Staff were ok but the service was terrible, waited approx one hour to be served our food and then when it did come one item was wrong but they did correct this when I informed them. The food was edible but I ordered tempura prawns and the batter was very thick same with the fish gougons. Not impressed and will not nutty back

I came back to this place to get the amazing steak and eggs I had the last time, and how I was disappointed with the same meal today, it was absolutely drowned in hollandaise sauce and that made the bread soggy and I couldn't really taste the food. The 2 other breakfasts were spot on, made to perfection 👌

Staff are nice enough. I had the smash burger, chips were really nice but the burger was flavourless and soggy.

Excellent range of tapas and generous portions. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. The tempura prawns were particularly good. Young friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend

We were a party of 2. Out for a lovely walk, and ended up in tynemouth, and thought we would grab a breakfast and a cold drink. So many beautiful places to choose from, but thought we would give ORA a try. What a mistake that was. I ordered Eggs Benedict, and my sister ordered a sausage sandwich. We waited 45 minutes before asking at the bar where our order was! )We had watched them bring out the wrong food to the wrong tables, then disappear back upstairs with it!) The girl behind the bar was pretty clueless and made up some excuse about something not working after going up to the kitchen to see where our food was. She eventually came and said they can make us our food but it would be another 15 minute wait, which we agreed to and asked for another round of drinks. The breakfast eventually came. The egg was hard poached and not soft (eggs Benedict is soft poached) and there was actually only 1 egg between the 2 toast 😂. The drinks order never turned up, you couldn’t write it 😂. We watched another 2 families get up and ask for a refund as they had clearly got tired of waiting with no communication! The place wasn’t very busy, hence why we were surprised at the lack of communication, and lack of customer service! I tried to contact them via Social Media, because I feel it’s only fair to give someone the chance to rectify problems, but they have read the message and never bothered to get back to me. VERY POOR SERVICE, and MAJOR lack of customer service

Felt sorry for the staff. Obviously not enough! Better management and training needed. Tissues over the floor in restaurant area and toilets. We enjoyed the food once it arrived.

Flooding the fish with barbecue sauce to cover the burnt is cheap.

Went for a birthday meal and was very disappointed. We waited over 1 hour for our food. When it arrived the order was incorrect. We ordered pulled pork nachos and the meat sizzler with fries. The fish sizzler arrived and no pork on the nachos. They took the fish sizzler away but left the nachos and fries. We were told 7 mins for the remaining food but this took 20 mins, by this point the chips were cold so we had just meat and no nachos as we ate those while waiting. The sizzler was disappointing and just not enjoyable. There was no belly pork as advertised. The service was not great either. Would not return again. The manager did not come to discuss the complaint and did not handle it professionally either.

Kicking off our Tynemouth adventure with tapas at Ora. The food was gorgeous, the sun was shining and the music was nostalgic (it's been too long since I listened to the Strokes!!). The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable about dietary requirements; the checked our orders and advised how dishes could be changed so they were gluten-free. The were careful to identify which orders were gluten-free when served to us. And a good vegetarian selection of dishes too. Thank you!

I've been to Ora before and loved the food although the service has always been a bit slow. However today we were seated for half an hour and no one even looked in our direction let alone offered us drinks. A table of four sat next to us about 15 minutes after us and still had to wait 15 minutes to be served. The waiter eventually went straight to their table with no acknowledgement that we were even there. They were ordering a bottomless brunch which clearly was going to take an age to order and the waiter still made no indication that he would come to us next. We stood up to leave as we were livid and he never even looked up. Another waitress spent the whole time cleaning tables and didnt serve at all. Really sad because I was looking forward to eating there but never again.

Had the King breakfast this morning - I think is the best breakfast in the area . I only marked the atmosphere down because of the music. Something more chilled would be better for the morning.

Food was alright, but could be better. Ordered medium steak and chicken fajitas. Steak came more than well-done, which was disappointing. Fajitas were delicious but with huge chunks of chicken and paprikas - had to cut everything by myself. Staff was friendly but overwhelmed with work (only 2 waitresses for the whole restaurant).

Absolutely fab Sunday brunch at Ora. The sausage and egg muffin was epic. Familiar, but very much elevated!!!

The staff were extremely rude ignoring us for over 30 minutes and had an awful attitude however the food was okay

took about 5 minutes to get a DRINKS menu given to us after being seated. staff made fun of how I pronounced Mahou. confusing on how we get the drinks as they were so unorganised. Staff took ages to serve just 2 people. took about 5 minutes to get a pint delivered with the place half empty. QR code on the tables don't even work. never going again. People were leaving half of their plates as they didn't like them.

We had breakfast with our baby. The place was proper dirty (whole mushrooms on the floor, cabinet doors open, sticky tables, toilet rolls finished on the windowsill,…) and stunk of beer. Not very welcoming. Tomatoes in kings breakfast were out of a can (plum tomatoes with the sauce) and microwaved. In my opinion I think there are Nicer places around the area.

Went in got the biggest breakfast they had was done perfectly tasted gorgeous 10 out of 10 ate the lot got to be best breakfast I've ever had 21 pound money well spent well done to all in ora will be going back for more

A lovely, modern venue and only a short walk away from Tynemouth beachfront. There is a varied menu on offer, with breakfast options, standard mains and a variety of tapas dishes to choose from. I opted for the chicken fajitas with twice cooked chips, which was decent quality and well priced. All in all, I'd happily recommend visiting if in the area.

Ora has a really great atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food let it down. I've visited three times over the past 12 months and each time, there was an issue with the food either being cold, undercooked, or in one instance, having a drink served in a cup encrusted with drinking stains from a previous customer. It's a shame, because Ora used to be incredible, and it does have so much potential as a venue.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday with my family at Ora. It was wonderful, lovely cocktails and food was great, plenty of variety to suit everyone. Lovely atmosphere and the service was excellent {with a special mention for Catelyn who tended to our every need with a smile}. Would definately go back to Ora.

The food was fine, I had pitta bread with tzatziki, goats cheese, and pulled pork tortilla. There was nothing wrong with it, just not as great as I'd expected from previous reports, could have been a little warmer but that was partly my own fault for choosing to sit outside. Staff were very friendly and helpful, great service.

Had the fish and chips and a couple hours later was throwing up.

Menu was misleading about price of tapas special, however we should have read small print. That a side food was over rated and very salty, very disappointed.

Hi all just been for tapas and got the meai deal, it's a rip off we were not told the deal is for 1 person only. That means it will cost £36 for 2. If you buy the normal tapas it will cost approximately £27. Apart from that the food is very good. Don't like leaving a restaurant feeling hungry.

Great food, and a nice atmosphere. However, I'd advise taking cash - 15mins of trying two cards, on two machines, and staff waving the card reader around looking for a signal wasn't great. I had to go and withdraw cash.

Tasty food , extremely small portions , not your normal tapa portion size . Why is it necessary to cut down this much , I understand costs etc but when your paying 8 pounds for 3 prawns in some sauce the world has gone mad. Lovely staff.

We went in on Saturday evening around 6pm. Service was good, I would say we had drinks to the table in 10 minutes and food in 30 mins. Food was delicious and fairly priced, best dish we got was the tempura prawns. 6 dishes between 2 was plenty enough, will be returning!

Tasty food , reasonable prices. It has a ramp entrance so easy to get in with a buggy or those in a wheelchair. It has a disabled toilet and baby change. There are also seats outside but can't comment on those as we sat inside. I had Eggs Royale for £11. On the photo is also a small English Breakfast too, don't remember how much was that. Coffee is okay.

Went on a Sunday. It was really busy but managed to get a table as others were leaving. Staff were great and made space for me and the family of 4 including a baby. The ultimate breakfast was definitely the best I've had in a long time and will be returning when in the area. Recommend this if looking for somewhere for breakfast for sure

Been here a few times and I have highly recommended it, but today was a very bad experience Booked table for 1pm, no probs Ordered food Waited Over 1hr for food (I've seen it a lot busier) Food came out in drips n drabs, some of the dishes were missing Ordering drinks was the same, Waitress spilled arribiatta sauce(quite a bit) on my pants and shoes Highly disappointed visit **reply to owner** Firstly, my daughter was not near the waitress, my daughter was on my right and the waitress on my left, I was inbetween hence why the sauce landed on me Secondly, we were not informed of a wait for food And if I want to write a bad review I will, that's the point of a review, so people can see how a place has been rated, excellent or in your case on this particular day very disappointing As I have said in previous review, it's normally excellent I will put it down to yous being 'very busy' but not as busy as previous visits

First time trying here and it certainly won't be the last. Service was ok bearing in mind it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Food was amazing! Decided to try a couple of tapas plates and a side. I had the chilli with tortilla's and the fish goujouns with a side of onion rings and although there was a bit of a wait for food it was well worth it, everything was cooked fresh and arrived piping hot. I did however think the chilli was overpriced for the portion size but everything thing else more than made up for it, fish goujouns were amazing. Now.. I have a bit of a thing for onion rings and they weren't an option on the sides menu but I'd noticed they came with the steaks so I asked my server if it would be possible to have them as a side and she initially said no but then went to check with the chef and he/she kindly said they could do it.. Soooo pleased that they did, best onion rings I've ever tasted in my life bearing in mind I've visited 12 states in the U.S and work in central London 5 days per month. (would go back just for them). Whoever is responsible for those rings of joy thank you. Ora you are so lucky to have some amazing chefs, please don't lose them. Sorry I didn't think to take any pics, was too busy enjoying my food.

Lovely food. We arrived during a torrential rain shower and it was very busy. We were seated pretty quickly. The wait for our food was very long, and when it came not one of us got the bread we ordered for our sandwiches (brown and stotties) All got white sliced bread. But due to long wait and hunger we decided to just eat.

Booked table for 1pm, table not ready. Table was in a walkway so had to move every time someone wanted past. Drinks took forever to arrive, ordered food it took 50mins to arrive minus calamari and padron peppers, of which there were only 5 peppers. Ordered coke zero 3 times before it finally arrived. Upon clearing table waitress dropped waste food on one of the party half hearted apology. Portions were tiny for the price, not a patch on previous visits.

Absolutely fabulous bottomless brunch. Carmen who served us could not have been better. Drinks appeared as we were finishing the last round, food was delicious. Totally fantastic experience. We will definitely be back.

The service is great. The food portions are tiny. 3 prawns for £10? 5 pedron peppers for £8? All just topped up with a salad base to make portions look larger. Very poor. Not worth money

Great atmosphere staff very friendly and the food was lovely definitely will be re visiting ,we only stopped off here while on a bike ride as it was busy on the high street.

Ora was always a family favourite but for the last 2-3 years it’s rapidly going down hill. The food is below average, served undercooked! Some staff is amazing, some of the younger girls very arrogant. We won’t be returning anymore

Went for breakfast on a chilly Sunday morning. The cold continued in the restaurant which was disappointing. Food was okay, big breakfast was standard stuff. No butter for what was supposed to be toast, toaster must have been broken because it was pretty pale., beans were lukewarm and runny, very poor quality. The rest was okay. Pancakes were huge and covered in chocolate, on closer inspection the bottom was burnt. Other food, sandwiches and Eggs Benedict were fine. I personally do not understand how you send out burnt food, you know it should be in the bin but I end up paying for it. The end result is a review that shows little has changed in this place for years. Still the same hit and miss fayre that you always get. The final straw was a chef *cough walking past the table and passing wind loudly as he went on his merry way. Pretty much the cherry on top of bang average breakfast. You only get one chance and he blew it, literally.

We love Ora we have been coming for years. Our children choose it as a birthday restaurant. We came for mine and my daughter’s birthday at 5pm. Atmosphere was rowdy. Food came two dishes had to go back as they were stone cold. They did apologise and did re cook. What we did have was nice and staff friendly but don’t think we would return which is a shame and we are quite disappointed as we loved it.

Relaxed casual atmosphere. Good deals for cocktails. Tapas we're excellent generous proportions. The things which will definitely get us returning are a) Dog friendly b) Geordie Banger sausages provided for all three dogs!

Great Venue, Warm bright and comfortable. Only window seats available but they were comfy and we settled happily. We decided on lentil soup with added extra of ham hock but unfortunately we were later informed they had sold out of the ham hock. The soup looked lovely and actually tasted home made, unfortunately it was over salted. We both tried to struggle through but couldn’t finish it, when we asked for the bill we mentioned how salty it was ( they just needed to taste it themselves to know it was inedible) However no further comment was made and the bill included the ham hocks which we hadn’t had, so that was adjusted. Orla has the potential to be fabulous and I know many people love it there. It was our first visit and maybe we were unlucky. However if I customer mentions some issue which is easily identifiable as correct I do think they should have acted upon it. Will I return ? Probably not simply for that reason. Don’t ignore a customer if something isn’t right.

Visited for works Xmas lunch/party, seated upstairs at 2pm, only table in. Waited 30 minutes for drinks and then for food order to be taken. Venue was absolutely freezing, we asked for heating to be turned up and were told it was on max, you could actually see your breath in the toilets, very uncomfortable and we sat with coats over our legs. We ordered cocktails, the Mojitos were sent back as they just tasted like soda water, no lime, mint, sugar or rum, after that we stayed with spirits or beers. Food- we ordered a selection of tapas to share, they were brought out and placed on table, we had to ask for plates to put our food on, to be told ‘I’ll bring those once I’ve brought all the food out, ok?’ And walked away. Well no it’s not okay, the food is going cold whilst 1 person runs back n forth to kitchen. Side plates eventually arrive, plates are cold and now food is like warm. The sliders which you pay extra for, are served in a brioche bun which is stale/hard enough to use as a weapon and obviously spent far too long under the heatlamp! Tempura prawns were poor, looked like frozen fresh water ones, scotch bonnet chilli had no heat. Vegetarian arancini, meatballs and the hummus were the nicest dishes. Left to find a warmer venue, told the server that had it been warmer we would have stayed longer and spent more. Advice- choose somewhere else Overall poor experience,

Had breakfast sandwich. 4 of us agreed bacon or sausage between 2 slices of toast not the best. After recent visits to Liosis, Kith and Kin and Di Meos perhaps we expect better as certainly the coffee at these places was exceptional and pretty poor at Ora. My advice would be invest in a better coffee machine. However, after many visits to Ora, the ambience and service is excellent and we'll certainly return, but for evening meal.

The food wasn't exceptional for the price we paid. The extra cost for the Trio of Sliders was not worth the extra cost as they were dry. I don't think I will return.

Amazing brunch food was of high standard all piping hot. Venue was a little on the cold side. 🥶

Bottomless Brunch. Excellent value. The food was absolutely delicious, best tapas we’ve had for a very long time. The whole experience was amazing. Special shout out to our server Catelyn. She was outstanding. So friendly and professional, felt like a friend even though we’d just met her. Any business would be very lucky to have her on staff. Fantastic experience and very highly recommended.

Fabulous bottomless brunch. The tapas selection was excellent and very tasty and the two male staff members serving the food and drinks were great. Always at hand to fill up our drinks. This was a Wowcher deal and we would definitely return.

I had a "Luxury seafood salad" which consisted,according to rhe menu of King prawns,squid,mussels and clams. This was £14.95. Disappointed as it came minus the king prawns. There was only squid on it. Sent it back and it returned to the table with one mangled muscle! But with 6 King prawns. Service was good but I do think the server should have noticed the dish she was serving was incomplete. Don't like to complain but on this occasion the main ingredient was missing!

Cocktails were on the offer 2 for £12.00 they were no bigger than an egg cup. Not value for money. The business obviously thought this marketing ploy to rip off customers is ok. Making of one cocktail charging for 2 would go unnoticed. Please avoid they were a complete rip off!! I will stick to Alllards in future.

Just had fabulous bottomless brunch at Ora today. Food was absolutely delicious. Drinks refilled often and staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Very good tapas. We loved the Thai chicken and Thai prawns.

We went here the day before we went on holiday. I must say we werent disappointed. Staff are friendly enough and come and see you reasonably quickly. The food was served after a reasonable time and was quite good tasting. No real complaints and we will return. Also prices are quite good as well.

Visited Ora on 23/09 and purchased Bottomless Brunch and paid extra for cocktails which was well worth it, one of the best BB I have had and I’ve done a few, the staff were all brilliant and attentive and big thanks goes to Josh who kept the cocktails coming, Sarah for great FOH and daisy. I’ve booked another BB so looking forward to returning as the Tapas was lovely too well worth the money.

Visited Ora for my birthday. It was wonderful. The atmosphere, drinks, service and food were amazing. We ordered 6 tapas between us. Delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely awful. Ordered a platter. The bread was dry and tasted stale. We were overcharged and had to question the bill. To top it off I have been violently sick throughout the night. I really would avoid.

1 out of 5… probably the poorest ever. Just wanted something to pick at, so ordered “breads with dips” …. 2 dips… 1 god only knows what it was…the other some sort of humus that needed sliced! The breads….wow..all stale, cannot express how poor this was. Twice cooked chips… would have been nice if they’d been cooked twice TODAY!!! No condiments, had to ask for salt, vinegar, pepper, ketchup etc and it was as if we’d asked for the world!!! Waitress totally un-interested, sighing at every request.

Could do with some heating but aside from that, food was delicious, service was great and staff were lovely and welcoming-would definitely recommend. Bonus points for how lush the milkshakes were😍

Fab tapas and big portions. Could not fault the service. The staff never allowed my wife's glass to empty. Highly recommended. Will definitely return.

Me and my husband went for bottomless brunch yesterday and it certainly didn't dissapoint. Food was really nice - you get 6 tapas dishes between 2 and it is way more than enough! Drinks - you couldn't finish your drink without them already topping you up! Sam and Daisy were excellent and very attentive, service with a smile! Thanks guys! Will certainly be back

The food was absolutely lovely, we had Tapas and it tasted really good! The wine wasn't great unfortunately. I think the bottle might have been open a while. I booked it for my birthday stating this on the online booking but there wasn't any recognition of this when I gave them my booking on entrance. When we walked in, alot of the tables were dirty and I couldn't tell the staff from the customers. It was boiling hot outside and absolutely freezing inside. The restaurant had more of a feel of a bar to it and when I went to use the toilets 2 of them wouldn't lock. When I booked it online it looked like a lush restaurant. The waiting staff were friendly but a bit distant and forgot our cutlery after giving us food. The food was really tasty but I probably wouldn't go again as it felt like I was sat in a freezing sports bar having nice food, it was just a bit of a confused place. Prefer pleased to meet you next door.

We went for a family breakfast and paid a lot of money for what we had. On arrival we ordered our drinks which took around 25 minutes to arrive. They served wrong drinks, coffees came with no spoons and no sweeteners. We then ordered our breakfasts and it took from arriving there 1 hour to be served. That would of been fine however the food was not cooked to our liking. One order was steak and eggs, the steak was overcooked ( they never asked how we wanted it ) and poached eggs were hard boiled. Our family member who ordered this has a severe allergy and it came with a sauce ( not advertised ) so we had to get all the ingredients to triple check they would be ok. The rest of the breakfasts were all English ones and out of 12 poached eggs only 4 were cooked right !! The toast came with no butter and we had to ask twice for sauces. The sausage was very cheap and they were all Luke warm too. I wanted to complain but my children asked me not too. I have emailed you 3 times and you have not responded. Please avoid and go elsewhere. Please

Been here before but tonight was not too good. Service was great but two tiny margaritas were less than impressive. Main course arrived which we didn’t order; seafood platter instead of paella. Paella takes a good 30 minutes but ours was back in five with most of the platter mixed with rice. Very disappointed especially since I’ve always enjoyed the food here.

Waited over an hour for a pasta without chicken when the restaurant wasn’t full. Give yourself plenty of time if you wanna eat here. Waitress did her best tho.

I have just had lunch here with my daughter,granddaughter's and grandson the food was amazing I would recommend the tapas and the macaroni cheese was really tasty to.

Food was good and not overpriced but fish and chips on a wooden chopping board and paper was not the best! Very messy to eat, which was a shame as the fish was excellent. Stop being pretentious and use plates. It's what they're for!

we tried ORA’s new afternoon tea and all I can say is wow! Food was so fresh and so much detail put into the presentation. We went for the Prosecco and cocktail option and we definitely got our moneys worth! We were served by eve and annabel and they never let our glasses go empty, they were so accommodating and really made our experience 10/10! Will definitely be coming back

We hadn't booked, but thankfully, we (party of 5) got a table upstairs. We ordered the sharing seafood platter, which included salmon, sea bass, mussels, scallops, prawns and calamari, all cooked in a creamy, bacon, tarragon sauce, it was delicious! We ordered one additional mushroom paella tapas (it was ok, not great), extra fries/salad and the bread selection. Overall very tasty and would order it again. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos, so I'll have to go back and have it all again! The hardship! 😆

Faultless. Great people (staff and other patrons), phenomenal food, gorgeous atmosphere. This is a must for tapas when in Tynemouth!!!

Went for breakfast and unfortunately it was very mediocre, especially for the price. The Kings Breakfast was especially disappointing with tasteless sausages and minute pieces of equally tasteless bacon. The interior gave the impression that it was in need of some TLC. We also had to wait nearly an hour between ordering and being served, which meant our drinks which came very quickly had long. Won’t be rushing back.

Seven of us went for dinner at Ora which started well with drinks and cocktails in the bar. We then moved up stairs to the finning area, which was tired, worn disgusting carpets and music that was far too loud for a restaurant. Waiting staff were pleasant and good orders were placed. Baring in mind the restaurant was less than 50% full, our food still took over 45 mins to be served. I believe this delay was because they were concentrating on takeaway orders??? When the food arrived, 3 tapas dishes were missing, one pasta dish missing chicken, pork dish cold and chicken dry and tough to eat. When the bill arrived, they had forgotten to take off the deposit (£35)! Waiting staff apologetic but no sign of any of the 2 mangers present to apologise!

We were quite cold at first because all the doors onto the street were open - and it was quite a mild day - but they were closed once it got to around 6 o’clock, which really made a difference. The staff were lovely and...

After walking from Tynemouth to Newcastle today, we needed to be fed! Ora, didn't let us down. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a great feed.

Went here on a whim for some food, very good quality and the staff looked after us well. Look forward to returning

PLEASE CHECK YOUR PRICES BEFORE YOU PAY I don't like posting bad reviews, but I don't want other to be tricked into paying extra. One waiter almost overcharged us £15. A food item we had originally wanted to order was sold out so we ordered something cheaper. When the bill came we were overcharged and when we asked the waiter he LIED and said the prices were correct. (He had also taken the menus away so that we could not compare the bill prices with what was on the menu.) Thankfully a different staff member was kind enough to sort out the correct price for us, the 1 star is for him. If you are ordering from here please make sure you confirm the menu prices with the staff before you pay.

Booked our table as didn't want to be disappointed of getting in but the time we went we probably could have just walked in. Food was absolutely gorgeous, would recommend the Spanish Grazing board to share and the Goats Cheese bon bons were also delicious. We had to ask for some cutlery as they had forgot to give us ours but they apologised. Would definitely go back well worth the money 3 tapas for £17.95

The tapas is unfortunately now inedible :( terrible service from management. It used to be our favourite place but it’s went down hill

Fantastic Breakfast in a lovely location. Great menu with lots of choice. Caitlin our server was lovely a total credit to Ora 👏
