Excellent location for Chester city centre, but tired with the deco and beds not to comfy but ok for a couple of nights, all in all a good stay, would definitely recommend.

Stayed here last weekend. Great location and well equipped for an overnight stay. Only problem was that it was extremely hot and only a few of the windows opened over the 3 storeys. Showers were freezing cold Saturday evening, but actually didn't mind having a cold shower given that it was 30+ degrees outside! (And inside) 😂

Very sweet place if you're looking for somewhere at the quieter part of town. Everything you need for a quick lunch stop.

Held a birthday party here and the food was brilliant + having a restaurant to yourself is an extremely nice experience. Will certainly be back.

Excellent location and the food at the downstairs restaurant was superb. My only issues were the lack of ventilation (very few of the windows can be opened so got a bit ripe) and the lack of toilets. Seriously, who has a bathroom with three showers but only one toilet for a place that sleeps FIFTEEN? That was not pleasant after three days.

We took friends from Australia as we wanted to give them a great dining experience. We were disappointed. The nibbles were fine, but the mains could have been better and hotter. The staff were good, but the air con was faulty and we had a pool of water behind our table, so we were eventually moved. I'm not sure what's happened to Chef's Table - before it moved it was simply the best experience anywhere in Chester, but now I feel it's lost everything it worked so hard to build and I certainly wouldn't recommend.

Venue is a nice small cozy spot in a back alley with chilled music. Sadly we ordered food and it arrived cold. We sent it back and it came back slightly warmer. Offered no apology just a shrug so that was a shame and ruined the experience.

My friend recommended this hidden gem, and it definitely lived up to the hype! We had a lovely lunch. The atmosphere was charming, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. I'm already planning a return visit.

This place is phenomenal. Genuinely. I’ve been brought up in chippies by the coast in Ireland and moved over this way for work. I’ve not tried a chicken burger (freshly battered and fresh salad in a bakery bun) like this outside of a burger bar. It’s absolutely insane. The chips and fish are genuine top quality. Incredible food. Really reasonable prices. I’ll be back for sure 10/10. A few years later. Back again. Same order. 10/10. Chicken went into the batter fresh and the the chips were almost gold white and crisp coming out. Honestly the best fish and chips in the area
