First time popping in last week. Love the feel of the store. The barista was really friendly, and the coffee was really good. Ticks all the boxes. Will be back :)

Visited this coffee shop today at 5.30pm Disgusting service. 2 male staff standing around chatting. I asked if they served milk shakes. The older man with loads of jewellery red & black short sleeve T shirt on just pointed at the board to read the drinks list. I could not see the menu so asked them to let me know what it said & the prices as l was short sighted. The older man didn’t want to so the younger man to served me. I could not understand him clearly so l looked over to the older guy who walked over and said loudly for me to leave the cafe!! I said what you mean leave. He said from when you came in you had attitude! I said what do you mean l had no attitude. l was on my way back from hospital and was in a rush as my partner was parked outside. He made me feel awful and embarrassed me in-front of everyone in the cafe for no reason. I’m an older woman and no one in my intire life has spoken to me like this. I work in a supermarket and will never ever treat a customer like that. Customers pay people wages and keep shops open. People in the shop was looking at me which made me feel bad. I don’t know what your shop serves as I’m not familiar with your drinks or prices except how extremely expensive you are. Thats why l asked. This older staff member told me it’s an ice cream coffee. So l was expecting a thick coffee milk shake but what l got was a water tasteless coffee. The older guy who told me to leave made my drink. I seen him put water & ice with a drop of chocolate syrup? No coffee if he did it was a sprinkle, he didn’t ask me which milk l wanted so l thought it was ice cream and coffee not milk just water and a dash of chocolate syrup. He was struggling scooping out the ice cream. It was frozen hard. I seen him put hardly any ice cream basically water with 2 small pieces of ice cream. I tasted it when l got into the car and it was water with no taste. I threw it in the bin it was disgusting. Even the chocolate syrup was one squirt from the top that touched the side of the lid which l paid extra 50p for. Whole experience was awful and £5.15 for water 2 tiny scoops of ice cream and a drop of chocolate syrup is a right rip off. I Wished l did leave and go to Costa two doors up at least l would have got what l paid for. Never again will go to any of your coffee shop. Your staff need training on their customer Service.

Wow! A brand new update for the Crouch End coffee shop. Now making Eggs Benedict and fresh brewed carafes of coffee. A great upgraded edition to the trendy North London ‘burb of ‘Crouchie’.

What is it about the staff in this place? Something is off. It was the same before refurbishment too. No customer service skills. Another lady in queue and I just walked out after being ignored for several minutes. Customer service is so at odds with community feel it tries to promote.

Very nice quality coffee and friendly service. Horrible toilets, and generally bad pastries. Don't make the mistake of sitting on the dog sofa in the back room. Generally, a nice place to get away from it all and take a break.

Great cafe, especially for working. There's a large area at the back which has tables and armchairs, it's calm and quiet. The coffee was delicious and the cakes are pretty good. Would recommend.

Always has a great atmosphere, a selection of comfy seating options, a chilled atmosphere, and dog friendly. I have just tried their new season Single Origin Hot Chocolate, and I am in love. It is dark and bitter without added sugars but still has a sweet backnote.

The food is ok but a bit overpriced Customer service could be better: I politely and respectfully asked one of the waitresses if they could turn down a bit the music and I was rudely rebuked

Really cozy cafe, coffee was alright.

Service was indifferent, not very friendly. The coffee wasn’t brilliant and they clearly have no idea how to do an oat milk cappuccino, it wasn’t a cappuccino it was a warm milky drink. Food was ok, nothing special.

Phone had run out of battery, so nice to have visible power outlet to charge phone. Earl grey Tea pot reasonably priced at 2.70 for 2 cups of tea, nicely provided. Toilets were pretty nice, better than at home. Vibe with open windows meant it felt pretty cool , nice in the sunny spell of recent.

Love meeting friends and family there

Very disappointing experience. Went there try “specialty coffee”prepared by skilled barista. For 2 coffees I paid over £7.00 which is rather on expensive side. One of them Americano with soy milk was served with curdled milk. I brought it back to the counter and was told that this is completely normal and that I should drink it. I am managing vegan coffee shop in central London and been working with high acidity specialty coffee for years and trust me there are many ways of stopping soy milk curdling in coffee. If you guys believe this is normal with soy milk you should advice your customer not to mix your high acidity specialty coffee with soy milk or offer alternative which won’t be curdling rather than trying to make me drink that disgusting spoiled drink. I also don’t believe that your regular customers ,who surly add plant based milk to Americano, just drink it curdled beliving it's a norm.

Nice ambient but their WiFi is awful always disconnecting and you have no chance to connect again and also in order to use it you have to follow a couple online steps and be registered lol. So if you want to work or study with your laptop definitely is not the place. Aslo the last time I went to get a coffee I sat on the sofa in the back area and after half an hour the lady came at 4 and told me that they’re gonna close the area so had to pick my stuff and move while they’re closing at 6. The front area was full of people so I had to leave before I even finish my coffee. Rude

A high quality coffee shop for sure, staff went above and beyond with the service and the coffee, reasonable prices for the quality and all situated in a good area. Inside the decorations are deserving of similar high praise, with a book exchange bookshelf, and sofas at the back, with really nice wood seating. Would highly recommend for a morning coffee or an afternoon snack!

Rude service + waiters , overpriced

Absolutely diabolical service. Not interested in being polite and friendly and making you feel welcome...quite the opposite in fact. Rude staff and overpriced coffee. Shame as the shop itself is a nice space, but I won't be going back!

very slow and rude staff. Ordered a cappuccino and recived a latte with chocolate on top. I have try to say something to the barista but she just shout at me to stop complaining. never again

Used to like this place during lockdown for takeaway, but the last few times I hat sat in and been disappointed with the cleanliness. Staff also seem to get orders wrong a lot - I've had mine remade a few times. They also randomly close half the seating area sometimes and other times close completely with a sign on the door saying "be back soon" which is annoying and unprofessional.

Good coffee, service and chilled feel to the place. Not a great selection if you want something sweet to go with your coffee

The iced coffee method is - put ice in glass, pour in cold milk, pour in cold coffee, and, er, that’s it. Not even stirred let alone whisked or blended.

This place continues to be fantastic. Their coffee is delicious and decently priced (For London), they always exhibit interesting art pieces and they have their calendar board that is filled with little cute jokes and info. The staff is always attentive and kind. And they are well organized to handle social distance right now.

Thank you but no thank you. First day open after lockdown. I bought my coffee ( no taking cash, fine) I asked them if I can get glass of water. Answer : They not allowed. I asked again: I am happy to pay for take away cup just to get a glass water. They said they not allowed . Seriously you not allowed or you just want to be difficult? I got my coffee and asked if I can get at least paper sleeve. So not even paper sleeve. Definitely my last time. They are much better places in Crouch End with friendlier staff to get coffee. Clean and warm cafe. Staff were friendly and good. Coffee is okay, no better or worse than any other coffee bar.

I’ve been here about ten times now. I was hoping to like Harris + Hope as it’s close by and allows dogs. Unfortunately I’ve found the service to be rather unfriendly, the prices are miserly and pedantic; and though they do allow dogs, it is clear they are doing so begrudgingly. I no longer feel comfortable going there with my dog, given the treatment she’s received from the staff over several visits. It’s fine, but given the poor service and the fact that it’s owned by Tesco (not the local shop as it attempts to masquerade), 2 stars.

There is a kid's room at the back, which is really handy. Could do with a few books/ toys in there. Coffee is very good here.

I really like this cafe, the staff are always so smiley and welcoming, really makes all the difference! I also like that there’s a separate workstation area too.

It’s that kind of place where they know your name. Baby friendly (books and games) with big sofas for my toddler to climb on. I miss it when I go away. <3

Eat, work and relax, ideal for all

Genuinely friendly and efficient staff. Light airy open room. Great coffee. Comfy sofas. The caramel squares are some of the best I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a LOT of them). My only gripe would be that the music is just a little loud and it can be intrusive if you're trying to read.

CROUCH ENDにはカフェがたくさんあり、初めて利用しました。ソファ席はゆったりしていますが、肝心のコーヒーは普通。カプチーノを飲みましたが、他の個人カフェのほうが味は美味しいです。

great coffee but lady barista ( i think she is the manager even ) is astoundingly rude and bitter. She won't hesitate to take it out on you if you give her reason, has serious temper issues.

A great relaxing space.this is like my second home. Love the staff and the way the mix of sofa and chairs are. I wished you would introduce one or two healthy vegetable juing. Like kale, cucumber, apple, mix or something like that. Also can you add matcha latte to your range of hot drinks. Everywhere they have it but not at H+H. So if a few things get added this becomes my favouate place.

They always deliver what they are known for, very well made coffee. Lovely atmosphere and lovely stuff members. I always feel good after visiting.

Amazing atmosphere, friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered and had some delicious goats&pepper focaccia. As a barista I would say the coffee is top quality as well. 10/10

I have been to this cafe around to study in the couple of weeks. Staff are friendly and nice, however every time I have used the bathroom there has been NO SOAP. I wonder if this is also the staff toilet and whether they are also not using soap. It's off putting to buy anything but coffee as I don't know whats been handled with potentially dirty hands. I resorted to bringing my own hand sanitiser. I know I sound like a germ freak but this just grossed me out. There are two toilets and one has been out of order every time I have visited, maybe that one had soap! Also very over priced coffee - a vanilla iced latte is around £3.65 - go to starbucks or costa next door.

Had a really great Cream Tea (fruit scone cream jam and pot of early grey) for just under £5. Was delicious. Staff super welcoming and good atmosphere. Would recommend.

We love this place. The coffee is really good and the atmosphere is great. We also love all the people who work here. Rosie, Meli and others are just great people and really good for this business. Crouch End is the new London cool.

I used to like Harris and Hoole, it used to be a nice space to spend a few hours in, I think it’s nicer than Starbucks and Costas along the same stretch because it’s got more character however I’ve stopped coming in here because the chairs get very uncomfortable after a few hours also I’m tired of asking them to clean my table once I’ve chosen one and the big dark skinned woman who might be the manager I have found to be cold and unfriendly which has put me off from returning.

Hot chocolate was OK. They lack cakes and pastries. In general is not bad but very basic.

A very lovely and special place for recharging your coffee batteries😉 Also good to work there, the atmosphere is calm and easy. And coffee is good, also with the vegan milk if you prefer it this way.

Not a conventional coffee shop. Feels just right for those tired of the green spectrum wave length of the neighbouring starbucks. Their staff proclaims to be well trained baristas, however coffee tasted somewhat bitter and sour or was it just my taste. Loved the artworks on the walls for a change and the books one could browse for hours.

I love this place! The staff are super friendly, remember my name and after 6 coffees you get 1 free, never saw that anywhere else. But the cherry on the top is their flat white...the best. Any time I’m in London I’d choose this place 1st ❤️
