Meghna in Haringey

Onion bhaji were huge so crispy outside but stodgy lump inside. All food was very mild with little spicing. The bhuna was particularly bland.

Delicious as always. Meghna has been here for years, best Indian in N8 and beyond.

nothing delivery to my home yet I had been wait for over near 2 hours

Ordered food at 5.40pm……it finally arrived 7.55pm. Not even a pappadam to say sorry! Sadly will not be using The Meghna again.

We ordered a delivery meal and were very satisfied with the taste, quality and quantity of the portions too. We will re-order or visit the restaurant soon.

I called the restaurant and was told that the driver had left and checking on the satnav he should have been 4 mins but he still took 15 minutes. The nan bread was not cooked properly, very doughy and sticky.

Food is terrible, did not eat it. Rice looked days old and like they saved up leftovers to recycle. Barely any meat in it, and lukewarm. Not going there anymore. Used to be really hot and fresh but now they don't care. Waste of money.

Shocking…should have been delivered at 19.10-19.30..complained. Then got told it would be 8pm. It’s 8.30pm an no food!! Just really poor service and no help when you calm them.

Probably the best tarka dhal in north London. Good prices. Good biriyanis. Good home delivery. I have been eating there for 20 years and it a safe bet for a good dinner.

A regular here, often bringing friends here to enjoy the dishes too. Started with poppadoms with all the accompliments, then with a trio of samosas, followed by chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, pilau rice and garlic chicken with spinach. Always tasty and delicious, only gripe was, the chicken pieces in the tikka masala had reduced in size significantly. (I had the exact dish a fortnight ago). Staff are always pleasant and respectful. Would definitely visit again. Take away available. No disabled toilets though.

We saw a film with an Indian theme so we had to have an Indian meal to follow. This restaurant was conveniently so close to the cinema. We received a warm welcome and quickly were enjoying superb toasted poppadoms. Afterwards our main course arrived which was very delicious. The lamb and chicken were very tasty and tender as was the Okra. The price was also very reasonable for the wonderful dining experience and great service. I cannot recommend enough and would suggest visiting this restaurant rather than having a home delivery as it will be a real treat for you all. Parking is never a problem in my experience.

Still the best in the area. Sit-down restaurant quality food at prices no more expensive than your typical basic only takeaway outlet. Recommended.

Excellent food , generous portions, arrived earlier than expected

Consistently delicious food, and very friendly staff. The chicken shooka is especially good. Very welcoming to small children too, though you might have to bring your own high chair or manage without.

It was my first order, the balti was delicious, lamb in Briyani tender could have had a bit more spice although that's just personal preference. Tasty food will order again.

The very worst Indian meal we’ve ever had. Dreadful. We don’t know what’s happened here. This place used to be great. It’s now awful. Stale poppadoms , stale onion bhajis, overcooked tasteless chicken and beef curries. We ate two mouthfuls and left with a “takeaway” which we placed straight into the bin. Never again. So sad that this has happened.

What a tasty meal, lamb was very tender and the garlic chili chicken was delicious. Definitely ordering from them next time I fancy a curry.

Very disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for delivery. When it arrived half the items were missing. We are still awaiting a refund for the missing items.

We’re lucky to have a great selection of Bangladeshi curry houses in Crouch End and Meghna is definitely one of them.

Having eaten at the restaurant a few times, we were expecting good quality food. The food was very average and having spent over £60, we are very disappointed. The food arrived 2 hours later than the order time. The chicken tikka dishes were like boiled chicken, the vegetable rice dishes were cold, with hardly any vegetables in them and the food in general seemed as though it was reheated from the night before. The peshwari naan breads had the smallest amount of coconut in them. Very disappointing!

We had a good takeaway from here, the set menu. We collected for a further discount. It was tasty and fresh.

Chicken in the main dish had a slimey texture, not as good quality as it used to be. Naan was wet. Bhajis crumbled apart.

Pros: Food was decent and well cooked. Cons: Late, but it is cheeky Tuesday so they are probably busier than usual.

Used to go years ago when the kids were about 10 and 13. Celebrated my son's 50th there today. Brilliant service and food as always super yummie.

Always decent food from this place, always decent spice levels,no messing around being too weak, portions never small, authentic and the restaurant has been in the same place since the mid 80s, its a proper family run,authentic,traditional indian resturant, the fact that its stood the test of time through the credit crisis and the covid lock down really tells you all that you need to know when deciding if this resturant is worth trying. Asian food is something im very very familiar with and the meghna tandori was the first indian restaurant in crouch end that ate from.indidnt bother with the rest because frankly I didn't need to

Service slow, inattentive and inefficient - and staff didn’t seem too fussed about, well, anything. Food incredibly slow to arrive despite being quiet - asked twice when it was coming. Had to ask twice for drinks, starters came out twice (only ordered once). Other tables frustrated at slow pace that food arrived. Food fine but service and not too cheap price point does make this place highly questionable for a return visit. Edit addition: this place was NOT short staffed. The staff were inattentive and inefficient.

It was my first time ordering from this restaurant. The delivery was an hour late but when it did arrive, it made me forget about that. Driver was apologetic about the lateness and the food delicious. Also, my special instructions were met, which often does not happen. I will definitely be ordering from The Meghna Tandoori again

The food here is of restaurant quality. It may be because this is an actual restaurant, not the usual take-out only shop, so what they send to you is what they serve to their sit down customers. I’ve tried virtually every curry place in the area, and this is certainly the best quality delivered curry I’ve had, at competitive prices, delivery within the specified time, and no scrimping on portion sizes.

honestly the worst chicken tikka masala i have ever had - even the pilau rice was wrong - it was just white rice - soggy naan - so disappointed

The naan was burnt, the curry didn't taste good and the portion was small. Not to mention that the service was extremely slow

I'm sure their food is good, but the service is inattentive and incredibly slow. After waiting 30 minutes for someone to take our order, while the servers were chatting by the bar, we walked out, and nobody noticed. The place was half full. Not a good experience.

A very good local curry house that has been in Crouch End for many years

I visited the Meghna Tandoori and enjoyed papdams with generous helpings of chutney and raiti. The mains we had recommendation of the tandoori prawns which were exceptional as was the rest lamb rogan josh, chicken shooka, vegetable curry, lentil dahl and Chana Masala - the side dishes are so reasonably priced. The waiters were delightful and funny with it and very knowledgeable. There was a wait which I was glad of as the food was freshly cooked. The dishes were all very clean and not oily at all. This will become my go to place - really fantastic night, no alcohol beer was delicious as well. They have a food hygiene rating of 5.
