We work next door so always come in late almost for last orders, Shannon normally serves us and she's always really friendly. Great selection of drinks. Wicked lady rose is decent. Always clean inside, but like I said we always show up at the end of the day. Whole team seem friendly. Would recommend, much better than accross the road at Spouters.

Went to Wood Green for the first time this evening on our way to the nearby firework display. Decided to drop into the Nags head for something to eat. The pub was pretty much full when we arrived and we ordered our food .I explained to one of the girls Natalia who was running around non stop that we had limited time . She chased our order up and we got it very quickly. The food was delicious! She went to the trouble of running our drinks to the table and checked we were happy. Even took the time to say thank-you and goodbye to us on the way out .Amazing service in a busy pub with few members of staff . Thanks to Natalia we will definitely visit again! Last night I popped into the Nag’s Head for drink and quick dinner before going to the fireworks at Ally Pally. I received great service from Natalia! Even though the place was super busy she took the time to explain clearly about all the possible different allergens etc when I ordered my food. She was extremely friendly, smily and happy and I would definitely recommend a visit!

Great clean friendly place with lovely hot well cooked food served (not burnt )& drink at competitive prices better than JD's across the road.

After finishing work today I decided to meet a friend in Wood Green to see a film at the local cinema. I decided to meet my friend in the Nags Head for a quick drink before the movie. As I got there a bit early I went to the Sainsbury’s across the road first to get a bottle of water to take into the movie. I got a second one for my friend. On arriving at the pub a team of door staff (about 5 uniformed men) were all standing menacingly outside the main entrance giving the pub all the welcoming charm of Pentonville Prison. One of the men asked to search my shopping bag - something I’m very used to living in London. It took him about two seconds to see that all it contained were the two bottles of water that I had purchased from Sainsbury’s. He was about to wave me through when a second older man interjected and suddenly stated “you have a lot of drink there, we can’t let you in!” Yes two small bottles of water constitutes a “lot of drink”. At first I thought he was joking but to my utter amazement he was being deadly serious! I told him and demonstrated that the two bottles were sealed water drinks for later but apparently they posed a huge deadly threat to the safety of the pub and its customers! So my drinks at the pub ended before they began and I took my custom and money to another pub where it was welcomed. I have visited the Nags Head in Wood Green regularly over the years but thanks to this moronic door policy I am now an ex customer.

Great pub. I visited here years ago(not sure how it is now) and had a great night out. Chelsea football was on and it was live in there. I always had a cold pint ready for me!

The bar staff are amazingly friendly. Also security on the door were professional, very welcoming and made us feel safe. Best place to watch football.

Been in here a few times now when working up here,went in last week and was greeted at the bar by Shannon,very friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable (especially about tequila)good beer and equally good food....great if you want to watch sport!would highly recommend

Visited here for the first time ever and was meet with some lovely staff behind the bar. Mercedes was a star in advising in drink choice. Downloaded the MIxr App which helped me save some money on bill for the next time visit or in other pubs. Fab!!

This refurbisehd pub opposite Wood Green Underground is a great place to have lunch. Their cheese and bacon burger and chips is delish!

Decent pub with good food. Has a small outside garden in the back as well as a pool table and darts. Standard price for drinks and food. I like the option to order online. Service was okay. Couldn't say anything about the atmosphere as I went there during the day. I've been here many times over the decades and apart from the management changes, the interior is nicer than it used to be. The smell is the same though!

2 stars for service because at least the bar staff were understanding and kind. This pub served me real chicken katsu after I very specifically and carefully asked for vegan chicken katsu. After tasting, I went up to the counter to check it was vegan and the staff were adamant they had told the chef it must be vegan. I went back to my table and continued eating but was feeling so off about the texture. My meat eating boyfriend tested it and was sure it was real chicken. Went back to bar and lovely bar tender woman checked it and said it was definitely real chicken. She was amazing- furious for me, and very sympathetic to my situation as I've been vegetarian for almost 10 years and feel deeply about my food choices. Refunded in full and offered free drinks for the rest of the night. However, I cannot recommend this pub or return here, as the chef refused to admit his mistake and insisted it was vegan chicken. Refused to apologise to me and never made an appearance. Not impressed by this. Vegans beware... Kudos to the bar staff for being so understanding though.

Visited on a February afternoon and quite enjoyed it. On an April evening I returned to find 3 bouncers outside of an almost empty pub. I'm in my 60s, one friend is in his 50s and the second in his 70s. They wouldn't let us in unless we queued up - we were the only ones there - and submitted to body searches. Needless to say we didn't bother going in, nor ever will again.

Probably the worst unprofessional service in history. Waited for breakfast more then 50 min this morning. Rude and very distracted blond manager instead to apologize sad we been informed the food might be slightly delayed which we wasn't. Despite that soon came out our order was not send at all. If I ask for refund blond lady was no too happy. She was unable to refund me by original way of pay which was a card. I agreed to get cash which to produce take another 10 minutes while she left the till 2 x looking like absolutely confused. Still talking and trying to get out for the responsibility of all this mess what happened and put the blame on everything and everyone just not her. This person was so rude and ridiculous I wander how she can work in hospitality with this kind of attitude.So ridiculous so rude childish and unprofessional. Whole place and stuff look like they missing knowledge and a will to provide exceptional customer service.is run by manage who fails answer basic questions about menu she do not let customer speak and don't know how her system in a till works Long time I didn't have such a horrible experience in London pub which this time in sa morning was not busy at all. Please avoid this place and avoid this worthless untrained unable and unskilled blond manager in all costs. No sorry was sad only rude world and made up excuses from her side. Shame such a nice place this use to be with great food and drink. Definitely not coming back anytime soon.

This is literally the baddest I've ever been treated in any venue in London. I can't believe how rude the bar staff are. It truly is a shock. I can't have a nice time whilst around horrible ppl. I certainly have no plans to return.

I had my birthday last night 17/02/24 at this pub the staff were amazing the dj was great and the security guards were brilliant the manager was so nice and she was so helpful i didn't get her name but a big thank you for making a birthday special

This pub stands out as one of the finest in the area. I visited with friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food was excellent, but what truly set it apart was the exceptional customer service. The staff, particularly Mercedes, went above and beyond during our busy visit, ensuring our experience was top-notch. Mercedes deserves special recognition for her outstanding service.

Really big and open pub gives it great atmosphere on a Friday night. Quick service at the bar and a frozen Heineken glass, yes please. Great mac’n cheese burger and really good prices too. 5* all around

You have on the menu “ aperol spritz “ but unfortunately your staff is not willing to do that just because it takes time ,really?!? So we should have some beer 🍺 even if we don’t want that. Shame on you guys 👎👎👎 P.S also have to wait more than 20 minutes until someone serves us👎

Great night in this lovely pub, Barbara, Natalia and all the staff were amazing even though it was very busy. Ordered a few nibbles and these were delicious. Great atmosphere with DJ playing awesome tunes. Will be back!

We had a lovely time here. We played pool on one of their 2 tables at £1.50 a pop and it takes debit cards. A lovely big spacious pub with loads of windows. A nice beer garden too. Toilets a ok. 👌

Bar was good but the dj isn’t good. I saw everyone giving there music to play and he wasn’t listening. Worst dj ever, hopefully they fix the music.

Nice bar for watching sport or playing pool, the drink prices are more on a Friday and Saturday as they have a dj

Second worse service I've ever received. Could have a toddler doing random actions and they'd still be more competent than the bar staff. Never seen someone take 30mins to pour 4 pints and continue to ask after every pint to repeat the order. A reality show about bad pubs would ask the staff to be more competent to make it believable. Food somehow was delivered to the wrong table despite the tables being numbered. Second round asked for a vodka lemonade and proceeded to get a pint of lemonade. When corrected the staff just lashed a shot into the pint. Will be handy when I've sobered up from the amount of lemonade in the glass. I've had this write up proof read and both times I was told it was too nice.

The Nag's Head is conveniently located close to Wood Green tube station. My family and I were in the area to see a band at Alexandra Palace and decided to pop to the pub for a quick bite to eat before the show. We arrived just after 5pm, ordered some drinks and was advised that we could order food at 5.30 once the chef was back from their break. We went back to the bar at that time and ordered but was advised that they were out of fish and chips, so opted for 3 burgers and a plate of nachos instead. At 6.35, one of the burgers arrived but we were not provided with cutlery, seviettes or any sauces or seasoning etc. At 6.55pm, I went to the bar to see if I could get an update for the other 3 dishes and waited 15 minutes to speak to a member of staff. Another member of our party then came up to the other end of the bar and managed to speak to a member of staff quickly. He was advised that, although we had paid for 4 meals and drinks, only 1 meal was put through to the kitchen. As we had waited almost 2 hours for food, we asked to cancel the order and were provided with a cash refund for the missing food, despite paying by card. The member of staff that we spoke to did apologise for the error and kindly offered some bottles of beer for free. We explained that we needed to leave and didn't have time for more drinks and they suggested keeping the tops on and taking them with us. Unfortunately, when we tried to leave the pub, 2 of us got through and the other 2 were stopped by the bouncers on the door. They then told the 2 of us who had gotten out, to get back in the pub and that we couldn't take the drinks with us. We explained that the bar staff gave us the drinks as an apology and the bouncers said that they wouldn't have given them to us to take with us (even though the lids were on the bottles). When we tried to protest that this was not fair, we were advised that if we made a fuss, we'd be barred from the pub. It was quite embarrassing to be spoken to like this in front of those who were going in/out of the pub, so we decided to cut our losses and leave the drinks. Even then, they insisted on patting down my brother, as they thought he had hidden a bottle in his pocket (he hadn't). In addition to the above, when I went to the women's toilets before leaving, they were dirty and only 2 stalls had toilet paper available. The sign on the door showed that they had not been cleaned since 9am that day. The staff on site did seem very busy, so perhaps they were short staffed and had been unable to clean as often as normal. I can forgive mistakes and the offer of free drinks and a refund was appreciated. It is a shame that we offered drinks to take away and then have them taken off of us though. A combination of waiting over an hour for 1 burger, not being given cutlery, dirty toilets, 3/4 of our order being missed and then the interaction with the bouncers has made it so that, even though we were not barred as threatened, we will not be heading back to this pub.

Great spot for sport and food the food was amazing hot, looked like the pictures and the as delicious the staff are very good too the new manager was needed and the place has improved ten fold. Kelly the bartender was also very welcoming and helpful she does clean a lot but always happy to serve Me and my partner have been coming in on Monday mornings now as we used to drink here 30 years ago. I think this pub has improved so much since the new team are in place

Came here with the Wife on a trip to London from Scotland. Couldn’t be happier, staff were excellent and looked after us right from the start. As soon as we got in the door we were looked after. Food was excellent, highly recommend the fish and chips! The truffle chips were unreal, the starters of meat balls were sizzling and again excellent, big portion sizes as well! As I’ve said before we were looked after by all the staff, food was excellent, setting is excellent decor is brilliant, even the toilets were top notch! If it’s cheap food you are looking for them that’s what you are getting, absolutely Delish. Next time we are down in London we will be visiting again, exactly what you want from a top restaurant.

We ordered drinks at the bar and the that server told us to use the app for food as it was busy. We used the app to order food. We waited an hour, we then went to the bar to see how long it would be and a different server said "you shouldn't use the app, I'll get the robot to check if your food is coming!" Incredibly rude service with no acknowledgement of the situation. Why have mixed messaging? why doesn't the app automatically link to thesystem? Or why is the app system different to the till system?

This cozy pub has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Went to the nags head for dinner with family last week and I must say what a clean and lovely pub this was, from the start the bar staff were fabulous and super helpful with accommodating us all. The food come down quick and efficient and what perfect dishes they were from presentation to taste it was spot on! We were also in luck as they show all live sports throughout the venue. Thanks guys the hospitality was amazing and we will be back again.
