Had a pleasant pint or 2 of Guinness on a sunny evening. Quick service at the bar from friendly staff, even when quite busy.

Great pub, both as pub, I.e. nice food, good beers, very good variety of drinks and stuff very empathic, but also top from a location point of view. Just a stroll from Tate Modern and from the city centre, it has one of the best views for a river pub in London. Have a go ;)

This is truly the perfect beer bar!! The fish and chips were very large and delicious, and even though the view was really great, I was able to enjoy it comfortably without any pressure. I highly recommend this place if you stay in London.

The strategic location of this pub is its best feature and super easy to book. Sunday roast sides were delicious but the gravy & roast slices were thin and shy on flavour. Sticky Toffee Pudding was a dry molasses cake with loads of sauce.

Lulu was our server and she was excellent. We’re from out of town and suggested great places to see on London. Fish and chips were excellent

A cracking pub. I’ve been coming here for 20+ years and it’s still got it. Had lunch with an American couple, that I brought here 10 years ago, they asked to come again. Good food and drinks and Lou Lou was on form and looked after us magnificently, thank you. Booked a table for another visit next month. You’ll have to go a long way to find somewhere better.

Waitress was lou lou. She did an amazing job. We had a lot of requests for a mo day night. It was. A corporate event for Telstra. Not the usual Monday and Lou Lou was great

We come here every time we visit London. We just like the location and the atmosphere. We had the Burger and the salmon salad. Two tips for the kitchen 👉🏻 toast the burger buns. They fall apart. It's not great to eat a burger 🍔 which becomes a mess after one bite. For the salmon salad: it would be nice if the potato's and the salmon were warm instead of cold. Apart from that, it's a great place to sit down for a drink or bite with amazing skyline views of the city.

I came here a few weeks ago with a friend and had the best Sunday roast beef lunch I have ever had. I brought the whole family along today and the food was mediocre at best. The gravy was like warm water, the roast beef meal no longer has the ox cheek as advertised on the website and the potatoes were not cooked in goose fat. They were hard and tasted like reheated roasts. I did not complain because I did not want to spoil a family day out, but I was highly embarrassed at my recommendation. Do not go by the website menu, as the menu has changed.

The Founders Arms on the South Bank is our venue for family gatherings. The staff are friendly and always happy to help. The venue is always busy, especially in the summer months. It always has a good vibe.

I had a thoroughly nice time there. Everything was good. The view, the beer, the staff, and the other customers, but the roast pork belly sunday roast with red wine gravy was truly outstanding. Massively exceeded expectations!

I was there on Tuesday the 3rd with my daughter, my godchild and his father to celebrate my godchild’s 15th birthday. Lou Lou was our waitress and she looked after us beautifully, as if we were her only customers. Thank you Lou Lou !

We'd recommend the pub/ restaurant. Great location, good menu & drinks and very friendly staff. We had drinks outside first and then a very enjoyable dinner inside. We were given the table that immediately overlooks the river - which we'd requested.

After traveling and being up 36 hours straight, we stumbled in and were treated to delicious fish and chips. Server was delightful and even helped us navigate area to get to the Tube. Lovely experience

Food wasn’t bad but very overpriced. Bar staff took ages to serve and not because they were serving other people but multiple of them seemed to have other things to do! Busy place. I really like the views.

Very nice bar with friendly staff along with an amazing view of London and the thames, quite close to London Bridge and/or Westminster, on a nice hot day like it was today, it’s the perfect place to go chill

Big pub by the River. Really well staffed. Despite hundreds of people there in summer evenings you hardly have to wait to be served. Friendly efficient bar staff.

Nice terrace with a view on the river!

I've visited twice in recent months. Both times the food has been excellent and the service friendly. The staff give the impression that they enjoy working there. And the view across the river to St Paul's is worth a visit on its own

We booked a table of 10 for a rare reunion of old friends who came from all around London, the Southeast, and overseas. It was super-easy and the staff were great as the group grew to 13 at one point and shrank to six as people went home. Food, drinks and service from LuLu and her team were exemplary, especially as we met on a Wednesday evening in August when tourist season is at its peak, plus many London folk have lighter schedules and time for a drink. Could not have been a better experience, and good value. Thank you!

Superb lunch by the river. Will definitely be back.

Staff are all amazing, helpful and friendly. The view is brilliant and service is speedy! I ordered the chicken wings and although the coating was nice, the meat of the wings were plain, and didn’t feel like they were marinated; which I feel is a missed opportunity. The Camembert was heavy on the ammonia which gave the rind a strong chemical taste, and although I didn’t mind it, my friends thought otherwise. All in all was a good experience could do with some touch ups on the food.

Near Blackfriars Train Station, south of the river side. Lots of outside seats and a good view up the river and towards St Paul's.

Really bad and unfriendly service: we had with 3 children a non reserved table outside. Then a waitress came along with other people telling us the table was reserved even if there was no sign on it. Then we have been thrown away in a crud way even having half-full drinks at hand

A vibrant and buzzy pub, owing to its location on the river. However, despite its location we did find the staff to be a little disinterested - perhaps because it was very busy. We were also asked to move from our seats after being there for sometime because the area was apparently reserved for people ordering food (even though there was no signage or note to say this), we were then left to stand as there was nowhere else to sit. All in all, a nice spot to stop and have a drink, just perhaps not the friendliest place to visit.

First visit on a trip to London. Booked table online. Friendly staff and good food. Gents toilet is so far away as to be ridiculous so come on Founders sort this out use downstairs space, think of us retired gents as we both are! Do it or we won't be back!!

Nice pub on the river, perfect for gatherings with large groups. The scenic views and spacious seating make it an ideal event spot.

Lovely pub to have a drink beside the Thames and take in the London skyline and watch the world go by. We went in the evening and I loved the pretty lights and the whole atmosphere.

The team at The Founder’s Arms took the pressure out of organising a large birthday party from the minute I made an enquiry. Helpful, friendly, courteous and professional with good communication pre event. Great atmosphere and choice of food and drink with exemplary service. The app also made keeping an eye on the tab really easy too. My partner, his family and friends all had a great day - thank you so much!

This place used to be a must for us when visiting London but yesterday they didn't have what we wanted to order from the menu and they didn't let us know until they brought some of the dishes. We had to share then what was on the table so we all could be eating at the same time. Drinks were also brought in big size by mistake. And waitresses were constantly coming to clean the table interrupting our nice friends night off. Not a very good experience this time.

They tried to charge extra on the credit card when I warn them they tried to refund the payment but then canceled the refund now I see even extra $120 on my credit card , and will dispute ! This is complete scam !

Great location and I love that you can grab a drink and go and stand out by the river. The inside is always so loud. I guess the acoustics are such that the sound echoes around, so I'd recommend attending if staying outside. Good beer selection

Had a birthday gathering for friends and family on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Staff were brilliant and very helpful. Service was excellent and food was great. Highly recommended.

Best to go there in midweek. Went there in 1987, bit busy that Friday but it was worth it.

Great location and nice enough beers but super overpriced. We paid £35 for a 'meat platter' which translated to a small sausage roll, scotch egg, overcooked battered sausage and some chicken wings. Very underwhelming and very expensive

Went for Brunch here at Founder's Arms, had the sausage and egg muffin with apple juice. Amazing view for breakfast! Food was ordered through the app via QR code, which was served not long after (was there about 9am when they open)

Great pub by the south bank with fantastic view of St Paul's. Worth a visit on a sunny day either sitting or standing outside, soaking the vibes by the Thames. Also, beautiful in the evening (both outdoors in summer and indoors in winter thanks to the large glass windows overlooking the Thames).

Been coming here for many years but for the past 6 months the service has been shocking, in fact on the previous occasion I simply gave up trying to order after 10 minutes waiting at the bar. There are plenty of staff on duty and they are a nice enough bunch but clearly they lack training or are in need of management.

Always nice place to go when the weather is good, overlooking Thames with a beautiful view!

Was here the other night with a few friends and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, the drinks were top-notch and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. It was pretty busy and a great atmosphere but the staff still went out of their way to provide with great service! Definitely coming back!

We had a first class service yesterday afternoon and evening. I hosted a corporate event here and Beatrice and the team were incredibly attentive and made the event work brilliantly for us at the south bank event. The bar was seriously busy and although we didn't have a private space - Beatrice completely took care of all of our food and drink needs and accommodated our changes and additions swiftly and efficiently. Not one thing was TOO much trouble! I would highly recommend this venue. But i think it was mainly down to having Beatrice available 100% of the time and taking my needs as an organiser to the heart of what she did yesterday! THANK YOU SO MUCH. We will be back.

Rude staff !!! We visited here yesterday and after waiting 10 minutes at the bar we was rudely told if we want to be served we had to go to the other side of the bar even though a few people had been served in front of us first.

Perfectly nice to sit and watch the world go by. We had breakfast on a Monday morning, and service was a bit slow but the food was good.

Busy, but it was a sunny afternoon, with a good view over the Thames. Modern building, now looking a bit dogeared. Fair selection of drinks available. Table reservation worked and appreciated.

we had an outstanding time at the Founder's Arms. Great beers, food was pretty decent but the special thing is the location and the vibe. Had great energy, the sun was out and the views are outstanding. While we were a party of 6 and could not get a table outside, we were inside by the window and that worked really well :) Barring one staff member that was not friendly, the others were very helpful and smilingly served us, despite being super busy. Highly recommended and would love to go back if we can get to reserve a table outside

Had a very yummy chicken pie and enjoyed the view on the Thames🙂😍🙌 ! But as the place is popular and busy, especially at dinner time, tbh the service leaves much to be desired. I did booking via google and the system did not provide me with any choice of tables like indoors/outdoors tables. So when I came they seated me inside, because there were no available tables outside. As the inside area is ACed it was freezing and the only wish i got was to leave the place as soon as possible. Besides that the waitress did not ask me if I’d finished my meal and just simply took away the plate tho there was still some food left on it… yeah, i get: typical brutal British service but still…

A 70th birthday do for about 15 friends. Reserved a couple of outside tables out the front. Great ambience. Bar service and staff very good. Drinks a bit pricey (esp. wine). Bowls of chips warm. But I knew that, and overall experience - and view - - and company - made it a very enjoyable afternoon. Thanks.
