Absolutely disgusting food. We had Sunday dinner. The turkey was processed smoked crap. The veg watery frozen crap. Yorkshire's tough. Mash had clumps of unmixed powder. 1 of our party had a beard hair on the Yorkshire pudding. No apologies when I mentioned I was not happy about them serving processed smoked turkey which I cannot eat. Just...I will let the chef know....umm let the chef know what? . The place advertises turkey not processed crap. Wil never return. No wonder it was quite empty. Everybody wise of the frozen processed crap. Very very poor management. Which.manager would ignore an unhappy customer. Absolute disgrace .

We visit here frequently, mostly for dinner and we sometimes stay for the quiz. The staff are some of the kindest and attentive you’ll ever find. I’m part of a big family so we often have to squeeze a few tables together to fit us all in and they’re always super accommodating. Whenever we visit, Wendy is there giving the best service possible - she must never go home! She’s kind, caring and gives the best service you can imagine. The food is exactly what you’d want at a pub and is always fast and super hot. I’ve been going for years and the quality has gone up and down, but for the past year or so it’s been amazing.

Smashing - good pub grub which came promptly and great staff (Wendy especially). Booking a table was easy and we're going back next week.

Second consecutive visit. 1st visit joined quiz we really enjoyed it staff especially Wendy works like a Trojan - has an eye on everything very attentive making sure customers are well taken care of tidying cleaning serving meals and always with a smile on her face. A shout out for the guy behind the bar with a beard who came over to our table to ask if everything was alright for us. And another shout out for the quizmaster extraordinaire for keeping everything tickityboo and lots of fun too. Enjoyed last week's visit so much we went back and also had a meal less than £23 for 4 meals - you just can't fault it well done all. 1 minor negative it does say dog friendly when my daughter turned up with the dog we were informed by another member of staff that dogs are permitted in a designated area only - our meals had just been served so we had to move to another table but it was done very quickly.

There was 25 of us, there for mams memory, we where looked after by wendy beautiful lady. The food was excellent and service was spot on, which made it a very excellent night.

Veey well taken care of by attentive hostess (Abbey) who was very good while at the same time not being over bearing as some places i have been lately. Will definetly come again.

Lovely tea, reasonable prices and top staff. Had steaks, mixed grills, loads of drinks including shots, pints and cocktails

Came here with my partner, and enjoyed a lovely meal, ordered off the 2 for £12.99 menu, was pleasantly surprised by the portion size of the meals, everything was spot on, staff where quick and attentive, Cory on the bar was very knowledgeable about the menu/prices. Will definitely be back!

The Sunday lunch in here was lovely and the meat just melt in the mouth. I was in here today with my son for belated Mother's Day treat. I gave the chef compliments for cooking the amazing dinner and all other foods too. Your member of staff called Wendy was so cheerful with a big smile on her face and she even went out of her way to get me a steak knife when my son asked her.

I've had several very satisfactory meals here, it's handy for me and reasonably priced. Thought I'd treat myself to a steak on 13/3/24 and ordered a sirloin. Not sure what cut I was served but as much gristle as meat. Won't make that mistake again.

Great spot very friendly staff. Would defo recommend value for money and always look after you! Kids always very welcome

Went for a lovely family meal today. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. The pub had a friendly atmosphere and our server, Cory was particularly helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The worse flat bread we’ve had. Waited 45 mins but to then get a spicy sausage that is two sausages covered in sauce and virtually no chicken for the piri piri was the worse meal we’ve had.

Went on Xmas eve to this venue as I do every year. This year decided to book table for 1.30pm arrived shower to table. Got drinks chatted and decided on food. Went to bar to order food at about 2.15pm on returning to seat I was told I would have to vacate table at 3pm as bookings were for only 90 mins and this is in terms and conditions. There's no mention on booking confirmation or reminders of this. They could have mentioned this on arrival. I said I've just ordered food. They came back and said they would sort something out. Food did not arrive til 3.20pm, which I understand as pub was busy. At which point I was told I would have to vacate table at 4.30pm. I asked if there was any other table available they said no. The family rushed there food. I had said they could have dessert but did not have time. I spent nearly £140 at this point. This is supposed to be a family pub. What you supposed to do go in order food and leave didn't think this was a fast food restaurant. I was so disappointed with this whole event. Think they need to review there policies.

We went for a spot of food ,We had 3 steaks with chips and onion rings and 1 Chicken platter. The Steaks were done perfect and the sauces were very good. The chicken platter is more than enough for 1 person. All in all i would recommend people too eat there

Wow wow wow 5 star high quality food cooked to perfection I had the xl mixed grill which come sizzling and tasted fantastic my fiance had fish and chips was fresh fish hand battered, my mother had scampi which was whole tail scampi just wow Phil front of house was friendly and had loads of knowledge on allergies and made sure we felt welcomed

Excellent meal and excellent service from Philip, nothing was too much trouble. The food was really good and reasonably priced.. We'll definitely return.

Family of 11 and a little dog who was forgotten lol but went out of their way to accommodate us!!! 2 high chairs provided as asked and 9 meals all served together was just amazing. Went for a Christmas lunch and it was awful. The Turkey lunch came out completely covered in gravy. They should have served gravy in a jug. The vegetables were raw and inedible. One of our party was served the wrong lunch. I am never going back there

Everytime we come here, the service is amazing. The staff are lovely, in particular Benji, Bernie and Carla. Benji always remembers our orders and our discounts making the experience easy and pleasurable. Bernie has such lovely conversations and always makes us laugh. Amazing place.

What a beautiful friendly restaurant. All staff were nice and friendly. My friend and myself popped in for a quick bit to eat with her daughter as we were passing. I remember the gentlemen Ben, he was so great with my friends daughter. She's only 3 and was having a bit of a toddler moment when we came in, Ben spotted her straight away and calmed her so easily. He was amazing from that moment and throughout our visit here. We aren't local so was nice to have a friendly face there. Nothing was a trouble for him. Visited with my boyfriend on a little break in January, staff were lovely especially Ben who was very attentive and seemed very good with the kids who were in the pub at the time. Went in the dog friendly area to have a meal with my partner and daughter and poocha. We had a barman called Cory bring our food over and came back to ask if everything was ok with our food. Me and my 2 best friends and partners come for the pub quiz and some food. We get the offer of BOGOF burgers whilst waiting for the quiz so it works really well! We always enjoy our food and love the offer for a cheaper night! Cory is usually on the bar and serves us, always very friendly to us and makes sure we are happy with everything. Me and my dad often pop in with our dog for a meal or a couple drinks. The staff are always so friendly and always make such a fuss of our dog. I have been to foxhunters pub a few times. Always have a great night! All staff are friendly. Berni is very helpful and professional and makes you feel very welcome. Great experience. I highly recommend this pub for a relaxed yet fun night out. Great food too!

Good quality food, a clean tidy venue and friendly staff. I take my Son, 8 and Daughter, 16 for Tea roughly once a week or so. The Daughter absolutely loves the steaks and my Son is a big fan of the Desert’s!They always have football on the Screens situated around the pub too so that is always a bonus for Dad! The staff are always great with us particularly a lady called Wendy who looks after us whenever we visit, she always asks if we enjoyed our meals or has a little bit of banter with my son and nothing is too much bother. A genuinely nice Lady who makes sure you are looked after and is a credit to your Pub! If i had any gripe at all i’d say the drinks are a little bit pricey for a chain pub (£4.25 for a pint of San Miguel and £3.10 for a large coke) but the quality of food and service makes up for that! All in all a nice place to spend a couple of hours for food and a drink.

Fabulous food, very varied menu, plenty to suit all. I had 8oz rump steak and asked for medium rare, full compliments to the chef steak was a true medium rare. Other half had the mixed grill, again with true medium rare cooking and very picky daughter had the fully loaded chicken strips (without the sauce) and loved it. Our server Wendy was really friendly too. We will definitely be back.

3 of us often meet here. The reason why we do is that the food is a cut above the normal pub chain food. I have been to The Prince of Wales Jarrow recently and there is no comparison. I had macaroni cheese with a lovely dressed salad. The salad at the Prince of Wales was plain lettuce. Great service and welcome from the staff espe ially the lady I spoke too. I'm the old bloke with white hair.

Atmosphere is good ..heating just right. Service excellent and value For money massive choice of meals. No pressure to leave, excellent friendly staff. Clean toilets. My family group..6 of us..all enjoyed our time here.

Went to the foxhunters for the Sunday lunch with family to finish our last day visiting the north east. Mind you it looks okay from the outside, seating area was great. But other then that, What an absolute disappointment.Food came out cold for 2 of us, no one was around to even get it sorted. The drinks were only enjoyed to swallow the food as some of the veg didn’t even seem properly cooked in the first place. The staff that were in looked miserable and looked and acted like they could care less if they are working at foxhunters are not. Will not be back.
