Best hogs pudding bap in Cornwall ! Bacon sandwich good too. Also had 'thunder and lightning' on a scone. Wonderful - highly recommended 😀

It was closed last time I visited, glad it was open, Staff very friendly and helpful, dog friendly inside and has a doggy menu as well, wonderful coffee and sausage roll.

We had the cheese toasties and cheese sandwiches these were amazing and the chutney was amazing as well

The best strawberry jam in town, the scones are good too. Overall, they are priced a bit on the steep side with a cream tea costing £9.50. views of the garden are peaceful and beautiful too

Lovely friendly staff, unfortunately we missed the cut off for lunch but we had drinks and cake and were made to feel so welcome. The garden was lovely to sit in and we will return again. Thank you.

Absolutely beautiful! My mum and I were treated to some incredibly tasting scones with Jam and good old clotted cream. We were then converted to the Thunder & Lightning version! Old Cornish style with syrup and cream! Absolutely beautiful space, incredible staff and an amazing atmosphere. So thankful for such a treat that was enjoyed with my mom visiting from South Africa .

The setting of this garden cafe is so cozy. You’re surrounded by beautiful scenery of flowers and green park. Service deserves 5 stars, staff is super friendly. Prices are really reasonable and food portions are very generous. Best cream teas I ever had - homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream served in cute jars with fresh fruit. Amazing atmosphere and food, definitely recommend!

Had a gorgeous cream tea on the first day of our holiday 13/4/24. The best part of the visit,however was the enthusiastic greeting from the lovely member of staff to our equally excited Flat coated retriever, Willis. Made the visit so lovely. So lovely in fact we called in the next day just so Willis could say hello to his new friend. Just a shame we don't live nearer.

A must visit featuring top notch coffee, brunch and cakes. Loved the menu's Cornish influences. Add to that the excellent service and cosy setting - you can't go wrong with The Garden Café!

Glad to find this amazing cafe open today! Food is 100% hype so as the food selections, the location - the view is so overly stated, and staffs are undoubtedly polite and friendly. Coffee is highly recommended for anyone eyeing strong caffeine! Paid visits to Newquay cafes often on Thursdays but I could say this is a great spot [to be listed] worth returning to 😊

We have been to The Garden this afternoon and enjoyed a pre-booked afternoon tea. Amazing!!!! We have been to several now and it was definitely the best of the lot. Scones so fresh and melted in the mouth. Carrot cake to die for. We will be back. Thank you so much

A group of 10 of us popped in for what was only going to be a coffee and cake. 8 of them decided to go for a full lunch. Food looked lovely. Service was good, half of the group got there and got seated and when they realised the other half was there we were allowed straight in.

Fantastic food and service at reasonable prices. Can't wait to go again.

Excellent coffee and locally baked sausage rolls were both top notch and the staff made us feel very welcome. Set in picturesque gardens with indoor and outdoor seating, this is a great place for a snack or a meal. Highly recommended.

Heard about this place at a rest stop on our way to holiday in Newquay and just had to check it out. Was not disappointed! Simple food, done well. Coffee is also locally roasted and has an amazing unique flavour. DOG FRIENDLY!!! We didn't have ours, but was great to see and be able to meet other dogs. Plus, the service was fast, friendly and really lovely. Nice places to walk nearby as well to make a bit of a good visit to this bit of Newquay. Will definitely be back on our next visit!

The cafe is in the lovely seeing of Trenance Gardens. The Cornish cream tea was excellent and the staff welcoming.

i attended a wedding in June here; I would recommend venue and cafe-perfect day. the quality of food and service was outstanding. The atmosphere was welcoming friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

My husband and I had 2 scones with jam and cream and a pot of tea for 2. We were charged £12.10 and weren't advised that a cream tea and a pot of tea for one, ie the same, was £10.75. Therefore, we were overcharged by £1.35. Very disappointed.

We only had a coffee but the atmosphere was lovely & so where the staff. Lovely venue in the boating lake gardens.

Gorgeous little spot, recently refurbished and looks stunning inside. Stopped for a pasty and a Cornish gin cocktail which were both very nice. They also had a ‘Thunder and Lightning’ scone on the menu, which I’d not heard of before but will definitely be back to try. Staff are lovely and it’s right next to the Trenance Cottages (which are well worth a look around too).

Absolutely stunning gardens and little lake. Went there with my family for cream tea and it was by far the BEST cream tea i’ve ever had! Scones were warm and fresh and the tea was lovely. Staff were so friendly and chatty. The area surrounding the cafe is so scenic and defines cornwall so well. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!! 🤍☀️

Visited here a 17th Aug. Great place as we had been before (the year previous). Unfortunately we arrived about 2:30, and there seemed to be no food available. Only Cream Teas! A shame, as we had all been looked forward to a bit more substantial. But needless to say, we were hungry. So Cream Teas all round. We weren't disappointed. The Scones, Jam and Clotted Cream were all phenomenal. Ended up with far too much to eat, even though we were hungry. Well worth a visit (but obviously at an earlier time of day).

Very very disappointed. My friend and I had been previously and saw how lovely the cream tea looked and said our husbands would love one of them. We took them today and got tea in paper cups and got 2 of the smallest tub of clotted cream and 2 tiny pots of jam between 4 of us. Hardly enough to cover the scones. £32 what a rip off.

Spent our last day of our holiday here on 20/08/21. Lovely afternoon tea with warm scones with jam and clotted cream which were delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming. Been coming to Newquay for years and always wanted to visit here- will definitely be back next year .

I had a cream tea today and not only it was (very) generously sized, but the scones were the lightest and fluffiest I had in a long while. Lovely staff and beautifully located, I would definitely recommend.

Had the best scone here ever! The scone was huge and plenty of jam and clotted cream provide to fill it up. absolutely delicious. The vegan pasty was delicious too. A lovely little tea room with lots of outdoor seating.

Strange little place. The pasty was served with a bowl of quavers crisps & the soup was tasty but the consistency of baby food. Staff very friendly but 6 of them in such a tiny space & as the only customers there I was surprised the tables were dirty.

Found this place by chance walking through the gardens so stopped off for a coffee and cake. Great quality coffee and homemade cakes served in a gorgeous outside space by very helpful and friendly staff, what more could you want? Well worth a stop off!

I felt the staff there was cheap and only wanted to take my money and not give me a good customer service. I paid for 2 post of tea and only got one. On the menu it says tea made with tealeafs and not bags but they didn't care, all they wanted was to take my money and save there stock. Most of the woman staff there apart from 2 kept giving me funny looks, laughing, staring at me. Didn't like the customer service at all

We stopped here after visiting the museum next door. I had a fresh scone and a pot of tea and thoroughly enjoyed them both. The staff are friendly and the food and prices are very good.

Nice warm scone. Jam and cream pots were impossible to decant from however. A wedding reception was in progress so totally impractical for passers by and probably should have been closed to public. Also no menus on tables. Not very impressed.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff with really yummy food. A perfect venue for families with young children and babies. Also it's situated in a beautiful park with lots of things to see and do. Definitely we'll come back and recommend it to people we know. 😁

There is a good choice of light lunches for vegetarians/vegans the service was prompt & friendly. Bottles of free tap water were available. Only down side was the granary bread was a little dry.

Lovely peaceful cafe tucked away in a corner of attendance Gardens. Good choice of food, the ploughman's deserves its own special mention. Can get a bit noisy and hot inside but the outside tables are great.

Lovely place with good homemade food and snacks. Enjoy a local bear or a tea/coffee while sitting outside and listening to the sounds of the small river nearby. Next to it is a small museum with details about this place and his history.

Located at the end of a historic property, the food is great, and the location cannot be beaten. The gardens are a wonderful backdrop to a great tea room. Great vegetarian and vegan choices on the menu, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
