Fabulous bread and cakes and lovely friendly staff. I always enjoy their produce and like the fact they support other local small businesses.

We were a family of 5 holidaying in the area so on a Saturday afternoon we had a walk to the bake house for some pastries. We all picked one each and must say they were all beautiful. The lady who served us was so friendly and helpful. She told us the best places to visit in the area. Lovely place!

We used this bakery during our stay locally. The service was great as was the selection, quality and value. The granola was so good Ali bought 6 packs to take home. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Absolutely love, love, love this place. What a find. I travel a 20 mile round trip to get my bread and goodies from here. The lunches are just delicious, the staff are terrific and the bread and other bits and pieces you can buy are just the best. Great job all.

This bakery is wonderful! I buy all my bread when Im here...and excellent criossants - equal to any I've had in Valeries or Maison Bertaud UK...and Ive just had a hot-cross-bun which I feel couldnt be better - little sugar and subtle spices. Gorgeous! Thank you ALL the crew for looking after us in this crazy CV time.

A friend took me here to eat and buy their fabulous bread a few weeks ago and I have been keen to make a second visit ever since. I tried one Tuesday out on my bike but not open Sun-Tues so Saturday gave me another chance. I arrived with my daughter-in-law tired, muddy and ravenous after a morning out on mountain bikes. Despite it being late we were served delicious pumpkin soup, fresh bread and gorgeous cakes with lashings of tea by friendly and caring staff. Thank you Forest Bakehouse, I’m hooked! My only wish is for more open days.

We found this place by sheer luck and are glad we did. Their sourdough bread is absolutely superb and they bake other breads, savouries, cakes and croissants and you can see what is going on. We had coffee, toast and croissants. It was really good Lovers of good bread, this is the place. Friendly staff and they also serve meals.

This is a well established (retailer of the year X 2) Local Bakery, but not just any Bakery (and Cafe) but very Ecology Friendly, using Locally provided ingredients. Open for a Beautiful freshly Baked (on the premises) aroma to accompany pleasant smiles from the staff, who will be only too pleased to discuss ingredients and methods with you, Wednesday- Saturday. I go there about three days per week on average

This place is a hidden gem. A working bakery that double as a tea room and luncheon venue. A variety of freshly baked breads, home-made soups, fresh salads and a variety of breakfast, lunch and tea options where most of the ingredients are sourced locally. The people who work there and create much of the atmosphere are delightful. I frequent the Forest Bakery probably 3 times a week and always feel welcome. Price is subjective given the quality is excellent. I would say in general it is good value for what you pay.

We are regulars here, it is a little cafe inside a working bakery, you can watch them baking as you sit and eat your lunch! Everything is home made on site and is absolutely delicious! They do sit in and takeaway, we come most weeks for lunch and I sometimes pop in for cakes when I’m at work just up the road. Staff are lovely and friendly too. They have put prices up recently so some things are a little more expensive than elsewhere but it is definitely worth it as the taste and quality is excellent. Love this place and the chocolate brownies are out of this world!

Had a lovely lunch both of us choosing the fresh fish which is well worth the trip. Beautifully cooked with fresh, more interesting vegetables. Thoroughly enjoyable in a perfect setting. Friendly, very attentive staff with food that is all freshly cooked. Will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous family meal at The Bell on Saturday evening and very reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was beautiful (especially the fish pie, which was to die for) Today, The Bell did us proud again when they provided a wonderful after funeral buffet for us at a very reasonable price. The selection of fresh sandwiches and home made cakes was fabulous plus sausage rolls, samosas, pork pies, sausages, dips, salads, crisps, nuts etc etc. Thank you both for looking after us all so well . We will see you again soon. Xx

Great tour of the mine. Very interesting and informative. The guide was really good at explaining and he is clearly very passionate about what he does.. You can visit the site for free and without booking, but if you want to go on the mine tour you need to book and pay online via the website. Just beware that the café closes much earlier than advertised and also that some of the information on the website is out of date, including the café menu.

Dont bother wasting your money.!! If you are not in a hurry, want to help yourself to condiments and ask for service, and get some dodgy food, go for it! Really disappointing and didn't even offer a refund!
