The Fromeway in Bath and North East Somerset

My wife and I stayed at the Fromeway over the Easter weekend, having cycled over from Bristol. The rooms were modern and very clean and Emily kindly arranged to secure our bikes overnight in one of their store rooms. We ate dinner in the restaurant on both nights, having had a drink in the bar first. The food was a mix of traditional 'pub food' with good wines to accompany. The bar was friendly and there were a good mix of people like us staying over as well as locals. The bar offered a good range of cask beer and local ciders On the Sunday, we enjoyed the 'full roast lunch' experience, again all done very well. Location wise, it is close to a couple of long distance national cycle routes, which meander through some beautiful countryside and pretty Somerset villages. There is also a heritage railway a few miles up the road and a mining museum in the town which I have visited before and is worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing roast dinner for Mothers Day. The meats were so good! - plenty of tasty veg/gravy. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend this place! :-) 👌🏻⭐️

I've been coming here as the generations change, and even the family that runs it (two sisters now) change their own circumstances. It has been consistently clean and harmonious, providing generous servings of food, ale in excellent condition and served with amiability. I just wish it was in walking distance.

I booked a room for an overnight stay whilst visiting family in the local area. Everything was great with the stay, room was very nice, everything you would need was provided. Car parking was easy and a delicious breakfast was included the next morning. Thanks Emily and Hannah - would stay again :)

Had a wonderful stay last night. Everything was superb. Emily the landlady is such a lovely lady and her 2 cute dogs. Will definitely stay here again

We came for a large Christmas party on Christmas Eve and it was brilliant. They had loads of staff who couldn't do enough for us, their service was brilliant and we had a large area all to ourselves. Most importantly the food was excellent. The quality was great, a good choice but most of all every one of us had really hot food. Great to have a pub we can walk to. Thankyou

Fantastic place to stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Handy for you to visit Bath. Food lovely and plenty on the plate, great breakfast, would highly recommend, rooms clean and beautifully decorated.

Such a charming, friendly, clean, welcoming place to stay. Was there for a short business trip and was absolutely ideal for me. Couldn’t have been more accommodating and kind…even forgot my jacket and sent it back to me with a minimum of fuss. Will definitely stay if I’m ever in the area again.

Thanks for the warm welcome at your lovely Hotel. The Place is well located to visit Bristol as well as Bath. The room had been clean, the bed fine and the breakfast was excellence. Thumbs up to the kitchen.

We stayed one night at Fromeway as a base for a nearby wedding, but we will definitely consider coming back based on what we saw. Staff were so so friendly and accommodating, which makes the world of difference. We needed early check in and this was no trouble at all. In addition, we are vegan and the vegan breakfast in the morning was absolutely fantastic - even included vegan halloumi! One of the best vegan breakfasts I’ve had in a while.

Lovely clean airy room with super comfy kingsize bed. Food was lovely but the best thing was the staff! Everyone was really friendly and welcoming nothing was to much trouble. Weather was really warm so made sure there was a fan in our room. Top class place to stay x

Met a few friends here for random beers in the pub garden with my Greyhound. Lovely and sunny spot, staff were very friendly. Could easily have spent hours and hours here. Estrella and Budweiser went down a treat! Lovely interior decor too. A really nice pub that the area is lucky to have!

We booked into The Fromeway for a 1 night stay, due to a 50th Birthday Party which we were attending in the local area. We had lunch and breakfast at the Fromeway, which was very nice indeed. They use locally sourced produce. Plates were hot. Good selection of food and drink to choose from. We found the staff friendly, helpful and attentive. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would happily and hopefully stay again. We would highly recommended a visit. My husband would love this as his local!!

Came her for a meal. Service was really good, the food was delicious. (Fromeway burger & Steak). Atmosphere is lovely. All in all a lovely place to eat out.

We took a large group for a birthday Sunday lunch, several children. We were made very welcome, the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely meals, lots of veg which I love. We then sat outside for coffee and cake, thank you to the staff for bringing out the cake and being so helpful.

I stayed here for 1 night. On a work trip. As it was close to Babington house where I needed to attend. It was so lovely and relaxing. Clean close to the high street. Free parking onsite. Breakfast including. Emily and Hannah were just amazing. So friendly. The breakfast was beautiful ❤️ I also left an item in the room and the host sent it back to me. Home from home feel. Also the outside space garden was so cute. I sat out there for over an hour after my long 2.5 hr drive. I will visit again.

This is a 'blink and you've passed it' pub despite being on this site since 1852. The interior is lovely and roomy, nicely decorated and with a large separate dining room. Food when I've eaten here is freshly cooked and generous portions. Service always friendly and the garden is gorgeous. Worth visiting just to sit outside when you can.

We had a lovely stay at The Fromeway it’s such a nice relaxing room a wonderful king size bed and the best shower I’ve ever come across plus a hearty full breakfast.We were made to feel very welcome.It is pet friendly too which is a bonus so I highly recommend this hotel unfortunately we were there on a Monday and Tuesday so we couldn’t access the bar which was a shame but maybe next time we are visiting this lovely part of the world.

We’re so glad we booked in for lunch today (Mothering Sunday) . We couldn’t have asked for a more friendly welcome! All the staff were amazing including a very accommodating chef and the food was delicious.
