Stayed here back in October and it was exactly what we wanted. The building is charming both outside and inside, rooms and bathroom are very small but it didn’t take away from the experience. It’s a great location, and the walk to get to the city center is lovely. We couldn’t have pictured a better stay for our first time in Bath.

I stayed at The Edgar Townhouse over Valentine’s weekend, and it is a beautiful hotel. The location is perfect, just a 4-minute walk to The Holburne Museum and 9 minutes to Theatre Royal and the city centre. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. My room was beautiful, with a great view from the window. I was very happy during my stay here and will recommend it to others.

Great location with an easy walk into the centre of Bath. There is no parking on site but there are two long stay car parks about 10 minutes walk away - The Podium and Charlotte street. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff really friendly. I had a basement room but it still had natural light via a courtyard and the room was a good size with a large bathroom.

Perfect location for us! 5 minutes from town and 5 mins from a lovely skyline walk via Sydney Park. Friendly welcome and a really good breakfast. Definitely recommend booking direct for the best price too.

If you want to get the feeling of the 18th century, then I recommend this hotel! I was so lucky to find it, an elegant Georgian townhouse and the people there are too friendly and always meeting you with a big smile and happy hearts! Special thanks to Rupert, Rose, and Ali, we had a wonderful time there, and I'm sure I will be back soon . Service, location, and the soul of the interior are absolutely amazing

Rooms were very nice and breakfast that was included was good. Very convenient location to downtown and restaurants. We had one issue with one of the rooms we booked. A fair resolution was offered and arrived at quickly.

Lovely stay for one night. It was 30 degrees but the room had a fan. Really nice breakfast, very accommodating and friendly staff. Great location. Very attractive area right next to town. Genuinely cannot fault it for the reasonable price. Very clean too.

Visited Bath for 3 nights days and stayed at the Edgar Townhouse (early March 2024). We were coming in from the US and arriving to town directly from London. Communication from booking to the arrival date was solid and we were well informed on the check-in times / process. The check-in itself was pleasant and easy and after a long night’s travel well appreciated. We were on the top floor which offers a view but the climb will give you a bit of a work out. It is definitely not for those that may have issues with stairs as there is no lift available. The room itself was clean, well appointed if a bit cozy, and met our needs well. We were in town to see Bath – not spend a lot of time in a hotel – so on those terms it was perfect. We also fell the rate charged was good value considering amenities and location. We opted for the breakfast with our room fee and it did not disappoint. It was great to start each day off with a good, warm breakfast served by attentive and friendly staff. I do not know if we will find ourselves on Bath again but if we do we will certainly consider staying at the Edgar Townhouse again.

Great size single room, clean location, ceiling fan, view of part of the city. Comfortable bed. Electric kettle in the room. Very good breakfast. My check in and check out were carried out by a very friendly employee - I don't remember her name. Accommodation very close to the historic center and its attractions, possible to walk to the city's train/bus station.

Had a fantastic 4 night stay here. Great welcome and informative introduction to what was happening in the city that weekend. I had a lovely double tastefully decorated in shades of grey and a very comfortable bed. Also faced out over Great Pulteney Street. I booked for Breakfast every morning and it was a lovely filling full English (just missing black pudding), plus fruit and tea. The menu though is extensive and plenty of cereal yoghurt and juices are freely available too. It is approximately 10-20 mins walk from Bath Spa station and only 5min walk back to the city centre. Ideally situated for getting around. Loved my stay here, special mention to Debbee who is fantastic.

The loctation is good not far from bath if your going out in the evening. Staff are friendly Rooms are tiny and basic ours had a fusty smell which wasn't very nice which was even worse in the bathroom shower which you couldn't swing a cat in so kept bumping my elbows and until the pub closed very noisy. Breakfast basic but OK Not worth the money to be honest

What a great find! Such a lovely ambiance, fabulous food, and excellent staff. Special thanks to Tom and Gabriella for taking such good care of us, and so warmly welcoming us like family. There’s a fabulous selection of delicious, traditional, authentic Greek dishes - whether you are looking for just a hot or cold snack, or something more substantial. Plus, seriously tasty desserts! Everything is homemade and fresh - truly outstanding. Jars Meze restaurant also offers an appealing selection of beverages including local wine specialties. They have outdoor seating available - ideal for al-fresco dining as the weather warms up; and - for those who prefer to be indoors - their upstairs dining room is beautifully decorated and evocative of a memorable Greek holiday. Highly recommended!

I've been coming here as the generations change, and even the family that runs it (two sisters now) change their own circumstances. It has been consistently clean and harmonious, providing generous servings of food, ale in excellent condition and served with amiability. I just wish it was in walking distance.
