As ever, Duncan and his team were great hosts, the mixed grill, fish and chips and the curry went down a dream, as did the Doom Bar (hic) Looking forwards to our visit next year on on yearly golf trip b

Extremely rude landlord , booked for food, 7:30 on a Saturday night. Got told we had 5 mins to order and if there’s nothing on the menu to say they do GF they don’t! Obviously we left without eating!

Absolutely brilliant meal and service. Full marks to Duncan at the team for looking after us on both Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd September. Meals are very reasonably priced, highly recommended the beef madras, steak pie and mixed grill. Great selection of beers although there wasn’t a lot left after we had visited 🍺🥃😄. Staff couldn’t do enough to make sure we were looked after. Can’t wait to visit again next year, great work guys.

Great local pub, and lives up to its name - landlord and locals very friendly indeed! Would recommend calling in if in the area!

People who read my reviews may know that if my wife or myself are not happy with an experience, our first reference is to the people of that establishment. Well, we were asked what we thought of the meals and they were told that the gammon was of poor quality and it contained an inordinate amount of fat and gristle. My Beef Madras was more akin to a Vesta packet curry which some of the older patrons will no doubt remember. There was very little beef to say that it should have been the main constituent. What beef there was, amounted to off cuts of a poor quality meat. The response to this by the Landlady, was, pathetically, a shrug of the shoulders. One can only summarise the response as being utterly and totally apathetic. Sadly, this sort of review from me is amongst the few and far between. I can only hope that some improvements can come as a result of this type of review.

We enjoyed a lovely traditional Sunday lunch with a friendly and nice atmosphere, we will be sure to make it a regular event, need to support our local pubs.

Never again food excellent people that run it no idear 20 lads should have been sat down at 7 but no 18 people before us and we were at 4.30

Couldn't fault anything at the Friendship..staying at the local golf complex , we enjoyed a couple of nights at the pub were the meals and service for the 6 of us was spot on..thanks

Fell upon this pub by accident and wow, service was great food was delicious all homemade and very good quality tasty ingredients, very friendly, especially the locals who all make you feel very welcome, would put pictures on but we've scoffed the lot.!!

Locals who all know each other by name, good beer, woodburning stove, decent home cooked food, Sunday lunch pool killer, plus dog friendly for Millie my German Shepherd. A great hour or two of fun.

This landlord has no people skills, and is quite unpleasant we will not be going again! We did not eat and the beer wasn't great either.

After having to stand up even though there were several empty tables with reserved signs on, in an already packed pub our enjoyment was further soured by a constant yapping of a dog, we was here over an hour and this continued the full time we were there, despite half hearted attempts by the owner to stop it. Why do people insist on taking their dogs to pubs if their going to be restless like this??

Me, "Sorry to be awkward, but my Coke is flat". Landlord, "It's not flat, I can see bubbles in it". Me, "I'm not making it up, it's flat". Landlord, "Well I can do you another one, but it'll be exactly the same, there's nothing wrong with it. It's because you've had ice in it". Me, "I've ordered lots of Coke with ice in it in the past and it isn't usually flat". He then grudgingly provided another glass of £3 flat Coke, with no ice. Unbelievable.

Homemade pie,mash and veg is perfect, full of flavour and served piping hot,shocked at how low priced my dish was,should be a tenner all day long. Will definitely be bringing my family for future visit 👍👍

We live local and it’s the first visit since the new owners took over. I had the Steak & Ale Pie and my partner had a Pork Sunday Roast. Two empty plates went back. The Steak pie was a proper pastry cased pie with mash and veg and gravy. Although I think the veg was frozen and same goes for the roast pots the meal was value for money. The tip from me would be to serve the gravy separate so this gives you the choice of how much you use. All in all a good meal and will definitely be back to try something else 😋

My husband and myself had visited our son and his wife who live in the village on Bank Holiday Monday and after assisting with some DIY, they offered to buy us a meal at their local. On entering the pub we were welcomed by all the locals enjoying a pint and a game of pool - lovely Bank Holiday atmosphere! Our son introduced us to Liz and Duncan, the new landlady and landlord, who were very friendly and welcoming. They stated they were serving food and we found a table and soon ordered from the menu which was quite full and varied. My husband ordered the steak and ale pie, mash and veg, my son and daughter-in-law ordered the Hunter's Chicken and I had the Southern fried chicken burger with chips. The meals arrived very swiftly and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tasty plates full. My son and myself had desserts - chocolate fudge cake and custard and I had the treacle sponge and ice-cream. Both were good sized portions and extremely delicious. I would recommend this traditional good pub to anyone who wants a tasty, hearty meal at a great price and a friendly atmosphere. We'll be back!

Been visiting this place on our annual golf trip for 15 years,now has new landlords who are welcoming and courteous, it was busier then previous years that we visited, the food was excellent with very reasonable prices for food and drink,if your in the area I would thoroughly recommend it,the pub has been decorated in and out and has a welcoming atmosphere, we thoroughly enjoyed our visits there this week and will be back next year

Somos muy locales para este pub y hemos estado trabajando durante muchos años. Los últimos 6 o más meses han sido difíciles, ya que solo han contado con propietarios cuidadores. Bueno, ahora tenemos a Duncan y Liz que lo han asumido. Qué cambio. El lugar siempre está ocupado cuando entramos y mi hija de 16 meses siempre es bienvenida. Este es un fabuloso pub familiar local y la comida y la cerveza son excepcionales. Estamos muy contentos de tener a nuestro local de vuelta y lo frecuentaremos en los próximos años.

M. carvery y que necesitábamos reservar. así que pedimos 2 carvery de carne de vacuno. y una mesa para las 5 p.m. llegamos a pub @ 16: 45

Called in for first-time in a few years. Still same big car park. Nice open fire places and added benefit of sport on the TV. Beer tastes good. Good place to stop after round of golf

Had a lovely Sunday lunch today (2 adults, 2 children) - very friendly atmosphere and welcoming throughout. Thick sliced roast beef, giant Yorkshire pud, plenty of vegetables, optional mash - would highly recommend.

Habíamos reservado en el Día de las madres, una mesa para 4 después de haber estado aquí el mes anterior. El pub sólo comencé a hacer comidas a finales de febrero y comercio es recoger. Es un buen trabajo que hicimos por lo demás no tengo en muy concurrido almuerzo. Hoy fue una comida de dos platos, entrante y plato principal, pero había casa budines caseros si se requiere. Tuve el paté de carne cocida y el lento mustardy. El paté era buena y sabrosa, sin embargo me gusta mi patés con tostadas y este fue con pan crujiente. Campo principal era de ternera, patatas cocidas, asadas, verduras budín de Yorkshire y tres diferentes. No había lugar para budines. Un ambiente agradable y amable, un terrateniente es una buena recuperación para el pueblo de tener un local que sirve comida encantadora, bien hecho, Steve y equipo. Seguiremos apoyando a nuestros locales para disfrutar de la nueva preciosa y comidas chefs razonable.

Decidimos probar este pub como es nuestro local y ha adquirido un nuevo chef, el pub no había sido capaz de ofrecer comidas por un tiempo, sin duda desde que nos mudamos al pueblo el pasado mes de septiembre. Habíamos estado en una copa un par de veces en el pasado, y el propietario siempre nos recibió con una sonrisa y una charla. Sirve comida siempre se suma a la atracción de un local y añade los ingresos en la forma de ventas húmedo así como comida de tomas. Hemos oído que iba a ser un nuevo chef hace un par de semanas, y aunque no hay forma de nueva publicidad fuera del pub, palabra ya está propagando. . . Y con razón.

Me sentí obligado a escribir este domingo siguiente almuerzo en la amistad con mi familia. Los asados del domingo era para morirse. La carne fue dos rodajas gruesas de carne mustardy cocinado a la perfección. Mi esposa e hijas pareja que tanto Turquía dijeron era el más sabroso que he tenido y mi hija tenía el cerdo, que de nuevo era dos rebanadas gruesas y con gran cuñas de chispeante que estaban cocinados a la perfección. Todas las carnes estaban servidos con una montaña de puré de verduras consistentes, coliflor casera queso, frijoles bien, zanahorias baby y finalmente col. De nuevo con las verduras cocinadas a la perfección y acristalamiento, cuando proceda, en la mantequilla. Fantástica comida a precios realistas (8 libras. 95). El nuevo chef ha introducido las siguientes noches temáticas: jueves noche, viernes noche curry chippy, noches de barbacoa y cenas sábado asado los domingos. Varios de nuestros amigos han comido en estas noches y todos los informes eran cómo la comida era excelente. Realmente espero que esta crítica ayude a atraer a los clientes que pueden tener se alejaba en otras partes, el pub no estaba haciendo la comida. Nice friendly atmosphere and staff, only stayed for drinks and to socialise but very pleasant evening out.

A lovely welcome and nice atmosphere even though it was the three of us and the bar staff (Tuesday lunch time) Great food, we had three different starters and were all fresh and cooked to order, Buffalo wings, prawn cocktail and vegetable soup. we all had the chicken wrapped in bacon with a blue cheese sauce, salad, chips and vegetables and was the biggest chicken fillet we've ever seen and was very nice. Very clean throughout. Traditional old pub with cask ales. Plenty of parking too. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Terrific food, lovely beer, brilliant atmosphere, very friendly staff and excellent Landlord. What more do you need?

El Tony y yo hemos estado yendo a la amistad Inn en Laughterton por unas pocas semanas. Este ultra-limpio y bien presentado pub está en un edificio antiguo con muchas vigas del techo y una cómoda zona de asientos. La comida es fantástica. Si quieres hamburguesas prueba: 8 onzas de carne baja recién en la cocina y servido con salchichas y bacon salsa. O ir a la hora del almuerzo para un bocado ligero" con precios razonables, pero con raciones más generosas. El hígado y el tocino se sirve con cremoso puré de patatas, verduras muy frescos, recién preparada a la orden (y todavía un poco crujiente - Yum) y ricos sabrosa salsa de cebolla. Todas las comidas y los postres son fabulosos, con una comida de pub, que se podrían esperar de un establecimiento de su hermana de La Fuente Tuxford (que era Pub del año en el Times recientemente). Really friendly & helpful staff, serving really good home made food. A bit of a wait but worth waiting for.Could do with a bit of TLC/mini refurb even. Atmosphere was nice enough :)Don't do kids meals on a Sunday. Would visit again though.

We were a group of about 12 out on a walk and called in for snacks. It's a small friendly local pub, we just had snacks rather than full meals, but the landlord worked flat out to get our food orders done as quickly as pos, made us feel welcome and even came out to take a group photo for us. The food we had was fine, esp the chunky chips/wedges!

Stayed nearby at the golf complex so spent our evenings here for food and drinks. Had a great time. The newish landlord was much more accommodating than the previous one (we had a group of 15 golfers and he found space for us and took advance food orders to speed things up) and the food was much improved. He also contributed to our prizes for the golf weekend, a nice touch.
