The dishes are delicious and the Georgian cuisine restaurant is quite hard to find. We were full already by the second dish, so it is worth the money. The lady who served us is lovely and made our day, she is just fit for this restaurant. Really recommend it.

Georgian food is a secret that the world should know about - something shaped by but distinct from the cultures around it. This restaurant really captures the atmosphere and taste of being in Georgia. We visited the country over a year ago and felt like we'd been transported back. I'd recommend trying the kachupuri (cheese bread), khinkali (dumplings) and Georgian salads, particularly aubergine and walnut! Try something new and you won't be disappointed!

I’m sorry but the food was really bad. My friend paid £18 for what was literally just chunks of overcooked pork, fried potatoes and a pile of raw onion. We had dinner and I would say this Georgian restaurant is the worst out of all Georgian restaurants we visited in London. To the owner/manager of the restaurant. Can you please a little bit refurbish/ renovate your venue. This looked like medieval, very old fashioned very dirty, unhygienic place, sorry. Washroom in horrific condition Food -either not available or badly done. No Georgian lemonade A bit too pricy for such place and food. People like us come to enjoy time and food rather than count moulds in washroom, admire ‘dirty ‘ walls, messy floors. Do make changes and offer people nice environment to spend time!

We came with high expectations but unfortunately the service was pretty poor. We waited a long while to be offered and served drinks but the only options were bottled Budweiser or a £40 bottle of Georgian wine - no alternatives! Luckily the wine was good. However we then waited over an hour for our first course which was ok, the second course was a little better. Value for money was not great at all and if I were paying the bill that night I wouldn’t have paid the service charge.

Turned up at 7.30pm for our booking, waited 5+ minutes like lemons before we even saw a member of staff and they didn’t have a table for us!!! Sent away for 20 odd mins. Finally seated gone 8pm. No apology in sight, crazy. Were given two expensive set menus which seemed a bit of a swindle. Had to ask for a normal menu. First sight of some food a whole hour and 15 minutes after our table was booked for — I cannot believe how much of a joke the whole thing was. We were considering leaving and we should have. Food was pretty bland, dumplings were raw. And after all that they still put a service charge on. Asked for it to be removed. You could also hear that from the other surrounding tables. Music kept being interrupted by weird adverts constantly. Felt a bit Fawlty Towers. Such a stress and disappointment on Valentine’s Day. Wouldn’t ever go back nor recommend to anyone.

Four of us met for dinner here last night (first visit) and were all really impressed. The mezze starter was very interesting (I'm personally not that keen on salad options but all four varieties of the mezze were really tasty and the accompanying cheese bread was delicious as well). We then had 2 x Qotnis Lobio Rachulad which was very tasty, a wonderfully flavoured bean stew with some pickled vegetables and bread on the side and a melt in the mouth slice of pork (belly I think) soaking in it brought a brilliant smokey flavour. The others had Tabaka (perfectly roast poussin with an amazing walnut sauce) and Mtsvadi which was also reported to be very tasty. Washed down with first a delicious bottle of "dry" red (can't recall the name specifically but it was at the bottom of the short list and really tasty) and then a bottle of dry white (as the red had run out unfortunately so no second bottle!) recommended by the waitress that was very nice as well. All in all a great meal, very interesting and delicious food and wine and a lovely setting with great service. We'll be back to try more of the menu. (Apologies for no photos we got stuck in before I managed to take any!)

After visiting this restaurant I was left with only bad emotions. To begin with, upon arrival we were the only guests, which seemed strange, but then we thought it was just lunch, maybe people would be there later, but that’s not the point. When we started ordering, half of what we wanted to order was not available, the food took a long time to prepare, but if they cook under the knife, then you can somehow forgive, but the waiter could have warned that cooking would take a long time, The waiter forgot dish from the order. Thank you that the food we received was delicious. But in the end we just got angry that we couldn’t pay the bill, that there was supposedly a problem with the terminal and we had to go look somewhere to withdraw cash. Just if you know that you have problems with the terminal, then upon arrival, warn guests that payment can only be made in cash. And on top of that the prices are above average

The food was horrific. I’m Polish and I live in Warsaw where we have A LOT of Georgian restaurant that I visit regularly. First of all, the price-quality ratio is totally outrageous. £18 for a Khachapuri that resembled low quality langosh is just outrageous even for London. Secondly, we came to try Chinkali with broth and meat only to be told there are non available (?!). I thought it’s a staple? Service was terrible, the waitress disappeared as soon as we got food (did I mention we were the only guests in the restaurant?) and the only instance that got her off the phone was me getting up to use the loo, I suppose to make sure we don’t walk out without paying the bill. She even had audacity to put “service charge” on the bill…. Not to mention that soft drinks and beer have no pricing on the menu and I only found out when paying that I was charged £7 for mediocre draft. Honestly, avoid, avoid and don’t bother. There is a lovely Indian place just 10 min walk toward Balham (Bombay Bicycle Chef) where you will be treated as a guest is supposed to and on top of that you will get some exquisite food.

Decent Georgian food for those who have never tried it but still behind some of the Georgian restaurants in London in my opinion. I thought their Khachapuri wasn’t great although they made up for it with some great Kinkalis (Georgian Dumplings). They were out of Georgian salad which surprised us as it’s literally tomatoes, cucumber, walnuts. The aubergine starters stuffed with walnut paste was excellent. Finally, I thought it was super expensive for what it was. We shared 3 starters and 1 main and paid 60£ total with service charge. Service was average, food took ages, not everything came, drinks arrived late. But seemingly if you want Georgian south of the river, this might be the only place.

The waiter was good but it took so long for the food to come, around 35 minutes even though we were the only customers. They also forget one thing we ordered and some of the dumplings were frozen in the middle! The wine was different to our taste but it’s authentic Georgian wine. Pricier than it deserves to be based purely on the food and drink, but given the area, not outrageously so. I left £35 lighter after some cheese bread, dumplings and wine, service included. Speaking of, the service was consistently good, with all staff friendly and courteous throughout. The cheese bread, whilst simple, is very moreish and it's easy to see why it's a crowd pleaser. The dumplings, checking out at approx £15 a serving (for about 6 pieces) didn't do much to impress; the meat inside was quite flavourful but the casing was unseasoned and bland. Perhaps a sauce or at least some kind of condiment should come included with this dish? As it was it was very one-dimensional. They also need to have a rethink on some of their wine choices. Prices delve well into £30 territory and beyond, and while this isn't especially steep, I was still expecting more. We tried two different ones (middle of the pack, price-wise): one was decent, the other was too sharp on the palate. Overall not a bad choice but I expect you could do a lot better elsewhere in Clapham.

This is what happens when people become greedy. Many years ago when the first branch just opened food was amazing and reasonably priced, a lot of effort was placed into everything. Now food is still good, but everything else has gone downhill because of greed. Everything is overpriced, portions are tiny and service is below standard. I can't believe I used to pay almost £10 for 3 pieces of Badrijani. Now thanks to them I leaned to make it myself. Pricing for Khachapuri is ridiculous just like with everything else. This cannot be justified by location rent. The sad thing is that Georgians are known for their hospitality and generosity and this place brings shame to this legacy and an embarrasment to most Georgians I know and love. There are many Georgian restaurants in London that are better. The management could learn from the lebanese and turkish restaurants who know how to show generosity and hospitality which makes customers return. You guys have lost a loyal customer and if you continue this way all you'll be selling is coffee...
