We often bring the dogs here during the week for a quiet pint and to sit in the garden with the dogs. Friendly staff and very relaxing. At the moment there are 2 marquee in the garden which are perfect when it rained the other evening. Can get a bit busy at the weekends. Awesome.

We often visit The Fox when the weather is kind - nothing like sitting in their garden with a freshly prepared lunch. The sausage baguette has several sausages, not just a token one, served with salad and crisps - enough not to want dessert! The staff are friendly and the beers are cold!

I am a regular visitor with family and friends, the food is good value for money and is freshly prepared the beers are well kept and different guest ales change weekly. Helpful and friendly staff in what I would call a old style local well worth a visit.

My friend and I had the set three course Christmas lunch for £18. What excellent value! And enormous portions, I'm still full three days later! We've been having our annual Christmas lunch in the Grays/Orsett area for over 15 years and I can honestly say this one was the best. The quality was great, good home cooked food. The service was spot on too, really charming staff. We'll be back (before next Christmas!).

Once again the fox provided the refreshments following the Orsett Remembrance service at the Memorial. Thank you to the management and staff for the kindness to veterans and attendants to the service and for providing the buffet much appreciated

A lovely little country pub, ideal for families, with a large garden out back. Food is served on certain days, too!

The staff are rude and spoke to us terribly. We are so upset and won't be going there again. Very clicky.

We used to walk down here (I rode my bike) all the time when I was younger, and we'd sit outside by the trees in the beautiful gardens because it was always busy.

Well. It was such an amazing breakfast I had in this cafe. Coffee was so good that I had to order another one and my Mediterranean breakfast was sooooo delicious. I recommend it to everyone. Such a clean family run cafe. Looking forward to try their pies.

We went on 20th April to celebrate my dads 82nd birthday we was a group of 9 people. We had a 4pm sitting. We chose Sir Henrys as the previous month we went there to celebrate my mums 78th. Completely different level of service at the weekend. The restaurant was busy the food was not up to scratch. I ordered goats cheese starter the presentation was poor it was like someone had thrown a few salad leaves on a plate with onion and tomatoes and a blob of goats cheese. For mains my dad and uncle ordered mixed grill which came up not only really fatty meat but it was swimming in grease they couldn't eat it. Me and my aunt had the salmon linguae - the salmon was rock hard. The serving staff kept asking if every thing was ok and we told them it wasn't but they didn't seem to care. When we paid the bill they ask again if everything was ok and we told them the above again - Again they didn't seem to care. They never took of the £20 deposit I paid to secure the table so I had to call the following morning. The manager called me back - I told her all the above and same as her staff didn't seem to care - just kept saying I am sorry it didn't meet your expectations on this occasion. I told her my dad and uncle couldn't eat their meals to which she replied well the servers said all the plates were cleared. This is NOT true but the tone in her voice it was clear she wasn't going to do anything about it - The least she should have done was credit them - Poor customer service - Hopefully the owners see this review and learn the manager there lacks customer service skills. She ended the call in a sarcastic tone saying hope this hasn't put you off coming again you enjoy the rest of your day!
