Had chicken bbq skewer meal cooked perfect! Money well spent ☆☆☆☆☆

What a shame that a nice meal was ruined by being almost cold

Happened on the pub on a very busy Sunday lunchtime. On finding we had a dog which we'd left in the car, the Manager quickly found a dog friendly table for her, together with a blanket, and later a big bowl of meat from the carvery! We ordered the large fish and chips and were warned there was a 30 minute wait which gave us time to enjoy our drinks. The meal when it came was beautiful, if large! Probably the best fish and chips we have had in a pub. The Manager kept coming over to check if everything was ok and all the staff were very friendly considering how busy it was. Definitely trying the carvery next time - it looked lovely, and we don't usually do carveries!

Visited the gingerbread for carvery, food was lovely. Served by Keira, such an excellent waitress. Very well mannered, what a credit to the team she is.

Big shout out to Freya and Charlotte (hope I got it right). Above and beyond what they needed to do, we were tablets 22 about 6.30pm Saturday 28th Jan 2025. We ordered food but then had to leave. They not only kept our table until we returned 30 min later, but madd sure the meal was as good as it would have been if we had it when ordered. Top class thank you and sorry chef for messing you about on a busy evening. I did mention to Kim on the night. Ken

Lovely carvery today, pleasant staff made us feel very welcome it was my partners birthday they bought his cake out and sang happy birthday the gentleman who serves the carverys lovely man

Fantastic service lovely staff was amazing

Nice and quiet, food was fresh and well presented. Staff lovely and chatty. Returned for a breakfast with Son and his GF, breakfast was piping hot and beautifully presented. Drinks were served at just the right time, most places serve them ages before your meal and you are left going up for another.

Food was very mediocre Steak was fatty and tough on the mixed grill, onion rings over cooked. Rump steak fatty and tough. Everything was luke warm and piping hot as it should be

What a surprise today, took family member’s for Sunday Carvery, Gary was fab, brilliant with kids, makes you feel very welcome. Will deffo be back.

The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Cannot fault the service and Gary, Kim and their staff are always pleasant and helpful. My favourite place when eating out especially on special occasions. We are frequent diners there. Recommend anything on their menu.

We went on Christmas Day, what a lovely experience, food was amazing chef made us feel very welcome. Very happy made us all including kids feel comfortable, staff were amazing will definitely do this again

Went here for Christmas dinner, absolutely fantastic. Brilliantly organised, such an easy, relaxed dining experience. Special mention to Gary the kitchen manager, who gave us excellent customer service, was super friendly and approachable and the food was sublime! Would definitely recommend and will be returning next Christmas!

Review on behalf of the cruising couple! New to the town, I think they’ve found their new local! Friday night fish and chips for her, gammon and chips for him, two clear plates, the wine is good, the Guinness 0% welcome and the bonus blood orange G&T an absolute treat! They are both very happy and stuffed! (We also like the carvery!)

Good value friendly staff well cooked food in large adult & small kids portions especially good value is their traditional carvey…oh and they do a good range of deserts but menu seemed to focus on “ice creamy” dishes like Banana Split, Knickerbocker Glory etc

Would highly recommend booking for big parties. We had a table for 22 of us yesterday. The table had been laid out with Christmas crackers for everyone, and party bags with balloons for the little ones. We had pre-ordered our food from the menu and the service was great for both food and drinks. Really good value. It's also wheelchair friendly. Thank you to all the staff - we really appreciate your hard work.

Sarayah was very good, the food was amazing and the beer was perfect!

First time here. Ordered carvery and ultimate mixed grill. All meat was well cooked and full of flavour. Steak was best I've had in a mixed grill. Chicken was soft and tender. Wife's carvery was large portions with plenty of choice of veg. Stuffing was extra tasty. We had our dog with us and a waitress bought over a pot of meat for her. Can't complain with that kind of service and saved me sharing my steak with her. Drinks reasonably priced. We will be back.

Just can't fault it The large fish and chips is amazing value, but all of our food was freshly cooked, flavoursome and piping hot. All of the staff were polite and attentive By far the best value in the area

Absolutely horrific, if I could rate 0 I would. Service was terrible, staff were rude and had a serious attitude issue. Food was terrible. Some was served cold, but overall completely unacceptable. Need to sort this out or needs to be shut down.

Absolutely fanatic time today at the gingerbread man market Drayton , nothing was to much trouble for Gary and Kim and there wonderful staff , my granddaughter maddie had a wonderful time for her birthday with 20 of her friends, first class place to visit , highly recommended

We turned up late in our motorhome (free overnight parking) sadly, we arrived too late for dinner...however the wonderful Kim went out of her way to reopen the kitchen and cook us 2 lasagnes. Very kind of her!. Pub is massive and food is great. Campervan friendly.

Took the kids in to the wacky as they love it in there and they always come out with smiles on there faces i think the way the staff actually get involved to is just amazing always doing games with them we always get made welcome too which is nice thing too and the food! Wow! Kim and gary put on a good spread on the carvey deck! But the main menu food is always spot on and the size of meals is always good too so defo 5 stsr from me and i love a cold beer 👌

The food is very basic and not worth the price.

Awful staff. Abrupt, miserable and unhelpful. Ignored by several staff while waiting to serve as they chatted with each other. Beef was like leather, vegetarian pie so overcooked it was totally inedible, Yorkshire puds like rubber. The toilets were absolutely filthy. We are a group of four who like to try different restaurants but there was absolutely nothing about this place that was positive. Definitely not recommended at all. Managers need to be fired!

Lovely food and good value, especially with the free children's meals. Excellent service from Lexi. Overall clean but tired. A lick of paint would be great.

The veg was not cooked through, the gravy was cold, yorkshire pudding was rock hard and the parsnips over cooked.

Who ever is rating this sheet hole more than 1 star can clearly not drive or not capable of walking further and seeing what’s out there. Every pub in market Drayton is better than this don’t waste your time or money. Staff look at you like you’re a piece of sheet the manager sits in the corner with friends when it’s clear they are on shift. Maybe don’t upset your employees and I wouldn’t have to listen to how you do nothing and have sheet attitude towards your staff. Why they refurbished this place is beyond me they should of sold it to joules brewery which brings me to say.. if you like a good beer, good ale or Seasonal drinks get yourself down to the red lion the chef isn’t an expert in microwave technology unlike the gingerbread man they actually care about what’s presented to you. Do better be better than the gingerbread sheet hole!

Amazing food! must be one of the top meals of my life, the staff were wonderful and happy to chat for a minute, had the best apple pie i’ve ever eaten in my life! compliments to the chef!
