Not a bad trendy place to stop by to break up your journey to refresh yourself in general or to meet up with friends and family. Loos are downstairs which is a plus and there's a good range of drinks and food on offer at sensible prices.

It's very noisey, packed solid at 5pm, decor dated, prices for a burger gone upwards! It's not worth it any longer (yes i know costs have gone up). Only spoons in the area for miles now due to so many closures. So if you you're a group get there ahead of time!

I use the place a lot I know the manager there as well as some of the bar staff they never been rude to me I even done my Podcast there on my life in my Band The Dark which took nearly 4 hours I reconmend it to anything and resnabale prices too 2 Large wines £5.90.😎.

Wethers poons is not noted for speedy service, but this pub has the worst service I've ever experienced.

A one star review even seems to much for a terrible Establishment like this. beyond dreadful. The service was abysmal, the staff seemed drunk or either high on drugs they was constantly disinterested over stressed and extremely rude. Not to mention, how disrespectful the manager there was when I wanted to make a comment on the service… the atmosphere was very unpleasant and dirty… the drinks and food were poorly made. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save yourself the misery and avoid this establishment at all costs.

Interesting night. Pub was lovely on the whole; the history of this place is especially notable. Great prices so spent several hours here. Serving staff were very polite but the doormen were a little computer-says-no and probably need versing on the licensing act - almost chucked us out towards the end of our night for bringing in our evening shopping (which, unsurpringly, happened to include some beer/wine) on account of it being "illegal". Apparently taking a Tesco sandwich onto their premises would also be "illegal" lol.... Bit odd for a chain of this size to hear such obtuse rubbish having spent a few hundred quid for mother's day already. So unnecessary.

I'd say typical wetherspoons but this one is different, it's dull and anonymous. Even the staff have that miserable aura about the. It's not their fault, it's working in a soulless place

The worst Wetherspoons I've ever been to. Service is extremely slow (it takes more than an hour to order a beer), staff is very rude. There is no smoking area, and the whole place is super filthy, even the tables are sticky and not cleaned regularly. Terrible management

Very convenient location a stones throw from numerous bus routes and a tube station. Saturday lunchtime visit but food and drinks served extremely quickly (ordered on appl though pub was probably only half full. Atmosphere fine. Mains were great and freshly cooked etc but daughter complained her warm cookie dough sandwich was cold, (not cold enough to send back but too cold to finish off which she normally would!)

Food was fine just your regular spoons . Don’t understand the stupidity of having an outdoor seating area where you can’t smoke. Security are so rude. Got asked for ID twice by them as if I was ordering a pint. Bloody ridiculous pattern up

The White Swan Wetherspoons pub in Highbury is a great place to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The pub is spread across two floors, with the second floor being smaller than the first. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the quality is excellent. The food is also good, with a wide range of options to choose from. I would highly recommend the fish and chips and curry sauce, which was great!

Fantastic pub if you ever fancy a few beers in Islington and not have cash intravenously removed from your account. The curries aren't bad either.

Usual garbage service. Doesn't matter how many people are behind the bar you usually find only one or two serving, the others are too deep in conversation. Usual Spoons.

Don't like camera's in ladies toilets

Great Guy and so are the friendly and efficient staff behind the Bar. A small accident with the drinks serving to our table became a hilarious event ...and was promptly reordered and redelivered to our tables. Wow, rude bar staff. We ordered a couple of pints at the bar and thought one of the glasses could be filled to the top. Bar worker replied 'don't think so but put a splash more in, slamming the glass down and spilling a bit. Later we ordered food at the bar and more drinks. Drinks didn't come so I went back to the bar only to be told 'the drinks were poured when you were here and you didn't take them' (lie)very grumpily again. Why would I spend any more money in here? You get what you pay for I suppose. The food serving staff were very friendly though, even enquired after out drinks for us and said 'they're coming'. They weren't.

Was in Uxbridge for 4 nights ate at Wetherspoons for 3 of them nights visited Isslington the last night and had meal at Wetherspoons there. Good food great service although Isslington had no brandy glasses was offered a whiskey tumbler glass to thick. Fabulous value for money and the beer and lager were spot on

Went in on an Arsenal "WIN" day and the atmosphere was electric! Good fun. Lots of pissed up happy folks. They were even alright when I said, that my friend who was with us. Supported Spurs. 🤣🤣

A themed pub, the theme being awful 1070's interior design. As always though, it's the most affordable way to buy a pint when not at home.

Standard witherspoon, toilet is miles away, beer is cheap, it was a match day so served in plastic. It was extremely warm.

Very lively and of course the interior of the wetherspoons is amazing, they're running an amazing student deal meaning you can get a good meal for a very VERY reasonable price

One of the better 'spoons. It wasn't too busy on the day that I visited, but I have been here before when it was uncomfortable. The choice of Real Ales on the day was not spectacular, which is unusual for the venue. Overall, I would recommend this bar.

Situated close the Highbury corner and set back, you'll find a large fronted JD Wetherspoons called The White Swan. Resembling something of a reclaimed cinema. It is, in my view, a beacon of honest food hope. Surrounded in the near vicinity with either artesian £££ or cardboard fast food restaurants. Although not as cheap as it used to be, the Swan offers food at a price without losing your shirt. Good breakfast and lunch. If you are working in the area, look no further else. You may end up paying £5 for a small sausage roll or £8+ for fast food that has no taste and leaves you hungry after 10 minutes.

Ordered a drink on the app, been waiting for a while, l could see the drinks on the edge of the bar a few mins before hand, so l waited another 5 mins, so l went down there 3 barmaids ignored me, until l got someone's attention, l told them l have been waiting for our drinks for the last 20mins, and her excuses was they were busy. This is the 2nd time this has happened, not happy! I have been a bar manager for over 30years, and this is the worst pub that l have ever entered

Went in for vegan breakfast, was very nice and very good value, especially for London.

I enjoyed a very good half naga chicken with chips accompanied with a high-quality craft beer for a little over a tenner. Quiet on my visit to this pub on a cool Tuesday night, unlike some of the other spoons near Holborn.

After 4 years we returned to the White Swan for a meal. I doubt that we will ever come back. Food was unpleasant. Staff not very helpful. Not a very good Weatherspoon. My friend said to add that it is a very depressing place .

Visited for drinks on Thursday evening. Busy with nice atmosphere. Gents toilets best we have come across in a Wetherspoons. Will return.

Good pub near Islington Highbury station

Ordered the large breakfast with 2 slices of toast. It came pretty quickly and was delicious. The only thing is, the beans could've been a little hotter but it all filled a spot nonetheless. Server was very enthusiastic and outgoing. Great service and would come again

Large Weatherspoons brightly lit and spacious. Good selection round drink and food selection Certainly one of the favourites. Staff could be more friendly with proper eye contact though.

It’s strange to watch staff walking around drinking cans of monster or bottles of j20 when serving. Also I witnessed a burger and chips being taken to a customer and a member of staff stopping the waiter to take chips off the plate and eat them.Then carefully arranging the hole left. Also witnessed a disabled gentleman explaining that the handle to the toilet was stiff. After listening for 20 seconds the employee who was in a Arsenal shirt then walked off into the kitchen saying yes it’s stiff leaving him standing a bit bewildered. The staff are even on their phones as they slam your food on your table Thanks But never again

Birthday. I am a usual customer of Witherspoon especially in Southend. I use a lot of Witherspoons pub & the white Swam in Highbury. However tonight was a bad experience. We came in for my daughter in law's birthday We were having a good time & already spent nearly £40. I went to the bar & was about to spend another £40 when I was told by the manager a Mr. D Kubu that we won't be served anymore because my daughter in law was intoxicated. This is totally wrong, your manager:s judgement call was totally wrong. I tried to reason with him but he would not listen My daughter in law was merry on her birthday but she was not loud or drunk. I am experienced in the hospitality industry & I think your manager handled it badly. I believe that he was inexperienced to deal with this situation as shown by his youth. He totally made the wrong call & as a result you have lost my custom & all my friends & believe me that is quite substantial. I will not step in a Wetherspoon pub again..

Considering it’s a Wetherspoons, I’m hardly expecting it to look like the Ritz. But this is a pretty dumpy Wetherspoons as far as they go. Some pretty odd characters in there too, however cheap drinks are always decent.

The most awful experience ever!! The worst pub I’ve ever been too. The manager was unapproachable and totally rude. His name he gave was D Kuhn which seems to be fake. We tried to get drinks but didn’t want to speak to us due to being upset about the noise we was making. We were celebrating a birthday. My mum was uncomfortable with the other table as they were being really loud but blamed us. Never go to this terrible pub. The famous cock is much better and has respectable service. These people do not appreciate the job or like the public.

Typical Wetherspoon - what you pay is what you get. Food was ok, good value, although kids got milk Buttered chicken & they hated it, but that was personal preference. When they ordered boneless chicken, they were happy with it. Toilets are ok, not the cleanest. Atmosphere is ok, not too exciting, just ok as a quick stop over to grab some food & drink. It’s next to the Highbury station, it has a top level. Some stairs to get in. Families with children welcomed until 9pm.

Love Shipyard beer. In this pub had the worst one. No head on it, tasted awful. The made some excuse about the sprinkle head! The pub they closed in the Angel was a 100 times better! Why close that!

I had a great experience at this Wetherspoons! There was an obscured man being very aggressive towards myself and my partner and before it could escalate further I informed the staff! When I say ANNA deserves a raise! She instantly was onto it, keeping a close eye on the man in question, constantly came over to check if we were okay and when the man left she followed him out to ensure he didn’t come back and cause more chaos. I felt extremely protected by Anna, she’s a huge credit to the team. Very on point, friendly and caring! It could’ve gone so left but thanks to her I will definitely be returning! Thank you
