Three of us have just returned from Sunday lunch at The Druid’s Arms. The food was outstanding and ample, the vegetables freshly cooked and exactly right! The service could not be bettered - friendly, efficient and cheerful. The Druid’s Arms is thoroughly recommended and we shall definitely return! Christopher.

We enjoyed a most fabulous steak dinner served by the amazing staff - we didn't catch their names but they were truly outstanding. A proper local serving great food and drinks. Popped back and had a couple of pints the following night and had a great blether with the locals. 5* Highly recommend

We had 3 lovely evenings at The Druids Arms. We went on the first night of our stay in nearby Norton Malreward and ended up coming back for dinner every night! The food was really tasty and both my girlfriend and I got a different meal each night with each being as good as the last. All of the staff and customers were incredibly friendly and the pub has a really pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The garden is beautiful with amazing views and lots of space. Overall a wonderful pub and well worth a visit. Special shout out to the guy working last night (21/6), he was great vibes and a lovely guy, although all the staff were excellent each time we came in. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning the next time we’re in the area.

Great little pub! I drink here fairly often and always enjoy it down there. Locals are great and happy to engage with you and food is very good for a local pub! The place is pretty busy most might which tells you how good it is. Steak night and Sunday roasts are very popular. Julie (manager) has worked wonders with the venue and always finds time to speak to customers and locals. Can't speak highly enough of the place and its staff

We called on the day in the hope they could accommodate us for a Sunday roast after other pubs in the area being fully booked, and they managed to seat us in the pub garden. I had the vegetarian roast option which was a nut roast and it did not disappoint! Probably the best roast I have ever had!! The staff were also really friendly both on the phone and when we arrived. I will definitely be coming back as it is really close to walks from Chew Magna and the Pensford viaduct.

A super-sweet village gastro-pub in the West Country with a toasty-warm heart run by landlady Julie. We arrived tired at our holiday cottage after hours of travelling and found there was no tea or coffee. There was no village shop so in desperation we went to the Druid's Arms and they gave us free teabags and made us feel very welcome. The locals were all lovely too and we saw the same group turn up every night - what a great way to round off a day! We ate there every night of our stay and the food was delicious and very affordable. The setting was gorgeous too - quiet, pretty and opposite a field -- and right next door to some stone circles the same era as Stonehenge. Worth a special drive from Bath or Bristol. :-)

Great village pub with ancient stone circles in the garden!!..After a lovely walk to nearby Pensford & back we enjoyed a roast here, top quality food cooked very nicely, attention was paid to every item on the plate which made it so enjoyable I have to come back very soon!

Lovely old school british pub. Walking distance from the Stone Circle and Tound house. There is a car park in front of the pub which is very handy just for £1. Food is fresh and delicious, and the service is excellent. We will come back.

Encompasses the cove part of the stanton drew stone circle. Quite steep steps from the pub.

Dropped in for a break from drinking. Made very welcome. Local pint is apparently very good. Will be back to done later in the week.

Lovely country pub, bar staff very friendly and helpful, the locals were also friendly. Nice selection of drink and food, we had ciabatta roll and a portion of chips which were fab, hubby very happy as they had tribute and butcombe on tap, they also did tea and coffee. Dog friendly and a large rear garden with the (cove) stones in the garden. We will return

This is a family run pub with brilliant service, great food and a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend. We went as a big group with my family. The owner made us feel so welcome. The food was perfect, most of us ordered burgers but there was plenty of choice on the menu. All delicious, a great evening!

100% reccomend, the food was so delicious. It was all homemade and fresh, the chef was so accommodating to children, even let us order off the menu. Lillie and Eric was amazing! Couldn't do enough for us. The atmosphere was friendly, warm and inviting. Was so nice we decided to come back 2 nights in row. If you're ever in the area, it's simply a must!!! Steak night on a Wednesday is so worth it, the whole menu is so affordable! The outside area has stunning views of the church and rolling countryside!

Very very good. We ended up here almost by chance and it was a pleasant surprise. Spectacular service, very attentive and friendly and the food was also very good. I will certainly return.

I've only visited this pub on solstice eve but the staff were very friendly and they have a good variety of ales and ciders. I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food. A lovely country pub.

Stop off for food excellent food and friendly staff

Stayed in Stanton Drew for a few days and made this our short-term local. The pub and setting very nice, 'The Cove,' an ancient stone monument is actually inside the pub garden, which also overlooks the picturesque church. Staff, food and locals all great - this is a proper pub, not some boutique-style soulless so-called 'country Inn.' Proper cider! The famous stone circles are nearby, and there is a nice walk to be made to nearby Pensford, which is a beautiful little village and well worth exploring. The viaduct is impressive. I love steaky nights... but serving Sunday roast should be extended ..3:30pm is to early to stop serving Sunday roast

The food was great! We had a really delicious Linguine and a super tasty and fresh, generous portion of Caesar Salad. Must say we were slightly dissapointed that the interior didn't look anything like its photos! Tables were taky to touch. Could do with a 'feminie touch' a little vase of wild flowers on the tables and on the window sills. Looked tired and unloved. No windows open and no music.

We went for a Sunday roast today with some friends and it was great. Food was delicious and plenty of it. The service was great, very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was nice and cosy. There could have been a little more room at the table however it's an older country pub so space is limited. I'd recommend to anyone wanting a great meal in a friendly country pub.

We stopped here as an overnight stop in our motorhome, and enjoyed a decent pub meal in this wonderful, traditional mendip pub. Staff and locals are truly friendly, and we were made to feel really welcome. The pub is centrally placed in this lovely Somerset village, ideally situated for the stone circles and round house. Highly recommended

We had our roast on Easter, and we had a good experience. The food is really tasty and served in generous portions. We had our meal in a friendly atmosphere with locals and staff who offered a professional and efficient service.

This is brilliant, a great pub, a menu that is varied and some great specials. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere, great service and brilliant food. We have visited many times over the last 6 months and always enjoy the food, welcome and atmosphere. A really special pub.

We fancied a Sunday roast and this place looked good on Google, so we decided to try it and, dare I say, Google wasn’t wrong. We were welcomed by the “Saturday girl”, who looked after us most of the time, and she was pretty amazing, as was her colleague and the food. The atmosphere was very casual and chilled. It was an excellent Sunday outing, just a shame I’m off the booze cos I’d’ve loved an ale or three, so I had to contend with a pot of tea. And on that note, pity they didn’t have some herbals but probably it’s not really something people go there for. Also, a coffee machine for a proper one after the meal would’ve been awesome rather than instant coffee, which I passed on. Overall, a most delightful place!

I had heard a lot about this place and how good it was. We booked up for Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. Probably the best Sunday roast in the whole of the Chew Valley. Word of warning though , you do need to book ahead. We will definitely be going back.

We stayed overnight in our campervan. We were made to feel welcome. The staff and the people in it were lovely. We only are chips, but they were very good - and gluten free!

Had a lovely time with a friend for a drink and pudding. Very friendly staff and regulars made us feel very welcome, and the puddings were to die for (chocolate brownie and ice cream and winter fruits crumble and custard) delicious. Thanks guys x

Absolutely awesome pub. Proper traditional locals place and all the locals are dead friendly and up for a chat. Met one of the owners as well who was a legend. Had a plate of roasties as a snack and they were as proper as they come.

Superb Sunday Roast! Dropped in on the off chance they could fit us in and they didn’t well. Service and food were ‘on point’ Friendly, unhurried, busy but very civilized. Surrounded by the great outdoors for walking off the wonderful meal. We will be back to this Gem in the country side.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Special thanks to Julie Bragg and all the staff The Druid's Arms for helping us arrange a short notice birthday party (48hrs). Great suggestions were made to make the evening special, smooth and stressless! Suggesting to take all food orders and just let the kitchen roll it out was inspired, no seating plans required and it got people mixing! It was delicious food too! Can’t thank you enough team !

Great pub, cosy and friendly. The Sunday roast was up there with the best I've experienced. The portion size was emmense and beautifully cooked, and excellent value. Seems very popular, so book, it was very very busy. A pefect end to a really nice local walk. Can't wait to return!!

We visited with a large group of cyclists. Food had been pre -ordered. It arrived promptly, with everyone getting served quickly. It was excellent quality, nicely served and hot. Staff were kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

Used to be a regular here but stopped due to circumstances. Came back recently to discover it had retained its charm and lovely atmosphere. The food was good quality homely fair.

food was great, service was great and price was better than expected, similar in other places has been a little more expensive and maybe not quite as nice. Tables to left of entrance are a little tight spaced but area is a little limited, I will happily return as it's worth squeezing through a gap for the food quality, service and price.

Had lunch there this week. I had gnocchi with spinach and chorizo followed by the homemade brownie (which was to die for 😋) and hubby had their homemade chicken burger followed by homemade lemon tart which was just as sublime. Would definitely return, homemade food, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.

Very nice cosy pub with very nice food for the price the quality is very good very tasty food, we hand the belly pork which went down well with everyone the fish and chips was very and so was the steak,the starters were well presented and tasty,the only downfall the only thing that slightly mired a almost flawless meal was the fact that more than one dish was unavailable and lack of service,I think a little more attention paid to the restaurant wouldn't go a miss.

Stunning food!! The Hong Kong chicken was one of the nicest starters I think I've ever had. We had burgers on burger night and they didn't disappoint - really yummy and perfectly salted crispy chips. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes. One of our party was ill unfortunately so didn't come out and the kind kitchen staff cooked a burger for us to take with us which went down a treat. All the staff were very friendly. This pub is a gem!!!

A great village pub, friendly staff and wonderful food.. We popped in on a Thursday lunchtime and the pub was bristling with customers, all enjoying the fantastic atmosphere and hearty fayre. A must to visit if you're in the area.

Went for Wednesday steak night ,, great value great steak from either 8oz ribeye , rump, or sirloin and gorgeous desserts , staff are very friendly and make u feel very welcome, amazing little pub with a big heart ,

Really friendly little pub. Drinks are reasonably priced. We didn't eat here as they were very busy, but the food did look and smell good. Would definitely love to try it if we're in the area again. Disabled access is not the best as it is an old building with tight spaces and a few steps to toilets. There is a small car park next to the pub.

How many pubs can claim a 4,500 year old megalith in the beer garden? Not many I'm willing to wager! The Butcombe bitter from just up the road in Bristol was great, as was the welcome!

We didn’t book in advance but we’re lucky enough to get a table, the service and food was incredible, the staff were lovely and welcoming! 10/10 would recommend to friends and family, and we’re already planning to return 👌

A lovely classic country pub with some powerful stones in the garden. Arrived well after the kitchen had closed for lunch but still made us some chips for the kids. Amazing service, lovely setting and Korev is served 😎

Loved this little pub. Had a fantastic roast dinner. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food is tasty and the service is great. I would highly recommend.

Had a delicious roast dinner here. It was well presented, very flavoursome and reasonably priced. The only downside is that our table was small for a big family and the Driuds is a small public house so space is limited for bigger parties.

The 2 ladies working at the pub tonight were both lovely. The food was amazing, all we have ordered was excellent, particularly the chicken cordon bleu and the truffle fries. The atmosphere was the best part: not only the staff, but also the patrons were nice, smiling, kind and happy. There is something magic about this place.

Lovely little pub with lot's of character. Only visited for a cool drink and snacks on a sunny afternoon after walking around the stone circle. Enjoyed our refreshments in the lovely garden where we sat near two of the Stanton Drew standing stones.

We came to see the stone circles and cove at Stanton Drew and saw this quaint pub and decided to pop in. It was steak night and it was delicious tender and flavourful, chips were lovely with mushroom tomatoe and peas, very filling, excellent service and a friendly pub. Really enjoyed it.
