Food was very tasty order done kebab and chicken was very tasty

Been here twice now and its been closed both times. Dont waste your time!

Got food poisoning from their mixed kebab

Avoid ! Over 1.5 hr for delivery....wrong order ! So disappointed chips obviously left out for a while .

Only gave 1 star as cannot give 0! Scam place! They do not deliver food that has been ordered. Avoid at all costs

Took payment via just eat at 10pm. 11pm it stated food was delivered. Shops closed. In correct number on Google and the number just eat provided says the mail box is full. I had my child with me who was very unhappy after all the waiting and vomiting feeling unwell she agreed to eat fish. Took my money. Not gave the food. No contact info. Complete wrong minded people.

Takes orders online and doesnt deliver them. Phone number doesnt work. Scam place

Tried for the first time tonight, a mix of battered chips and normal chips with mixed chicken kebab and salad Very nice chips and kebab meat most definitely will be going again.

By far the best fish and chips shop I've had deliveries off. Best tasting kebab with salad so much flavour. Had large cod and chips there too also really nice plus both times I've ordered they have given me something extra for nothing. I couldn't recommend The Friary enough well done guys 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Always friendly and more importantly so clean that you don't smell the frying oil.

Fish is always cooked while you wait. It is always worth the wait too. Spotlessly clean. Pleasant friendly staff.

Food was over 3 hours after we ordered- lied to us repeatedly when we phoned asking where it was claiming it was only 10 minutes away 2 hours before it actually arrived, when we demanded a refund started swearing at us. Don't give them your business

I used to go here every weekend.New owners now. I had chicken,fish and chips. Chips were dark in colour. Chicken was very old hard has been in the counter over 6hours. Never again. Will close down within few months.

Spotlessly clean, fresh food, generous portions and very friendly service. I can't fault the place, the owner clearly takes pride in his business. Good value for money too.

First visit to this chip shop. Food was great, service was also good. Large Cod was cooked fresh to order. The manager gave us complimentary curry sauce and peas. Really pleased. Will go again.

Best chippy around lovely staff

Ordered Medium Kebab meat with tomato and onion salad with Chilli & Mayo and 2 Mini fish and chips and a scallop. After waiting about 15 mins, Chips were old and shrivelled, fish smells like a dirty harbour, what little kebab meat served was cold, the chilli & mayo was a pityful amount under the food, and did not give me any salad at all, also scallop was double cooked, obviously from lunch time. This is the worst experience with a chip shop I have ever had, clearly full of false reviews. Think I will stick to what I know in future and go the Kent Road Chippy.

Have never ever had a bad meal from this place and the staff are out this world as for the owner what nice man he is

Tried The Friary Tuesday dinner time after The Friary being recommended by a family member. Had mini fish and chips which were both cooked fresh and tasted delicious. The gent behind the counter very pleasant and friendly. Well worth a visit.

Food is ok from here but a bit of a rip off on just eat. Just eat app says no minimum order and £1.50 delivery charge. We are only down road so thought great. But if you don't spend £13 above you are charged £3 for deliver. You have to spend over that for £1.50 charge.

First time order tonight I ordered drinks with my food an the driver accidentally forgot to give them me I paid an didn't realise myself either until I was giving everyone their food then 20 minutes later someone knocks my door I open it an the driver must of realised I didn't have my drinks so he turned around to deliver me the drinks an couldn't apologise enough I thought this was amazing!!! Not many drivers In my experience would of taken the time to turn around and come back an the food was lovely an was also delivered hot unlike some restaurants who aren't too fussed about if the foods hot or cold so I will definitely be ordering again soon THANK YOU!!
