Ive never left a review that isnt 5 stars. But to say we were a bit disappointed today is an understatement. It was almost £10 for a cheese toastie. We dont mind paying a bit more for something special but it looked and tasted so cheaply made. Salad tasted wilted and the coleslaw wasnt for me. The egg barm was okay but very greasy/wet. Coffee was great. Cake was okay but seemed Costco bought which is fine. The staff were really friendly and service was great. The toilets smelled awful. Its a shame such a modern building doesnt have cleaner toilets and also a changing places facility. I understand the council are responsible for the toilets but either way, someone somehow should be ensuring they are nice. Sink was blocked and full of water. Im sad to be leaving this review but hopefully it could inspire change. I didnt complain at the time and i suppose i should but i hate causing drama and it was already quite busy. I know the hospitality industry is suffering and costs are up, but we go to a lot of similar places and by comparison this just isnt value for money for us. Will take a picnic next time i think. In total we paid £23 for a toastie (no chips or crisps), fried egg barm, coffee, and a piece of cheesecake. For the same price elsewhere we have had a much better experience. Im a huge dog lover and loved seeing all the dogs but i did think it would be a nightmare for people who dont like/are scared of dogs.. perhaps they could have a no dogs area so everyone is happy.

A massive thank you to the staff who were here on Friday. Although we were enjoying a drink outside, I had gone inside to feed baby. I hadn't realised the cafe was closing but the staff didn't come and tell me either - no pressure to leave, no comments that they were closing - they just let me sit and feed baby until we done. It was only because I saw the sign on the door that I knew. There are not many places that would have done this but it really was going above and beyond and was very much appreciated.

Good food, and the staff are really nice and friendly. Starting to get expensive, over £10 now for a sausage barmcake and a coffee. Compare that to a full kfc meal which is just under £10

Lots of staff but service was so slow. Seemed to be no order of sort very unorganised. I think it might help on busier/ sunnier days if there could be a separate que just for ice cream. A lot of us in the que wanted just a kids cone but had to wait in the very long que for everybody else to order food and drinks. Might be something you could look at to help speed up service.

A beautiful green in the heart of Worden Park. Frequently attend for a coffee and a cake when visiting the park. The only thing that lets the cafe down is that it gets so busy to the point that I don't feel the staff can cope, there's only one coffee machine so during busy periods you can be left waiting 10 mins for your drink.

I went to this cafe expecting a pleasant experience and a place to relax. What I got was a loud wait for my food. If you want a quick lunch in and out, don’t come here. The menu was mediocre and classic cafe food: toasties, soup and hot drinks. I ordered my food and we were told the wait was 30 minutes. I was shocked by this because it wasn’t so busy. 40 minutes of waiting later we got our food. After all that waiting I think it would have been better to go to the Tesco cafe! In conclusion I think that the service was good, food was good but the wait time wasn’t.

So Where to Begin.... Getting to the place was a task in itself as there were no signs pointing out its direction. But finally we found the place. Ordered an Americano and a Latte, a millionare shortbread and a Flapjack £15.00. Which is outright extortionate. Atmosphere was dead. If you didn't have a dog with you, the patrons stared at you like you were a psychopath. Onto the main topic. COFFEE, the Americano was totally burnt nasty and bitter. The average temperature of an Americano should be between 85 deg - 93deg. The espresso machine was definitely running hotter than that, but the additional water added clearly was temperature set for tea, not coffee. Please call yourself a tea house. The latte is the same thing here burnt taste since the group head is set way too high of a temperature. And again, the latte was extremely hot, being that it should be between 60- 70 degrees. Note to owners that if the coffee can burn your hands through the cup, it is too hot to be a coffee. The Flapjack was clearly made using margarine as it had a plastic artificial taste to it. And the Millionare shortbread had a very artificial sweet taste to it. Costing £7 for 2 items of that poor quality is daylight robbery. Since i was on my way to Manchester the 1st thing i did was stop off at an actual coffee shop such as ManCoCo deansgate throw the still piping hot Americano and latte in the Bin and go get an actual consumable coffee. IMO, the management needs to review the temperatures that the equipment is set to and train the staff on how to use the equipment correctly. Check that their suppliers are not giving them a subpar product and definitely review the prices compared to actual good coffee shops. I did drive quite out my way since i was at CW berry to get there and it has left me very very disappointed especially to see all the great reviews which it clearly did not live up to or the patrons who regularly visit have such low standards for such extortionate prices.

Fantastic place to relax and enjoy a snack or meal. Great atmosphere with high ceilings and loads of space and light, very dog friendly. I don't own one, but the dogs that were there were very polite. I've been there a couple of times for breakfast and indulged in a sausage barm and vegetarian ciabatta, both were extremely good, made from quality ingredients and extremely tasty. The hot chocolate was lovely too, extremely decadent. The service is impeccable, super friendly and efficient. Faultless performance overall, I'll definitely be back.

A bright open and welcoming cafe. Order and pay at counter once you find a table. Lots of tables available. Stone floors of an old barn give a rustic feel. Dogs are welcome - BUT there were a lot - well behaved . It might be worth reserving a no dogs section for those that are not so keen on having dogs around them while eating (us). It's just not our choice. The food is freshly prepared and was very good. The avocado and feta on sourdough was full of flavour. The haddock goujons were soo good. The staff are lovely and friendly.

Although being sited in a nice location unfortunately the end experience is let down due to poor hygiene and training of staff members. On ordering coffee and waiting for delivery we witnessed the young man delivering the coffee to our table put his hands down his pants to pull up his trousers prior to grabbing the tray. As the cups were full he then used both of his thumbs to press the cups to saucers by placing them along the rim of the cups before passing each cup to us in turn. Needless to say we did not want to drink our coffee after this and threw it away. Usually I would have mentioned this to the manager but as the que was huge we didn’t fancy waiting and then explaining everything in front of a room full of people.

The place looks lovely and the food on display looked delicious. We only popped in for a take away coffee to which I ordered a latte. The only issue I had was that when I got it, it had the temperature of milk that had been left out in the sun. Tasted great but would've have been better hot. That being said I will be coming back, when it's not so busy, definitely to try other things and maybe I'll be lucky to get a hot one :)

Absolutely, this establishment is undeniably a truly wonderful and captivating place to visit. It is genuinely heartwarming to witness its creation, finally filling the long-felt void in the park's offerings and meeting the demands and desires of the visitors for a considerable period of time. The overall experience here is a delightful amalgamation of delightful cuisine, tantalizing beverages, and impeccable service that consistently leaves patrons thoroughly impressed and satiated. The quality and execution of the food, the variety of drinks on offer, and the attentive service provided all contribute to an exceptionally enjoyable and gratifying dining experience. However, amidst this overwhelming praise, it is only fair to highlight that the immense popularity and well-deserved positive reception of this establishment inevitably result in its high levels of patronage. While this is undoubtedly a testament to the exceptional job they have done in creating such an inviting and rewarding venue, it does present a noteworthy challenge for some visitors to secure a spot during peak hours. Given the remarkable reputation they have earned, it is no surprise that the place tends to get bustling, making it somewhat arduous to secure a reservation or find an available table promptly. Nevertheless, this minor inconvenience should not overshadow the fact that this establishment has truly succeeded in meeting the long-awaited expectations of the park's visitors, bringing joy, satisfaction, and a sense of community to all who have the privilege of experiencing it. The remarkable achievements of this venue, both in terms of the delightful offerings and the undeniable popularity, are a testament to the passion and dedication with which it was conceived and brought to life. Undoubtedly, it has become a true gem in the heart of the park, cherished by locals and tourists alike, and leaving a lasting impression on all who come to revel in its delights.
