I'm a regular user of many of the coffee shops in town and this is my favourite. Always made welcome by the Greek family who run the cafe. The coffee is cheaper than others with a double espresso only £1.50. Some good hearty Greek snacks and lunch meals also available at a very reasonable price. Will continue to support a great family run business.

Sofilia has become one of our regular stops for coffee or lunch. The coffee is very high quality and the food home made, authentic and very tasty. The spinach and spring onion filo pastry is particularly good and the salad comes with olives and olive oil from the families very own olive grove back in Greece. The moussaka, again home made, is very authentic and a perfect light lunch. Delicious! The home made baklava is soo moist and delicious you can't resist them. Highly recommended and true Greek hospitality.

I stumbled across this place while looking for a simple cheap lunch in the area. I had biftekia and a Greek salad which was authentically delicious and also very reasonably priced (£5 for a large portion of 4 biftekia and salad, £3.50 for a small). The owne/manager was charming and went out of her way to accomodate.

Recommended by one of SWMBO's friends, the Wife and I attended last weekend. We struggled a bit to find the place (it's tucked away in "The Works" building but are very glad we persevered. Lovely staff, open and warm atmosphere and plenty of comfortable seating. The menu is a little small but, as is only to be expected when this is the case, everything is fresh, excellently made and delightful.

Rude staff, i believehim to be the owner. Restaurant unclean. Food very dry and bland. I would definitely not recommend here.

A small but creative menu making the most of Sussex produce. The vegetarian and vegan options were all delicious. Great house wine. Excellent service. And a real bonus: hearing aid wearers can enjoy their meal AND a conversation at the quiet window tables!
