Caffe Nero in Islington

Another dirty branch of Nero. I get free drinks here (Vitality), and I still don't like it. I wish they would clear away the rubbish and dirty cups.

It's a coffee shop I which you pay too much for a simple white coffee this is not America..

My favourite little spot for a Caffe Nero in London, the inside is lovely & the atmosphere is very relaxing to sit down in. 🥜🥜🥜

Decent tea, fair cake - not too sweet. Dowdy interior.

If you like caffe Nero, here's the same. The staff may change, but so far, I've always been well attended here. There's plenty of space to sit down, and the atmosphere is quite relaxed (though it usually gets crowded at times, especially during weekends)

Always has a calm spacious area to work and relax.

Easily my favourite coffee shop in Islington.

Very poor behaviour from the staff and I believe the woman in the blue coat is the Manager. We left at 18:33 they wouldn't give us a minute to grab our bag and keep pushing us to get out. Shocking service no manners

Slow service, ordered a honey oat latte but just tasted like espresso

Had an americano with white chocolate milk, delicious. I also left my laptop behind by mistake and on returning they had kept it safely behind the til.

Really nice coat atmosphere and clean. But if a squeeze so not recommended for parties of 10> or wheelchairs etc.

Service at Coffee Nero deeply disappoints, overshadowing its otherwise pleasant ambiance. Staff interactions often come across as rude and indifferent, significantly detracting from the overall experience. While the coffee is commendable, the poor customer service unfortunately leaves much to be desired

I love Caffe' Nero and they serve good coffee. I have visited different branches and they are all associated by common simplicity and understatement. The right place to lose oneself in a good book whilst sipping a good coffee/tea, and enjoying a nice pastry on the side.

Croissants were delicious ,green tea too, lovely 2 girls, although was so busy as they working like speedy González . Yes if you go to London. U can have yummy food and plenty of space too.

The same man comes every day clearly on form of hallucinogen, talking to himself and clearly worrying other customers. Needs to be dealt with.

The staffs are so kind and helpful.

The slowest service I have ever experienced in a Cafe Nero. Avoid this branch if possible.

Bought a take away cappuccino coffee and it was only half filled when I opened the lid to check I was very disappointed.

Staff is super nice, and the coffee is great.

Staff are always working so hard, often only one member dealing with a queue! But they're speedy and kind. Very relaxed feel where you can have a quiet moment.

We love Caffè Nero and this branch is one of the best in terms of venue, atmosphere, comfy varied seating and cleanliness. Coffee up to the usual standard and service was good. If you want light and bright there are seats near the front as well as seats with lots of light at the back too. Plenty of sofas and comfy chairs. Visited on a Saturday late morning and it was relatively quiet so felt very relaxing place to chill with quality coffee.

Very cozy place to relax on a busy upper street. Staff members are all nice and friendly. Clean tables. Unfortunately, this peach roulade wasn't very nice, but I usually like their chouxnuts.

The barista was a little rude when I stood at the counter waiting to be served. They didn't say "hello" or "how can I help?", just "hmm?". I'm not sure if it was a traditional Italian way to serve or the way they were trained to welcome customers.

On Saturday the 30th of September I have witnessed and heard the manner of the so cold “manager” abusing the employees at the counter and shouting at them on the busiest day and hour of the week and in front of a very long que. Very rude and disrespectful to the employees and surely not competent enough to manage the place. It is also not professional for the manager to dress like a walk in the park rather than the work place. Felt bad for the two employees in the counter feeling embarrassed, please don’t be and I hope the owners can do something about that.

Absolutely rude staff and totally unreasonable. Close part of seating area 2h ahead of store closure . Management is happy with it? Totally unprofessional

The dirtiest Cafe Nero I have ever seen or been in...the coffee machines, the counters, the toilets...all filthy! Coffee was what it was, the poor barista was there on his own, trying his best, staffing obviously needs looking at as it was too much for one person! Wouldn't go again 😔

This place does not open at 7 every time I get there staff are either late or still trying to get the place ready. You would think staff would start at 6:30 to have it ready for customers at 7. It’s more like a 8am open.

Disappointed, Web said it will open at 7 but at 7: 45 still door shut

Best Nero compare to others in London.

Good atmosphere, but barista is a bit grumpy, and charged full price for a "luxury" mocha, and after the fact said he was out of whipped cream. Uh, that's what the "luxury" is, no?

We were there today and the service was excellent. Kubra was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everything was ok 😃😀

The aircon needs cleaning or something. The place smells really musty and mouldy. I stopped going regularly because it can’t be healthy to eat in there. I feel bad for the staff.

Pleasantly impressed with my visit. Customer service was spot on with speedy delivery of my tasty hot chocolate and scrumptious chocolate muffin. Far superior than a competitor a few doors away.

Went in to grab breakfast for on the go, I got a croissant and it was £2 (!) and it wasn’t very good at all, it was stale! Unfortunately I couldn’t take it back as I was already on the tube very disappointed.

A nice coffee shop. Not huge in size and not a huge selection but more than ample. Similarly, a selection of chairs from hard wood at tables to old collapsed armchairs

They close at 6pm on Sundays not at 7pm. Should probably change that. The barista was nice when informing us tho.

Toasted teacake. I ask for another piece of butter. No - you only get one I'm told. Another would cost 15p. 15p !!! Anywhere else, they're free. Rip off London.

One of the nicest Caffè Nero's I've visited. Stunning building, large windows, nicely spaced comfortable seating and very pleasant staff. Very quiet because quite a few people working on laptops but perfect place to sit and chill.

Quite busy but service was amazing.

I only came in to use up a Vitality voucher for a free drink. Otherwise I wouldn't normally come in to this place. It is dirty and depressing. You come out feeling a bit grubby. Not a great experience. Although in an attempt to find something good to say, I enjoyed the music that was playing. If you want a coffee on Upper Street there are so many better options until Caffe Nero decide to up their game and do some cleaning.

Short staffed. Dirty tables. Filthy teapot served to me. Have mad a complaint and heard nothing back - won't return

I had an experience with Caffè Nero which was lovely. I was served by Maria. I had a bad experience with a hot chocolate somewhere else. I really wanted to have a hot chocolate, and a cake. Maria was amazing, I was feeling quite emotional that day. She explained about the different hot chocolates and I had what Maria had recommended. I wanted to have a cake and was recommended a lemon drizzle cake and explained about it. I had both and is was both delicious. Such a good experience I absolutely love it here. Maria always is professional as well as informative and sweet. She is diligent, as well as a breathe of sunshine.

A big thank you to Kruba and her team for supporting a childrens charity so they can provide funds to provide wheelchairs for children !!!!! The team at neros -Angel have been collecting milk bottle tops which are then recycled and in turn the recyclingng company then donates money to the charity which enables them to support children needing wheelchairs .

Catena di caffè a cui non avrei dato un euro invece mi sono ricreduta. Buon espresso e buon cappuccino . Molto buone anche i cornetti e il tutto a prezzi ragionevoli. Anche l'ambiente simil industriale è carino.

One of my go to 'catch my breath' places in Angel area.

Had 2 juniors working on a busy morning. The pretty simple order was mixed up, and then forgotten about. Then I finally received the order in take away cups and not mugs like I requested. The cutlery snapped and didn’t work. Overall poor customer service and a poor experience.

Nice comfortable cafe with very good ambiance. They keep the music quiet and in the background, however there seems to be ongoing staffing issues. Also when the workers put the trash out in the evening they leave the door open and customers get frozen by the cold air at the front of the shop. The customer obviously does not come first here but the workers. Update 17th October 2019: Despite this being a large cafe, one toilet has been out of order for at least a couple of months and the other toilet does not even have a seat on it. The workers have a nice toilet but the customers who pay their wages have to put up with horrible facilities. To cap it all they just tried to overcharge me for a drink. Staff have changed and standards have fallen sharply.

Cakes are a little bit pricey to my likings but very cosy inside and rustic design. I was surprised by how long the shop was. You can't tell from outside

Waited 15 mins to be served , 2 girls one with glasses one with reddish hair so rude have no customer service skills no smiles nothing will not be returning to this neros by far the worst just due the the staff that work there

Caffe Nero is where made me like coffee, I wish there were more Nero's everywhere.

This place it’s used lots students and office staff around as office as clearly can been seen there computers and paperwork around sitting in here for hours at the time occupying tables for us who come just to enjoy a cuppa, staff been friendly specially a young gentleman called Josh it’s friendly chap and works hard in this place so others. Nero management needs to come with solutions about the tawts seating for hours at time with one coffe and doing office work, that’s gave you guys 4 ⭐️

I honestly don't know why companies think its ok to hire teenagers and nit train them in good customer service. They're on devices, can't greet you properly and look like you're interrupting their day. Not a pleasant experience.

Had the pestico iced coffee was Amazing still thinking about it

Well the coffee was tasteless for an espresso and kind of burnt tasting. In a place which is supposed to specialise in coffee this is a really bad place.

Nice coffee house....still my favorite of the big chains on the high street.

Basically one visits Cafe Nero to get a coffee and perhaps a snack of some sort. Well the coffee was rather bitter and kind of burnt tasting. In a place which is supposed to specialise in coffee this is a disgrace. I also had a prepackaged chicken sandwich which was pretty tasteless.

I had a bluberry muffin ,it was so hard,I couldn’t even eat it,I had to throw it away.

This is nice with comfortable seats, but seems to be understaffed. The toilets are always pretty gross and don't appear to be cleaned often or well maintained. An outside keypad lock would probably stop most the damage.

Nice big space making it a good pit-stop to take a break from the bustle of the high street. I was happy to find they actually had the vegan raspberry croissant which I’ve not been able to find in any other Nero so far. Unfortunately I was disappointed by my coffee. I asked for an oat latte with the Peruvian coffee which I get at my local Nero every week and is delicious, but this one was very bitter, the coffee tasted old and the oat milk was not blended properly which was very disappointing.

Nice space. But the service was slow and pretty bad - they didn't bring over my food and stood there chatting for a while before actually giving me cutlery. Not sure if I'll come back

I Love this branch ❤️ The staff are all so friendly and excellent at their jobs. The customer service is amazing. It's always clean there and the manager (I think her name is Jess) is lovely and quite pretty too.

What an amazing coffee shop! One of my favourites in the area. Perfect for working on your laptop or just chill. The staff is always super friendly and they are so fast behind the counter! Seriously impressed by the service. One lady in particular, I think her name is Jess, is lovely and her smile is contagious!

Website and Google page says they close at 7:30, they kicked customers out at 6:30 and not politely. The staff is not friendly.

I really like the food in your shop and every product you sell is nice but all the People works here are super slow and lazy . I work in a restaurant near the shop and I came every day because in the only coffee bar near . Every day is the same , Only two maximum three people in the queqe and 20 minutes to take the orders . Came on !!! Is not possible at all !! Please tell to your employer to wake up a little bit they need to be bit more helpful and fast !! Is not acceptable! End is not just me , every day other people as well complain with me while we are in queqe togheter waiting ages . Please As a usual customer i aspect someone it will take action from that comment and something will change . Thank ‘you .

Awful service, I was the only one at the counter as two staff completely ignored me for almost 5 minutes - staff clueless, when I asked if I can be served one said ‘in a few minutes’ a girl was wandering around behind the till in normal clothes, no uniform and was slowly filling her purse from the spare change pot on the till and when I asked if she was on duty she slowly looked at me bewildered and quietly said ‘oh.. no, no…’ staring at me perplexed - laughed with her colleague and walked off, I still have no idea if she actually worked there or not! Bizarre behaviour, after waiting 2 more minutes I told them I was leaving and went to Pret 2 mins away - a world of difference!

Nice coffee shop with plenty of decent quality seating. They make a good flat white. Caffe Nero's pastries are not so great, but you know, first world problems.

Nice place to chill. Have grabbed a coffee here before and the coffee is consistently good. Different seating throughout. Can usually find somewhere comfy to sit. Staff always welcoming and professional.

Pleasant staff in a charming building with the nice flourish of books sprinkled on shelves at the far end, some very interesting, make this the nicest Nero I have been to and always enjoy it and today was no exception.

Open, spacious and friendly staff make visiting this branch a joy!
