Great place to stay with a very warm welcome and the food was very tasty. Great base to go hiking if you are looking for very good value for money

We stayed with a big group of friends this weekend and the whole experience was great! The place is clean, and has a really chilled and welcoming vibe. Food was delicious (especially the lime and ginger cheesecake!😁) staff are all super friendly and helpful, will definitely be back again!

Cannot fault the staff or food! Had an amazing pizza which came with a drink which was a bonus. Would also 100% recommend the cheesecake as it was homemade and DELICIOIS. The staff were also lovely for our whole stay, friendly and helpful.

Just came back from our lovely stay at this very pleasant hotel. Went with a group of 9 friends to visit snowdon. Rooms were very clean and had all the things we needed. Ellie was a great host for us all and accommodated all our needs. We came back late from our trip and she was more than happy to move or dinner reservations. Food was very good and well orangised. Took each name for each meal to make it easier for when it came out, very attentive. Always made sure we were OK. Definitely recommend this place for people who are looking for a relaxed environment for the weekend with some friends

I went for dinner as part of a group and I have to say I have never had such a disappointing night. We arrived at the restaurant at 8am for dinner and I have never experienced such a long wait for food. My dinner arrived at 10.15 and I was handed three cremated chicken goujons as a main course. 99% of the food served was only slop. They had no idea who ordered what. The staff were not in the least bit friendly and the chef, what can I say about this woman, RUDE, IGNORANT, UNPROFESSIONAL, and a BULLY. One person ordered a burger and it came out half cooked and the person sent it back and it came out again not cooked properly. The chef came out of the kitchen, placed both hands on the table, hovered over us and gave a lecture about the burger being cooked at 80 degrees and did the person want the burger overcooked. The chef's behaviour was uncalled for. My friend felt very intimidated. A lot of the group complained about the food. If I ever visit Wales again I will definitely avoid this restaurant.

Really disappointing. Very little ambiance, felt like a cross between a half- empty youth hostel and a roadside diner. Some music and vases on tables would have created a more restaurant -like atmosphere. Very ordinary customer service (several mistakes were made & we were left for long periods in a back room without anyone asking if we’d like drink refills or how our food was). As for the pizzas - they definitely did not live up to the hype. Very overpriced and nothing special at all. Small bases and sparse toppings … especially considering what we paid. The original reviews that we read (which had prompted us to visit) were a few years old - so maybe it used to be good, but our £15 pizzas were worth at least half that. Very disappointing.

Staying at llanberis touring park literally around the corner so super convenient Best homemade pizzas around free drink with your pizza so good value,pizza lovely properly bakes crispy on the outside had some homemade garlic mayo to dip in ,staff really friendly so good booked again for tomorrow night,burgers locally sourced from local butchers shops in llanrhug that I supply with ingredients so quality superb.

Popped in last night 3/4/2024 to have a meal with the family - I have to say the staff were friendly and amazing - the food was amazing - try the lamb kebab - my son had a pizza and that was amazing - all the food is freshly cooked and I would say it’s the best place I went to eat at all ! If you’re staying in Llanberis or nearby it’s definitely worth a visit . Thank you and we will be back again !!

Brilliant family meal on Saturday night. Really lovely home cooked food and great service too. We had home made nachos, mozzarella sticks and pizzas plus homemade puddings.

Incredibly friendly staff and local patrons. Small but extremely good menu. The pizzas are as good as I’ve had even in Italy. My husband loved their Welsh beef burger. But bar none it is the staff who made this place! Diolch (thank you) !

Eaten here many times over the years and always enjoyed the pizzas. BUT, recently thought I'd try their vegi burger and honestly felt it was a complete rip off. £11 for a dry burger in a cheap white roll with a small salad. And an extra £4.50 for a small bowl of chips with a drizzle of cheese on top. Really felt like they were taking the p..s

The place doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside, but inside is really lovely. Pizza and a pint deal is great value and tasty too.

We visited with family as it was our SEN sons birthday. Wonderful welcoming and relaxed environment so friendly. I can't praise the staff enough, they were patient and engaging and took time to speak with our son, encouraging his attempts at Welsh. The hostel setting meant there were books and games he could look through and everyone was happy for him to move about. Food was great, tasty and fresh and pizza served with a birthday candle and happy birthday in Welsh. Absolutely recommended

Amazing pizza and friendly accommodating staff. Came in for a takeaway as we had a dog with us and they helped us be able to eat in as there is a balcony we could use. Exceptionally priced in this tough economic environment.

This place is a gem! We visit weekly and it never disappoints. Elin the landlord is so friendly and accommodating and Darren and the front of house teams service is second to non. You can choose whatever pizza toppings you fancy and its perfect for us as a family as also offers a kids option which includes pizza, chips , a drink AND ice cream. If you ask a member of staff then they provide a colouring and pencils which keeps the kids well Occupied. Highly Recommend.

Myself and 2 friends travelled down from Scotland and stayed for 2 nights . What a little gem of a place . We got a very warm welcome from Darren and we were looked after the whole weekend . Fab clean room and bathroom , amazing pizzas and a free pint with it too . View of snowdon from the dining room and another lovely dining room with some books . Short walk into town . Elin the owner was lovely and made us feel so welcome . We will be visiting again next year for sure !😊

Me and some friends came to stay for 2 nights whilst hiking in Snowdonia National Park, all I can say is brilliant, service 1st class, staff 1st class, facilities 1st class, food and drinks lovely and priced very very well. Thank you to all the staff. Awesome stay and will definitely be back again!

me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights in the private double room. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Elin and the other hosts were all so welcoming, kind and helpful. The breakfast was really good value for money, as were the pizzas (which were really tasty). The room was perfectly as described and nice and cosy. We really could not recommend this place anymore. We will definitely be back to Llanberis, we really enjoyed our stay :)))

Lovely place and team - we have been coming for years. Out of the main hubbub of llanberis and feels like a well kept secret. We can’t recommend it enough, lovely food - we love being able to pick the pizza, burger and salad toppings, you get exactly what you want with no fuss! Perfect, we wish more places would be like this. Just to top it all, the mains come with a free drink - superb! There are also vegan and veggie options if you need these. Always our first choice when we are in the area!

We were staying at the hostel as well and chose to have pizza here after we'd walked Snowden, to avoid having to trek much further once back at the hostel. It was exactly what we needed - great flavours and a good range of beer....

We were visiting the area for work,and were recommended Galt Y Glyn by our Air B&B host. We were so impressed from start to finish, the pizzas were incredible and fresh, as well as the amazing food the service that we received was incredible. We were looked after by all members of staff who were very attentive and friendly. A special thank you to our server,the bubbly lady with brown hair (so sorry we didn’t catch your name) she was professional,friendly,attentive and a joy to talk to.If we are in the area again we will definitely be visiting again! All we can say is make sure you go,unreal value for money & you’re missing out if you don’t!!

We’ve been before, and happily visited again. The building(s) are really quirky, and have been made more so by the COVID room dividers. Lovely pizza and chips, with some local beers to wag it all down. Very well priced. Much recommended.

We ate at Gallt y Glyn while on holiday near Caernarfon last week. Our waitress talked us through their covid safety measures and made us feel at ease before taking our order. The food itself was absolutely lovely, and a steal at the price! The pizzas were great and my son's said "this is the best pizza ever"! My husband had the minted lamb kebab which was served in a beautifully light and fluffy flatbread. They had a great selection of local beers too. I'd thououghly recommend a visit... we'll definitely be back!

We enjoying coming here so much that we may of ended up going two nights in a row... We enjoyed that there were so many options and you could customise your meal. The staff were lovely!

The staff and food here are so lovely. Me and my friend are here twice in a row because it was so nice and welcoming. One of the nicest pizzas I’ve had in a long time and SUCH good value for money, you get a free drink with your meal. We had burgers the second night and again these were delicious. Loads of options for veggies, meat eaters and vegans. Delicious food, followed Covid-19 rules really well and made everything comfortable for us. Could not recommend this place enough!

What an absolute gem of a find, if it wasn't for TripAdvisor I wouldn't even known this place was there, let alone have gone in. But thank goodness I did. I've eaten pizzas all over the world and can hand on my heart say I've found the best pizza in the world and it's in...North Wales, who knew. Charming place with excellent staff, service was great and the food was spectacular. My wife and daughter agreed. Choosing your own toppings is genius, I had what I knew I'd like and I was right, I liked it. Very reasonably priced as well. I'd go out of my way to come back here again! If you've just gone up Snowdon then there's no excuse, make a booking and come to this little gem!

We had a meal here on 12th August. The kids had a margarita pizza and we had an amazing lamb keebab. The staff were friendly and relaxed. They explained the new social distancing procedures clearly. The new screens between tables work well and the whole experience felt ‘safe’ and clean. The staff offered us a box to take the left over pizza home. We had a lovely evening and will return again soon. Diolch

We are regulars and last visited on Friday 21st February.What has gone wrong?The place was half empty and had no atmosphere.We arrived at 7:30 and ordered immediately as the grandchildren were hungry.The food eventually arrived 50 minutes later.The pizzas were of very poor quality and very doughy and uncooked in places.Sadly we will not be going again.

Good beer, good Pizza and clean, comfy bed and room. Had to ring them to say I was running late for a booking because of Friday evening traffic and they reserved a table for me. Highly recommended.

We checked into this property expecting it to be basic but hoping it would be at least clean . Check in is from 16:00 and we arrived at 15:56 the lady showing us to our room complained we were early and reminded us that checking was at 4 . Once at the room not only was it basic but dirty . Large clumps of dust and hair under the bed . Stains on the walls which I can only imagine what they were . This room cost £70 for one night out of season . We stopped 5 minutes just long enough to book the Royal Victoria hotel near by ( lovely stay) I were shocked how bad this place is after reading other reviews on here . Don’t risk it !

We have been here a few times now and I cannot fault it. Brilliant food, Pizza and a pint for us both for about £20 depending on toppings. The staff are so friendly, the food is amazing and to top it off this time they had the most amazing mince pies that we bought to take home and they disappeared in seconds... One of oue best finds in the area

Met with friends here who highly recommended pizza. They were right and pizza was fab. You can select pizza and as many toppings as you like on a tick box menu. It came in no time and tasted amazing. Hot and fresh crispy dough with a mountain of toppings. Couldn’t eat it all so had to take rest home. Staff were very friendly and provided us with a fabulous starter of nuts, sausage rolls and cheese which is probably why we couldn’t eat all of our pizza! Definitely will return. Lots more toppings to try.

Have visited this establishment a few times and it has always been good and it is a treat to eat here. Two of us called in for a spot to eat on Friday night and it was really busy. The front of house staff were welcoming and despite being full found us a table. Service was swift and cordial and the food served was pipping hot and fresh. The nacho starters are ideal to share between 2 and the pizzas were out of this word. Generous toppings and cooked to perfection. Reasonable prices and a relaxed setting. Brilliant visit. Thank you.

We'd prebooked a table for our running club, the night before the Snowdonia Marathon. The restaurant was packed with like minded crazy runners. The food was great, service was great and good price. We will back next year on 23rd October 2020.

This doesn’t look much from the outside but the pizzas are really good. Interesting concept for ordering food. Start with a £7.50 magharita pizza (this includes a glass of wine or pint of beer) and add toppings. Very reasonable and great food. Many other pasta, burger and salad options. Worth checking out if you like good value in relaxed eatery.

Visited here after a bike ride and were shown where we could take our bikes and eat outside as it was a nice day. We hadn’t booked but we turned up as they were just opening up at 5.45. Pizza was amazing right up there with the ones we’ve had in Italy!! Very reasonably priced food and drink.

Wow! After a long day which saw us waking up in a camping pod, attempting to climb Snowdon through wind and rain, nearly catching hyperthermia, having to book into a hotel, we were exhausted and in need of a well earnt meal and boy did we find what we were looking for! From the quirky ordering system, to the free beer with each meal, to the chilli honey (which might be the greatest invention I've heard of!) we enjoyed every inch of our meal, and what a view! We'll be back to tackle Snowdon again, and we'll be back for more pizza as well!

Went round to see what it was like well after the advertised opening time and it was still locked up, no sign no expiation, nothing. That’s pure ignorance.

Unser BnB lag in unmittelbarer Nähe, weshalb wir am ersten Abend in Llanberis das Gallt Y Glyn besuchten. Wir bestellten Pizza und Lammburger und es schmeckt es uns sehr gut. Wir waren am Ende des Abends vom Rechnungsbetrag überrascht, weil uns die Speisen erst doch Recht teuer vorkamen und wir dachten, es wären Getränke auf der Rechnung vergessen worden. Dann wurde uns jedoch erklärt, dass im Preis eines Gerichts ein Getränk inklusive ist, was die Betragshöhe in ein ganz anderes Licht warf... Weil es uns so gut schmeckte, die Bedienungen alle sehr nett waren, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmte und das Restaurant so nah an unserem BnB lag, besuchten wir an den beiden weiteren Abenden wieder das Gallt Y Glyn. Am Ende hatten wir drei Pizzen, einen Lammburger, einen Pie und eine Lasagne. Lediglich die Lasagne hat meinem Mann nicht geschmeckt - sie entsprach auch nicht der Größe, die wir aus Deutschland kennen (sehr klein und dafür noch mit Pommes, was wir schon ungewöhnlich fanden, ihr aber trotzdem eine Chance geben wollten). Alles andere war geschmacklich aber wirklich gut, weshalb wir das Gallt Y Glyn sehr gerne weiterempfehlen.

We were waiting outside for the place to open, three people pushed in the door in front of us and got a table, they then said we couldn't sit without a booking? But, the two behind us were able to sit without one too? seems like they pick and choose who they want to serve.

For a relaxed gathering of friends, this place is perfect. It is no frills, very much a place for hikers, climbers and outdoor types. But the thing that draws locals is not the accommodation but the food - and that food is PIZZA ! There are a wide range available, with order forms and pencils on the table. Choose your base, add your extra's and sides and then take to the bar and order, pay and return with your drink (guest ales available). The only downside, if in a large group (i.e. 4 or more) the pizza's, as they are cooked individually, come out in pairs. So if you all want to start eating at the same time, it's not going to work - but on the up side your pizza will be fresh and hot straight from the oven.

I got talked into climbing Snowdon by my sister and friends, this lovely hostel made the experience bearable!!

I visited here with my partner, my partners, my sister and brother in law and their children. We found that the restaurant was very child friendly and the service was really good. Pizzas came fairly quickly and tasted delicious. Prices were also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend visiting here if you are staying in Llanberis.

We booked a table for 8pm and (surprising for us) arrived slightly early. Pizzas are good plus a good selection of beer and a good hang out in llanberis. However, the pizza took an hour to arrive after ordering - a pretty long time considering the restaurant had a few free tables.

A party of 6 with 2 small children we enjoyed both pizza and pasta options accommodating all tastes and sizes. The pizzas were excellent with our 8 year old loving the opportunity to create her own. The setting is a little rough and ready, but clean and it serves its purpose well. The staff were very friendly and it’s perfect after a day of hill walking or exploring.

As a group of five we went here for an evening meal,we all chose a pizza which starts out as a margareta and then you add any amount of toppings of your choice,a little wait but well worth it for one of the best stonebaked pizzas, the price includes a drink of your choice! We also had deserts of ice cream and dough balls which you dip in chocolate sauce and then cinnamon sugar,lovely relaxed informal evening with a rustic vibe about it.would highly reccomend

We had the pizza of the week (butternut squash, feta, peppers) and a burger (in a home-made bun), which were perfect - pizza was so thin and crispy and full of flavour. We also spent the evening in one of the cosy yet modern rooms. Elin is a friendly and helpful hostess who made us feel at home. Would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel situated on the river in North Whales. Close enough to Bangor and Caernarfon where we went for dinner. Lady at reception very helpful and welcoming. Everything was very clean and well organised. Only thing we couldn’t get going was the heater (Appliances baffle me). Wish we were staying longer. Will return.

We were impressed with the quality and value here on a recent trip to Llanberis, so we ate here twice. Very quick service and very nice food. The first night we had a pizza and a pasta dish. A bowl of olives and a Greek salad. The second night we had garlic and cheese bread then the pie of the week, which was Steak and Ale. Both meals were excellent and good value.

My Sister and I have been visiting Gallt y Glyn for years and it’s an easy favourite for us both. Reasonable priced, delicious pizza, crispy chips, friendly staff and a chilled-out atmosphere. There is nothing not to like. I also work locally at a hospitality venue and if people are looking for recommendations, I always recommend Gallt y Glyn. Keep up the good work, diolch!

I have eaten here three in the past year and on TWO of those occasions the food took more than an hour to arrive. No apologies, no communication from staff until we went up and asked where our food was. It really should not take more than an hour to get a pizza and a salad out, something needs to be done to improve the efficiency of the kitchen staff.

Ate here twice on our 2 night stay. Very busy so I'd recommend booking. Food is fantastic and plentiful. Local beers are wonderful - as is the locally produced Blue Slate Gin. They very kindly sold us their last bottle so we could bring some home

My husband and I really enjoyed our pizza and pints at The Gallt y Glyn. We thought it was the best pizza we had during our 2 weeks in the UK. You build your own pizza with the ingredients you want, which we really liked. Our pizzas were great tasting and a great value. Very friendly staff as well! Highly recommended!

Fantastic....Super busy bar restaurant and hostel...food very locally sourced and empathic to tje area, beer locally craft brewed, lovely staff adding lots to the great atmosphere, and beautiful seriously well cooked food, pizza & burger, clearly organic with no pretensions whatsoever....bit blown away here,also with the prices, dirt cheap for 2 of us, can't recommend highly enough....really nice crowd there too....

What a great little place for a pint and dinner! Nice view overlooking Llanberis. New to us was filling out an order sheet and taking it to the bar! Free pint with dinner order! The lamb burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will go back if we pass that way again!

This is a great place for a down to earth meal and a short walk out of the town. The ordering is odd in that you have lists at the table and tick the toppings for your pizza or whatever else you would like - weird but great fun! The pizza was excellent, as was the garlic bread. Very reasonably priced too!
