Always good on a match day. Get served pretty quickly although they do limit numbers going in a couple of hours before the match

Not great. Staff were friendly enough. Ordered food on the app, after an hour of waiting (it wasn’t busy) went and asked where the food was and told there was an hour wait (it should really say this on the app when you order). Food arrived shortly after. Had ordered 7 small plates, all were different shades of brown ranging up to burnt. Was going to a concert, so after waiting an hour had to eat and run, left quite a bit!

What a disappointment. If you read the reviews you could believe this was a nice place to eat. I arrived just before 7pm on a Friday night, it wasn't especially busy. When I arrived at the bar I was told I couldn't order food without a table number? After I pointed out an empty table, the staff eventually working out what number it was, I placed my order of steak with onion rings and peas. Fries and a side salad. Simple enough you might think? I sat at my assigned table and promptly sat back. The table was sticky and wet in places with spilled drink. I sat and waited... and waited.... and waited..... Eventually after 45 minutes I got up and asked the bar staff to chase my meal (presumably the cow was still running around in the field?) What I assume was the manager later appologised for the delay and told me my meal would be with me in a few minutes. High with anticipation, I watched as they crossed the room with my food. As I started to cut into the steak the manager came back asking "Is everything okay?" He seemed a little deflated as I replied, "I don't know. I haven't had chance to try it yet" As I popped the first piece of steak in my mouth, I almost spat it out. Picking it up the underside was burnt, and was tough as an old boot sole. The peas were uncooked, as was the tomato, just rubbed in the carbon residue left in the pan from the steak. The fries and onion rings were okay, and the only condiments for my side salad were mayo, tomato ketchup or brown sauce? I've been sitting here now writing this review with an almost complete steak cut up and sat on my finished plate. It has taken another 35 minutes for them to notice, despite sitting on the main toroughfair from the kitchen. The manager has paused a couple of times as he passes me, unsure if to approach me. I'm not leaving until he does though. When he finally went to clear my plate and I addressed my concerns he asked if I wanted anything else??? Why would I possibly want more? So he walked away!! Not what I would call a friendly atmosphere.

Good pub for home football fans in Wolverhampton. I like brewdog beer. The bar person tried to tell me hazy Jane was the same as punk ipa and seemed confused that I didn't want the wrong pint. She insisted on serving it anyway. Food was okay.

Visited before the Wolves game with my mate on Saturday morning. Great atmosphere, bar staff friendly and attentive. Had the big breakfast. If you haven't reserved a table, get there early, as many of them reserved. Had the big breakfast. Been going to see the Wolves for years and both me and my mate both said that it was the best breakfast we've had in all the games we've been to. Hats off to the chef! Was a pleasure frequenting this pub. Will definitely be going back. Already looking forward to my next breakfast there! Cheers.

Very reasonably priced drinks, great atmosphere. Very friendly bar staff and very welcoming would 100% recommend.

We visited on a Friday lunchtime I was suprised how quite it was. We got served Quick and the staff were lovely. We ordered 3 small plates for £10.99 Southern Fried Chicken Goujons with BBQ sauce sadly they were over cooked. 6 Chicken Wings and Scampi which were nice. Good pot of tea for me and a pint for my partner which he said was good.

Massive thanks to the team. Function room booking done by Stephen who was incredibly helpful and made sure everything was taken care of. He explained all of the options and accommodated all of our requests and questions. Danni and Tia looked after my family on the evening itself. Food was great and service perfect, even sorted last minute dietary requirements. We’ll definitely book family events there again.

Usually stop off here for food and cocktails, it's spacious and the bathrooms are always well maintained. I really loved the option to get waffle fries, they were perfectly crispy! The sub I ordered was ok, the bread roll was more like a crunchy type bread which I don't usually like anyway, but the filling was tasty and the nacho portions are great.

It had been a match day with plenty of supporters in the town and maybe not enough staff to cope with the clearing of tables, otherwise a good place to come normally

Didn't go in said it opens at 10 .00 myself and family wanted a breakfast waited till 10.15 still not open so went to slug and and lettuce they were open

It was good to return here again, this time with my local social group for our Christmas dinner and, as usual, didn't disappoint, quality food, service and great company!!

Came here on my own for a pint of John Smiths asked the barmaid. She asked if I wanted anything else i said no she then demanded the money up front. I asked if I could have the beer 1st She said they always prefer to take the money 1st when its busy I looked round and said but it isn't busy She then got stroppy and said if I didn't pay 1st she wouldn't serve me So I just turned round and left I maybe old fashioned but you used to pay as you were served I could understand if I was ordering several drinks but just one?? Very ignorant in my view

Waited for One and a half hours for mediocre breakfast despite going in the day before to book for 15 people. Was offered no apologies for the terrible service 😡will not be using again

Nice, well maintained pub in the heart of Wolverhampton. Friendly staff, affordable prices, tasty foods and large variety of drinks. Large function room available with own bar access. I recommend this pub.

I'm in here now and just got served a pint from a waitress and she only used three words! "You alright" and when a asked if the change was correct... "yep". Once done she trotted off and continued talking to her colleague. Well, whoever recruits staff with this level of customer focus and service needs re-training. What the hell does this pub want to convey? Unwelcoming and would not return. I wouldn't mind, but the place is empty on a Saturday night, and I know why.. For reference, the girl is short with long dark curly hair.

The place is alright, the cod seemed over fried, but otherwise it did the job. Especially considering most other restaurants and pubs were closed at that time of night.

The Wallis is a very welcoming pub. Food is absolutely fantastic. The staff and manager is very friendly. We go every Saturday for lunch. Very good and friendly pub. The live music in the evening when we stay all day is absolutely great. Some very good bands. Very highly recommended to visit if you are in Wolverhampton. I've been to a few pub in the area and it's got to be the best we have been to in years. You just left to enjoy the atmosphere

Week in, week out the service provided by Owen and his staff is second to none! Match days are really busy and they manage to fulfil the customers needs. Food is great also, especially the small plates.

I’ve been going to this pub on every Wolves match day for the last 12 months and never had a bad visit. The pub is usually full providing a Great atmosphere, even though they are busy, I still always receive excellent service from the staff and the food makes your mouth water!

Ordered the 'Ultimate Chicken Tikka Masala' and got given a kids meal. Asked the person who served me after being ignored several times (and it was quiet) if thats how the naan bread is supposed to be and she looked at me like I was crazy and just said "yeh?" Very rude and uninterested. Staff issues comes from upper management as you can see by the response. Customers are treated as a hindrance and service is not important. The toilets have CCTV in as well. Thanks to the 'owner' for confirming the 'Ultimate' meal is 'to spec'. No reason to return.

Excellent pub with good food in the city centre. Nice selection of lagers including Morretti. Lots of choices for vegans vegan options also. Staff and friendly and provide exceptional service.

The food is always top notch and good value - I've never once had a bad experience with it. Service is friendly, fast and eager to help - the staff are great! The atmosphere is extremely welcoming - as someone with some anxiety in social situations I feel comfortable still in here. (Props especially go to Dani for being an awesome host on our group nights and for Steven for putting up with our group running later than normal AND supplying a reserved eating area for us yesterday.)

a perfect place were I'm able to see a bunch of mates. The food and drinks are perfectly priced for an evening out, as well at the atmosphere being lovly. All the staff are kind and welcoming. Glad to the george wallis there on the regular!

Our local video games tournament uses this venue and they have been really accomodating with it. Food is good and served in good time. Love this venue.

Although food was not that great, the service was very good! Professional staff and speedy service. The woman with the funky multi colour hair and coloured brows was very cheerful and bubbly, first time I came here with my mum after doing some shopping. Nice environment, very spacious and clean. After my successful participation in the Tough Guy Race 2015 and 2016 in Wolverhampton, we celebrated here in the evening. There were lots of good beers and the food was great too!

The toilets are upstairs, which is always an issue. Out of all three stalls in the Gents, all had broken locks, and only one had any toilet roll. Also the taps had no hot water.

Was here n Monday night for gg at Civic Halls, lots of people out and about to go to gig, chose this pub, looked ok, plenty seats, we decided on what to have, my niece had pie and gravy, I went for Mac n cheese, thought you can’t go wrong, food was served quite quickly, my niece said her pie was ok. My Mac n cheese I was warned the dish will be piping hot! No it wasn’t. There was a mountain of spring onions on top for a garnish? Top of the Mac n cheese was cream colour under orange, so I thought I’ll give it a stir, pop some salt on it, this was without doubt the worse Mac cheese ever! It was tepid, I had a few small forks of it then ate my nieces chips. I wasn’t going to complain everybody was out to enjoy the gig. When the lady collected the plates she asked if everything was ok, duh. One plate just about empty one plate barely touched! Sorry this is one place I won’t be back to.

Really good cheap food. Think they were slightly understaffed when we were there as we asked them to clean the table but we ended up doing it ourselves. 2 nice friendly girls behind the bar.

Came in last night fir baby shower had southern fried chicken wrap and chips when asked what drink I anted I asked for still water the lady behind the bat said I couldn't have one but I could have a coke I then said I can't drink coke I only drink water she then said again I couldn't have one I said fine then I will just have my meal. Can't drink for health reasons felt like I was being discriminated against because I can't drink. Wasn't till th end of the night my friend read the small print on the menu that said I could of had water so she went to complain showed her the menu and I got the water a bit late as was on way out . But think she needs more training meal was ok though .

Popped in on my day off. Service was top notch as was the food!!! Had the 10oz rump steak with waffle fries. It’s was really tasty and didn’t take forever to come. Will be back to visit again soon!!

Came here on cold Friday but very welcoming. Had Chicken burger with chips, drink, starters: beer battered onion rings. Decent grub and good value. Few of us had food and the 5 small plates looked good value and decent choice too. Staff were great, service excellent.

Food was unacceptable. Veg was rock hard. Beetroot Wellington had no beetroot. Service poor. Not coming again

Item I asked for was out of stock....asked for one alternative and the barman said it was sold out, his manager corrected him saying "they have it and its just the kitchen playing games" I assume that to mean they mark it out of stock if they can't be bothered to cook it ?????Gave up and went to another food place as plenty of other venues.

Shocking service, food cold and to top it off after ordering a meal for me and the mrs they then decided to give our table away with no apology then offering a table shoved in the corner. Never again please save your money. Would give a 0 if possible.

Great experience and great staff. I booked a table for a group of us to play a rpg campaign. They were extremely accommodating and put us in a place that wouldn't bother the other customers. 10/10 would recommend.

So I have been here for 2 different types of things. Firstly myself, husband and 8 year old daughter came here for food and have also been for breakfast. The breakfast was beautiful and cooked perfect. My daughter opted for fish fingers off the kids choice and enjoyed this too. All prices were reasonable. We have had baguettes from here which we’re not the best, to be honest I could of got a rated one from greggs for half the price with more filling and tastier. We then came back Saturday night with friends for drinks to start a night. We were drawn in as we could hear music from outside. They had a DJ on which must I state was a very good mixer and played a mixture of tunes and played the video to each one on the screen. Was very impressive considering we then went to a local club and the DJ could not mix to save his life. We then noticed the 241 on cocktails which apparently is on all day everyday. Bless the lad behind the bar he didn’t really have a clue how to do them so just followed what it said on the menu, and they turned out perfect. Got my friend to try a pornstar martini for the first time and she loved it. We asked for a strawberry daiquiri which we were told was out of stock (not sure which part was out of stock though) We then had the woo woo which again was lovely. I would definitely recommend here for an evening drink on a Saturday, you can also get up and have a dance.

The food is ville. And poor quality. As when id eaten here. Was sick. And had a belly ache. Overall not a bad pub to have your drink. Not reccommended for meals. 😮😡

Popped in today with my wife on the spur of the moment. Nice layout, decor a little patchy and worn but overall clean with plenty of room and light, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Prices were reasonable, the the burger once I scraped off the brown tinged sad looking lettuce was lovely and for once (unlike many places) the bacon was crisp as advertised.

Took my grandaughter for a meal today as a treat,we both had the mixed grill it was lovely,greatly improved.well done

Following a review that I posted about the bad service in this pub I received a response and spoke to the Manager who was genuinely apologetic and very friendly and seems like a very nice man

Really good breakfast, friendly staff with a nice relaxing environment. A joy to come here for our breakfasts. Food isn't expensive and a nice choice of meals throughout the day.
