We went to the Fourteas tea room recently, on recommendations of some of my friends and ofcourse, based on the high quality reviews. we had the classic afternoon tea, and it was just a fantastic experience for us! We were almost full in just half of it, and we had the remaining as takeaway. The cakes were all very delicious, along with the scones and freshly prepared variety of sandwiches. We also enjoyed their own house blend Fourteas tea. All in all it was a really great experience for us, and we surely visit again the next time around in Stratford!

We had high hopes, but the tearoom fell short. The staff were not attentive and our tea took far too long. The scones were dry and tasteless. As most say, it was better before it was taken over in new hands! Will not be returning, especially with how overpriced and greedy the prices are.

We popped in on Friday 18th around 10am, there were only 2 tables occupied but they sat us by the til, rather than in the window, despite there being plenty of tables. I had a cream tea and my husband had a sausage bap. Food arrived quickly but the scone was small and had been warmed in the microwave as it was only warm on the outside. My husband’s sausages had clearly been precooked and reheated. The other two tables finished and we were on our own which felt awkward and no atmosphere. The food was tasty enough and we enjoyed it but at a cost of £20.25 it was extortionate and there are plenty of other places to try which were cheaper and nicer The toilets were awful, really run down, no hand dryer just paper towels and a big metal bin with a lid you had to lift with your hand, which felt dirty after having just washed one’s hands! Sorry will not be returning and can’t recommend

Popped in for lunch today and loved the decor. Both myself and my wife are RAF veterans and it was great to see all the RAF ensigns and framed medals celebrating decorated personnel. The food was outstanding and it was great to see decaf tea as an option. Just two minor things. On the wall there is a framed set of miniature medals for a squadron leader. The abbreviated rank is used incorrectly. It shows as “SQN/LDR” when it should be “Sqn Ldr” (no forward slash needed). The second is a bit more contentious. Given the decor and way in which the military are celebrated I would have thought that the venue would offer a discount to serving personnel and/or veterans but this is not the case.

We came here on Saturday afternoon prior to our pre theatre lunch. It was my god daughter’s pre wedding lunch and theatre performance. We opted to sit outside as it was warm and sunny, having said that soon after arriving it poured down but we were under the table umbrella and didn’t get wet, it was quite fun. The owner and staff members made our visit very special, we had two cocktails each which were just fabulous. Thank you team for making our visit so special .

Had an afternoon tea. Very disappointed, have been before. Quality of food not good, value for money not good. £29. Four tiny triangles of white bread sandwiches, crusts cut off and with very little filling. A scone, a small quiche, 2 bought in macaroons and a small triangle piece of lemon drizzle cake and a small triangle of choc cake. Coffee £4.50 for a small cup and tea ranged between £4.75 and £5.75 for a pot. Have been before and found it to be excellent and difficult to get a table if not booked. Felt rushed and was asked whilst we were eating if we would like a box to take anything away! And the moment we had finished were presented with the bill and asked to pay. Can only think they wanted to close early. On this visit there were only two other sets of diners at 3pm. So assume others feel the same.

We visited these tea rooms a few years ago and really loved them so as we were passing through again it was on our list of must visit places. So disappointed our cream teas never arrived we shared a ham sandwich we had also ordered and then when we asked for the cream teas to be removed from the bill we were treated as if we were lying. We wont be going back.

My sister and I returned to Fourteas after a fabulous visit last year, and were not disappointed. We had a gorgeous afternoon tea with Prosecco, and absolutely loved it. Everything was fresh and tasty and there was more than enough of everything. We loved all the little thoughtful things, such as a timer for the perfect cup of tea. The staff are truly wonderful! The service is so friendly but professional and nothing is too much trouble. I can't rate this place highly enough. Thank you Fourteas 😊 . We will see you again next time we visit Stratford x

Today was a return visit to this gem of a restaurant. My sister and I visited for my birthday and we had afternoon tea. Everything was perfect - a mixture of sandwiches, quiche, scones and cakes, topped off with a large pot of tea and a glass of Prosecco. What I love about this restaurant is the ambience and the attentiveness of the staff. Nothing felt rushed and the team could not have done more for us. I live in Birmingham but travel to Stratford for day trips. I honestly don’t think I’d eat anywhere else. Amazing!

Absolutely lovely experience here at the Fourteas. The service was quick and reliable. I particularly loved the catch of the day which was great value for the quality of the food. Returning to this tea room, dissapointed that the 1940 atmosphere had gone as the venue had change hands, the only thing that was very good, was the service & quality of food, although The 1940's ladies were not there, we had The Ivor Novello teas which were overpriced for what was provided, there were too few sandwiches, not be going back or recommending.

Very disappointing visit, weather was really bad traffic was terrible due to the bad weather we were about 10mins late but we were told " You are very late but never mind" when we arrived quality of the food was not good at all too many cakes and not enough sandwiches and sandwiches were very small and cakes were supposed to be home made but did not taste like they were ..we have had better quality food at garden centers afternoon teas it was mother's day so it would have been nice to have had some reference to mothers day but there was nothing.. My partner could not get out of her seat without someone else getting up it was like we were packed in like sardines, only 1 toilet so had to wait quite a long time at £27 each we just thought was poor value and poor quality so won't be visiting again nor could we recommend this place.

We discovered the Fourteas completely by chance on our visit to Stratford-upon-Avon... it is a beautiful tearoom/brasserie that serves lovely, delicious lunch as well as a unique and diverse range of teas. I came here for the ambience and the theme, being a fan of old-fashioned places, and was blown away by the amazing food. In particular, I have to mention the Lancaster Bomber Burger, which filled my senses from the first bite. It is, without exaggeration, the best burger I’ve ever had. Delicious desserts also – my girlfriend raved about the Crème Brûlée. The 1940s music was refreshing and wonderful. Our waitresses were very inviting and warm, and we will be returning often!

We were a group of 4. We had the classic afternoon tea. The environment is tired and shabby. The customer service was friendly and helpful. The tea ingredients were lovely and fresh with a nice selection.....however please note.....BEYOND EXPENSIVE....RIDICULOUS PRICE...27.00 per person....for effectively a sandwich each....1 scone , and 4 tiny cakes along with tea or coffee. Compared with other places same foods but twice price. You really must consider value for money. The balfry Sutton Coldfield for example....sumptuous surroundings 31.00 per head....this is a great shame as it used to be excellent...very disappointing 😞

Walking into this quaint Tudor building you get hit by the sound of the 40s music! I have always loved the 1940s and was geeking over the memorabilia posters on the walls and the pretty decor. The waiting staff were so friendly and attentive and I must admit I was quite jealous of their pretty 40s dresses. The food service was quick and the menu was extensive, with options that suited us all. From those who wanted a smaller lunch, I had a sandwich which was really good and came with a side of crisp and a salad, to those who wanted something slightly more hearty, the burger and fish and chips looked amazing and went down well with my family and the salads looked tasty too, lots of toppings to leaf ratio which is always good 😂. There are lots of veggie options which is sometimes still hard to come by. If you have enough room for pudding then the cakes were really tasty and generous in slicing. I had the crème brûlée which I highly recommend it had a homemade shortbread biscuit too, it was sooo tasty. The food was all really fresh, presented well and had the feel of something homemade with love mixed with a the abilities of a talented chef. I will definitely be returning what a gem of a place and such a relaxed atmosphere mixed with friendly staff means that it is a lovely place to eat, relax and take it all in 🧡 Thank you for a great experience!

Bring back the old Fourteas! What was once an original and charming tearoom is now a generic ‘bistro’. No more Churchill club sandwich, no more cakes on display, no Vera Lynn or Glenn Miller music playing. The dressing up rack is gone, as are the lovely vintage-feel uniforms (and service) of the past. While our waiter was a nice guy, the place now feels like pizza express or any other chain. You can get fish and chips or shepherd’s pie at any pub in town. And a slice of cheese and a slice of ham between two pieces of toasted bread is NOT Welsh Rarebit. We’ve been going here for almost 20 years. The few 40s knickknacks on display and the generic menu just doesn’t make it. It used to be so lovely. Now it’s just like anywhere else. We won’t be returning.

Went today after a recommendation. We had the afternoon tea for two. We’ve had many an afternoon tea and this one we felt was a little bit underwhelming for the £27 per person (and then the added service charge when the bill arrived. The sandwiches...

The Fourteas is great for all people and groups. It truly exemplifies the phrase “the style but not the values of the past”. Whether you are there for breakfast, cold food (served after 12:00) or some tea, you’ll leave happy. I cannot recommend this place...

Our go to place for food and ambience. The mood just hugs as you walk in, set in the 1940’s but with a jazz feel to it. Fantastic paintings on the walls as well as Union jacks everywhere. I do love a Union Jack. This...

One of the best cellars of the UK. Great team, great selection, Great prices. You are looking for quality wines, must add, high quality wines ... this is the place ! They did not change prices of some grand crus from Burgundy ! Wine is passion and this place is showing such a remarkable selection of fine winemakers, with the love of the owner and its team ... I've visited this museum house with my EFL students (mainly European) in the past. It was always a good experience. The 17-century building was always comfortable. The students learnt about Shakespeare's daughter, the important ' health work' that her husband did and their difficult lives. The tour guides were always knowledgeable (and kind to my students). The garden was beautiful. When convenient we had lunch in the cafe - the service was always very good and the food was always delicious.

The drinks are fine , cakes are fine and the venue is fine but sweet Lord the server a middle aged lady with glasses and greying hair is abrupt and unfriendly to the point of rudeness. Think Basil Fawlty on a bad day. If you don't want to be pleasant get a different job. To be fair we are normally served by someone quite nice.

After experiencing the cafe on one of their club nights, myself and my husband were completely sold with Talton Mill Cafe as the venue for our wedding party. Fran and Liz headed the venue and their input was impeccable. Everything we loved about the place was brought to our day - a cosy vibe, relaxed, beautiful, and delicious! Everything on the menu was homemade and worked perfectly with the environment. Fran and Liz listened to our ideas and needs for the day and delivered. The weather wasn’t bad either!
