Costa DO Estoril in Wandsworth

Spacious, Covid compliant relatively cheap restaurant but the food isn't great. Worst spanks omelette I've eaten, if it can be called Spanish omelette. My partner had a fried fish with salad and rice, and the salad was all wet. We won't be coming back.

I got a bit tired of paying a lot of money for food at my hostel across the road. The day hefore i had a beautiful fresh egg and bacon sandwhich for £3 so i went back today for a full english. The place is quite large with traditional wooden furniture. They were showing portuguese soccer on the tv but it wasnt intrusive. I ordered a full english breakfast for £6.50 that included a large cup of tea. 2 eggs 2 rashers of bacon lots of beans and a well cooked sausage and a large tomato cooked and halved and 2 slices of buttered toast. All well cooked and very tasty. They do an estoril bteakfast that includes fillet steak for £8. The menu is extensive to suit your pocket. I reccomend it.

I turned up at the restaurant and was made to wait over 20 minutes before anyone bothered to ask me about what I wanted to order. The person was pleasant enough, but the food took too long to arrive and I do not like waiting 40 minutes for food that in my case tasted a bit bland. The pricing was not extortionate, but it did not justify the poor quality food. Overall I would not use this establishment again for any reason and neither would my wife

Went one evening with an old friend. He loved the wine and we had sardines, calamares and chorizo. All spot on and terrific starters. Steaks to follow with chips and a tasty salad. Amazing evening

Costa de Estoril is the perfect place to come for a meal with lots of space inside and friendly staff. The food is really simple and tasty . I cant reccomend it enough.

Service was poor, being grunted at with a sour face is very off putting. The cappacinno had 2inch froth on it and tasted like it came out of a bad machine. The chips were great but the omelette was awful. there was a whole onion in it, very little cheese - very bad experience. Spoke to the waitress but she just grunted and walked off with the plate. I won't be visiting this cafe again - however the price range is great for poor food and service.

The staff here are so so friendly and the food is always excellent. The Sunday morning full english breakfast so to die for, and their steaks are also excellent. Can't fault the place!

Mid afternoon we were looking for something reasonably substantial to eat after a long journey.There was little on offer apart from several run down looking carry outs which we did not fancy. From the outside this looks a small place but it opens out to a fairly sizeable dining room.The menu was varied from snacks to meals.The fish and chips was well received. I tried the biscuit cake made from rich tea biscuits and a liqueur, very interesting.They has some lovely cakes on display. A lot of locals seem to use this restaurant.All clean and tidy. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Always enjoy the food here. Great home cooked food. I always recognise many locals when I am there. Also sell various cakes and the Portuguese custard tarts.

We have been coming to this place for their excellent coffee for 14 years. Recently the coffee took a turn downhill not so sure if it was a new machine or a new member of staff making it but it appears to be back on form. Choice of black or white simple as that with a darn good coffee bean. Portguese family run cafe with a broad menu, some fine tarts, pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. Avoid the cakes that look remarkably like the cheap oversugared stuff you get in the chain coffee shops (muffins/croissants and cookies) , they have some wonderful Portguese cakes like the traditional custard tarts, flans and frangipane based fruit tarts. Their main meals are huge go hungry, they have a meal of the day which is always worth a shot. They have a licence and all their prices are extremely reasonable. It does get packed at lunchtimes, the tv is always on (Portuguese channel or footie), there is nothing fancy about this place. Good homecooked food. No pretensions. Few outside tables on a busy main road.

Loved the sandwiches here and the staff were very nice. It offers a takeaway service as well, which is handy. Would recommend if you're in the Battersea area.

The staff is very polite and friendly the sea food is very good and it is not expensive. I personally recommend the grilled octopus. The places is always crowd with local people who always return.

I loved the ciabatta, very tasty, and the staff were friendly. Relaxed atmosphere, would definitely come back!

We have been using this restaurant as we are working very close on a large project and over the initial first few days the staff had already remembered what drinks we had and how many sugars. Although the food is simple, it comes out quick and is always tasty. Nothing is too much trouble when we like to mix up the menu a bit.

I go there often becouse is fast and fresh food. nothing fancy, simply a good meal for a reasonable price.

Basic but nice food with plenty of options. Price is ok for the area and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Will be back

I have visited this restaurant numerous times, mainly because it's convenient and near to my home , you can visit everyday, purchase the SAME meal/sandwich all the time and be charged a different price all the time just luck of the draw which member of...

The breakfasts at this place are actually very good, particularly the eggs Benedict. They do nice lamb chops chips and veg and the specials are always worth having a look at. Good café food, more upmarket than a greasy spoon at very reasonable prices. I go regularly for breakfast at the weekend.

I have lunch there almost everyday as my workplace is just around the corner. Food is so delicious and the young women working behind the bar are very friendly and funny!

The food here is amazing, you can tell its freshly made and outstanding.Customer service is good, apart from one lady who always looks grumpy maybe the owners wife.I would recommend this place to any one

We went there thanks to the recommendation of a Portuguese friend and we really enjoyed it, The feeling is like a relaxed cafe, where you can enjoy you food and talk with you friends without being interrupted et all the time. Food was really good and in very good portions. Not expensive at all. Ill be back for sure

You can get a huge, tasty, harty breakfast here for about £7 - including a decent sized sirloin steak in addition the usual English breakfast. Friendly and efficient service although sometimes you can be a bit surprised when you order lands differently to your expectations (we once asked for taost with our breakfast but they brought it out as a starter for example). Highly recommended.

This is a local restaurant that we now go to almost every week. Prices are great, portions are big - the food is basic but tasty as if your mamma made it. Their Espetada is to die for and the portioning is so large that two of us share it. The family staff are very accomodating. Its just a really relaxed place where I know I am going to leave with a smile! Thank you. .

Been visiting here for breakfast lunch and dinner for 6 years it's amazing great food friendly and very clean. All menu's are great especially the Estoril breakfast

Wether on my own or with my young children, this is a great place to enjoy a good meal: fresh food, varied and always very tasty, truly good wines and a fast and friendly service. The patron and patronne there take their duties very seriously indeed and everyone from front café to kitchen makes an effort to keep their customers happy (a lot of them, as mentioned in another review, locals). They have specials (all Portuguese) everyday, dishes that I sometimes see and try for the very first time and I've never been disappointed. The kind of place that contributes to the quality of life of the neighbourhood.

Not far from clapham Junction nor Vauxhall opposite Crown pub in Lavender Hill lies Costa do Estoril. Open for breakfast and closing after dinner the menu has a variety of dishes from sandwiches to tapas on to steak and fish dishes all reasonably prices. With Sagres on tap and Superbock by the bottle as well as selection of wines all tastes are catered for. Frequented by young and old as well as families, couples and singles, everyone is made welcome and staff attentive. Definitely worth a visit. Chelsea TV is also on screen if you wish to take in a match!

Have driven past this restaurant for years and finally popped in for Saturday lunch. Very chilled and relaxed - a local Portuguese restaurant . Pego sandwich with a small Sagres followed by a nice black coffee and custard cake - perfect ! Plus very good family serviceNeed to go back for the Peri Peri chicken now.

I've visited this restaurant a few times and I must say you just cant get enough! The food is very delicious and the atmosphere is super. This is a good place to go out with your family for a chilled-out dinner or even to grab a quick sandwich for lunch! I recommend this restaurant for every and anyone - its also very close to a bus stop, so transport isn't a problem!!

happened by this place and went back a couple of times during wimbledon where I watched a few sets while enjoying the coffee and a chicken peri peri sandwich. What struck me about the place is how evocative it was of Spanish cafes I'd visited in my youth (I've no memories of Portugal to compare!!), big coffee machine, beers on tap and a selection of food (no cloud of smoke though!)... it's also clear that a large proportion of the crowd are regulars and are acknowledged by the staff as such.Service; friendly, attentive but relaxed.Food/Coffee; very good, generous sandwich which i usually can't finish.Atmosphere; there is a certain vibe I cant precisely put my finger on, reminds me of being on holiday. Don't go here if you're in a rush but if you're looking to chillax this could be a really good spot for you. We discovered this restaurant a couple of years ago one day that we were too lazy to cook for ourselves. This is exactly what it did! It's nothing fancy but, it's simple and good!We usually have the beef a estoril if we are not visiting for breakfast (which is of very good value!!)Also, I could only recommend that every meal should end up with a pasteis de nata (as long as you don't eat mine!!)

This is a small Portuguese family run restuarant with a great variety of food in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.There were special dishes recommended along with many other Portuguese and English food.The staff are so friendly and helpful.They are open from early morning until late at night.
