Really bad food, and even with 50% off it was more expensive then many high end restaurants with vastly better food and interior. Restaurant atmosphere was rubbish more like a canteen, playing annoying music and very tired decor in need of update.

Bang bang cauliflower was the best, everyone should try this one. All the food we had were great of taste and such a lovely environment. Do you remember what touch screens were like on smartphones in the mid-2000s? Well if you’ve forgotten - these tables will remind you! Cool concept but technology is nowhere near good enough and ordering is very frustrating. The only thing worse is when you get the bill and realise you have to pay for the system upkeep as well! What’s wrong with a normal menu? Food pretty good once you’ve ordered it and comedy cozy and accessible. Drinks overpriced.

Very disappointed with the food. I was given a voucher for the comedy show and dinner. The choices available to me were very limited, only 2 choices of sushi rolls , couple of salmon dishes- one was so salty it was inedible and a few vegetable choices. If you want a bigger variety you have to pay for them. Very expensive drinks. Again very limited. It took ages for someone to come over and explain what to do and how to order. The food didn't taste fresh at all, seemed like it had been sitting around a while. The comedy was great! Enjoyed that very much!

They charge you for using the interactive menus (£1.25 person) which is outrageous in my opinion. This was not disclosed at the beginning otherwise I would have not used them. Food was mediocre and expensive for what it was, cocktails were extremely expensive (£16+, rooftop prices to be eating in a dungeon in a back alley). Waiters also seemed miserable

Booked offer £29.95 four items per person, table of four including one teen. Drinks extra of course, very expensive! The concept is tired and glitchy, ordering via touch table is frustrating as each person can order items or delete not realising others chose 🙃 sending order failed and had to call waitress who had to take pictures of order then placed. You get charged extra for tech that you have no choice to use should be included anyway....duh!!! For was ok, but not clear if we received all 16 items or if they matched our choices 🤔 they arrived rapidly and now cover the table such that you can't play any games until table cleared. The use of touch table was not explained well and was frustrating enough ordering, now trying to playing on a stained sticky table does not encourage you. Dark and dingy, hard services make noisy atmosphere. Too complicated, too expensive- go elsewhere to eat and play separately.....wouldn't recommend! Read OpenTable reviews too.

Mahamuda was friendly and attentive, the food was good but there could have been more variety/options in the voucher. It’s also a bit naughty that the tech license and service charge is sprung on you at the end. We also noticed that they force you downstairs to the bar (this happens to everyone) while you’re waiting for your table ‘to be ready’ despite there being empty tables, and the drinks are extortionate even for London!!

My son and I visited this restaurant during his Easter break. The food was brilliant and we really liked the interactive table features which have tons of games on them. The portion sizes of the sushi were a bit small but we ordered enough for it to be a sufficient meal. It's location is in an alleyway and it is hard to find. There wasn't enough lighting so the place was a bit dark.

Had a great time at Inamo Covent Garden! The touchscreen tables were such a cool touch – ordering food, playing games, and even changing the table background made the whole experience feel futuristic and fun. Big shoutout to Mahamuda who was an absolute star – attentive, friendly, and made us feel well looked after throughout. Service was quick and efficient, and the food came out fast which kept the energy going. One little thing though – the “unlimited food” deal does feel a bit cheeky when some of the more tempting dishes are locked behind a premium upgrade. Bit of a buzzkill when you realise it’s not really all-you-can-eat unless you pay extra. That aside, still a brilliant night out and would definitely recommend for a fun dining experience!

I don’t often post a negative review but this was awful. Got tricked into taking the tasting menu. Which was rubbish. Imagine an expensive, deep fried, set of choices, even worse if you are gluten free and then realising that you have to pay extra for the only decent dishes on the menu and no deserts. The food is not as healthy or tasty as an itsu and obviously just the offcuts of the main meals. Did not have a main meal and the total cost for this uninspired slop, 60 per head including water. Extortionate for such poor food. So the experience. The menu was almost unbearable to use. And as soon as you got the food it was under the plates so really did not work. You could only play games after the meal when all you really wanted to do was leave. The restaurant itself is pretty run down. Gaffer tape holding the floor down, hand wash dispenser broken. Lots of wires all over the place, felt dirty in the toilets and stairs. Really for an expensive Japanese restaurant it was poor. There are better Japanese food places nearby. Had very little interaction with the staff but they were helpful when we did. Best food the Korean chicken wings which were lovely. Everything else better at Yo Sushi or Itsu. And I don’t like either. Taro would be better .

A gimmick at best. Sushi was like what you’d buy at a convenience store but 5 times as expensive. I did all of the work in ordering but our table still got charged £40 service charge. The screens could have been cool but they don’t work well and if you set a phone on them they glitch and they don’t work with a plate or cup touching. Find an actual sushi/Japanese place and don’t buy into the gimmick.

What a disappointment this place is. Gotta be the worst food experience I've had. All gimicky and not for Asian cuisine fans. Booked a table for 4 via experience days worth £150, but feel I've been ripped off, all the sushi dishes were laden with soggy rice. We were so disappointed, we paid the s/c and IT charge and left after 15 minutes and went elsewhere to eat.

Extremely disappointed by the new menu – especially as a vegetarian. The removal of the veggie burger and brownie in favor of a small aubergine dish and an out-of-place apple crumble (in spring?) feels like a real step backwards. The aubergine portion wouldn’t fill a child, and with only one other veggie option—a basic salad—the menu now offers virtually nothing substantial for non-meat eaters. I left hungry and genuinely frustrated. This new direction is alienating for vegetarians. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Extremely overpriced, food is nice but nothing special. Got a bill for £140 for three people, only had one soft drink each! Large service charge added, but you order from the table plus a charge for using the interactive table. Toilets were discussing, blocked drains and water everywhere and dirty. I mentioned it to staff but not sure they were bothered. Won’t be returning. Can get better food for a better price elsewhere, overpriced all for the gimmick tables, not at all what we were expecting.

Everything was just okay. Very limited sushi options in the bottomless. Very expensive drink options. We went on a voucher that didn’t include drinks and ordered a beer and a prosecco. They refilled my prosecco several times without us ordering so we thought maybe they were just being nice, as usually if it’s pay by glass you get a fresh full glass each time. When it came for the bill though the extra drinks were on there. I did drink them but, again at no time did we order it, and sometimes they filled up the glass before mine was empty so not your typical service if you’re ordering by the glass. They did remove it once we questioned it but wasn’t very honest practice. At one point our table turned off and we had to move and none of the staff helped move our drinks or plates over. Spicy edamame was the best thing and everything else was mediocre. Don’t think we will be returning, especially based on the full price of what you get.

1. Offensively expensive; £9/pint, £21/portion of vegan sushi, £17 cocktail etc. Spend a £10’er more and go to the Ledbury. 2. Mandatory c.£5 on bill for “technology license” … presumably denotes the undisclosed charge for use of their touchscreen tables, which don’t work, and which do not in any event entertain. 3. Empty restaurant but they sit new diners right next to you … on the dirty table they haven’t cleaned since the last customer (or the one before them). 4. You know that feeling the day after a really horrible takeaway? Yeah, that. At least Deliveroo tells you how much you’ve spent before you’ve eaten. 5. Plastic plates slammed down by way of service. Nice!

Disaster it was my 25 birthday, friend visiting me from another country I was super happy to bring them here, the welcoming was good but the rest was not we was even not seated that we are told to order because the kitchen close we was a good table as we order for 300 pound, 25 minutes receiving the food the lady told us we can’t have dessert and we need to do fast because they need to close, we felt super rush but we understand. At this moment we still eating and they are putting chair on the table open in big the door, we ask box take away as we don’t have cutlery we ask how to do it the lady told us do it by yourself then we did with our finger. We pay the bill without finishing eating and being rush to go away by the team it was my first and last time that I will come again.

Felt Like a Rip-Off We visited Inamo Covent Garden with a £65 voucher that was supposed to cover a meal (three small dishes per person) and entry to a comedy show. However, we later found out that the comedy show was actually free, meaning the voucher wasn’t even necessary. From the start, the experience felt off. Upon arrival, 10 minutes before our reservation, we were directed to a basement bar, despite available space in the main dining area. The basement was exactly what you’d expect: dark, dirty, and cluttered. It felt more like a storage room than a place to relax before a meal. The food itself was massively overpriced, with poor quality and tiny portions. To make matters worse, not all menu items were available, and the staff seemed unsure about what was included with the voucher. The restaurant’s signature interactive screens were greasy and poorly maintained, and at the end of the meal, we were hit with a surprise "Technology License Tax", something never mentioned beforehand. The whole place had a dodgy vibe, to the point that we felt so uncomfortable we skipped the comedy show entirely. Even though we used a voucher, we left feeling completely ripped off. Wouldn’t recommend it at all.

What a disappointment! We arrived ahead of our 1 PM reservation and were informed that we could wait in the bar area downstairs. Upon finding the bar, we were met with a dimly lit space filled with shabby furniture. There was no staff present to assist, and people were busy unpacking boxes. Deciding it was best to leave, we returned closer to our reservation time. When we came back at 12:50, our table was still not ready, and we were once again directed to wait in the bar. After sitting there for 10 minutes, we returned to the reception desk for assistance. Finally, we were led to our table on the upper level, only to find that the area was completely clear, with plenty of available tables. We could have easily been seated earlier. The explanation of how the interactive menu worked was rushed. We had to use the table to place our orders, and then they charged us at the end for this service. What other way is there to order food? The food selection was very limited and rather uninspiring. As someone with Stage 4 cancer who can’t eat much, I ordered a kids' katsu curry, only to be met with a curt response from a waitress who informed me that it was only available for children aged 11 and under. There was no compassion from her, just a rigid adherence to the rules. Once we finished our meal, we were told to leave our table because it had been rebooked, despite the fact that the rest of the restaurant was empty and there were plenty of available tables. There was a service charge included in the bill, which we asked to have removed due to the poor service, basic food, and overall disappointing experience. I will not be returning.

TL;DR 1) There is a separate charge for using the menu. 2) Serving fish sushi in the same plates as vegan sushi. 3) Frustrating touchscreen menu table. 4) Sushi was mostly ok, rest of food was salty and/or oily and inconsistent in quality. Wagamama is better and cheaper Asian fusion for perspective. 5) Subpar service. As we sat at the table, our first thought was how cool is that touchscreen table? But it turned out to be a dumb gimmick because they are poorly calibrated with shoddy user interface that kept glitching, making ordering your items a pain. The creme de la creme is the charge you get for ordering using the touchscreen table, something that is neither mentioned in the fine print on their Wowcher nor by any of the staff during your visit till they slap the bill on you. We don't know if paper menus were available but those were not offered to us. That is incredibly underhanded. We are Chinese so we have a certain standard when it comes to Asian food. I personally do not have high expectations for Asian fusion restaurants because of this, but I have been to better ones than this. Wagamamas is pretty good even. The sushi was mostly ok, but at some point one of the dishes had weird tasting rice. Tasted gone off. Most of the non-sushi dishes were too salty. The udon noodles were incredibly oily. One of our party is vegetarian yet when he ordered vegan sushi along with the rest of our orders of salmon sushi, they served all of the fish and vegan sushi on one platter without telling us. Bearing in mind one of them was vegan salmon so they look quite similar. I tried one of the vegan salmon sushis - it had a hunk of gherkin in it. Weird. Like with the black bean salmon sashimi, they're evidently trying to be creative and fusiony - for us, it doesn't work. I don't expect authentic food at a fusion restaurant, but I do expect good flavour combinations at any type of restaurant. The service was quite fast - perhaps even rushed, considering the quality and poor plating - and one of the servers simply placed our plates on our table saying absolutely nothing. No telling us what it is (again, we had a vegetarian with us), no saying "here you go" - nothing. Some servers were normal and friendly, I'll just say that. This restaurant has a 4.2 rating here as of writing. I don't want to speculate why so I will just say, take what you will from my review and use your best judgment. I probably typed way too much but I guess I was just surprised at how disappointed I am from this experience. It's just a good thing we came here with Wowcher.

It was an absolute disaster! By far the worst sushi I've ever eaten. At the beginning we were ignored by the receptionist. After a good 2 minutes she looked up “surprised” as if she hadn’t noticed us. Absolutely unprofessional! The all-you-can-eat offer is like a really bad joke. For £44 per person you really expect something VERY different. There wasn't even simple maki, generally no selection at all and they skimped on everything, especially quality and freshness. Anyone who likes to eat sushi and is familiar with it knows that beetroot, red onions or pickles simply have no place in sushi. In short: the sushi was absolutely disgusting! The warm dishes were also a complete disaster and inedible. This store is an absolute catfish and really offers NOTHING for the way overpriced. Just give this restaurant a wide berth.

Me and my boyfriend came here hoping for a nice dinner and experience. Unfortunately this place did not meet our expectations, food was okay and took really long to come. The interactive table didn’t work properly for us and had problems sending away our order. Furthermore, we felt completely ignored by staff, no one came to check on us to see if we liked our food either. Servers checked on all the tables around us and ignored us for some reason causing an unpleasant experience, it was also very difficult to get staff’s attention for help. When we tried to, servers looked our way and would walk off. We politely asked a waiter to check on our order which we made 40minutes ago and he never came back to explain why nothing has came. A waitress was also very quick to give us the bill while we were eating even though we didn’t ask for it. I noticed they did not do this to anyone else that was still eating. The only time someone came to us was when they were asking about last orders or handing us the bill. This is the worst service I’ve ever had! I do not recommend this place!

If I could give Inamo zero stars, I would. This was hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in London. First off, they have the audacity to charge customers a “technology license fee” for their interactive tables, which are incredibly outdated, difficult to use, and honestly more of a gimmick than anything useful. You’re essentially paying extra for a frustrating experience. The food arrived quickly, but that didn’t make up for the fact that they sent multiple incorrect dishes to our table. When we did get what we ordered, it was disappointing. The kimchi fried rice was so soggy that liquid pooled at the bottom of the plate—completely inedible. We had to send it back. To make matters worse, I witnessed one of the waiters eating behind a small wooden partition near the kitchen right before bringing food to our table. I don’t know if it was our dish or not, but the fact that he was still chewing as he served us was beyond unprofessional. Customer service was practically nonexistent. The staff avoided eye contact and seemed to intentionally ignore guests. It felt like they just wanted to get through their shift without dealing with customers. And let’s talk about the price—completely unjustified for the poor quality of food and service. You’re better off spending your money literally anywhere else. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the final impression of this place was the overwhelming smell of toilets on the way out. That sums up the entire experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid Inamo at all costs.

Disappointing quality of food for the price - avoid coming here for the sushi as the fish doesn’t taste fresh and the ratio of rice to filling is off. However, the vegetable tempura and chicken based items on the menu were served warm and tasted good. There are plenty of better places nearby.

Lovely lunch at the Wet Fish Cafe. Limited fresh fish courses but food is of a high standard , delicious and very good value.One of our party has food allergies and the staff were so helpful and considerate in accommodating her. Thank you Wet Fish Cafe.
