Caffe Nero in Haringey

I had a disappointing experience at this cafe. After spending an hour there, I was denied access to the restroom 15 minutes before closing because it had already been sprayed for cleaning. There was no prior warning or notice about this, which I found unacceptable as a paying customer. While I understand the need for cleaning, basic facilities should remain available until closing time, or at least customers should be informed beforehand. Very poor service and lack of consideration.

The coffee is good the cakes are delightful, can't have them all the time unfortunately and always pleasant staff thanks.

The atmosphere was ok, I'm not particularly fond of the younger crowd but it's ok. Their staff is nice and the selection of pastries happen to be really good.

In general the service is good. I always get good coffees. However the toilets are always dirty and disgusting. It just feels that those are only cleaned once a day in the mornings and then left at customers mercy. By midday it’s just dare to go in if you dare. The funny thing is that the toilet quality check is updated regularly. I wonder what do they look at? After two months (19/05/2024) I am back again and the situation is exactly the same with the toilets. One more thing that I noticed, is that every time I come here, staff ate always different and you can tell that they are inexperienced. Though coffees are always good.

Told me my voucher wasn’t valid. I had to argue to get them to try and scan it at which point it worked.

Of all the Cafe Neros, this is the Neroest.

Not my favourite Nero. Serving a babycino, (or whatever they call it), at near boiling point marked a particular low point on the most recent visit. Service not as slick as in most Neros that I visit.

Very nice shop can get very busy & difficult to get a seat especially with the lap toppers hogging the places

This Nero (Muswell Hill) is absolutely filthy and in desperate need of a face lift. The upholstered chairs are completely stained and some are even torn. The walls are in need of a repaint and the raw wooden tables have absorbed dirt that can't be wiped away. This unfortunately is not good enough, Nero are on the whole good. The staff are amazing, polite, friendly and efficient. The coffee and cakes are good. Area manager, if you are reading this, please inspect.

Rude staff. Was waiting in the que for a drink when the barista totally ignored me and served the person behind me. No apology, nothing. In fact, the person behind. Was rather shocked as well.

Atmosphere at Cafe nero never disappoints, but I'm well surprised with the quality of our drinks and customer service provided to us today. We came around 9 am and the store was nice and quiet with a few customers. I tried the cherry latte and my partner had a hot chocolate, both were delicious !! Will visit again .

Good Nero's, and better now that social distancing is over. During the pandemic, we had a lot of cases of 1 person camped out at a table or couch taking up seating meant for 4 or more, which was super annoying. Staff is nice.

very rude customer service one of the ladies came over and said that my party of three had to order one drink each when my friend had already ordered one (since we hadn’t decided what we wanted yet) and after five minutes she came over in a patronising tone stating she was waiting for our order… i personally do not like to be forced to order and i will never be going back. she was an older lady with glasses and honestly she should reflect on her social skills

Very lovely staff I work as nanny and often go in to get milk and snacks while we wait for the little ones parents or when I have to pick the elder one up later and the staff are always so lovely and patient. Truly a pleasure and also does a bloody brilliant chai tea latte.

I use my nectar points to spend on coffee here! Always a pleasant place to sit and read and the coffee's generally a high standard.

This is a popular cafe but the cafe itself definitely needs some upkeep. The windows are always dirty and look as though they have never been cleaned, there are lots of cobwebs near the ceiling, several layers of dust everywhere and the lid on the loo has been broken for ages.

Best venue as a coffee shop, there are other brands around but Caffè Nero place is very good. Staff is very friendly and servis quality is good

Nice place. Quite a lot of seating in the back. Good place to work during the day as long as you don't need to make too many calls.

Staff here are not welcoming. The young lad in particular looks like he’d rather be anywhere else, and it seems he lacks any kind of communication skills.

There is one young lady here always cleaning doesn't stop I can't wait to the manager comes back oh my god

Favourite coffee place in Muswell Hill

A very friendly and local. Polite and nice staff. I like my late from there and started to visit more and more lately. Also, a good tip for all coffee drinkers, when you bring your own mug you get an extra stamp on your loyalty card! Drink coffee and safe the planet. Yes Caffe Nero, you do know how to do the right thing.

This Muswell Hill branch used to be okay before the Covid-19 lockdown but since they’ve re-opened it’s quite clear that very little thought has gone into it; the front window was dusty on the outside every time I went there and needed cleaning, very little attention and creativity has been used to create a nice socially distanced environment, it just looks dull not to mention unclean inside; there’s also two tables one clearly almost not fit for purpose and the other that needs fixing in the corner; as customers we’re now expected to clear up after the previous customer and clean and sanitise our own table and the long seated area on their back wall always looks grubby with crumbs stuck between the seating, yes the coffee and other beverages are still good but this place is being neglected and it’s very off putting, I hope that something will be done about it soon.

I came to have a coffee with a friend and we had to clean the table ourselves where we had to sit at, for none of the 2 staff members wanted to do it for us. How does this cafe apply the health and safety measures COVID related? I'd like to know

One of my favourite Neros, members of staff always seem to be in a great spirit plus they also make amazing drinks, of course. More often than not, you'll find a place to sit as well, although I definitely think that the place could use maybe a few more tables in general. If would also be lovely to have more fresh food available, salads and soups would be great.

Fantastic service, staff graceful under fire! Muswell Hill Caffe Nero is my local and I absolutely love it. I read a few of the bad reviews on Trip Advisor and, having witnessed some typically challenging behaviour from a customer this morning, which Marta, the manager, dealt with very professionally, feel compelled to offer a counter view. A customer demanded coffees which were not on the menu, changed her mind several times about which milk she wanted, asked the manager to decide for her, became offended when she was told she couldn't and then tried to engage others in the queue to support her cause. Marta, the only one on duty despite that large queue, smiled politely throughout. Another major factor that this branch has to deal with is the large numbers of people using it as free office space. The cafe is large, with excellent tables, wifi and air conditioning, which makes it ideal. As a result, many hog the tables for hours, buying nothing, bringing their own food and water bottles! I've seen people openly eating sandwiches they've brought from home, while people coming in with their families who want to buy food and drinks and sit down, walk in and then leave because there are no tables available. I have seen the staff ask people to buy something, but that has always been in a situation where said person has a laptop open which is plugged into the wall and several papers spread across the table. They are clearly working and buying nothing. If the cafe is to stay open, they do need people to buy food and drinks! It is a lovely space where my family always feel very welcome. I recommend it - but please don't bring your own food!!

Leí algunas de las críticas negativas y, habiendo sido testigo de un comportamiento típicamente desafiante de un cliente esta mañana, que Marta, la gerente, trató de manera muy profesional, me siento obligada a ofrecer una opinión contraria. Un cliente exigió cafés que no estaban en el menú, cambió de opinión varias veces sobre qué leche quería, le pidió al gerente que decidiera por ella, se ofendió cuando le dijeron que no podía y luego trató de involucrar a otros en la cola para apoya su causa. Marta, la única de turno a pesar de la gran cola, sonrió educadamente en todo momento. Otro factor importante con el que tiene que lidiar esta sucursal es la gran cantidad de personas que lo utilizan como espacio de oficina gratuito. La cafetería es amplia, con excelentes mesas, wifi y aire acondicionado, lo que la hace ideal. Como resultado, muchos acaparan las mesas durante horas, sin comprar nada, ¡trayendo su propia comida y botellas de agua! He visto gente comiendo abiertamente sándwiches que han traído de casa, mientras gente que entra con sus familias y quiere comprar comida y bebida y sentarse, entrar y luego irse porque no hay mesas disponibles. He visto al personal pedirle a la gente que compre algo, pero eso siempre ha sido en una situación en la que dicha persona tiene una computadora portátil abierta que está enchufada a la pared y varios papeles esparcidos por la mesa. Claramente están trabajando y no comprando nada. Si el café va a permanecer abierto, ¡necesitan personas para comprar alimentos y bebidas! Es un espacio encantador donde mi familia siempre se siente muy bien acogida. Lo recomiendo, ¡pero no traiga su propia comida! !

Good consistent espresso, the nice thing about Caffe Nero is that it does not franchise the brand. This means that all caffé Nero are consistent. I'm not saying sometime the caffe is not great but its fare more consistent than many of there big chain competitors. This Nero if no exception, attentive staff who keep the queue flowing well, a good choice from vegan to salami pizza for lunch. And if you want something light the apricot brioche is great with the hidden apple sauce in the middle. Enjoy

I love being here, the atmosphere is very nice, their coffee is sooo good, but their price are a bit expensive and the staffs are sometimes not good in treating customers!

Both WiFi and 4G were reluctant to work for me at this location. Otherwise comfy with nice hot chocolate and a decent selection of eats.

Great cafe Nero, friendly helpful and fast service from staff, offer you seasonal specials when ordering and make a great coffee. Nice atmosphere in the cafe itself and welcoming seating spaces. Dog friendly if you have a furry friend too!

Lovely interior, a lot nicer than when it was near Space NK.

The coffee and croissants are excellent, the cakes good, the staff fine. No 5th star because it can be a bit crowded, some of the seats are too deep, and the parking on the street is tight.

I met a friend here and it was my first visit to Caffe Nero. I had an Americano and a a sandwich. The sandwich was pre-packed but it was delicious the Americano was a little strong for me but I find all cafe black coffees are strong. I did find it a little pricey but I don't tend to eat out. The cashier was very polite and welcoming. Played soft background music and was an overall pleasant place to sit down and relax, or look at a computer or phone

Cardinal Place is a vast improvement on the previous square. Various shops and restaurants now including a Marks and Spencer

Debo haberme sentado durante 30 segundos como máximo antes de que el personal me pidiera que subiera a la barra. Me quedé en shock y extremadamente desanimado. Por supuesto que iba a comprar una bebida, pero solo quería sentarme primero. Hice lo que me pedían y subí al bar solo para que murmuraran cosas en italiano. No solo arruinaron mi día sino también mi bebida con sus feas personalidades. No vengas aquí a menos que quieras ser recibido con basura.

Pretty bog standard Nero in lovely Muswell Hill. Got my drink wrong then gave me a poorly made drink compared to other Neros. Not sure it's better than the other chains at this location.

I usually go there to get a coffee before I go to work. The coffee is perfect and also the place is nice and relax atmosphere but I can’t say the same thing for staff. They’re talking nonstop to each other in their language I believe it’s itallian . Talking talking talking , I believe if there is a customer they should serve first and after that they Can continue talking but they do totally opposite. I have never seen people talking that much in my life specially in the very early morning . And all of them are same . It seems they were banned for speaking and they didn’t speak at all since how many months even years and now they are free talking nonstop. Very unprofessional staff.

Good cafe. Bit pricey like all of these places. Good for working. Bit on the small side so get there early.

It's usually okay but occasionally local mums decide to inflict their demon-children on this coffee shop and turn it into a playground. Would not recommend.

Recently moved venue, really nice decor and lovely atmosphere to work in and socialise. The coffee is made really well here (genuinely noticeably better than at other Nero's even) and the staff are just genuinely lovely.

Nice decor and location. The sofas aren't as soft as I expected. THEY HAVE CLUEDO, but it is incomplete. :(
