Great friendly local great cider and beers bar staff brilliant

20th Feb 2024 .The first time in the bar, staff and locals were very friendly . Good drinks and prices. Update July 2024: The bar has been over, sadly not the same.

Ive been drinking in this pub on and off for 30 years and aside from one other previous landlord who ran a good cellar Owen and Seamus have really made this pub a locals pub again ......lovely atmosphere lovely lads!

Shamus and Owen have transformed our neighborhood local!! We are sooooo pleased to have a warm, welcoming place with plenty of good music, karaoke nights and various other entertainment, they are also happy to make a coffee if you're not on the lash 😁

Since Owen and Shamus have taken over, it has become a lovely local pub with a great atmosphere and entertainment, prices have come down and really enjoy going down x

The first time I went there to meet friends and I never felt so comfortable. Everyone is lovely, the landlord and landlady are lovely too.

Have been drinking in here on and off for decades and still frequent this Inn often enough. The Ford has recently been done up on the exterior but is still the same on the inside as I've always known. I was suprised that I was paying over £10 for two pints so far out from town...usually you would expect to pay less for local pubs away from the built up areas around the city centre. Friendly enough and always nice to catch up with friends and play some darts here all the same.

At the time of writing this, I only had a pic from their halloween event, I will add as I remake new memories! 🎃🦇👻😅😍 Lovely establishment, welcoming and friendly bar staff, always helps me feel relaxed! ❤️🎉🎊🙏 Live music on the weekends performed by local talent, really getting involved in the musical community with popular openmic night on a Tuesday ❤️🎶💖🎵🤩 with such a supportive atmosphere from staff and customers alike 🤗🎊 Other nights of the week include a board game night (with a large selection of games to use), and a regular pub quiz with lots of chances to win prizes! Definitely check this place out at least once, I'm sure you'll find yourself wanting to visit again! 💖❤️🙏🎉

Way over priced but did have a good singer.

Not dislikeable, just a bit too noisy at times. The beer garden this evening was wonderful not too busy and lovely patrons who joined in our birthday celebrations

Great night at this bar singing karaoke. Would definitely go again. Staff are friendly and happy to chat to you either side of the bar and other patrons were great

Lovely proper little local boozer

After a much long absence from this lovely venue Ive had an absolute amazing afternoon with my dear friend. Lovely people, pet friendly atmosphere.

Had fun with the family yesterday here, locals lovely playing with the kids. Came back today to be told by the landlady she had to clean a bit of split drink on vinyl (shocker) and we was made to feel very unwelcome. NOT family friendly. Won’t be going back !

Very poor, service, welcome and beer. I was followed into the toilet by a man asking me what I was doing? I tried to explain i had just driven 300 miles and there was no-one at the side bar, but I was challenged again by the toilet invader, as I had not bought a drink. As i have chrohns disease this made me feel very uncomfortable and ashamed. I did order a drink, which I could not drink as it was flat and stale, if I had drunk that It would have made me ill. My advice find a different pub.

Started taking a client there on Mondays for the client to be epileptic she’s had two seziours in this pub my co workers have been disrespected and the client discriminated against disgusting pub enjoy your review ♥️

Popped in for a beer recently and was pleasantly surprised. Very warm welcome and bottled ales on offer as cask ale isn't an option as it goes off without selling. No thrills pub but a good local boozer for a quiet afternoon beer. Pool table and darts board.
