The Galley in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Excellent fish and chips! In fact the best 'chip shop' chips we've had for a long time. Placed our order over the phone and simply walked down to collect it. Not greasy at all and absolutely delicious. We had cod, haddock and scampi, and all thoroughly enjoyed. Great service too.

Best fish and chips on the island not too greasy perfectly battered, chips crunchy and fluffy, pricing is reasonable. Not the cheapest on the island but certainly not the most Spenny, get what you pay for in terms of quality. Staff are friendly, GF options available, would highly recommend.

Great service and super quick. I’m celiac and I had a delicious dinner. Everything had its own utensils so no risk of cross contamination and sausages were cooked in a separate fryer. Highly recommend! Will be coming back for sure

Went here on a Friday expecting a huge queue. Was in and out in under 10 mins. Food good and staff friendly 👍🏻. Prices reasonable too.

The food is very greasy esp the pizzas where the meat has an odd taste, the dough was soggy & definitely not homemade as advertised. The chicken nuggets are very dry & the meat is overly processed, there are much better options on St Mary's - the food truck is much better. I think that they are just popular because people don't have a choice as they're always open unlike other places on the island. Wasn't expecting anything amazing but do expect basic edible quality of food which this unfortunately isn't.

Wonderful takeaway fish and chips tonight as always. Enjoyed some fantastic food from the Galley this winter.

A new season and yet another magnificent meal at The Galley. Pan fried sea bream and risotto fantastic. Make sure you’re hungry this not nouvelle cuisine it is good hearty fill you up food perfectly cooked and served in a friendly non pretentious Scillonian way.

I thought this was going to be a ship. It's called the galley, and it's just a boring old building. I was kind of disappointed to find this out. Food is ok.

First class food and first class service. Top marks for everything. Dining at The Galley is a wonderful experience. I would thoroughly recommend anyone visiting the Isles of Scilly to go to The Galley as there is no other restaurant in St. Mary's that offers food of such a high quality and tastes so good.It is in a class of it's own.
