Arranged to meet a biker there for breakfast. Pass the café many times in the past but never stopped there before. Ordered a normal breakfast with a mug of tea at a cost of £9.00. The tea was like tea but the breakfast was very disappointing. on the plate there was a fried egg obviously cooked in a pan filled with oil ( rubber egg ), a large portion of chopped tinned tomatoes, a spoonful of catering quality baked beans, two rasher of bacon that appeared to be boiled rather than fried or grilled and two large sausages that I would be surprised if they contained 5% meat. All edible just! Sorry ladies but I will just be passing by in the future

We are not bikers but stopped here many times ….years ago though. This place is dirty .My husband found a long hair in his breakfast and the comment was”sorry about that! “ Bread was “cotton wool “and the cheapest you can get. In view of that we found the prices high ….in comparison for instance to the truck stop on A5 Toilets not very clean ,window sills filthy, and generally needed a good clean. No skin off our nose…it is still very popular with the bikers but we won’t be calling again.

Stopped here for a quick lunch with my partner & our Dog after walking through Comer Woods & ended up coming back the next day too! - Due to the amazing staff, they are so lovely, friendly, helpful & funny! Such a warm, cosy, happy atmosphere & vibe here - perfect for a chill & wind-down. They make such a fuss of our dog too, who also loves this place as much as we do! They provided a personal water bowl and doggy sausages & she got lots of strokies from the staff. The food was great value for money, big tasty portions - we left both times happy, full & satisfied. We are going back home to Wigan in 3 days so will be sad to not live close to this place to visit… but we will most likely be back for a third time before we leave! The highlight of our holiday - meeting such lovely people here - the Food Stop Cafe staff:) Thank you Food Stop Cafe (bikers) - from Leah & Ben (young Wigan couple) & our Dog Lyla (little black Lab) xx

The staff here are really friendly, plenty of tables inside, clean toilets, good food, there is a viewing room inside ,looking over the severn valley, towards the mountains in Wales. This is a real Bikers stop ,free bike papers, lots ads board, good routes from here.,on a damp day mainly 4 wheels. Note the car park at the front is on a slope, and it has caught many a biker out, bikes have toppled over when caution has been overlooked.

Regularly visit this cafe for a mid morning snack prior to a ride out somewhere. Food is reasonable with no issues to mention and staff always friendly. Only issue is the the carpark could do with some improvements. Just as you enter there is an incline which can cause problems parking and a few have dropped their bikes as a result. My partner hates the right hand side of the carpark due to this, but we still keep going back as on the whole it's s good meeting place.

Spotted this place on the way south on Sunday, and made a mental note to check out on return. Safe to say it was fantastic! Obviously quiet on a winter Tuesday morning in January, but friendly reception, swift delivery of two very impressive sausage and bacon butties and a mug of tea and a hot chocolate. Warm and welcoming, passably busy with local trades and a few locals and their beautifully well behaved collie. This is a must do now.

Stopped here en-route to a biking event in Oxford, it was late afternoon and a quick brew was order of the day. I promised myself a stop on the way back and that's what happened - the second stop was on a Sunday and it was packed with fellow bikers. I reckoned it might be a while before I was served but the queue was short enough and within twenty minutes or so a full English was delivered. It was BIG ! The ingredients in the meal were fine and well cooked - presentation was spot on. Nothing at all to complain about, kept me going for the rest of the day. Well worth a stop.

It's a biker cafe. They are always fun to pull in to ( when you are on a motorbike!) I'm intrigued to know why this one is so popular though We stopped by on a Sunday morning for breakfast the q was out the door so you have great expectations that breakfast must be worth waiting for here. We queued for 15 minutes and then waited for an hour for food. The numbering system for the orders coming out was all over the piace . Most disappointing of all though was the food itself. Ordered English breakfasts - limp sausages (microwaved??) and barely cooked bacon. They are doing a roaring trade here, but could improve in so many ways ( decor is one!) So.... Go to see bikes bikes bikes, but don't go for the cuisine!

Don't be put off by the fact that this is a long-standing biker's cafe: this is a clean, welcoming place. A fine view across the Severn's valley too. Bit of a whiff of grease, but the teas, coffees and snacks were all fine. Not exceptional, but nothing to complain about either. Service is from a single counter and was a bit disorganised when we visited mid-afternoon. We noted that of the three staff around, only one was serving while the others were cleaning, though a second staff member came back to serve when the queue started to get restive. Presumably around lunchtime service is slicker.

For starters, this is a transport/biker cafe so people of delicate personalities or searchers of haute cuisine, this possibly isn't the place for you. This is a clean, basic, warm cafe with outstanding & huge cooked breakfasts in two sizes. Proper Midlands food, no skimping on the quality or size and only just over £5.00 for a normal sized breakfast. Tea is extra & is proper builders tea & delicious.Staffed by the formidable yet super friendly Karen, the Food Stop cafe is the place to come if you're hungover or starving or want to feel cared for! You feel as if you're part of a big family if you let yourself relax & get talking to the numerous friendly local characters in there.Yes the toilets are a little small if you're a lady biker but this is a triviality & small price to pay plus you know your helmet & expensive leather jacket would be safe left on your table - people look out for each other here. This is a good place to relax on a cold Winter's morning or come along to a busier biker night in the Summer - you don't have to be a biker to go here. I used to hack there on my horse & tie him to the railings, come in my V8 kit car and also on my CBR600. You'd be welcome whatever you drove - or rode!

We are regular visitors to the Red Lion in Myddle. We return every time because the food and service is second to none. We always receive a warm welcome and we know how hard Pete and Jackie and staff work to make sure that their guests are not disappointed. If you fancy a meal out around Shrewsbury (lunch or dinner) then look no further than the Red Lion. You won’t regret it.
