What, I mean why, how in the hell is still place working and full? Let me tell you, its because of the gift vouchers. Noone would spend their own money on this crappy food. Regretfully went here for dinner last night. "Japanese"- has the chef tasted a sushi ever? Itsu sushi is better and cheaper. The portion sizer couldn't be smaller, the sushi was dry af. The street Asian food stalls do a better job than did this restaurant. Despite the vouchers they charged us extra without a warning. Pls avoid this place, do not give these vouchers as a gift, do not burn your money on this. I mean come on!! The only good thing was the gaming tables, but come on, even mac'd has those with better tasting food!

Absolutely adore coming here. My husband come every valentine's day because the food is delicious, ambience is cozy and relaxing and staff are brilliant. Sumara is amazing and so lovely she made our evening very relaxing and was so sweet

I recently visited Inamo and had a solid dining experience. The ambiance was comfortable, and the service was attentive without being overwhelming. The food was well-prepared, with the [specific dish] being a highlight. The wine selection was a good match for the meal. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I’d gladly return.

My wife and I had an experience through buy a gift which was a meal with Inamo and then a comedy evening afterwards. Great food, excellent options for vegetarians/vegans too. The interactive table is nice for both adults and kids who could draw on it and keep themselves entertained so for families as well as friends or couples it’s great. Comedy night was great too with local talent and upcoming artists you may not have heard of. Highly recommend.

Inamo covent garden has super cool interactive touchscreen menus as it's tables. The staff are polite and attend the table well. Food is excellent and delivered hot and quick. Recommend the plum chicken karaage and Hoikoro Pork belly

I'm leaving a two star because of the comedy which was decent. We had a voucher for dinner + comedy night for two. Ordering was already hard because of the "interactive table menu". At the beginning I thought it was fun. At the end I thought it was just a broken gimmick. Apparently if you leave a phone next to the screen (i.e. the table), the submit button doesn't work anymore (not the rest of the buttons on a touch screen (?????? Explain me that with science?)). Fine. The "dinner" was merely 3 tapas of a very limited selection of average quality sushi+Chinese snack items. Among the ones we chose, the salmon with black bean sauce was the best. The rest, nothing to write home about. Moreover, the menu is deceiving. In the photo they show you 6 pieces for the mosaic sushi. In reality only 3 come. We ended up hungry, of course. At the time of paying we were handed a bill charging us the price of the voucher (which was a gift given to me) + a technology fee and a 12.5% service charge on that total. A few notes: 1) why am I paying 12.5% on the comedy price included in the voucher? 2) why am I paying 2.50 GBP for the use of the only menu they offer me (the alternative of not using that technology was sitting on the floor). Also the technology was broken and made the experience seem like a joke (I guess that's why it's a comedy voucher). 3) why am I paying service charge on THAT FEE as well? So overall using the voucher and drinking tap water (because booze is insanely expensive) I spent 11 GBP on top. I wouldn't recommend anything of this restaurant not even to my enemies.

Really disappointed with our experience at Inamo for my husband's birthday. We booked the unlimited sushi and tapas but were let down by poor service. It took about 8 minutes just to be seated, and our table was near a cold vent, making it quite uncomfortable. When my husband asked to move, the staff member seemed annoyed and said it wasn’t possible due to incoming guests. The food was ok - very limited vegetarian options. The venue itself looked worn out and in need of a refresh. To top it off, getting the bill took another 10 minutes. Overall, it felt overpriced for what we got. Sadly, it didn’t meet our expectations, and I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

I had an amazing experience at Inamo Covent Garden ! The interactive dining concept is so unique and fun, making the whole meal even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh sushi, flavorful Asian tapas, and a great selection of drinks. A special shoutout to Sahad, who provided outstanding service! He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. His recommendations were spot on, and his warm attitude made our visit even better. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and top-notch service. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Went for bottomless brunch with my friends, menu was smaller than is offered online which was first disappointment. Charged us for 4 people even though it was just 3 of us. We booked with bottomless brunch offer of 30% discount however gave us only 15% discount. Staff and manager is incompetent and clearly doesn’t know what they are offering online. Was hard to talk with manager as he was insisting that we are incorrect and was supper pushy for us to pay more than we should have. Will not going to comeback as this is a scam and definitely not worth your money as food was meh

Had a girlie lunch here on Saturday. It was a bottomless brunch offer, all you can eat and drink for £35. Good value as this included wine - we had prosecco - or beer. The food was plentiful and, once we'd worked out how to order on the electronic table, arrived promptly. Some of it could have been a bit hotter, but overall it was very tasty and we had a great time. Even played some games after eating! It's not a place for a romantic dinner, but definitely worth trying out.

Clean, neat hall, beautifully decorated dishes, fast service, everything you need to eat deliciously and comfortably. That's why we come here more than once.

The restaurant itself is lovely, the waiters are very attentive & playing games on the table is such a great idea - & it actually works. The sensors that pick up the movement are really good. The food however, just seems batch cooked & warmed up. It came out so fast once we ordered that there was no way that it was made fresh to order. The batter on the Sweet & Sour Chicken was soggy, like it has been sitting in the sauce for some time and the Kimiche Rice was claggy. In addition, the drinks were certainly overpriced, even for London. I had a single shot of a spirit which was £9.95 & the mixer to go with it was £4.95! You pay for the addition of the games at your table and I certainly won't be going back

The restaurant is freezing, I had to have a scarf and jacket wrapped around me. Some service was ok, others seemed confused as to what they were doing. Food was average. Cocktails were tiny and tasted like the fake alcohol you get on holiday. Probably the worst restaurant I’ve been to.

Went here as we had a voucher for a comedy night. The interactive tables don't work that well. Staff are a little tricky to understand. The only thing we had to pay for were the two large bottles of water (had a voucher for food and comedy) and the bill came to over £20 due to service charge. Absolutely rip off and probably wouldn't go back. Food was ok, the atmosphere was dead, and it's also really rubbish lighting so you can't see what you're eating. Maybe a good thing!

Used a voucher for unlimited food. The menu was really small and not a big variety. The fish didn’t taste good or look safe. It felt like the staff were laughing at me behind my back. The atmosphere was not nice, a weird music choice for the environment. The food was not presented as shown on the menu and tasted unsatisfactory, bland, and like they had cheaped out on ingredients. All drinks are overpriced by a massive amount. £9 for a pint is insane. I went for a date and the whole time my partner just felt uncomfortable with looks and laughs from staff nearby as we ate. They rushed us out at the end of our 90 minutes and even charged us 11£ for service charge. Awful experience and this was my second time. Much worse than the first. I will not be returning

Only reason for eating here is the interactive table games if you are with kids. The food is fine but the service is verging on rude. They are not unpleasant but have no idea of what service looks like. It is quite hard to communicate at times. Combined with the random arrival times of food and nightclub style loos I cannot recommend.

1/5 Was given this meal and comedy night as gift. Honestly, don’t bother. The main USP of the restaurant is the interactive tables used to order the food. This was a novelty until the bill arrived where we were charged £2.50 for the luxury to use their ordering system. This on top of the extortionate prices for food and drink (£9 for 330ml can of cider) was a bridge too far. Imagine being charged to use a restaurant’s menu. As this was bought as a gift, we were allocated 3x items each. One of my dishes consisted of 4 chicken bites (no salad or accompaniment) which would have cost me £15 ordinarily. My partner has a gluten allergy and was only able to choose 5 items from the menu - prawn crackers, fake salmon sushi and chips… Not to mention the quality was bang average - food not fully heated, felt like it had been microwaved. The service charge was also calculated based on what the whole meal would have cost if we didn’t have a gift voucher - which came to £115. This meant they tried to charge us £12.50 for service which was all using a digital ordering system that we also had to pay for! Scam. The only saving grace was the fact that we didn’t actually have to pay for the rest of the meal. Staff were definitely friendly but somewhat unprofessional as it wasn’t explained where the comedy would be.

Food - Had better, came out cold and lacked any kind of love put into the meal. The waiter slammed the plates on the table while we were using the interactive table which you will also have to pay for because its your problem they have it apparently. £95 wasted. Won’t be returning

Had a superb time with my teenage daughter. Loads of laughs playing games on the interactive tables. Food was on the pricey side but delicious. Served by Sumana who was delightful. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time! I got a voucher for Xmas for unlimited tapas and wine/beer and the food was exquisite, Mohammed looked after us really well and we were never without need for a top up. The food came out quickly, it was so much fun playing games too with the interactive games on the table! Beware though, even with a voucher you will be charged service fee and something called an ‘interactive tech’ fee .

Had to wait a while before writing the review as the experience left a bad taste in the mouth(literally) Starting with the food - Average bordering on poor - its conveyor belt food, made with no emphasis on quality. The all you can eat voucher menu is also horrendous and should be avoided if possible The service - there is no service yet you'll be charged for it, I couldve walked to collect my plate myself. And the interactive table is not free to use - this is actually the biggest money grab ever, you couldve hidden this cost in our food without us knowing. And we were ushered out without any care shown. This alone is a reason to avoid Atmosphere - Dark, crowded and lacking any comfort or ambiance - may as well been in a poorly lit KFC Inamo has given up on being anything good and you should give up on it too

Me and my boyfriend came here to celebrate our anniversary hoping for a nice dinner and experience. Unfortunately this place did not meet our expectations, food was okay and took really long to come. The interactive table didn’t work properly for us and had problems sending away our order. Furthermore, we felt completely ignored by staff, no one came to check on us to see if we liked our food either. Servers checked on all the tables around us and ignored us for some reason causing an unpleasant experience, it was also very difficult to get staff’s attention for help. When we tried to, servers looked our way and would walk off. We politely asked a waiter to check on our order which we made 40minutes ago and he never came back to explain why nothing has came. A waitress was also very quick to give us the bill while we were eating even though we didn’t ask for it. I noticed they did not do this to anyone else that was still eating. The only time someone came to us was when they were asking about last orders or handing us the bill. This is the worst service I’ve ever had! I do not recommend this place!

Absolutely terrible, complete scam! Sushi is stale and refrigerated, not made fresh. Prices are outrageous for the quality and quantity of the dishes (we got six dishes between two and were still hungry because they were tiny). Not to mention they charge to sit at the table, as if the alternative was to sit on the floor, AND the service charge is extreme considering you order through a screen and the staff are not very helpful or friendly. The comedy was horrendous. It felt like they had just asked random people on the street to come and perform. The toilets were gross, the bin was massive and somehow the Tampons were falling out of it. Clearly it doesn’t get attention from the cleaners-if they even have any. Yes the tables were interactive, but guests were given individual screens that don’t connect so it is a very antisocial concept. Can’t share the experience or play games together- Might as well use my phone for free.

I got the buffet package for my birthday party that I was promised that it is an all you can eat package on the phone. When the 18 of us got there, they portioned all of our food and we still had to pay £26 per person! Imagine getting only 6 small plates of fried chicken for 18 people! Ridiculous. Never going back. Worst birthday party ever.

Food just as bad as the service

Food was average to good, but you’ll be there mostly for the interactive games experience more than the food. There’s a technology license as well as a service charge added to your bill. It would be good to have a lock screen feature as we kept ordering stuff by accident. Overall quite pricey for effectively what you get is ok food on an oversized iPad. Not a place to frequently visit but ok to experience.

First time at Inamo in many years, with this first giving me a love of sushi. We had a voucher through Virgin for the all you can eat menu. Be warned that the voucher does not include drinks and you can easily add another £20 to your table by adding them. Maybe because it was lunchtime but the menu had quite a limited selection of actual sushi dishes. What we had was nice but not particularly memorable like our first visit years ago. The electronic tables have had an upgrade on our previous experience but I wouldn't say they worked better than then. Scrolling was tricky and kept ending up having to return to the main menu (first world problem though). There was quite a draft from the air conditioning but when mentioned, we were told it was because the door kept opening....it wasn't. The server Chetna was very attentive and friendly and was a credit to the restaurant. Our first experience of Inamo many years ago proved to be very memorable but in the years gone by, I think there are possibly better options for a top quality sushi experience now, which is a pity. Would possibly return but wouldn't be top of the list.

Completely INAMOquate. We got the unlimited sushi menu from virgin experience, and honestly as soon as we walked in we were dissapointed with the atmosphere, Inamo definitely fell off. The walls were dirty, the floors were dirty everything looked old and unkept, we kept hope and sat down at a booth, which was ridiculously cold. All the tables in the row wore coats and complained to the staff but they said the cold was from the kitchen so nothing could be done. It felt like we were eating outside. 2 beers cost us £18!! A small cup of tea (no teapot) for £5 and we got extra sushi for £3 (not everything on the unlimited menu is unlimited). We were then charged £40 for all those items as service charge was £10 ?? And then they charge you £3 just for using the table (aka just for being able to use the menu and the games) Which half the time wasn't working, we ordered all the food ourselves and when we complained to the waiter they gave me a corporate response and said they'd "pass on" our message. Didn't sound apologetic or genuine at all. The sushi was the biggest dissapointment. My boyfriend and I genuinely laughed and had fun solely based on how ridiculous it was, we couldnt stop laughing at comparing prices from the sushi to the real menu. I'd genuinely take someone there as a joke. £23 for a dragon roll which frankly is 10x better at you me sushi was hilarious, genuinely equivilent to gas station sushi. I can't believe we spent £100 here 🤣🤣 Walked out of the restaurant and felt so utterly scammed out of our money, and we weren't even outraged because it was just such a joke. A true mcdonalds of sushi as someone said in a previous review... plastic plates were also hilarious
