Nice breakfast place with great coffee!

Stopped off here as it looked cosy and relaxed - a place that I knew did breakfast from searching on Google. It did not disappoint - the breakfast tea was perfect, and the 'Front Room full english' was what I needed. Eggs of choice - I chose scrambled egg and really enjoyed it. I probably would have my sausage a little less crispy, although the bacon was crispily perfect. And I do like an full English with a choice of black pudding... These two things brought it down one star. I also struggled to decide what to eat because everything on the menu looked great.. from full English to smashed avocado on toast with eggs, to eggs Benedict (mmmmmm!!). But the main reason I would go again is down to the service. From one of the servers noting I was browsing on my mobile and directing me to the free WiFi password location, to how they tentatively dealt with my requests and ensured I had what I needed - they could do no wrong!!! A great place to eat with amazing service. Well done!

First time visit (for me) - went with my mate. What a delightful place! The food was delicious, the space was lovely and the service was utterly brilliant. We had a very leisurely brunch, were last to leave and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

Este es un encantador café de barrio, con personal amable y buena comida (su café es de primera categoría, y viajaría por su holandesa que acompaña a los deliciosos huevos florentinos / Benedict etc) . Ellos también están muy bien informados sobre los alérgenos, consultando con el chef acerca de las salchichas después de que yo había pedido gluten - pan gratis - que no había pensado hacer. El servicio puede ser lento, pero si estás buscando un ambiente relajado, es el mejor lugar en la zona.

went with my friend, i got vegetarian breakfast and cappuccino, and friend got eggs royale and black americano. food and coffee was delicious, but it felt a little overpriced for not a particularly large portion. we also sadly took over half an hour to be served, despite asking the servers twice - but food quality was worth the wait and overall a very pleasant visit

This is the cosiest, most wholesome neighbourhood cafe. I’ve been coming here since I moved in April 24 and it continues to be a staple of my week. It’s a great place to gather with friends, work remotely (they have wifi and good coffee), or just to have your broody moment reading a good book and watching passerbys. I love their full English and any of the paninis. Everything is well worth the price, and you can’t go wrong with any of the options!

Such an Amazing Place Lovely Staff, Enjoyed the atmosphere immensely!

Our first at The Front Room Cafe. We came in during afternoon hours for a quick coffee break. We enjoyed lovely flatwhites, the atmosphere, and most importantly, a pleasant service. This quick visit gave us a solid first impression, and we will definitely soon return for a meal.

I was really impressed by this cafe, chosen randomly on our way home. Excellent full English, a delicious special for lunch (very imaginative combo of avocado, halloumi, hummus in a wrap with salad and sweet potatoes fries) and a decent sized, reasonable priced pot of tea. And lovely staff too.

Fantastic chill place, great hand-made food and lovely staff - a great place for a great brekkie.

We visited here a bit by accident as several other local cafes were closed, but glad to have found it. I had The Tollington which was a really generous portion of Smoked Salmon, lovely fluffy eggs & Toast. Husband had the full breakfast which was all fresh & hot. Friendly service & cosy atmosphere

Great place for vegetarians and vegans. There are plenty of options for breakfast and lunch. It is not a place to study but is the perfect place to sit, enjoy a coffee with a pastry while you swipe your phone, read or talk to a friend. Very lovely and well attended. Thank you!!

This cafe is so sweet! I used to meet a friend here a lot a few years ago. I went recently with a friend, and ordered the vegan sandwich. The service was lovely, and the guy who took our order was very sweet and helpful. However, the sandwiches were quite small for around £6, and not a super exciting filling. I know hummus and veg is normal for a vegan sandwich but I did think it'd be sizable at least. The atmosphere is lovely, and it's on a fab road. Just portion size was tight, so that let it down.

We had a selection of coffees. Great coffee, great staff, great atmosphere. It was 1C outside and warm and comfortable inside. Really enjoyed my visit. A million times more rewarding than a chain coffee place.

I’d liked to have said we visited in October but in fact we didn’t in the end. Having looked for somewhere great to meet for an early breakfast today the 29th of October, with one of us coming from Welwyn Garden City and the other one from Old Street i did my research, visited the website, loved the tone of everything they were doing and settled on The Front Room. We both came all that way….. met outside at 8.15, the business clearly not even vaguely ready to serve anyone, despite an advertised opening of 8.00, shutter half down and all the furniture stacked up inside. So disappointing and frustrating……

Was disappointed with the food. The service was lovely but the egg Royale at £12 was terrible. An extremely pale chunk of salmon on top of a muffin with a snotty egg and cheap McDonald's muffins. No dressing and actually gave my bf food poisoning.

Front room Cafe has been my favourite breakfast spot in London for many years. The all day full English is divine, the service is excellent, with friendly staff. On the weekends the cafe is buzzing/busy but still maintains a perfect setting for catching up with friends. But I am writing this review because Front room cafe has now climbed to my favourite breakfast spot of all time (climbing above the whistlestop cafe in Woodbridge)!! This is because of their new smoothie menu, which is next level! I cannot recommend highly enough, I must have been 20+ times and I look forward to another 20+ !

An excellent cafe, great vibe and delicious food. I had a salmon salad, large portions, poached eggs are a little cooked, I also had their yummy wedges. Slightly sad that the goats cheese salad has left the menu. Really good customer service! S

Highly recommend if your in the Frinsbury park area. The location is easy to find and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The staff is so friendly and fun. I went here for a catch up with a friend and had the breakfast with a Groovy green smoothie. The presentation was lovely and delicious. This is now one of my favourite places to go to if I'm nearby.

Friendly staff, great paninis and smoothies

Since I moved to the area in June 2021 this has to be the best cafe that I've been to so far and belive me I've tried quite a few in the area. It was quite busy when I arrived but if you do not mind waiting then it's worth the wait for the food that you order. I kept it simple with a simple ham and cheese toasted sandwich and a side order of sweet potato fries and oh boy it was worth the wait. The ham and cheese had plenty of flavour and included in the sandwich was a little bit of salad as well. As for the sweet potato fries, they were melt in your mouth moments with just the right amount of salt sprinkled on them and they came with a glass pot of tasty mayo to dip the fries into and all washed down with a lovely cup of coffee. The cafe had a lovely vibe about it and you could tell that they also had a fair share of I'm guessing local returning customers who were on 1st name terms with the staff. I went there around lunchtime and was given a lunch menu of which included all kinds of savoury treats but I'm led to believe that they also have a breakfast menu as well if which includes different kinds of a full English and also a veggie full English. In general a great little find that will definitely be on my to return to list.

I like to try out breakfasts in the local area and today we tried the front room cafe. Plus points, the staff were friendly and the cafe was spacious. Nice veggie breakfast and poached eggs with toast. The cafe wasnt busy so we had space to ourselves. However no staff had masks on and this made me uncomfortable. There was alot of banter between staff and some regulars and I found them too loud which made the place feel less cosy.

Ordered acocado toast with an egg which was very tasty (though the toast was a little burnt) and a tropical smoothie which I have been yearning for ever since! My girlfriend and I were walk-ins around 11.30am. All seats were taken outside but we were one of two pairs inside. It became a lot busier after we were served. Our waiter was very sweet and well-mannered! He was so kind giving us time to order. We also had a female checking up on us. Our only complaint was that they forgot to bring us tap water so we had to ask again, but the food and drink and the staff more than made up for it! Thank you, Front Room!

A sweet, cheerful cafe with outdoor seating. Nice home-style food. Perhaps we went at the wrong time (2pm on a weekday) but the understaffing was apparent with all available outdoor tables covered in dishes. We waited about 25 mins at a dirty table, and were left a bit nervous about covid cleanliness. But the wait was worth getting such a perfect Eggs Benedict, and delicious cheeseburger. I overheard someone saying they thought there would be other things in their salad (customer misread the description), and the chef patiently explained then remade it just how they wanted. I thought that was pretty nice of him!

Good coffee, but not sure why the staff have to shout at each other when they are talking. It really damages what could be a lovely cafe experience and doesn’t make me want to return.

Always amazing, the best staff who put in so much effort, produce the best food and make you feel so welcome - they all deserve a raise!
