Came in for food and a couple drinks, the service I got was top notch, Shannon absolutely smashed it out the park with her professional but friendly service, would definitely recommend.

Cheap but in the wrong sense. Not a typical Hungry Horse. You get a good price but a very small portion. We’ve tried it a few times and come away hungry every time. Even today, when - from experience - we opted for the ‘Super’ (size) portions. Further the food is poor quality. The table hadn’t been cleaned and that’s also been the case before. Not a great atmosphere and with TVs everywhere with football on, it didn’t seem like they were trying to create a relaxing restaurant feel. It was the bank holiday weekend, when it should have been packed, but there was just a handful of customers; I think that tells you something. - Only go if you just want drinks!

Great food. Tasty, plentiful and in many ways perfect. Kudos to the head chef (Sharon/Sharni?). Chirpy cheerful knowledgeable front of house (Chloe) made it a pleasurable experience from order to plate to full bellies. Will 100% return and tell friends and family about this little gem

Went today, young lady who served me at the bar was friendly and attentive but the wait staff miserable and rude. Food was overcooked, most inedible and the cutlery and glasses were absolutely filthy! Had to ask for new cutlery and second lot came dirty again! Wouldn't return

Long wait for food to be brought out. Food was brought out at different times for people on same table (table of two). Some of the staff needed to learn customer skills. No chat, no smiling, no interaction. Food was good once here. Generous portion sizes

So I ordered the mega mixed grill which was nice although the sausages had definitely been sitting for a while, they weren't hot but edible. My steak was cooked perfectly and the gammon was really good, the chicken breast however wasn't the best that was a little chewy and no real flavour. My dessert however was excellent it was a massive glass of ice cream and cream with mixture of sweets in it and was very tasty. Would I go back..... Yes I would go back and I would try a different dish as some dishes are better than others. Overall I had a nice experience.

We visited The Folly for my dad’s 68th birthday meal, and the customer service from Chloe was absolutely impeccable. She was approachable, kind, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—nothing was too much trouble for her. The food was decent, though it was a bit of a shame that not everything arrived at the same time. That said, the overall experience was still enjoyable, and Mollie’s outstanding service really made the evening special. Would definitely return!

Good service by friendly staff. Was a little sceptical about the quality of the Sunday Roast given the price but it was absolutely delicious: perfect portions and exactly as described, including “lean, full of flavour beef and plenty of gravy.” Will definitely be back again soon.

Haven't been here in years. Was a little unsure with past reviews, but was very impressed. Family of 4, great price. Hot, delicious food, came out in good time, and bar staff/waitresses were friendly & polite. Thank you. 🙂

This should have been a very positive comment for this pub, but what I witnessed was ABSOLUTELY unforgivable. A customer started energetically throwing a ‘soft’ ball to a dog up and down the bar, full length of it. Dog was rocketing up and down the bar area. Busy pub, people were eating and walking around, and staff were carrying food. This is Totally dangerous and unfair to the dog and customers. This is a reportable H&S breach because the staff didn’t stop it and a staff member even became actively involved in the activity. I only wish I hadn’t seen it, but unfortunately it paints a picture.

Amazing evening in The Folly this evening food was lovely and not a long wait at all. Staff were so polite and friendly and I'm sure our waitress was called Casey im not sure how she spells it, very polite and even put up with our fussy child! Would definitely be back again. Thank you 😊

3rd time now website says open till 11 but apparently you get kicked out when the management decides they are tired 9.30 last time literally asked to leave at 10 absolutely out of order

Always pop in for a drink. Staff are always so friendly, welcoming and happy to have a chat. They’re always so nice, cheery and happy.

The more i go the more i like this place, clean, tidy, outstanding service, helpful bar staff, and had the best roast dinner ive had in a pub for years, but what floats my boat to make me happy is they settle the Guinness, and not many pubs do now, outstanding place, will attend again to get a settled Guinness.

We went this past Sunday….Food was not the best at all! Service was incredibly slow, only one girl waiting on. Bar very slow. Dirty tables everywhere covered in empty plates, glasses etc. Our table felt like it hadn’t been wiped in weeks!!! Drinks glasses water stained and had to send some back due to old lipstick on glass rim!! 🤮 Wall in the booth we sat in was covered in mould. Place looks very unloved & run down. Now I remember why I haven’t been in there for the past 4 years!! Won’t be going back again!!

Outstanding pub!! I visited with my family for our traditional family get together. The food was amazing, the staff were very welcoming. All the staff went above and beyond. Sharni (I think who is the manager) couldn’t have done more to make sure me and my family had an amazing time. Definitely will be back!! Thanks again.

A cheap and cheerful pub. We ordered the burger, sizzler combo as we’ve had it before in other pubs from this chain. The portion size here was a lot smaller than elsewhere. The cutlery, crockery and glasses were grubby. I stood at the bar for approximately 5 mins calling into the kitchen to get someone to serve me at the bar. No one in earshot. We sat in the window and it was cold. Next to radiators but they weren’t on. Background music would’ve been nice. A lovely afternoon catch up with friends but I don’t think we will be returning.

Quite quiet when we arrived. Staff very polite and attentive. Had all the food we ordered. Didn't have to wait long for the food. Was piping hot and well presented and tasted great.

We were served by Theo and Chloe this evening. It was busier tonight then before so food was a little longer but not to long. Again I had steak and it was cooked perfectly. So many restaurants struggle to get the perfect med/rare but yet again it was here. Between Theo and Chloe the service was quick and efficient. Both my daughters loved their meals and we will definitely come back here. Thank you both

Sandy texture crumble Disappointed that's not the full range of products were available (puddings) Limited gf menu especially puddings Not all drinks available and Fanta looked and tasted watered down. Toilets were very unhygienic (ladies) Quick service, helpful staff.

Really quick service and the food was lovely. Didn’t have the right bits in for dessert but still pulled it out of the bag by making something different but the almost the same. Amazing. Extra special mention to grace for being lovely and friendly and great with my kids. Thanks very much will be back again!

We just had our Xmas dinner, portions were really generous, food of good quality and really great service.

Fantastic meal where the staff were friendly and helpful. We came for a meal before Christmas and the meet and greet with santa made the afternoon for the children. Will definitely be coming again.
