Lovely place to go, fast service and amazing atmosphere!

Went in for a lunch time meal, but no food was being served, so we left.

Overall, it was a very nice place, but on pizza night, ask for a rare to medium calzoni lol

We were in the area and decided to pop in somewhere to eat and have a drink. From the outside the place looks warm and inviting, but the service was terrible. The Landlady was so rude in the way she dealt with us. Her attitude tarnished our sit down meal from the start. We will never go back there. Very dissapointed.

We stayed at the campsite up the road and ended up having Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening in the pub having been made so welcome by Gaz and the Team. He’s a Bradford fan but we all have our crosses to bear. Many thanks, Abbie, Iain and Danny

Called in for a couple of beers on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed live music too St Ives ale was excellent and staff friendly. Very obviously a locals pub but happy, friendly locals. Cheers 🍻

We recently visited this lovely local pub whilst staying at a campsite nearby. Dog friendly and served the most lovely burgers and chips. It doesn’t have a menu but serves hot food on certain days of the week such as pizza & pies. It’s worth calling ahead to check what is on. Landlord was very welcoming and it had a great atmosphere. We would highly recommend this local pub and wouldn’t hesitate at calling in again if we are in the area.

Not family friendly, popped in for a drink with my husband newborn and non verbal autistic 3 year old, they had some lovely Halloween decorations up with our 3 yr old was excited by, I went to get us a seat whilst my husband ordered our drinks, my son who s very sensory and enjoys bright lights was stood by the fruit machine looking at the lights and babbling, when the landlady appeared at the bar saying “what’s with all the children running around and shouting” which the landlord pointed out that it was just one child stood over there, she then started shouting about how he should be sat down and not running around shouting, it’s seems she specifically came downstairs to kick off. He wasn’t running around nor was he shouting, he’s non verbal and whilst he can be a little louder than some kids it’s due to his disabilities and he cannot control that. Such a shame because it’s a lovely pub but ruined by the rude landlady.

Was on a overnight stay in the area had a cracking meal and a pint for £20 can't argue with that!

It was the first for me and my personal assistant Chris to have come to the Four Lords pub. It was really lovely there and the staff working there are all friendly and helpful to us. And I had the most delicious sausage bap I ever had. We sat outdoors, which it was very lovely place to get some sunshine. I recommend anyone to come the pub and I promise you it'll be great 👍

Stopping in double trees in the caravan,we called in for a drink on the night England were playing. Asked if we could have a drink before we got a Chinese to take back to the caravan and also book a Sunday roast with them. They refused to let us stand at the bar for a drink. Found it a bit odd because they new us and where we were staying. Not very happy.

Went to watch the band The Bubble on a Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere, and the landlord and landlady made us feel very welcome.

We broke down nearby and the owners were fantastic, even let us bring a Chinese back as there kitchen was closed. Also gave us both a bus ticket to get us to the train station,and let us leave the car overnight before the RAC finally turned up next morning. Thanks so much for being hospitable in a stressful situation the day before nye.

Thee place to be if you ask me. Gaz and Jane are a fab couple who love to see their customers enjoying themselves. They've put on some great nights and always try and bring what the customers want. Best Landlord and Landlady for a very long time with equally amazing staff. Definitely deserves 5☆

We visited the pub last night whilst on our holiday to watch Liverpool v Real Madrid , we ordered drinks for 6 adults and two children and when they were paid for the landlord told us the children were now welcome to stay after 8.30pm . We then said we will go in the garden to be told they still have to go . He also brought some music out to the garden and set it up right next to us turning it up loud so we couldn’t speak without . He was very unprofessional especially as on the site the pub was welcoming to children and dogs, not a place to visit with the family!

Lunch, sharing platter and dirty fries... Oh yes please ! very tasty and plenty of it. Friendly staff and good service in a pub where you instantly feel like part of the furniture. All this, and dog friendly too.

We were not offered a menu. Everyone was squashed into a small space when most of the bar was empty.Only two options available beef or pork. We were asked if we wanted all vegetables we said yes. Very surprised to find half a plate of cauliflower cheese. Not a vegetable really but a dish so that ruined most of the plate. Frozen potatoes a teaspoon of peas and some of my carrots were black. Asked if we wanted sauces we asked for apple sauce. But you had to spoon that from a dish and it was taken away it was not left on the table who does that. Sorry not an enjoyable experience. I think the staff are trying hard.

What an absolute s***hole of pub humiliated my girlfriend for using the loo without buying a drink then tried to take personal belongings from my vehicle whilst having a go at me absolute joke avoid at all costs in my opinion

First time visit, loved the atmosphere, had somewhere for all, without being cramped, pool area, bar area, walk round to sofa cozy area and also steps to restaurant area. Very friendly greeting. Will return. Parking was tight as no space, yet not customer to ratio of vehicles. Still liked it.

While playing darts with my son the landlady came in shouting stop, grabbed my darts and threw them on the floor and slammed the dartboard doors shut. Landlord said it's because she has covid and can't fly to New York tomorrow. Surely that's not the fault of the customers. I found the experience to be embarrassing.

Haven't been there for a few years. Was very surprised to see how nice it is inside. Baz the governor very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend the pub

*From Phil & Ian Whitehead* Stopped in here on the off chance with my dad and was welcomed by the landlord Gaz, who couldn’t do enough for us. Friendly locals, including big Ray. It was that good that we made a trip out from Newquay (where we was staying) to visit again. Gaz was kind enough to give us a lift back to train station. This place is what local pubs should be about. We won’t hesitate to pay a visit if we are down that way again. Keep up the good work.

Quite pricey compared to other pubs in the area. Food is okay. Pints could be better. Staff seem friendly. It's OK.

Been in Cornwall a week and this has to be the best breakfast I have had not only in Cornwall but for sometime. Right until the last mouthful it was hot. Staff amazing and very friendly. Price very good for what you get. I couldn’t recommend this lovely local pub anymore. When I come back down, I will definitely be coming back here. To be honest I’m angry that I didn’t come here from day one.

On holiday, went in here for a drink, booked a table for the football, we had such a good time and were so welcomed (despite me being Scottish) we went back for the next two games. The landlord and lady were brilliant, bar staff fantastic and on the ball as regards serving and also remembering what you were drinking, sausage rolls, cheesy biscuits at half time, no charge, good cheer and fantastic memories of our holiday. We'll worth a visit.

Popped in on the way home from a day out for a roast. They had finished serving food but they still rustled up a roast beef sarnie with roasties and gravy.Couldn't have been more welcoming we will back at an earlier time to have a full roast

Went camping in Cornwall and found this lovely pub; owners were very welcoming and chatty. Very friendly and a nice place for drinking and eating. 👍

Local pub, really friendly, great value for money food. As I frequent this public house fairly regularly I am trying to be impartial and honest in my comments. Sunday lunch for me and my partner was lovely, we had eaten there before under this ownership, but with their then chef, as I was not impressed with the meal I did not comment, however, I feel now the tenents deserve to be complimented, good food, good price, great atmosphere. Long may it continue.

Stopped here for a meal early evening , and extremely friendly staff, landlord and landlady I believe ? Everywhere was clean and tidy . Quite a limited menu and whilst food was ok and nothing wrong with it , it wasn’t amazing . I have read in other reviews that the management are new so hopefully things will only get better from here as they are both really nice and friendly.

Earlier this week me and my partner decided to try the four lords as we knew they had just changed ownership and wanted to try the menu,with only living down the road we was hoping it was going to be good! Unfortunately we wasn’t impressed the young lady bartender was too busy chinwagging with the guy in the kitchen and didn’t notice us waiting to be served when she did come out she was rather blunt but we looked passed that and sat down to look at the menu...when the food did come I wasn’t impressed with the quality my partners nachos definitely wasn’t worth the £8.95 and she found abit of plastic in her dish,again when we went to pay the bartender was again to busy in the kitchen messing around giggling with the chap,the place was rather empty just a few people at the bar so can’t really say there was much of a atmosphere we left feeling rather disappointed,hopefully if we ever do decide to come back we have a better time, I’d suggest talking to your staff so they have a professional approach and come across friendly and with the quality of the food e.g ready brought ingredients such as the nachos and the salsa/sourcream obviously not being homemade I’d lower prices.

I must make this very clear from the start. My name is martin kitt and I was in the fourlords on the 26th jan all day and evening. We had organised a surprise birthday party for my mum. 41 people sat to eat lunch. It was a lovely choice of three courses. The landlord and lady couldn't have been anymore accommodating. They were helpful friendly. And dispite the large numbers we had with also live music and food. He carefully pre warned any other booking of our day so that they had the choice to sit with the fun and noise we were making. The chef left them in the lerch yet they all pulled together and made it the amazing day that it was. I would highly recommend this pub for lunch, dinner or just a nice drink. I had 80 people with ages ranging from 6 to 75 in my party and not one complaint. Thank you so much for making our day special

Sampled the roast today for the first time with the new hosts. It was brilliant. Will definitely be having it again. There was 14 of us eating and we were very well looked after. Awesome hospitality, we asked for extra roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy and nothing was too much bother. Food quality was perfect. Great value, I had a large and it did beat me, only just. Still stuffed now 5 hours later. Best of luck to the new hosts. Go give it a try. The new hosts have only been in from December 2019 so old posts are not relevant anymore. They have put a lot of effort into making this place a success. I’ve been in twice this weekend, once for a drink with friends and once with family for the roast dinner. Both times the place has been busy with a good atmosphere which is nice to see.

Although it says online that this place serves food, it doesn't. Looks very well kept outside and looks welcoming but there was a bad atmosphere inside and unfortunately it seems like this establishment will probably close soon. Wouldn't ever go again unless it improved!
