The staff were friendly and the snacks were delicious. Somewhat limited offerings, though it is just a wee place. We bought some scones to take away, as well as our croissant snacks. Coffee was good, too!

An aspiring cafe, much better that what you would normally expect from a park-setting, located in Gildredge Park. Cream Tea and fresh cakes, garnished with fruit, makes the experience more up-market than your average park-based cafe. Pleasant service, a loyalty card scheme and a wide range of available beverages makes the Gingerbread Kitchen a definite hit for me. And it’s dog friendly too, which is always an added bonus!

On a recent visit to Gildredge park I visited the gingerbread kitchen and was completely overwhelmed with the fantastic customer service and quality of food. This is my first visit to Eastbourne and myself and my wife have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. So much to see and do and the locals are all very friendly. A hidden gem and extremely helpful when I had hurt my back thank you 💺💺

Friendly happy service, plenty of room inside to social distance even after lifting covid restrictions, we keep coming back for our holiday at a flat on The Goffs Road next door. We can sit outside and watch over the kids in the playground only yards away. Coffee is gorgeous. Can I take this cafe home with me please? ;-) NB, the location shared by TA is not quite right. Cafe is in the park next to playground, half way between the northern side exits to the Goffs.

Had a takeaway cappuccino this morning from this lovely little tearoom in the park. The coffee was fine but what impressed me was the cheerful welcome and service I got despite my modest purchase. Thank you.

This is, I believe, a council owned property that is let out. It's got new people running it now and it now has tables and chairs inside. There is a fridge with drinks in it. The menu has changed, see photo, mainly cakes, just sausage rolls for savoury eats - they do more in the summer. We ordered hot chocolates priced at £2.40 each. For £1 more you can get cream and marshmallows. The toilet is outside, you have to get a key from the person serving, you come outside and turn left and have to go right to the back of the building and then unlock a padlock and pull a very rusty, big bolt back to open the door - I couldn't manage the bolt, it was terribly stiff and had to go back and get my husband. Inside is like a public toilet except there is soft toilet paper and liquid handwash bottles. There was a warm air hand dryer. It wasn't the cleanest toilet I've ever been in but it was ok. The hot chocolate wasn't hot enough for my liking but it tasted nice. The young lady serving here was very friendly and there are free dog biscuits that you can take for your dog/s, which is a lovely touch. We did find it wasn't warm enough inside here but it was a very cold day.

Recommended by one of SWMBO's friends, the Wife and I attended last weekend. We struggled a bit to find the place (it's tucked away in "The Works" building but are very glad we persevered. Lovely staff, open and warm atmosphere and plenty of comfortable seating. The menu is a little small but, as is only to be expected when this is the case, everything is fresh, excellently made and delightful.
