Great food and service, decor looking tired.

It’s a spoons . Team leader good but the new staff . Just don’t understand customer service. They think you’re insulting them .

Takes way too long to be served. Staff are nice. Just not enough of them.

Cheapest place in the area, but a decent place to get a beer

The White Swan Pub Was ok apart from the disabled toilet had a red table in there so if like myself you have mobility issues you would down mark the venue

Relatively cheap place especially when the menu is full of locals.. there is a drink selection, but the food is smaller. It worked for us.. 5 people food+beer 55£

Wetherspoons, you can't go wrong. Very friendly staff. Monica in charge of beer today. Had great quality Loch Lomond Lost in Mosaic. Staff super efficient. Superb people watching. Very mixed clientele.

Went here as stop off for rugby, ordered food and drinks via app.. Was really quick, breakfast Was great nice quality, just as good as decent hotel.. Would def have food again here and drinks was quick, manager/floor manager was making sure everyone was OK as well

Miserable faces behind the bar. The guy who served me, acted like he didn't want to be there. He did not say one word, just had a stroppy look on his face. Maybe he shouldn't work in a pub if he doesn't like to smile nor communicate with customers.

The fish was not fresh and they refused to remake the meal after I notified the staff. Would not recommend the fish and chips. Will not be back.

It was quite busy and it took a while to get a drink. Despite that, loved the atmosphere and it was clear it is a popular hangout. The people sitting next to us were friendly and even took a picture of me and my friends. The ladies toilets surprised me the most- they were spacious, very clean and there were many toilets, l had expected 2 or 3 but there were at least 10.

The cooks here are okay and I can't fault them for their cooking, and I know these kinds of things are pre-prepared anyway, but Wetherspoon's latest version of Southern chicken strips is chemically or metallic(?) tasting and pretty disgusting.

We were attending a St Patrick's day gig at The Garage, but no Arsenal ticket, no entry! 66 years of age!

Meals were absolutely delicious, especially for the price, service was really quick and the staff’s been nice and helpful. Def would recommend to anyone.

It the cleanest Wetherspoons, tables not cleaned very quickly , was a few tables when we arrived, maybe a one off, good for a quick stop and cheap pint

This was a superb pub for drinking, with a grand two floor interior! The curved design of the second floor above is neat and bright lights are really nice, counter is well laid out too. I appreciated the Christmas theme and pint of Angelo Poretti was solid, tables are kept clean too!

Pizzas were great, as was the Cookie Crunch with extra fruit. Unfortunately sometimes it is so loud you can’t hear yourself think or the other person talking. Best after 7 for a quieter atmosphere.

The beer selection is good and pizza lovely - does get hectic and waiting times can be long sometimes

I visited this pub today and, unfortunately, felt quite uncomfortable due to a racist and xenophobic comment from some of the crowd. While I understand that the venue itself may not control the behavior of every customer, I believe it’s important to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment. This experience left a negative impression, and I would be hesitant to return.

Went in for a breakfast and the Staff are extremely rude, Won’t be going here again, avoid this place, the customer service is unbelievable bad.

Rude staff in the morning, Terrible customer service, staff act like school girl bullies, how they get employed is beyond me, afternoon staff are lovely and polite and welcoming, this review is for morning staff only apart from the chef who is lovely.

Two floor setting with the upper floor overlooking the ground. Unusually for wetherspoons, the toilets are on the ground floor. Usual food and drink offering at good prices and quality.

I ordered a takeaway and was asked to stay by bar ,it would take 15 mins,had to go to them after 30 mins as no sign of food,they forgot to get it ,it was ready and done by kitchen staff on time.So Front of House staff to pay more attention,perhaps they not used to takeaway Service as majority eat in house .

Food was a pleasant surprise (haggis burger). Chips could have been crisper. Service was quick. Pretty rammed even at 17:30 on a January Friday. Very handy for the Garage across the road. Great prices for the capital.

Currently my favourite Wetherspoons to go to. The toilets are nice and relatively clean, the seating upstairs gives you a space to breathe with less people around and the prices of the beers are simply unbeatable. The food is average like in every other Spoons, but you didn't come here to eat a Michelin star grade food, did you? It serves its purpose and costs little money if you include a drink of your choice. The only reason why I didn't give the fifth star is that when they bring you drinks/food they very rarely take the empty glasses and plates away to make space on your table. I wonder why is it so difficult. Also, this place swarms with Arsenal fans and I'm a true Blue who has to get past this fact, haha.

We visited for the traditional Burns Week Haggis, Neaps and Tatties though had to explain to the staff what the dish was. Also enjoyed several beers from the concurrent Wetherspoons Beer Festival, which were priced at £2.99 a pint, below what it said on the pumps. At 6 pm when we arrived it was quite difficult to find a table but it thinned out later. The 1950s retro parquetry and lighting is to be admired.

Have been coming here for a few years. Although I am not local but I try to come here as much as I can, especially when I am in the area. Usually good guest ale selection but food is just so so, especially the fish and chip I had this time. It’s small and a bit drier. Staff are fine, I have never had any problem with them. Update on the visit on the 2nd of Jan 2 major issues in the evening. First they sent the wrong food to our table and we didn’t realise, because me and my friend thought the counter part ordered the food and the waiter mentioned our table number when handing the food to us. After we took a few bites, the guy who delivered the food came to the table asking if we ordered the food and before we could answered, he said we would have to pay for the food. My question was, if we didn’t order the food and it’s their mistake for placing the wrong food at the wrong table, why do we need to pay for their mistake? My friend didn’t want to argue, so he just went to the bar and paid. 2nd issue. I order a can of crazy beer and it tasted off. I complained and the manager insisted that it tasted fine. What a memorable experience the staff provided. I will never go back.

Table service from the app is shocking, no one cares and they give you any beer to keep you happy when you complain about waiting over 30mins for a drink

I normally choose an older style pub. The White Swan has modern decor which I found interesting to observe. Upstairs there were views of porthole shaped windows displaying groups of wine/ spirit bottles lit from behind. Popular so busy. Service and food good. Drinks at sensible price in London. Steaks were the special of the day.

Possibly the worst Spoons i've been in & that's quite an award after being in The Kings Tun the day before over in Kingston S.E London where Most the customers look like extra's from The Adams Family. The main Difference was £7.02 for 2 dinks in Kingston & £10.25 for THE SAME 2 DRINKS in Islington

Very big menu and location! Food is good and prices are even better! Good menu deals!

Just avoid breakfasts. The meat is rarely cooked properly. Sausages and bacon are subject to the microwave (why, not the grill? It's really lazy from the kitchen staff, the grill stripes on the bacon does not fool anyone). No choice of bread, always white. Never Fried bread or tomatoes. They also forget key items e.g mushrooms as they did today. No seasoning applied. Herbs? Expensive food for what it is. Sad because most of their other dishes are decent enough....

Ordered on the app and the food didn’t arrive, went to speak to the bar staff twice, who firstly assured us that they’d received the order then half an hour later when the food hadn’t arrived said they in fact hadn’t and we’d need to order again. I was charged twice and the manager Alexandra was completely incompetent and useless in resolving.

Stopped by here before the Robert Finlay concert at the Union Chapel. A decent enough Spoons. Friendly service. Decent ultimate burger. The Mad Squirrel IPA was actually quite good.

A veritable charnel house awaited! Skulls, bones, and oozing green slime draped the room as if inviting me to stay until dawn—or longer! The decorations were enough to chill the very blood in your veins...if only I could still taste such mortal pleasures! Ah, the Ultimate Burger! A monstrous stack of meat, as thick and juicy as the throbbing veins of the living! I sank my fangs—I mean, my teeth—into it, and the succulence nearly made me swoon. My companion, equally possessed by the dark spirit of the evening, feasted upon the Korean Chicken Burger. The sweetness and spice were like a siren's call, pulling us deeper into a shadowy abyss of flavour. The wings, oh, the wings! Dripping with fiery sauces that burned like the first rays of sunlight upon my cursed flesh! A taste so wickedly delightful, it almost made my immortal heart beat once more. And to quench our thirst—Guinness, deep and dark as a moonless grave, thick and satisfying as freshly spilled vitae. Each sip a reminder of my bloodlust, a drink that could pass for the finest vintage in a pinch! The decorations, ah! What mortals might find frightful, I found...amusing. Severed limbs, grotesque skulls, and a mad scientist’s bubbling brews, as if the very pub itself were beckoning me to step deeper into its web of horror. Wetherspoons. You know what you're getting. This pub is a very roomy place and comfortable with a convenient location. If you have been to any Wetherspoons this review is unnecessary. For those who haven't, Wetherspoons is a... Better value rendition of a British pub. It is somewhere between traditional and modern but not to the extent of a bar/gastro pub. You will struggle to find better value food and drink anywhere that isn't fast food and absolutely not anywhere that serves alcohol which isn't a supermarket. When I went it was very quiet and had plenty of tables. Orders were through the app and served at the table and provided quickly. Great place, thanks!

Present during Arsenal PSG. Very nice spoon, a little expensive compared to some others. The service is very efficient and the toilets are clean. Attention for visiting supporters from a certain time the bar is only accessible to Arsenal fans with a ticket for the match

Not a bad Wetherspoons. We visited on an Arsenal match day and they did not seem to be geared up for lots of breakfast orders. My order was wrong and I saw many other people complaining too, my family had finished before I got my food. No compensation offered. The drinks are very good price. There is little atmosphere but it’s a Wetherspoons with no music so you can’t expect much!

Food was excellent, Staff were very friendly.

The service here was excellent. I needed to borrow a phone charger, and the lady at the bar was kind enough to let us use her personal one, which was really appreciated. The bar itself was very spacious and comfortable. However, the food wasn't the best. We ordered a pizza and chips with gravy. Unfortunately, they forgot to cut the pizza, and the chips tasted undercooked. The gravy also lacked much flavor. While the service was great, the food could definitely use some improvement.

Short IC1 female shouldn't be in a customer facing role. Has no knowledge, no personality. Couldn't even order a meal without her getting it wrong and being rude to me. Please train her or put her in the kitchen, toilets or basement counting stock.

Great friendly bar staff. Haven’t eaten here yet - only at baker st branch. Unfortunately it’s not as nice as the baker st branch for decor. It’s not particularly inviting and doesn’t have a nice ambiance. Could do with a refurb if they’re serious about keeping this branch open.

All in all a great Wetherspoons. Staffs friendly and casual. One day they pranked each other and one of the staff screamed and everyone heard. I'd say it was a good thing, there's nothing great about being too formal. Thanks for the vibes!

Food was okay been it before it was okay.but today the staff we're soo lazy and unhelpful and just rude.at least one staff member a young female was quite considerate.but other then that not sure I would go again.

Used this as our base for a couple of days in the capital! Great prices great food ...porridge was top notch! Definitely a favourite and will be calling again!

It's very noisey, packed solid at 5pm, decor dated, prices for a burger gone upwards! It's not worth it any longer (yes, i know costs have gone up). Only spoons in the area for miles now due to so many closures. So if you you're a group, get there ahead of time! Price hike again (24/07/24).

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat before a country gig at the Assembly Hall, and the staff are friendly, and the food was very good as with every Wetherspoon I have visited. I came back after the gig with my wife and had several more G&Ts and it was the perfect end to the night.

What can I say about the wetherspoons, everyone we've been in and there's been alot have been fantastic. All that little bit difficult Unique. Great food a large menu. Drinks are much cheaper than other pubs. Just so good around a great place to go.

Nice food tables are a little dirty

Lots of seating especially for meals. Dining areas separate from bar area. Not to busy but then it was a Tuesday lunchtime. Good place to meet being within 50 yards approx of Highbury and Islington underground station. Good for small groups as plenty of seating and an upstairs dining area which may not always be open.

Friendly staff and significantly quieter than others Spoons I've been to which is a plus. The drinks took quite long to arrive though

Pub was very dirty with lots of tables that hadn't been cleared. Service was very slow despite not being particularly busy. Ordered a burger but it didn't taste very nice. Chicken wings were very overcooked and like chewing leather.

Staff really shouldn't hang around the wrong end of the bar and look pained when they need to serve someone.

Just not impressed with this establishment whatsoever. Cleanliness isn't good, dark and drab interior, more like a working man's pub/restaurant. No relaxing area or seating to just relax and enjoy a drink.
