Absolute brilliant on everything especially wonderful service as well.

Way understaffed....no eye contact, no respect of the queue order....I had to wait over 10 mins to be served 2 beers. The French rose wine is overpriced....may come again ONLY for the view...

First day in Uk. In London overlooking the Thames and St Paul’s. Great spot for great food coffee or other drinks.

Great food and service from Duke!

After walking along the river, my friend and I stopped in for traditional fish and chips. By far, their fish and chips were the best of this visit and our visit last year. Too bad we didn't find this place last year. Staff was friendly and helpful. The view was amazing. It was nice to sit awhile, enjoy the view and have some time to rest before more walking for the day.

Very cozy, neat restrooms, good, hot food. I had cauliflower with cheese and non-alcoholic beer. I really enjoyed a date here. After a good walk around the area.

While walking along the Thames on our way to Shakespeare's Globe, e found this restaurant right by the river. We decided to try it. The place is quaint, however they have 2 different areas, one with table service and one without. This is not clear when we go inside. If decide to give this place a go, do make sure you ask before sitting down... We sat down for 10 minutes before realising it. We had the fish and chips and the steak. Both were beautifully cooked. The only downside was the amount of time we had to wait for the food, a little over 30 minutes. The service was amazing and going there was worth because of the service that Duke provided as well as the amazing view over the river and St. Paul's Cathedral. If you are in the area, do give it a try. There is a small beer selection when compared to other places, but the view makes up for it.

Incredible food especially the starters, our waiter duke was incredibly helpful and direct and the atmosphere was good, very nice place.

Came for food and dinks with friends and it was so lovely! The staff were all really friendly and the service was excellent.

Such a shame. This has to be one of the most prime pub sites in London yet for years this place has suffered from just dismal service. Not enough staff, not organised and so waiting times are enormous. The number of customers (who put up with it) is enormous so they must be absolutely raking it in - just employ a couple more bar staff for God's sake. Would be nice also if any of the Youngs Beers other than Best and Special were available, especially since this is a Youngs pub!

Gorgeous spot on the river, very close to Tate Modern. For an afternoon meal, we split the fish and chips along with the smoked anchovies appetizer. Both were decent but not spectacular. I have certainly had better fish and chips throughout London and the US, but it was hard to beat the outdoor spot on a nice day. They have a decent list of cask and draft beers.

We had booked into the Swan for Brunch but due to a fire in kitchen they had to close. So we went to the Founders . Boy has this changed since i last drank in there in 1986 And for the better. The pravha lager was great. The gents involves a climb up steep stairs The staff were friendly and the views great. The only let down was the food. The wife's ragu was jsy not nice and my classic pub burger uninspiring. Might just have been a bad day.

Fantastic location on the river; great selection of drinks, food and fantastic service. What truly elevated our experience was Jazz, the manager on site at the time. Her attentiveness, warmth, and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued regulars from the moment we arrived.

Love this pub on the Thames with a view of St Paul’s. Always lively inside, pretty loud. Good food with a great view. Excellent for outdoor drinks when the weather is nice.

Food just average. Location great. Extremely friendly staff. Furnishings comfortable. Toilet clean.

The food was great! Very good fish and chips. Unfortunately we had to wait quite a long time for our food. Duke, the waitress, did a great job and responded very competently to our questions. The food came within 2 minutes. The music is a bit too loud, so a star deduction for the ambience. However, the view is also recommended!

The location is beautiful, the food is average. The staff are nice. But on a Friday night it was incredibly loud, making it impossible to have a chat with the people at the table.

We decided to eat here for the view and proximity to the Tate Modern. We waited 40 minutes for our dish. We then ask a waitress where our order is. She replied dryly that “they have a lot of customers, that’s normal”. We asked a second waitress 5 minutes later, and our dishes had been forgotten. Reheated at the last minute, they were dry and crunchier…. In short, to flee.

We had a lovely time. Our Server, Duke, Was excellent as he has always been. We always come to the founders arms three or four times every time we visit London and we have always had an excellent experience. Thank you all very much indeed.

Good pub with fantastic views from south bank over the city. We had lunch a sunny May day. Pretty busy, so lively atmosphere. Service very good, led by Duke, Drinks and food served in timely fashion despite being busy. Food , standard pub fare, well presented.

During my stay in London, this was unfortunately the most disappointing dining experience. Despite spending around 20 minutes in the restaurant, no member of staff approached me. Orders are placed via an app, but the only indication of this was a small note on the table, and no staff member explained the process. I believe that clearer communication from the staff would have greatly improved the experience. Even when I went to the bar, no one acknowledged me. Regrettably, I left without placing an order, feeling unwelcome and discouraged.

Very good restaurant on the Thames River. The food is very good, the fish and chips and the burgers are the best, although the rest of the food is also very good. Duke served us, very attentive at all times, we definitely recommend this restaurant if you visit London and want to eat well and with good views of the river.

Nuestra mesa para 8 personas estaba adecuadamente situado con una gran vista sobre el río y el ambiente en la zona del bar era familiar. Todo nuestro grupo pidió pintas de Youngs Ordinary (ahora rebautizado "Original") , que estaba en buena forma. Cuando fuimos a pedir otra ronda de bebidas la camarera explicó que el barril necesitaba ser cambiado y tomaría 10 - 15 minutos. Acordamos cambiar temporalmente a Youngs Special, que de nuevo estaba en buena forma. Una cosa a señalar fue que a esta camarera en particular se le tuvo que pedir que tirara/recargara pintas completas ya que su primer intento dejó las gafas con grandes "cabezas". Cuando nos dieron la última pinta en esta ronda vino otra camarera y explicó que el Youngs Original de hecho carecía de aire comprimido y ya estaba disponible. Por lo tanto, la información anterior era errónea. Al ordenar nuestra tercera ronda más tarde, el Youngs Original "se agotó" en la séptima pinta, por lo que el barril estaba casi vacío después de todo. Parece que el personal del bar no está muy bien entrenado en el cuidado de la cerveza y requiere algunas clases adicionales. Nos fuimos después de que se consumió esta tercera ronda.

Very good evening at the founder's arms, a very nice welcome from the whole team and in particular from Duke who was very attentive and gave good advice. Everything was there: welcome, atmosphere, food, of our stay only one will remain: the founder's arms, this restaurant surpassed all the others, notably for the sympathy of the team.

Here on Easter Sunday. Two adults and a cold. Roast lamb and pork both great. Crumble solid and pleased to order. Our waiter, Duke, was perfect. Right balance of attentive and space. Thought it would be a dive before we came in and pleased to say it was a relaxing couple of hours with high grade staff, good food and decent value.

Great pub, nice location, atmosphere and views. Please be careful sitting outside though as my bag was stolen from under the table! We never left the table unattended, so it's crazy how they manage to do it without us noticing. The bar staff said it happens all the time, so be careful and keep your belongings safe! Ruined a delightful evening.
