Best fish and chips in Northwich. Must try the Cajun fish! Pete is great but poor guy needs a holiday, stressed to his elbows every time we visit due to lack of staff and busy nights!

Read all the excellent reviews and decided to try it as our usual chippy is currently closed due to fire. It was alright. Chips were fine, nothing monumental. The fish was not so good. Mine was very dry and the thin batter was cracking off in chunks. My husband's was really thickly battered and really lumpy. Overall. Sorry. But I would not go back. Maybe this was a bad night or maybe I have higher standards than the previous reviewers. Thank you to the staff for being polite and friendly.

Great chippy and great food, everything is cooked fresh, I love Pete's Cajun cod and chips, with spicy curry sauce! Highly recommended. You cant go wrong. Pete is a great guy and a credit to the community.

Had the best steak pudding, they must be homemade,full of pieces of steak 😋 and excellent chips and gravy to go with it.I'll be having that again!

Excellent, you'll be asked on the way in if you'd like some Fish, it'll be cooked up fresh for you. I'd recommend the cajun fish Pete does, its not spicy, but adds a nice something extra to the batter. Bring Cash, there's no chip n pin here.

Excellent chippy - easily the best in the area. Cajun cod is a revelation - especially with curry sauce and spice chips. Fish is always cooked fresh. You can park around the back too.

There only two good English chippy s in norhwitch one is lucky Pete's l known Pete since my school days is art was ok not has good has me ! but is food just fantastic all of it chip/gravy fish peas pies his currys ect ect the lot just superb! highly recommended!!!

I have to say that as a fish'n chips fanatical customer/consumer of over 60+ years experience I judge "Lucky Pete's" in Withington to be among the very best. My favourite is Pete's "Cajun Cod". This is cod with batter that is made including cajun spice. Fabulous!!!

This place is phenomenal. Genuinely. I’ve been brought up in chippies by the coast in Ireland and moved over this way for work. I’ve not tried a chicken burger (freshly battered and fresh salad in a bakery bun) like this outside of a burger bar. It’s absolutely insane. The chips and fish are genuine top quality. Incredible food. Really reasonable prices. I’ll be back for sure 10/10.

We had been fortnightly customers of another fish and chip shop near Hartford for several years but felt that its standards had dropped very much over our last few visits. So I looked up the reviews for chippies in the Northwich area and saw that Lucky Pete's had superb reviews. We went there last night and I can only say they served the best fish and chips that we've had for years. And they gave us batter scraps too - always the best part of the meal! My husband and I come from Spalding in Lincolnshire, home of the best chippies in the country, and all we can say is that Lucky Pete ranks with them. We will be back next Friday night!

This is the BEST chippy in Northwich by far, great chips and excellent steak batch with onion gravy and the menu is bigger than most big chippys, it's only a small place but honestly the food is very good,

Decided to try here whilst in the area seeing as it seemed so highly rated. Chips were anaemic and bland and battered sausage wasn't very nice either with a layer of grease between the sausage and batter. Had I seen the hygiene rating beforehand I would have found somewhere else as within 24 hours I was being violently ill. It doesn't take miss Marple to put two and two together. Definitely avoid this place.

Ive just been served up the finest piece of cod I've had in a long time and that's after going a Harry Ramsdens a few weeks back! Cajun cod fell apart while I was cutting into it proper chippy this and the staff are top notch too can't go wrong with a Pete's Chippy

Saw reviews and decided to see how good it is. Well, it's all true - the fish and chips are freshly cooked, portions are BIG and the taste is all you could ask for! Friendly atmosphere and service was quick (Wednesday about 6:30). I was surprised that it was cash only - I've got used to paying by card for everything so had no cash. Not a big problem as there are ATMs within 30yds. It turns out that it costs 50p per payment and that's a big chunk out of the low prices charged. So, it's cash only - no big issue! As someone once said "I'll be back"!

One of the best fish and chip shops I've ever come across. Last Friday 02.04.21, the place was so busy I queued for almost 30 minutes but believe me it was so worth it. His staff are so hard working trying to serve as fast as he can fry. They serve a variety of batters so something to suite everyone. Don't just take my word for it, try it

What an amazing fish'n chippy. Do you just want the best prepared and tastiest fish'n chips for miles around? Then this is the place for you. No question about it. BUT, are you interested in incredibly novel and different dishes? Then try Lucky Peter's curried beef, or cajun chicken. You can have cajun battered fish too. Believe me, Lucky Peter's Chippy is NOT just another "chippy". It is splendidly different.

Fish is the best you can get in the wider local area. Chips tonight were very undercooked which is a shame. Understand the pressure to provide quick service at very busy times but properly cooked chips are just as important as the fish.

Bought fish chips and peas from Lucky Pete's tonight, it was delicious! There was plenty of fish under the crispy batter, the chips were cooked to perfection, the peas were spot on. There's a good selection of food on the menu and it's all reasonably priced. Had a laugh with the counter staff too, what a brilliant chippy!

Stellar service and food. First time visit after many years passing by on our way home from dance lessons. Haddock and Cod were the best I've ever eaten...meaty and very light batter. Fabulous. Chips were filled with flavor and not at all greasy/oily. Peas were out of this world! Peas, you say? Out of this world? Yep. Terrific. We'll make this a permanent stop each week as the end to a perfect evening.

Was here with my 6 year old girl who was complaining how hungry she was whilst we waited (all fish etc is cooked fresh to order, so make sure you ask as soon as you go in) and how good the chips smelled and the lady put some chips in a tray and let her have a sample she was so happy. Just lovely.

Brilliant friendly staff, Great range of products and offers fish can be fried to your liking with various batter options. Also does Donner kebabs, curry’s and some Chinese dishes. Premises are very clean and has ample parking.

Pete is absolutely fantastic and the food is always to notch chippy food. Absolutely love the Cajun fish... Honestly can't eat a chippy fish and chips from anywhere else now. Prices are very reasonable. I go at lunch time, being close to work. Always look forward to going again.
