What a lovely pub, restaurant and hotel. Smooth check in, great selection of beers and dinner was great, and the bed room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. A very satisfying all round stay. Thanks to all the "STAFF " at The George Hotel. 5*****.

Couldn't ask for a more friendly and helpful welcome. Excellent food, well appointed rooms and great staff. Only minor point is that there could have been someventialtion in the room (awkward I know with a listed building) and a slip mat in the bath. Otherwise perfect.

Nice hotel with nice rooms. Cute outdoor area, but not very private. Only had breakfast in morning, sausage and egg sandwich which was good. Lynn, Dave and Ben were extremely polite and helpful with anything when I was up early.

Not one to leave reviews AT ALL……. Baring our favourite barmaid who is absolutely lovely, seen in and out of work who is a GEM 💎 (her mum visits the George regularly who is equally as lovely!!) we were treated very nicely by all other staff at first, now every time we go we feel nothing but an inconvenience. It’s such a shame because we have considered the George as our local but the way we’ve been made to feel recently like we are in the way and they do not want our service or custom. We’re a young couple who has been in the Barton area for just over a year. Really sad and such a shame but thank you to our favourite barmaid for never making us feel this way and always making us feel welcome ♥️ You are truly lovely ♥️ Xxx

When you do a just eat they are very late missing order it’s very unacceptable and then when picking it up after placing order in shop you come home to find different order all together it’s unacceptable and we are not placing another order with them they have lost loyalty customers

I am very sad to write this as in the past everything has been fabulous. The last time we ordered from Sunflower (before last night) we were disappointed. The food was simply ‘not up to standard’ However, we accepted it as a ‘one off’ rather than a write off. Last weekend, at my daughter’s in Ruskington we had our usual order, special chowmein and sweet sour chicken. Fabulous. My step daughter is with us this weekend and she fancied Chinese so we put our order in, our usual and her order Well, what has happened? One bag of warm chicken bits coated in (possibly) breadcrumbs, one bag of large chicken pieces in beautifully golden batter, obviously freshly (half) cooked. Batter beautiful on the outside raw mush on the inside which made the chicken inedible. Warm, not hot, sauces in separate foil containers. One was hot chilli and one was sweet sour. Both looked identical with a sprinkle of chopped garnish floating on the top. We had to taste to distinguish. As they went cold they became a gloopy substance and the bottom of the SS sauce was grainy and burnt. The last chow mien we got was dry so a portion of SS sauce was ordered. This came minus garnish. The chow mien was ordered with vermicelli noodles. They arrived as fat and flat. The best part of our meal was the rice I popped into the microwave as husband walked in with our much anticipated, seriously disappointing food. I am sorry Sunflower, I have never wasted so much food. None of us are picky eaters but none of what we received was even ‘ok’ Embarrassing
