Can't rate food as we havent eaten here yet. Lovely little pub, very nice friendly staff and atmosphere lively. Good place to go for a drink and a chat, in charming surrounding.

A short walk from the 🚂 station to this canal side 2024 entry into the Good Beer Guide. Down to a choice of 3 cask ales as the Park Life has just gone. They seem to like their cask well chilled here.

Nice locals pub not far from Tipton railway station. Four cask ales on including two from local breweries.

Old pub by the canal...must stop by for a pint if you love the history of black country

Great food (home cooked), great beer, with a good selection of well kept ales. Well worth a visit. Staff and customers are very friendly. Traditional pub, which is nice and clean which encourages you to eat there.

We first visited here 2 years ago - delighted to say nothing has changed a very friendly welcome when you arrive! Very near the mooring at Coronation Park. Food available at lunchtime, looks fabulous but we haven’t eaten here. Would happily recommend this canalside pub - children and dogs only at certain times, phone to check.

Proper old fashioned black country pub ... A bit cliche, not the place to go unless you're a regular or known within, felt the eyes on me from the minute I walked in, however the ale is decent and the atmosphere is like pubs in the good old days

This pub is very welcoming and very traditional. Food is only served at lunchtine but cobs ate avaulable. The beer is varied and well kept. The landlady is effusive in her welcome. Theethis is that guests/patrins are there to enjoy themselves. There is a tv but noone tskes any notice if it!

Dogs allowed only if no one is eating. No one was eating , it was only us who wanted to eat and we clearly didn’t mind. I know, rules are rules but tell me? If I was having a drink with my pooch and someone ordered food would I then be asked to leave? This suggests to me that maybe you’re not quite as dog friendly as you think. Disappointed.

Traditional pub, no fuss, simple food, good beer and most importantly a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Quiet pub people seem nice but the locations next to a main road. Constant cars etc.

Went in early doors, but was told don't do food in the evening, but had a couple of beers instead and was pleased with my ale ,it was superb I had the hpa a favourite of mine but itwas one of the best I've ever tasted, also they have 3other ales on.Itwas and old fashioned pub very nice and tidy inside, definitely will call in again when working over that way.

The rudest old bar maid in the Black Country - walked in with a small dog (and we understand some pubs don’t allow dogs) but to be pointed at and shouted OUT is appalling. Other lady behind the bar was lovely but the gangly one needs to go on a customer service course - or retire - for everyone’s happiness

I have never experienced such an unfriendly reception from any pub. We walked from The Pie Factory to The Fountain to show our Irish friend some Black Country history and hospitality. There was about 6 customers in the pub. It was 10.45.The lady at the bar said she wouldn't serve us because we hadn't been in the pub before 10.45. IIt really wouldn't have created a problem for her to serve us one drink. She made sure we were left feeling this was a most unwelcoming place.

Unpleasant woman at bar refused to serve us because it was 10 45 and we were supposed to be there before 10.45 for a last orders drink! We were told. We're made to feel very unwelcome when we had travelled there to show our Irish friend a bit of history and Black Country hospitality. Unpleasant unwelcoming.

Had few beers and a cob on a Saturday great beer and cobs and value for money worth a visit if you you get chance

It had been a while since we were last in but I liked the fact that it had been refurbished and very clean and comfortable. We only had a couple of drinks but it very nice.

Love coming back here the staff are friendly and always remember us, great choice of real ale dog friendly does lunch Mon to Thurs and rolls and pork pies locals are great always chatty with us

Brilliant just want to keep going back I run a art class at tipton library and 13 of us went this Monday not 1 complaint.

A group of us were in Tipton to visit the Black Country Living Museum and fancied a pint when we got off the train. We found the Fountain Inn purely by chance, but what a find. The pub was friendly; the Lady Lady (Julie) was wonderful and the beer was good, obviously kept well. If we are in Tipton again, we will definitely visit, for an hour or three!! Thank you Fountain Inn for making us so welcome.

One of the friendliest pubs I’ve even been in. Genuine welcome from owners and all their staff. Not the smartest in terms of decor (‘traditional’ better description) but excellent selection of real ales, beautifully kept, and wonderful atmosphere. Just a shame they no longer do cooked meals in evening - still remember an excellent sausage and mash from 7 years ago.

The pub was very busy for a Wednesday afternoon which is good thing in my mind The lady on bar was friendly and had some great banter when we ordered the food We order five meals for our party, although the pub was busy the food came in a reasonable time Food was well cooked, good quality and couldn't be faulted, and excellent price Very close to the canal I'd recommend a walk after dinner, lovley pleasent walk 100% recommend this local friendly pub 😁

Good selection of drinks with some fixed Ale choices but two rotating selections of Ales too so you'll get even greater variety which is a great thing. Clean layout and still keeping that old fashioned charm throughout, will come back.

Staff kind and friendly. The pub has a great atmosphere whether you are there by yourself or as a couple or with friends. Monday to Wednesday they serve traditional pub food that is generous and good value. Other time ask for their fresh cheese and onion or ham baps. A slice of pork pie as well...generally a great place and lovely people.

Bustling and full of people, v local slightly cleeky vibe. Friendly enough, with minimal service and great selection of real ales. Lighting is daylight balanced LED and creates quite an artificial experience. Very pleasant music.

Visiting as on a narrow boat enjoyed a lunch time ale, left.... yet so good we returned with our boating companion. Dog friendly which is a bonus and so good to see it being used by the locals...would certainly revisit.

Asked if we could go in for a family meal and they said yes so went a few days later to be told by another member of staff children aren't allowed in (which is fair enough but shouldn't say they do family meals) but if we wanted to we could all sit outside with either a pork pie or sandwich! Won't be returning at all.
