Tea room and cafe on the ground floor , antiques upstairs. Popped in for lunch as we were walking past and it looked interesting. Eclectic decor. Lovely friendly staff. Large portions and reasonable prices. If we lived here it’s certainly somewhere we would go again. They do seem to have regulars as a lot of people were welcomed by name. Pictures of dads army actors on the walls when, old town Bridlington was used as walmington on sea. In the film

We have started to visit this wonderful gem weekly as love it so much. The staff are super friendly and efficient. There's always a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is exceptional and good value for money. It's open 7 days a week and until 4pm, which us rare for Bridlington. They have a hot drink loyalty scheme and cakes that are out of this world! The menu is varied and theg have daily specials too. Whether you are having a hot meal, soup and a sandwich or a salad, all are equally fresh and full of flavour. Absolutely adore the place a recommend it to all of our own guests. There's also the added bonus of floors full or antiques to peruse when you are done!!

We took a walk up to the Old Town & had a lovely lunch at the Georgian Rooms, with a browse through the antiques & collectibles afterwards. Very welcoming staff, very dog friendly (which doggie doesn’t love a sausage?!). Good sized portions (we had quiche and the toasted sandwiches, all very tasty), and a huge selection of desserts & cakes afterwards, with lashings of tea. We will definitely go again

A charming little cafe with a large antiques centre attached, qwerky and obviously popular with locals and visitors alike . In Bridlington old town this is an interesting shop , full of collectibles and antiques, on several floors and stretching into a garden . The cafe is at the front and serves cakes and snack type meals , very nice and friendly staff . We would recommend.

We've eaten at the Georgian Rooms a few times now, and the most recent time was on Easter Sunday. Our meals and desserts were delicious, and the staff were friendly. It would be nice if there was a sliced apple on the ploughman's lunch, however it was lovely. The menu would be even better if there were chips offered on the menu. The garden looks beautiful in the summer, and the antique shop upstairs is well worth a visit.

We visited this tea room many times when camping at Rudston, but this was the first time we had visited for about 7 years. It is pretty much the same. We had lovely cakes, the coffee was good and the tea came in a teapot, although it was teabag tea, not loose leaf. It retains its charm and is clearly popular as they turned away a number of people while we were there. It would be wise to book. Unfortunately the toilets are upstairs, so not ideal for disabled customers.

When we initially went in there were no tables available so we went upstairs to look around the two antiques floors (which are fantastic). When we came back down it was still very busy but a table had come available for us. The food, service and vale for money was second to none. This truly was a cafe experience as it should be! I’ve included photos; a pot of tea includes a jug of hot water (appreciated) and one of milk. As it should be! There were also handmade Christmas table decorations and beautiful embroidery on the tablecloths. If you’re going to Bridlington, please visit the Old Town (follow the brown signs). This is our 3rd visit here for afternoon tea. The first time was not very good when we were served by a member of staff who was grumpy shall we say. The second time we came it was wonderful and we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. This time it was mediocre. The sandwiches were really nice and the cakes. But again we asked for coffee for 2 and tea for 2 people. The tea couple got a pot of tea and hot water. The 2 coffee drinkers were given a cup of black coffee each and when asked for another cup each , was charged extra for it. And when asked for milk to go with it , were told hadn’t we got enough milk with the tea , and came over to check before begrudgingly supplying some more. We were made to feel uncomfortable , not special which when going out for afternoon tea is usually a special occasion. This was a special treat for us by some good friends, but I have a feeling they will try Georgian rooms again . We missed the cup of homemade soup this time as well .

Very cold, we were sat next to lukewarm radiator on a cold day. The table tops are glass covered so cold to rest your arms on. Ordered meat pie and veg and a prawn in Marie sauce jacket potato. Coffee hot but very chicory tasting. Friend said their meal nothing to write home about, my jacket potato was small, prawns were tiny and bearly coated in any sauce. Came with side salad which consisted of lettuce, one cherry tomato cut in half, 1 slice of cucumber cut in half! We won't be eating here again. Lots of customers having the afternoon tea, they are obviously popular. Shop very interesting we usually buy something. Well worth a look round.

When you approach the tea room, the exterior is very inviting and the same goes for the inside. There is an antiques shop upstairs and a delightful garden out the back to sit in. However the food sadly lets the whole place down. The notices about cakes made me feel excited then I noticed the selection was limited and some cake in the large stand were covered in cling film including the afternoon teas. My daughter had chocolate cake which was dry and could have done with cream on the side. She also had a chocolate milk shake which came in a pint glass with strongbow written down the side and was nothing special at all. My husband and I had cream teas at £5.95 which I think were over priced. I understand we are human and forget things like the tea which I went and asked for. The grand finally were the plain scones. Oh my they were as dry as can be! Ive bought better from Greggs to be honest and wished I had gone there instead of paying £18 and leaving disappointed. Never again.

A lovely warm genuine welcome can be found in the Georgian Rooms. It is in a lovely location in Bridlington Old Town. The tea room has a lovely atmosphere with soft lighting. Dotted around the tea rooms are vintage goodies available for purchase. I did like the fact that there was no distraction from background music which is my pet hate. You can sit in peace and quiet and enjoy something from the lovely menu. The staff are attentive and friendly which makes it a joy to visit. Above the tea room is an antique shop on two floors. It was very gloomy and I wondered if there was another light which should be on, but couldn't see a light switch. The waste basket was full of paper hand towels, so obviously had not been emptied. Went downstairs, sat at a table by the counter and looked at the menu. Could not see any breakfast items, found a separate breakfast menu on another table. Decided what I would like and waited to order. and waited. Several staff members went in and out of the kitchen. Someone was preparing food behind the counter. I did not think that this was for other customers, as there were only 2 other people in, who appeared to have their order. Having waited long enough I put my coat on and left. Went to another coffee shop in the town which was warm, welcoming, with efficient service and packed with customers!

Booked the Autumnal Afternoon Tea here but not too sure what to expect, what a lovely surprise! We arrived slightly early but was greeted with a lovely smile and a cheery 'your tables ready for you'. Started with very tasty homemade tomato, orange and cranberry soup, onto a selection of sandwiches...hummus on brioche with rocket, egg on granary bread and tuna mayo on white...all really tasty. We then went on to the scones, cream and jam, gorgeous! We ate the chocolate square but couldn't manage the cake! All washed down with a huge pot of tea.

Not visited Bridlington for a few years, so we headed for our favourite tearooms and got the shock of our lives, unfriendly staff, dirty floors and then the food no lovety home made cakes no cheesecake or Victoria sponge just something that resembles tray baked mass produced junk. We did not stay and left at haste such a shame.......

Staff friendly & the Lattes & cheese scones we had were good. What a surprise when we ventured upstairs to the Antique centre - lots of vintage & collectibles & all reasonably priced. Some nice jewellery too. Something to suit all price ranges. My wife was pleased with a pretty quartz bracelet she bought for a gift & at only £5 it seemed a bargain. There is access up the side if steps are not manageable, to a walled garden & outside tables & chairs.

Having experienced the most friendly people on our first visit to East Yorkshire, we were extremely disappointed with the decidely unfriendly and disinterested attitude of the staff in this establishment.

It looks so promising on the website but we felt the place was a shambles. Our Earl Grey tea was o.k. but I wanted a piece of cake to go with it. However, all the cakes looked very unappetising, even the tray bakes were un-appealing. I went to the counter to choose a scone instead and I thought they were "dummy" scones. They were so small and a strange colour which made me think they were plastic/dummy scones. We asked for extra milk for our tea but it never arrived. Not surprised by this as the staff were unfriendly & curt as if they couldn't be bothered. It was all rather grubby in there too, with the aproach to the garden thick with pigeon poo, yuk !

We were walking around the old town and just fancied tea and scones so called in here. Fabulous place with antiques on 3 floors so great for a scout about too. The scones and jam were delicious and I love a proper cup of tea in a teacup. A few people were having afternoon tea now that looked tempting. Could have stayed longer looking around so that calls for another visit.

Nice drinks and food, love the shabby vintage decor. My kind of place. Really want to return for afternoon tea. Above the tea room it's 3 floors of trinkets and vintage goods, along with a large garden with sheds full of things to buy. Managed to find a vintage old country roses teapot I had been after so able to complete my tea set while drinking mad hatters tea. My fave place in brid I have spent hours just browsing here

First visit to The Georgian Rooms over the Bank Holiday weekend. The Tea Rooms were welcoming and the staff were friendly. Me and my family had drinks and cakes only which were all very tasty and reasonably priced. We then went upstairs to the Antique Centre which I did not find very exciting or interesting. There was some nice items but, in my opinion, there was nothing desirable and everything was overpriced. The outside area was very nice but again the 4 or 5 outside sheds were full of undesirable objects (a lot of rubbish!) which I did not want to purchase. I will not be rushing back.

First appearances are not good. The exterior is in need of some TLC! That said, inside is much better. The lady who served us was friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea consisted of three types of (very fresh) sandwiches, Cream cheese and cucumber, egg mayo and cress, plain ham. There was a fresh homemade scone each with jam and fresh cream (very nice), 2 cupcakes, 2 pieces of chocolate tiffin (yummy) and two Danish pastries. All of the food was fresh and tasty apart from the Danish pastries which were stale and like cardboard. Tea was plentiful and we were offered more hot water and milk. It would have been nice to have been asked what sort of sandwiches we would like and what bread we would like them on, but they were definitely freshly made. The overall experience was very good and I would recommend it, but maybe don't bother with the danish! Thank you for a nice afternoon tea.

Popped into the tea rooms twice recently. It’s a bit chilly inside and could do with some more heating. Food has been good on both occasions, but staff could do with being a little more friendly and welcoming. Interesting antiques to browse around on upper floors.

Visited to have a look at the Antiques which are located on the floor above the tearoom. Lots to see over a couple of floors and even a large garden with several sheds to look around.
