We had an unnecessarily negative experience in the Garden Museum cafe. Unfortunately, the attitude of the host there doesn’t make us want to return. We’d requested milk for coffee (twice ) . When it still hadn’t appeared my partner called over to ask the host what was happening as his coffee was cold. Not only was the response unapologetic, the host came over at the end ( after we’d paid ) to say he didn’t appreciate being shouted at, which was a complete distortion . His manner was entitled and fell massively short of what we are used to in terms of service. So disappointing as the museum is lovely and deserving of a great cafe where staff know how to behave.

Second visit to the cafe for lunch, once again excellent experience. The focaccia bread always a must, soft and full of umami; the quiche starter was fluffy and flavourful; the two fish mains were delicious too. A special mention for Hugo our waiter, who was extremely attentive and was kind enough to get our teas deducted from the bill as the fish took a bit long to arrive, superb!

Unfortunately a bit disappointing. Been previously won’t be going again. Used plates/glasses for first course left on table during second course.. presume this is cafe etiquette? Some staff are quite blunt.

We were given 20 mins.at an outdoor table due to a prior reservation and had 2 small pots of tea and were then automatically charged 12.5% service, which was unexpected and unwelcome and we will not visit again. The waitress offered to cancel the charge once we had already paid but too little too late. Not a happy customer.

Only found by accident. Nice quiet area for a coffee or snack. Nice coffee and the cakes and sandwiches looked very tempting

Good coffee for reasonable prices! The sandwiches looked good, but weren't my speed. It was a godsend when it started pouring as we were walking around the grounds!

After walking round the Palace a cup of tea and sandwich and a sit down was in order. Was very busy but I would recommend it.

After spending a few minutes at a horrendous restaurant for lunch I decided to go to Buckingham Palace to take some pictures, after seeing some sites around Buckingham Palace I found this café and it is great! I got some tea which is is pretty much obligatory if you visit London! And some cake. Which was delicious. It's a nice place to relax too after lots of walking, I stayed way long after I finished because it was a nice place to rest!

coffee was okay but was hoping for palace paper cup for souvenir ,but only plain ones given not like in the pictures ,maybe they ran out , no cash taken ,cards only

This cafe is basically when you are done... nice food selection.. because from that point on.. you need to walk 15-20 min to exit... and final stop for souvenirs as well.

It was nice to just sit and take in what you have just seen. Being a part of a tour in Buckingham Palace is very special and a priviledge I feel. Enjoy the atmosphere, rest your legs and of course the nice cup of tea.

First a rude member of staff told me it's not his job to give me any allergen information and then a cake that was labelled as gluten and dairy free had been plonked on the same display plate as the 'normal' ones so it wasn't safe to eat. Major improvement needed!

After the amazing State Room tour we finished with cups of Tea, Scones and Smoked Salmon Rolls to finish our fantastic British Day

A very nice way to end a tour of the stunning palace staterooms. Coffee and pastry from the same caterer that provides for the garden parties..!!

We had just done a tour of the palace and of course we had to have a cuppa when we'd finished. The café is nice but we were in towards the end of the day and they were clearing up around us. The coffee was good and me and my friend shared a sandwich which was tasty. One thing that could have been better was that the coffee was served in cardboard cups - it would have made it a bit more special if it was served in proper cups.

Unbelievable to be having a tea and looking out at the massive gardens were 30,000 people come each year to the Queen's tea party. Very fun.

Amazing restaurant! Such a hidden gem, I can't recommend it highly enough. Went here with my mom and boyfriend, it was such a hit! Excellent ingredients, expertly crafted dishes. The octopus was the best I've ever had

This was a pleasant stop to get a bite to eat after touring Buckingham Palace. The initial cashier we were placing our order with, Shaheen, was very patient and explaining the different items we had questions about. Suddenly, another employee name Adam came and sent him away to do something else and was extremely rude as he tried to "rush" us to order. I informed him that he lacked customer service manners and ask for his name and informed him that I would be mentioning his behavior on my Tripadvisor review as I'm sure management does not condone it. Otherwise, the food and beverages here were on average ok for a quick snack.

Who would ever guess that we would have a high tea in Buckingham Palace-The Garden Cafe. I chose “Vanila Mille Feuille” which was decorated with a crown jewel on top ❤️ We are already back in the US but my husband still dreaming of these delicious pastry..

As you’d expect this cafe has a captive audience, being only those who have done the palace tour. Overpriced and ordinary coffee served in a paper cup. Save yourself some money and pack some snacks from your hotel buffet and just grab a coffee here.

This pop up cafe overlooks the garden so is a very pleasant place to have some refreshment. The sandwiches are nice but pre-packed and made elsewhere so I would recommend the cakes which are fabulous and made on site at the palace! It is expensive...

The cafe is a very welcome place at the end of the state rooms tour. Service was very slow however which was a shame. The iced coffee is excellent.

Beautiful restaurant and cafe with leafy terrace tables, you can find vegetarian and vegan soups, salads and homemade cakes.

It is an opportunity not to be missed. Only open for a limited time in the summer. My sandwich and soda came to 9 pounds, very reasonable considering the location. Bathrooms are not in the Palace proper but about 500 meters away in the gardens.

This was a bit pricey but definitely part of the overall experience of being at Buckingham Palace. My large macaron was wonderful, even at the Five Pound price. Lines moved quickly.

The only place where you can have some refreshment during your visit to the Buckingham Palace. Drinks and light meals are of average quality but the ice-cream is really good. The view of the Royal Garden is also pleasant.
