Great venue friendly staff and customers good food and live music on Friday and Saturdays

Came in here on a warm summer's evening and sat outside. Beer was good, food was decent and reasonably priced. The Staff were kind, attentive and friendly.

During the week it is a normal pub serving normal food. Come Friday night the music starts. Come out and party. A really friendly crowd.

Bit tight on the chips for £4. But otherwise lovely bar and staff!

Oak panelled walls and wood beams. This is what you would call a good old fashioned pub. Great beer choices and a decent, well priced menu. Good service... what's not to love? Enjoy!

Everyone in Chesham knows that Jim is a great landlord that employs fabulous staff with a great spirit. The George & Dragon is a wonderful pub to spend a night out.

First time visit! I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to The George and Dragon. With not knowing what to expect, I was recommended the Fish and Chips and it did not disappoint! With a special deal on offer of 2 Main Courses for £15, we ordered double Fish and Chips. Now this may be the cheapest F&Cs I’ve ever had but it was certainly one of the best! Service was rather slow and the atmosphere not too buzzing for a Sunday lunch but the food more than made up for it!

Good food at a good price. I ordered the steak pie and it was absolutely scrumptious. They didn't have any peas at the time but luckily the staff were friendly and gave me plenty of other options.

Great place for some good food and drinks on a budget. The quality of food exceeded the price. The pub in itself is a small local pub... Nothing fancy but not bad in any possible ways. Orders to be made at the bar for table service.

This is a one of the oldest pub In the High Street chesham Buckinghamshire. Nice and friendly atmosphere .

Visited on a Friday at opening time. Really great food and made fresh. Very reasonably priced too for all the menu. The service is superb. I really like the Tudor style decor. There is also an upstairs but I did not venture up. Nice 80s and 90s music in the background which is subtle creating a lovely atmosphere. A fair few people inside with chatted. It appears there is a lot of entertainment throughout the week in the evenings. A nice little town pub. Free WiFi with no sign up and open to connect. Shame I am not from the area and just visiting.

Standard pub with a huge outside area. Had a burger which was a little uninspiring, cheese not melted as an example. But last stop on the chess valley walk and right next to the station

Nice and friendly, food served all day, excellent service. Prices are also very reasonable, have not gone up as much as had been the case recently across pubs and restaurants. Can highly recommend.

THE BEST PUB IN CHESHAM BY FAR!

This is a small pub with a courtyard garden. A small carpark is accessible round the back of the pub, through the public carpark. It offers dinner until 8-00 in the evening. They have a Chef. Inside the pub has beams and often has live music and parties going on. DJs are welcome. A small dance floor and the pub is LGBTQ friendly. If I have missed anyone out ,I apologize everyone is welcome at the George and Dragon.Live Bands can play upstairs at The George and Dragon. It has a small Bar downstairs but it is well stocked and has a good selection of quality Beers and Spirits. The Toilets are not Disabled Access.

Really good reasonably priced food. We got 2 meals for £11. Fabulous burger with a great salad and chips and Steak and Ale pie. definitely visit again.

Nice pint, old pub, good Thai food.

The food here is nice, friendly helpful staff. We sat inside as it was a bit chilly out, with a 9 year old (we checked it was ok.) There was some fruity language from some of the clients at the bar. I totally expect that in a pub, so next time I'll either choose to go outside or elsewhere. It was very quiet on the Saturday lunch time, so we heard it all 🤣. Not a problem, just advising what our experience was.

We stopped in this pub on a trip to Chesham Market because we fancied a bowl of soup and crusty bread. We were pleased when we were told the soup of the day was Spicy Parsnip. Lovely. Underwhelming ! We were brought a very small bowl (our 6 year old grandson would have polished it off in seconds), just about hot and very tasty, but not at all spicy. The bread was one slice of supermarket white sliced with one pat of butter, but certainly not crusty baguette as described on the menu. The response when we told the staff that the bowl of soup was inadequate was 'we have a new chef' as if that was a good enough reason. Someone needs to take care of the Quality Control here. I'm usually an advocate of praising and complaining appropriately but on this occasion, following the indifferent food and equally indifferent response, we just left very disappointed. I doubt we will go back. For a small place Chesham has a few options for food and I think The George needs to think about that. I didn't take photos - wasn't worth it.

Lovely little pub that was decent food. It also has a lovely night scene as they organise different events during the evening or have a DJ. The last I went to was a karaoke night and it was good but a bit limited on the songs you could request but that would be my only criticism. Wroth a visit :)

Very nice staff, clean bathrooms and loads of outside seating space in the garden. Great place to relax after a hike. I only had a ginger beer (which was very good), but my friends said the food was good for the price and they enjoyed their drinks too. Thank you for having us 😊

The pub is very cosy and nice and the stuff is friendly. The beer I had was not so great, I had the impression it was watered.

Generous and affordable portion of chips that comes with a burger. Kids meal of sausage and mash was also good. Place looks nice and cosy. Would be great if kids could get a bit more healthy drink option than fruit shoot. Overall a good experience.

We popped here for Saturday lunch the burger and a drink offer was superb value, a pint or wine + a decent burger, with chips, onion rings and salad garnish for just £7! Well kept HPA and friendly efficient service.

Only popped in after a walk from Amersham. Pint of HPA was well kept, my wife had a white wine. Not very busy. Staff were friendly. Had a snack of toasted cheese and onion sandwich that came with a few chips and salad garnish. Hot and fresh only £3.25. Toilets were clean (both) staff and customers adhered to government guidelines regarding face coverings and space, also plenty of hand sanitizer available. Fine for quick drink and snack.

Marquee outside allowed us to sit and have a drink, staff really friendly. Have already been back!

The lady who is on tonight is really lovely. What a great place to be and have some reasonably priced food with some friends. Free music on Saturday's so put what you like on in the June box. Friendly place good atmosphere. Recommend a try

Looks charming from the outside, and I'm sure it's perfectly fine, but on the day we visited, the smell of stale beer and the bathrooms was a bit strong.
