Completely INAMOquate. We got the unlimited sushi menu from virgin experience, and honestly as soon as we walked in we were dissapointed with the atmosphere, Inamo definitely fell off. The walls were dirty, the floors were dirty everything looked old and unkept, we kept hope and sat down at a booth, which was ridiculously cold. All the tables in the row wore coats and complained to the staff but they said the cold was from the kitchen so nothing could be done. It felt like we were eating outside. 2 beers cost us £18!! A small cup of tea (no teapot) for £5 and we got extra sushi for £3 (not everything on the unlimited menu is unlimited). We were then charged £40 for all those items as service charge was £10 ?? And then they charge you £3 just for using the table (aka just for being able to use the menu and the games) Which half the time wasn't working, we ordered all the food ourselves and when we complained to the waiter they gave me a corporate response and said they'd "pass on" our message. Didn't sound apologetic or genuine at all. The sushi was the biggest dissapointment. My boyfriend and I genuinely laughed and had fun solely based on how ridiculous it was, we couldnt stop laughing at comparing prices from the sushi to the real menu. I'd genuinely take someone there as a joke. £23 for a dragon roll which frankly is 10x better at you me sushi was hilarious, genuinely equivilent to gas station sushi. I can't believe we spent £100 here 🤣🤣 Walked out of the restaurant and felt so utterly scammed out of our money, and we weren't even outraged because it was just such a joke. A true mcdonalds of sushi as someone said in a previous review... plastic plates were also hilarious

I visited Inamo with my two siblings, hoping for a great meal to start our New Year's Eve celebrations. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an incredibly disappointing experience. We were seated and placed our order, but things quickly went wrong. Food started arriving within two minutes-before our drinks, which took 15 minutes to come (1 cocktail and 2 mocktails). The rushed food service felt chaotic, and most of the dishes were lukewarm. We waited over an hour for four items (miso soup, rice, vegetarian rolls, and chicken rolls). After finally asking about them, they were served immediately, which made it clear they had been ready but forgotten. To make matters worse, the vegetarian rolls were served on the same plate as the chicken rolls with one soy sauce to share-completely unacceptable. My miso soup never arrived, and when I asked the waitress to remove it from the bill, she refused. I paid £135 for what was hands down the worst meal I've had in years. I didn't ask to remove the service charge because I don't believe all staff should be punished, but I was so sad and disappointed that I brought my siblings to such a disastrous meal. It ruined the mood for New Year's Eve, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Avoid Inamo if you value your time, money, and dining experience.

Disappointed to say the least. This is not the place to go to eat authentic pan-Asian food. We ate here as part of a deal to attend the comedy club (this was highly enjoyable-best part of our evening) immediately after our meal. Whilst the interactive ordering table was a nice touch, the food was poor. Every chicken dish consisted of battered chicken reminiscent of a chicken nugget rather than the cornfloured chicken or chicken breast you may find in a Chinese restaurant. The beef gyoza was poor and the beef brisket korokke was resembled baby food with no sign of brisket at all. The most disappointing and difficult part to digest, even more than the food, was a charge that was placed on top of the service charge. Moreover, the service charge did not reflect the additional items we ordered but also was added to our buy a gift voucher. This therefore felt like a double service charge. A table to my left refused to pay the service charge and I should have done the same. Poor food, poor morals, poor experience.

Really disappointing. Everyone queueing outside was there via a gift voucher from a friend; it felt very much like we were all on a conveyor belt. What felt particularly cheeky was that we somehow paid another £20 on top of our friend's gift — drinks (even soft) are extortionate: bottled water and a can of coke are almost £5 each. Not only that, but you're charged £2.50 each to use the screens that act as very slow menus that froze and were fairly unresponsive. When we were sat at our table, we asked what we could order since we had a voucher, and the server told us that another server would explain. We ended up figuring it out because no one ever came. We called someone over eventually to ensure we were doing the right thing — they were more focused on being surprised that no one /else/ had explained, rather than explaining... We asked about the comedy night since that was part of our voucher experience. Not one of the three servers we asked knew anything about it, only that it existed in the same building. But they were easily able to explain the many packages we could purchase to have food and drink whilst listening to the comedy... and reminded us again that we could buy extra drinks for more money anytime. The food was fine at best. We would've been miffed if we'd paid for it all, and felt kind of uneasy that our friend had paid as much as they did for our voucher. One plate of chicken arrived within 2 mins of ordering — again enforcing a very conveyor-belt experience. It was really dry, but at least we got two whole pieces each... The pork belly had more pieces, about the size of a fingernail, and all felt like chewy cut-offs from the fat. We nearly had wrong dishes four times and when we said they weren't ours, the server looked at us, frowning, and asked if we were sure, then left. Our final dish got lost and we asked about it twice before it arrived, and maybe we shouldn't have; it really did taste like stale Tesco sushi. It was supposed to be tempura rolls, but whatever they were, it wasn't that. Tl;dr: most disappointing restaurant we've been to in some years. Wouldn't recommend.

Me and my boyfriend came here to celebrate our anniversary hoping for a nice dinner and experience. Unfortunately this place did not meet our expectations, food was okay and took really to come. The interactive table didn’t work properly for us and had problems sending away our order. Furthermore, we felt completely ignored by staff, no one came to check on us to see if we liked our food either. Servers checked on all the tables around us and ignored us for some reason causing an unpleasant experience, it was also very difficult to get staff’s attention for help. When we tried to, servers looked our way and would walk off. We politely asked a waiter to check on our order which we made 40minutes ago and he never came back to explain why nothing has came. A waitress was also very quick to give us the bill while we were eating even though we didn’t ask for it. I noticed they did not do this to anyone else that was still eating. The only time someone came to us was when they were asking about last orders or handing us the bill. This is the worst service I’ve ever had! I do not recommend this place!

The fact i was told the technology charge was a mandatory government charge as well was obviously from the management to explain away this stealth charge but is a complete lie. I would not recommend this restaurant, we went as a family with two children. The interactive table doesn’t have a good selection of games nor work well when plates / drinks are placed on top. Food was very basic, do not waste your money on unlimited food and drinks. Not a wide variety of foods available, food was slow and burnt small portions for overpriced food. £18 for burnt sweet and sour chicken which had only 4 pieces of chicken in the small bowl burnt veg filled the rest of the bowl. Had to cancel almost half of our order due to waiting 90mins with food still not made, children were starving and we had to get food as soon as we left the restaurant. Toilets were filthy and the toilet seats were broken and the wrong size for the toilet resulting in an uncomfortable experience. Staff are amazing people and do their best they can with limited resources.

Disgusting. We had a unlimited sushi voucher. There are only 10 dishes to choose from in the menu and 1 is sushi. Everything else you pay for. 1 salmon fish available and it wasn’t fresh. No fish available just random chicken and other dishes. Everything we ordered was disgusting and seemed like a mc donald with people shouting everywhere. We couldn’t wait to leave. (Even with voucher you pay service charge and technical fee to order from digital menu which we weren’t told)

Our visit to Inamo Covent Garden was very disappointing. At the reception right at the beginning we were greeted with a rather semi-friendly greeting, as well as poor information about what the restaurant had to offer. At first glance, the rooms were very run down and the cleanliness left something to be desired. The overall atmosphere was very cool, including the room temperature. Sitting at our table was almost only possible with a thick jacket. After a short introduction to the electronic table, which was very difficult for us to use, the food arrived quickly. The choice of food is very limited, the service is very poor, the staff is unfriendly and last but not least, it is simply overpriced! No recommendation!

The concept is nice but it’s a shame that the choice is quite limited. We walked through beautiful Covent Garden and were already disappointed when we arrived. A seedy alley with rubbish bins outside, such a contrast to the lovely streets nearby. The acoustics inside were very poor, so we could barely have a normal conversation with six people. The interior felt cheap and the lighting was very unpleasant. It all felt a bit shabby. We were actually disappointed that we had made a reservation here, but we couldn't get rid of it because we had paid a deposit. The food was not to our taste. Sushi was tasteless and some hot dishes were lukewarm/too cold. Our children, who normally love sushi, didn't even finish their plates. The interactive tables were the highlight of the evening, but did not compensate for the poor atmosphere and food. We had booked all you can eat, but we were instructed to order a la carte. Then both were added to the bill, resulting in a huge/double bill. Fortunately, this was corrected by the staff. Add to that the dirty glasses, wet plates and rancid toilets and we would definitely not recommend this place.

I was gifted a bottomless brunch as a birthday present, only to be presented with the bill for what we ate, with a service charge on top. Not the waitress's fault but the companies tactics to try get me to pay the bill that's already been paid. When questioning it I was told " oh you don't have to pay anything, but you can if you want". The waitress was lovely and she was only following company policy, so I made sure she got cash in her pocket and this dodgy outfit didn't benefit from anything.

Energy in the room felt like eating at McDonald's around central London. Plastic plates, tiny portions except edamame beans. Paid for the £39.50 all you can eat. Well... only from the selected options which were really basic and not really well prepared food. The regular menu is overpriced so you think £40 is good deal. The drinks are overpriced. The food is low quality. There's nothing you can gain from eating there. Also at the end of it they ask you to give a review and mention the servers name. I think it's unethical to force your employees to exploit themselves like that so you can make more money while I bet they get close to minimum and what you offer is so bad. For those interested, I got a deal at kibako and hotstone for £30 and the food was exquisite! Don't waste your time or money. Also really noisy and really cold cause people kept leaving the door open and there wasn't a person at the door at all times. Grateful to the person who accepted my vouchers. The staff shouldn't be blamed for the state of things. It is the ethics of the business. Disgusting. Gave it a second star for the helpful staff.

The food here is far too expensive for the small selection offered—there are barely 10 dishes, if that. Anything extra comes with an additional charge. Drinks? Only about three kinds of juices to choose from, which was really disappointing. To make matters worse, the staff was unfriendly and seemed annoyed the entire time. The only redeeming part of this experience was the table where kids could draw on. At least they had some fun, but for the price, it’s not worth it. Would not recommend.

Last night we had dinner at Inamo Covent Garden. We found out about the restaurant via Instagram, where great sushi creations, including those in the shape of a dragon, were advertised. That sounded promising and we wanted to try the experience for ourselves. First impression When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by two ladies at the reception desk, who, however, showed us to our table on the ground floor with rather moderate friendliness. The ambience on the ground floor was disappointing: the lighting was cold and uncomfortable, and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Overall, the room seemed slightly dingy. Highlight: Interactive tables A special feature of the restaurant are the interactive tables with built-in screens, which are fun for both children and adults. You could paint on it, play games and order food straight away. This modern and creative approach was definitely a highlight of the visit. Food: Very good, but with drawbacks in service We tried a variety of dishes including sushi and Chinese chicken and the food was consistently delicious. However, one dish was forgotten when we ordered and was only served after a wait of 40-45 minutes when we asked. This left a rather poor impression of the service, which overall was not particularly attentive. The nicer room remained out of reach On the first floor there is a much more attractive room that would have been more suitable for the food. When we asked if we could sit upstairs - at least there were enough seats available - we received a blunt answer: "It's the same as down here." That didn't contribute to a positive experience either. Conclusion The Inamo Covent Garden impresses with its innovative table technology and its very good food. Unfortunately, the experience is marred by an uncomfortable atmosphere, mediocre service and organizational weaknesses. I would give the restaurant 3.5 out of 5 stars. With a little more attention to detail and a friendlier customer orientation, Inamo could fully exploit its great potential.

Went here for the first time as a party of three, it is a novelty restaurant with touch screen tables that is it...we ordered plant based (vegan), very limited choice with tasteless food, miso soup was too salty, sushi was standard like you can pickup in supermarkets with soy sauce that lacked umami & tested just salty liquid. Main had just three choices went for udon noodles that had side recommendation as rice, a strange combination. Also had Singapore noodles where both dishes lacked flavour and vegetables plus tofu/ other options as protein. Sake was just plum flavour syrup. All in all well below par experience when compared to Pho or even Wagamama. If you are after vegan/plant based food then do not waste your money here it is double or triple the price of other two mentioned places where you will get more choices plus waiters to talk to then would be fair to pay a service charge. Only service we got was food from kitchen table to our table plus payment terminal, off with these stupid screens and get real waiters to chat with and take orders then the service charge is justified.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Inamo! The atmosphere was vibrant and modern, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. Our waiter Hasan was attentive and ensured that our special requests were met, including making sure my dish was served without onions. The food was absolutely delicious, with unique flavours and beautiful presentations. I particularly loved the interactive table ordering system, which added a fun twist to the meal. Overall it was great food, excellent service, and a memorable experience. Highly recommend Inamo for anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Interesting, if slightly annoying after a while, approach to ordering via the table itself... Try it, it is pretty cool as a gimmick. Food was decent. Sake was reasonable. Service was good, especially Hasan who we had a great chat with. Particularly liked the spicy Tuna Rolls. Not sure I'll go back but if you're in the area.

we booked per groupon. the food we got for our money was okay. not great but we were full by the end. sumana was our waiter and she was nice. the tables were a bit sticky but the idea of the smart tables is cool. i would comeback if the there where more dishes you could choose from with the groupon menu.

Incredible. Food was amazing, service was incredible. Our waiter Hasan, was very polite and attentive to whatever we needed. The food was made quickly but perfectly. If i could give it 10 stars i would. Me and the wife are very happy. (also thank you to the two sweet ladies at the till who didnt penalise us for being 4 minutes late)

Si tienes dificultades auditivas evita este lugar ya que la música es demasiado alta para comodidad. Este fue un trabajo que hicimos en Navidad pero no creo que estemos usando este lugar de nuevo. El servicio era bueno y atento, pero el chef en este lugar debe ser un pariente lejano de Scrooge. Tenía sopa de calabaza que era agradable y caliente, pavo con todos los adornos excepto pudín Yorkshire y salsa. Pensé que faltaba el relleno pero estaba astutamente escondido bajo el pavo. También había 1 cerdo solitario escondido en una manta. Esta es una cena de Navidad que fue hecha por alguien que debe estar celebrando la Navidad por su cuenta. Tuvimos Panna Cotta, que fue un poco más difícil de lo esperado. Lo más destacado fue ver a mi colega con su tabla de quesos que se ubica como la más pequeña del mundo. Las bebidas estaban bien, pero no tenían whisky aparte de Jamieson. Probé el Twisted Irish que era una combinación de Jamieson, café frío y espuma Guinness. Esto retrasó la reunificación irlandesa en 100 años. Si esto se suponía que era una tarifa de Navidad entonces Santa habría renunciado y desechado las festividades. Decepcionante por £ 49. 50 por cabeza.
