Millers Bar in Islington

What an establishment, met Lewis Capaldi in there last week. Sound chap.

A whole night out with friends experience ruined by rude staff starting with the security guy and including the manager that didn’t let us get in on a Sunday when the online opening times were set up till 1am. We came at 11pm without being drunk or anything at all and were rejected to enter the premises as they said they are closed already. The security guy was extremely rude by saying that he is making the rules and he can close whenever he wants even though the schedule is set till 1am. I asked to speak with the manager which was even more rude than the security guy… I don’t know how these people get these positions and I wonder how they get hired in hospitality. The whole event happened on Sunday, the 30th March around 11pm. I hope the two “gentlemen” will see this review and will change their attitude towards pretending they are the big bosses😅

I am honestly shocked and in loss of words at how we have been treated. It was 10:50PM on a Sunday, it was me, my husband and one good friend of mine that wanted to go in and have a drink. We have been refused entrance although it clearly stated that the place was closing at 1 AM. We asked politely why it is closing since the hours are showing otherwise. The security spoke to my husband like he was human trash. He had an eastern european accent and was in his 40s-50s. My husband asked to speak to a manager and he was practically refusing saying “i decided with or without manager who comes in and who stays out”. Eventually he asked for the manager so this guy came out, with long hair and he looked like he was on something - he was even more rude than the security. I am not sure what is going on there or why they are feeling entitled to treat potential customers like human trash, but people like that don’t deserve to work in places where they have interactions with people. Such a shame for the place and the location. I will never return and I will escalate a complaint to your superiors , as I have never felt so humiliated in my life.

Mi bar favorito en la zona de Kings Cross, gran menú de bebidas, buena comida y gran servicio. Si viajo a través de Kings Cross o me alojo en la zona de Camden, me pregunto si visitar el bar Millers, el pub es perfecto para mis gustos, buena comida del pub y gran cerveza con mi música favorita sonando, el personal es fantástico, amable y servicial, siempre dispuesto a una charla. Los precios son justos con una gran opción para cumplir con la mayoría de los presupuestos. 5 estrellas.

Handy for King's Cross Station, decent pints, good service, lively atmosphere.

Horrible customer service, specially the bar tender with a long hair,must be definetly on some substance .Very rude and unpleasant.

Entré a un acogedor pub cálido, señora amable detrás de la barra y me sirvió un buen Guinness, mi amigo tenía un capuchino caliente encantador y disfrutamos de una hora allí, La señora también nos dio algunas recomendaciones de comida, ya que han dejado de servir comida. Así que seguimos su consejo y el restaurante del que nos habló era genial. Gracias.

Fui al bar a pedir una bebida solo para que un miembro del personal del bar me chasqueara los dedos y fuera extremadamente abrupto. Esto no solo fue grosero e irrespetuoso, sino también totalmente innecesario ya que estaba prestando atención. Fui educado y paciente como siempre lo soy con las personas que trabajan en lugares como aquí, ya que entiendo que a veces puede ser estresante y, por no mencionar, ingrato. Después de que me chasquearan los dedos arrogantemente, les pedí que se detuvieran, pero luego procedieron a hacerlo de nuevo y cuando perdí los estribos intentaron animarme aún más. No sé si esta fue su idea de una broma o si tienen un desdén general por los clientes del bar (que en última instancia están pagando su salario) pero esto es totalmente inaceptable. Si todos los que trabajaban detrás de una barra tuvieran este tipo de actitud, nivel de arrogancia y flagrante falta de respeto por los clientes, entonces nadie volvería a poner un pie en una casa pública. Estoy realmente disgustado y ciertamente me llevaré mi negocio a otro lugar a partir de ahora. Esperemos que este tema se pueda abordar, ya que realmente ha arruinado mi alta opinión de este pub! ¡Sorprendente!

Good prices, friendly staff and made new friends!

Popped in for a couple of pints and watched Arsenal in Europe on TV. As a 'Villa' fan (who also won - albeit a smaller margin) I was well received and enjoyed the 'banter.' As midlander looking for a "half decent" pint in London - I'm forced to admit I was not disappointed. Good atmosphere, good pint, good service - next time in the capital - I will know where to go! Thank you for your hospitality!

A traditional pub that only sells drinks. Cheap draft beer, a different atmosphere to go with friends or as a couple. I went there twice during my stay in London, and of course when I return to London I will return to this place.

Good pub, has some screens for sport. Rose wine was well priced - 2 large glasses for £14 and it was delicious, service quick and friendly.

Popped in a couple of days ago. First class service from two friendly bartenders - Sheila and David. Very well priced and good atmosphere all round. Will definitely return.

Great service brilliant atmosphere..

We accidentally arrived whilst an important Arsenal football game was being shown live on TV so it was very busy but a good friendly atmosphere but a bit whiffy. Nice Guinness. A good meetup pub with lots of seats. Good bar staff who coped very well with the crowd.

We stopped by on a Sunday night for a drink, the staff were professional and friendly. The environment was calm and the pub welcoming.

Small neighborhood pub that we found by chance and how lucky we were! Friday noon, people happily drinking in groups, good atmosphere. Great variety of beers. They have a small menu but enough to fill your belly and leave happy. We ate fish and chips, a classic. Good portion, it was very tasty and surprisingly cheap in a city like London. Very friendly and attentive staff. I would return for sure

Popped in for a pint and a sandwich... Staff were so friendly and inviting, like old school local in middle of Kings X...Beer was decent price, as was the food......Had a cheese and tomato toastie and for the price did the job.....Often pass through Kings X so will make sure to pop in... Cheers x

Proper pub with decent prices. The breakfasts are tasty and the pints good. On a weekend there is no food service, which is a bit disappointing, but the atmosphere is good and the staff welcoming. Near to Kings Cross too so great for a quick breakfast and a cheeky pint before a journey.

Poor quality. I said I don't like the square shape, they didn't listen to me, they didn't pay attention to customers, they cut too much of my nail length. It turned out to be an ugly manicure. They only care about money, no quality....it's a bad experience, it really upset me.

The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. It's bustling every day with locals drinking beer while playing soccer.

Millers was, is, and will (hopefully!) be an institution in the King's Cross area. For as long as I remember, it's been a great place to have a pint alone, catch up with friends, or meet new people. I've not been back for a while but I was glad to see that nothing has changed. It's still cheap(ish), staff are still brilliant and the atmosphere still great. Can't comment on the food (this time, but it used to be great, too!). As few outside tables, adequately covered and the toilets clean.

Pop in here on a regular basis when I'm travelling back North. Great pub and Sheila works very hard, always happy to help. Food is good quality home cooked. Beer is always on point. I would recommend a vist to anyone.

Only nipped in for a few pint on a Monday evening. Good selection of beers, friendly bar staff. Never been on a Friday or Saturday evening. Sure is busy at these times. The pub was fairly full for a Monday night. Nice pub.

Now this is the real thing. If you happen to be in Kings Cross and you miss old McGlynn’s, stumble on in for a cold Kronenbourg. Just a normal pub, at least when I was there, no horribly loud music. Nice.

Went here late one evening (Saturday?) and the place was literally jumping. The DJ was playing a range of up tempo disco/chart classics that had everyone grooving. Very busy. Very lively. Lots of fun.

Service was great, the woman behind the bar was really helpful and accommodating. Food was OK for the price, burger was a bit greasy. It was dark, but it's a pub at the end of the day. Overall decent for a quick bite and a drink.

Good looking local pub v near Kings Cross station. Visited for lunch. Relaxing, quiet, v nice food selection - good price and quick service too.

A touch lively but still mellow enough pub. I'm visiting from the US and the bar staff were very polite and helpful. It has a good neighborhood vibe that I can appreciate especially after long days at work. Never a hassle and still feels like good people are there to be with friends and have a great chat.

We had just arrived in London via the the tube, and were looking for a place that was not severely overpriced and had a nice vibe. Millers was perfect, had a great atmosphere and was the best place I had stopped for a drink that day. Great price great vibe.

Pub near King's Cross. Prices are reasonable for London and beer selection OK. You can be out the pub and in KX Station within 4 mins. Round of 4 pints, 1 half and bottle of lager - £25

Decent 'quick pint before the train' pub. Much cheaper than the Parcel Yard inside Kings-X, fast service and shows the football.

Lovely little pub within walking distance of the 3 big stations.

English breakfast was very good and the selection of drinks is fine for a fine price. The ambience feels traditional. Can totally recommend this pub.

Didn't get as far as tasting the food. Asked the older barmaid if they served breakfast. " Didn't you see the big sign on the way in?" , was the rude arrogant reply I got, gave me a menu and walked off, which is exactly what I did. Spend money elsewhere!!!

Friendly pub, Decent prices around the side of Kings cross so a total mix of people there, 6.4.23 update still friendly with a nice mix of people and still not to bad prices but must say the Guinness wasn't the best.

Had a cracking time on Monday at millers was down for the Newcastle match, staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly and to top it all was the cheapest pub in kings cross. Think I've found my local in London.

I discovered this pub yesterday just after my visit to the Emirates Stadium, very nice setting and owner and the little burger was very good, just 40 minutes from the stadium 🥰🥰

Outdoor heaters don't work, impossible to get service from bar staff, they just ignore you.

We had 20 minutes to grab some food. As soon as I mentioned this, our blt sandwiches were ordered directly with the kitchen and came out less than 10 minutes later. Tasted lovely and meant we were on our way quickly. Would definitely return.

Came from getting off the trains at King's Cross. 2 pints of Stella and a Sambuca Lemonade, 15 quid. In central London. That will do me, stayed all night, good boozer

I had a really lovely breakfast only £7 and very well cooked and quickly served . Very friendly manageress and very clean bar area , a great place to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner in central London .

Staying at hotel around the corner - Mllers become to go 2 pup for us. Good selection of beers, cheaper than most around!. They do well priced lunch menu- however did not get a chance to eat there. Good atmosphere friendly staff - making it feel like a local for customers .

Omg!!! You definitely need to try this pineapple coconut mojito, so amazing! Devin made a great one off the menu.!!! This place is one of my favourite ever bars in London

Wonderful, welcoming service, cleanest pub I've ever seen. The bartender/staff is amazing in particular; Sheila is the kindest bartender and makes you feel like you're on an episode of "Cheers", only been once a few weeks ago came back in today she recognised me instantly! Joe is so nice and helpful as well! Best bar at King's Cross great tunes relaxed and fantastic!

Been going to Millers since I moved to the area in November. Decent prices for the area, the staff are almost psychic in knowing what you're going to ask for. Gets crazy busy on football days as word has got around among visiting fans and they descend en masse. But never any trouble, Brian and Sheila and the rest of the staff know their stuff and it's an outer London pub in the centre of North London. Handy for the trains and a supermarket over the road for beverages for any journey you're on. 10/10.
