One of my favourite places! One of the best in Crouch End .

Love the calm. And no one rushes. Cathartic. The team is wonderful. I am a BIG fan.

Food is terrible, did not eat it. Rice looked days old and like they saved up leftovers to recycle. Barely any meat in it, and lukewarm. Not going there anymore. Used to be really hot and fresh but now they don't care. Waste of money.

Have eaten Indian food in many places but this is the best have been coming hear for over 30 years

Probably the best tarka dhal in north London. Good prices. Good biriyanis. Good home delivery. I have been eating there for 20 years and it a safe bet for a good dinner.

A regular here, often bringing friends here to enjoy the dishes too. Started with poppadoms with all the accompliments, then with a trio of samosas, followed by chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, pilau rice and garlic chicken with spinach. Always tasty and delicious, only gripe was, the chicken pieces in the tikka masala had reduced in size significantly. (I had the exact dish a fortnight ago). Staff are always pleasant and respectful. Would definitely visit again. Take away available. No disabled toilets though.

We saw a film with an Indian theme so we had to have an Indian meal to follow. This restaurant was conveniently so close to the cinema. We received a warm welcome and quickly were enjoying superb toasted poppadoms. Afterwards our main course arrived which was very delicious. The lamb and chicken were very tasty and tender as was the Okra. The price was also very reasonable for the wonderful dining experience and great service. I cannot recommend enough and would suggest visiting this restaurant rather than having a home delivery as it will be a real treat for you all. Parking is never a problem in my experience.

Consistently delicious food, and very friendly staff. The chicken shooka is especially good. Very welcoming to small children too, though you might have to bring your own high chair or manage without.

The very worst Indian meal we’ve ever had. Dreadful. We don’t know what’s happened here. This place used to be great. It’s now awful. Stale poppadoms , stale onion bhajis, overcooked tasteless chicken and beef curries. We ate two mouthfuls and left with a “takeaway” which we placed straight into the bin. Never again. So sad that this has happened.

Service slow, inattentive and inefficient - and staff didn’t seem too fussed about, well, anything. Food incredibly slow to arrive despite being quiet - asked twice when it was coming. Had to ask twice for drinks, starters came out twice (only ordered once). Other tables frustrated at slow pace that food arrived. Food fine but service and not too cheap price point does make this place highly questionable for a return visit. Edit addition: this place was NOT short staffed. The staff were inattentive and inefficient.

The naan was burnt, the curry didn't taste good and the portion was small. Not to mention that the service was extremely slow

I'm sure their food is good, but the service is inattentive and incredibly slow. After waiting 30 minutes for someone to take our order, while the servers were chatting by the bar, we walked out, and nobody noticed. The place was half full. Not a good experience.

A very good local curry house that has been in Crouch End for many years

I visited the Meghna Tandoori and enjoyed papdams with generous helpings of chutney and raiti. The mains we had recommendation of the tandoori prawns which were exceptional as was the rest lamb rogan josh, chicken shooka, vegetable curry, lentil dahl and Chana Masala - the side dishes are so reasonably priced. The waiters were delightful and funny with it and very knowledgeable. There was a wait which I was glad of as the food was freshly cooked. The dishes were all very clean and not oily at all. This will become my go to place - really fantastic night, no alcohol beer was delicious as well. They have a food hygiene rating of 5.

As another reviewer noted on Google reviews the food is bland, sitting in a dead sauce, chicken was completely undercooked. Awake all night after eating it. Seems its just reheated - maybe multiple times- there is no flavour. Unfortunately the one next door to Meghna is the same. When will we get a decent Indian restaurant in Crouch End.

What a mistake ordering from this place terrible food. Chicken curry huge cunks of chicken in a cold sloppy watery red sauce bland and tasteless, aubergine curry so salty and tasteless and swimming in oil, naan bread was sweet and sugery not sure why. Never again

Extensive menu, well priced food. Great local for eating out. For delivery, best to call the restaurant and order direct by phone , rather than via the link on website which takes you to an external delivery app which were slow. The service always good- the manager responsive to customers needs and requirements

The best old school curry joint in Crouch End. I doubt the decor has changed since they first open the doors in the eighties, but sometimes a damn good no frills Indian meal is all you need! My partner is in love with the Murgh Pista. I recommend the Paneer Shashlik.

Absolutely awful! Dont waste your money at this place! Me and my other half went for the Sunday buffet, and we both couldn't believe at how bad the food and the service was. The waiter didnt say a word to us from arrival to finish. The food was disgusting, bland and cold. We should of known it was going to be bad from the start, it was the only place on the Broadway which wasnt busy with customers. Wont be returning!

Terrible prawn curry..in sloppy red liquid which had no flavour except for overhot chlli..tarka dahl was not fresh. Theyve made no effort to cook properly and its a piss take on the goodwill of their customers Amazed it survives in Crouch End...I ve had better in provincial takeaways.

Been a fav of ours for years. Great service, great local curry house. The staff are lovely and the food is fresh and delicious. The ideal Friday night ruby murray... you can't beat it for homely comfort. x

My partner and I went here this evening, the food was great, I had a vegetable balti, and a tarka dahl side dish - both really delicious and the right amount of spicy for me. Staff member who served us was really attentive and friendly. The prices were cheap for London, really good value. Naan bread was the best I've had for ages, crispy and delicious. Can't fault the place, will definetly be back!

This is a regular place for us and of the 50+ times we have visited, we’ve never had a bad experience. The food is delicious, service excellent and the price unbelievable! I’m mildly obsessed with this place and would go multiple times a week if my husband let me!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! Tried it last night and i was absolutely shocked. We had tandoori chicken, a couple curries and veg dishes. ALL extremely bland and and tasted like a micro meal. The veg dishes were also awful and literally tasted like some had dropped a raw peice of cauliflower in curry gravy.

Been there many many times and never once had a bad mean ... average at 15 a head for a meal and soft drinks and on Sunday they do a £6.95 buffet that not bad either. only problem is tht on weekends it gets packed, so service may get slow

Slow service (1hour to get your food) biryani was plain. I cannot recommend enough to avoid it

What a hidden gem!!! Absolutely excellent in every way. Food, decoration, service and ambience were 10/10. I can't find a fault even if I wanted to and the after 8 chocolate treat made the cheap bill feel even cheaper. The tandoori chicken came sizzling hot with peppers beautifully presented in what felt like our own private booth. Value for money here is brilliant whilst the quality of the food remains very very good. Cannot recommend enough.. please don't let the outside (might look small and dated) fool you this place is amazing. Most definitely coming back here. Thanks all involved.

The place needs a refurb but the food was great and the staff were really friendly, helpful and that's the main thing. I'll be back.

Great food and traditional atmosphere

We have been going to this Indian Restaurant for years and it's terrific. Sometimes you may have to wait a little longer if they are busy but it just adds to the experience. The food is very good, the wine and beer are cheaper than in the pub across the road and the staff are extremely friendly. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

Peshwari naan was really tasty. The sauces lacked flavour and were quite thick also would be good to de-shell the prawns fully for the prawn korma as opposed to leaving the tails on.

I politely called this restaurant to see if they can make modifications to some of the vegetarian dishes to make them vegan and they laughed at me when I explained that I do not eat. Milk, butter, dairy, eggs, ghee etc. Just plain out rude, there is no need for the judgment.

i ate there last night with a friend, and am still full, i can't believe how big the portions where! we didn't order anything special, but all that we did order was tasty and freshly cooked. service was sweet too, and not overbearing. i also thought it was good value,

3 meals ordered with starters. Samosas were bland. 2 of us found our main meals tasteless. I ate a small amount of my main. The tarka dahl a Indian basic was awful. My main which was apparently a speciality was tasteless. Really disappointing. The only nice thing was the papadums and pickles which doesn't say much about the quality of food. The icing on the cake was my husband saying to take 25 on each card. The bill had come to 42 odd. Having recently changed cards he could not remember his number. So I handed my debit card saying I would pay the bill. With the intention of paying the 42odd on my card and leaving a tip in cash. The guy put 50 down presuming I was tipping on my card which I was not. I didn't realise till I got receipt. Not happy. Rubbish meal out and will not ever eat there again. Really disappointing. Mum visited for an evening out to visit us from Derby..what a let down.

Three generations of my family have been customers at this restaurant for at least 25 years. Last week my daughter and I we were refused service and told by the waiter to leave because we did not both want to order a main course, my young lady is a vegetarian and only as side dishes. As the manager was not there to make a complaint to I returned later and only received a 'limp' apology from him even though he knew me from the 100's of visits and deliveries my family has made over the years. I am absolutely disgusted!

I had a good time there. The service was decent. The food was good. We ordered a variety of dishes and I couldn't make a complaint about a single one, even if I wanted to! It's a good place for a meal before going to the picture house across the road.

Surprised by the bad reviews! Food was absolutely delicious. Starter for 2 was a great portion, tasted amazing and wasn't greasy. Mains were fantastic as well. Paid £40 for both of us with starter, rice, mains, additional side dish, 2 beers and a drink. And service wasn't in your face or annoying. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended.

The most rubbish food ever. Dishes dont even taste remotely like Indian or anyway near that region. Staff not at all apologetic. Wouldn’t recommend it at all. Doesn’t deserve any stars.

Very disappointing my kebab starter very bland, mango chicken was more coconut then mango, waiter exchanged for chicken curry and asked if I wanted my original plate which had 'mango chicken ' and rice on or a fresh plate. My friends samosas were cold in middle, Channa again bland and season less, paneer dish again was very coconut tasting. When asked for Manager was given 3 different times he would be in. Will not recommend this place .

Went here for a birthday dinner.Rang in advance and told them our party number,including a 1yr old toddler. One particular staff was extremely rude,having the nerve to tell a 1yr old to stop screaming.Always with a scowl on his face when he passed our table. Place was cosy and small.Food was ok.

Great value Bangladeshi restaurant in the heart of Crouch End. Friendly staff and some nice, fresh, tasty dishes. Good atmosphere on the Saturday night we went there. There was just enough room for us.

I am very displeased as I always order from Meghna. They always turn up an hour late, their customer service when explaining faults or errors with orders is dreadful and the lack of management is haunting. They have nice food, tasty, but I have decided from now on to move on from ordering from them again and I shall notify friends and family about this also. I've always been in a good mood to say "ah well, next time they'll be fine", won't be a next time. Absolutely horrid and I will not advise no one to order unless you want less of what you ordered, very late delivery, and also the audacity for the workers to not take or handle criticism/feedback.

No soy un experto en comida de la india, pero realmente disfruté comiendo aquí. Cebolla bhajis eran claros y no demasiado grasiento. Pollo y cordero con carne sabrosa eran baltis bien preparado. El pan Naan fue probablemente la más ligera que he tenido. El servicio era bueno.

went to this restaurant on a Monday night , one other party of diners in there . hence not busy. It took nearly an hour for the food to arrive , i ordered the Chicken Korma . the sauce was hot and the chicken cubes were half frozen .I asked for my bill straight away and the waiter said that I wouldn't be charged for the main course.. That was big of him. Total disgrace . I woill never go back there again. BAD BAD BAD!!!

I've been to this restaurant with my friend and my wife..we order spinach paneer , tarka dal ,lamb curry, seekh kebab , paneer tikka masala and some naans and rice..the order taker was old and very slow (no offence ).very hard to make him understand ...after waiting for ages our food cane out..

Ottimo ristorante pulito e con personale gentile e disponibile a spiegare il contenuto dei vari piatti.Scelta vasta e varia anche per chi non ama il piccante e per i veg.Prezzo decisamente onesto. 6 piatti con porzioni abbondanti e quattro bottiglie di birra e acqua circa 60 sterline.

Not a lot I can say on this place to be honest. I am pretty fussy and I am known to be quite discerning and have to say this place is great. We struggle to choose between this place and the place two doors down.I enjoy Indian food and have had a lot of bad and good meals in London.This beats any Brick lane establishment hands down. Really good food, nicely presented. Great service and great environment. Never had a problem here and love to visit. The prices are excellent as well.10/10

The food was reasonable although my main course was lacking depth of flavour, just hot. Starters fine. Service a little slow and a little unfriendly. Tried 3 times to retrieve pickles which we wanted for main course via 3 different waiters. No chance, we paid for them! Food reasonably priced. tables a bit close together so you have to hope you are not next to a loud table.

I thoroughly enjoy eating in and taking away food from Meghna. The staff are always lovely as is the food!

This restaurant has been in Crouch End for many years and, like many, it has suffered bad patches when a change of chef or waiting staff has caused teething problems. But generally speaking, it's your usual Indian fare. They are very accommodating and will cook a dish that's not on the menu, which is great as we're vegetarians and like to try massalas, pathias, shashlick and kormas but without the meat. They do a great paneer shashlick - cheese, peppers, onions and tomatoes cooked on a skewer in the tandoor. Beware, here they make the dhal with chillies - great if you like it hot, a bit of a surprise the first time the kids tried it! The main staff / owners are very nice and friendly.

On a precious child-free summer evening, we popped into the Meghna. We ordered drinks. And we watched table after table complain about their food taking more than an hour to arrive. One man paid half his bill at the end and refused to pay the other half. Two tables just got up and walked out. We waited almost one and half hours at our cramped table. Every time we asked how long our food with me, they said, 'just a minute'. We watched the time to go and see a film come and go. Still no food. And when it eventually came, it wasn't great. A couple of months later, we decided to give the Meghna a second chance. Maybe it had been a bad night. This time we waited two hours for food to arrive. Tables walked out again. By then it was too late to go anywhere else, so we just had to sit there or not eat. Every time we asked where our food was, they'd shrug. They avoided our table. They didn't offer a free drink. We asked them why they hadn't told us it would take hours to get our food. They just grinned and shrugged. Eventually they told us they had a lot of takeaway orders. Two visits. Appalling service both times. Mediocre food. Never again.
