Beautiful bar,we were sad that we were unable to dine.the staff were lovely and offered us snacks and crisps unfortunately we were looking for something more substantial.

Called in with my husband for a drink while we were staying in Boston. The staff were really nice and friendly and the owner came round with a tapas menu which they were trying out for the first time. We had 4 dishes and homemade bread, all for £17.95. It was absolutely delicious and definitely value for money. When we come to Boston again we will definitely be retuning for more tapas and drinks and friendly staff. 5*****

Would not recommend! It took the full hour and a half for everyone to get their food, a couple of plates were brought a time then a long wait for the next ones. No skewers with salami so subbed for bacon, no hog for the loaded fries so they put chicken nuggets on the chips, then ran out of chips for the last ones to be served food so they ended up with a pile of hash browns instead!!! Our booking was made weeks in advance as it was a large party so they should’ve been prepared and we’d pre-ordered the food too! Cocktails just full of ice and leaves not much alcohol and just tasted like the mixer in them! Would not pay £35 for this! On a positive note, the drivers option at £15 was really good value, the breakfast and the mocktails were polar opposites to the cocktails and brunch bits and really good!

be careful, be careful with the payment, they always try to charge more!! Last night we were there and the same beer was always different prices... promocion was 2 for 8 and when we go to take another round of beer they always charge 2 for 10... When have there the promotion in front of them 2 for 8! Last time we bought 5 and the bartender only put 4 on the counter and started lying that he had put 5, just because he can't serve 2 customers at the same time without mistakes... bad service.. we called the manager to ask where the problem was with the beers and she just screamed like a chicken saying it was rude to ask what was wrong... very bad customer service

Really nice place and friendly staff. The cocktails are lovely and you get a good range. However I will say it’s very pricy! 12 of us went in for a Xmas party and 2 of us decided to treat us all to a shot of jam donut. Needless to say we was very shocked that it cos £60 for 12 shots!! £5 a shot! Which in my eyes is ridiculous for a small town like Boston. Other than the price the place is nice and the staff were friendly (just double check the prices before you order anything)

Perhaps we should have read the reviews here before visiting but enter we did. What an error. To cut a long story short 15 minutes or so after taking our order we finally saw the server putting our order through. This was after he had to go and check on some items although when he came back he then checked what we had ordered. We were expected to pay before he even put the order through. After another 35 minutes or so there was no sign of food. I queried how long it was likely to be and was told about 10 minutes. I explained that we needed to be at the marina and was it possible to have it as a takeaway. They went off to check and at this point we actually asked for our money back as clearly not lot of effort was going into getting ready. No chance of a refund. Anyway got as a takeaway and went to the marina where we discovered a hot dog missing along with 2 portions of chunky chips coleslaw and sauerkraut. So, for not a small amount of money we got a takeaway at eat in prices with numerous things missing. Oh but our 7 year old granddaughter got a Paw Patrol surprise egg. Her excitement knew no bounds Suggest you walk on by

We went for a drink and something to eat. The place looked nice. The young girl at the bar was clueless. She didn’t know what was a bitter or what was an ale. Ended up with my partner having a good half and me a pint instead of the other way round. My partner asked if they did food and she said no. We moved outside with our drinks and when we were leaving we noticed some people at a table with a food menu so my partner said to her “just one thing you said there was no food”. She replied “yes just the bottomless brunch”. My partner said that’s food”. She just looked clueless and walked away. The place was empty, now we know why lol. Anyway went to Prezzo and had a lovely meal. They should just shut it down 🙄

Went for an afternoon brunch this afternoon, we all had the drivers package as we were driving. The strawberry whizz was very nice but that’s the only thing of the whole afternoon. Staff weren’t bothered, lacked enthusiasm, when we tried to get their attention they turned to play with straws. A flat white and latte were ordered and they were untouchable as they were just milk. Waited for over an hour on the pre ordered food, on the all day breakfast the sausages were black, uneditable. Tomatoes weren’t grilled, baked beans thick from being in the microwave too long. Toast was rock solid, the same with the avocado toast too. The poor people who had waffles had two supermarket waffles with a couple of raspberries thrown in. Eggs Benedict was scrambled egg not poached. For £15 per person it wasn’t worth any! Luckily the company of my friends made up for the supermarket overcooked food and undrinkable drinks.

Treat customers poorly - avoid The interior of the Folly was actually really nice Food wasn't amazing but not awful A couple of the draft pints came flat which isn't ideal but not end of the world, the cocktails were pretty decent The problem was when the waiter accidently took away a couple of half full drinks, we brought this up to the staff who "checked" and confirmed nobody had taken our drinks from outside, the manager made us feel like we were in the wrong and were making it up. He refused to make us new drinks. I pointed out there was a camera on the area where the drinks were taken from, they didn't seem to care and didn't look at this just brushed us off Put a bad taste in our mouth as they essentially made out we were lying, I wasn't even too fussed about a couple drinks going missing, more the way they dealt (or more so didn't) deal with the situation

Nice stylish bar in Boston (the only one we found). We were seated quickly and the young lady (wearing glasses) who served us was quick and friendly. Only downside was when we entered we were told to take our hoodies off (waterproofs it was peeing down) only to get inside and see a table of lads all wearing hoodies.

After visiting yesterday lunchtine with my Wife and Daughter , I can honestly say we won't be going back, once in the door you have to wait to be seated which didn't take long after the Lady finished chatting with the chef, we was taken outside where as they wasn't busy able to pick a table of our choice. After 25 minutes of waiting to be served went to the bar and asked are we meant to order from the bar as its been 25 minutes and nobody has taken our drink or food order. The 2 girls behind the bar didn't look surprised at all and looked like this is the norm.... Finally they came to take the order.. the 2 premium lagers were sold out , the popping candy for my daughter mocktail was sold out, this I mid week surely the manager can plan better than this?? The fastest thing was the the card machine to be rammed under your nose to pay, you don't get told or showed how much it is just thurusted at you with the contact less end . My biggest question is why when you invest money in the building (which does look good ) can you not spend a little time in training your staff!! And if anything from yesterday was to go by may be an idea to replace the Manager with someone who is experienced as stock issues and staffing issues and staff training fall firmly at there feet. No one else to blame other than the Manager... This could be a decent place with the right staff.. suggest this Is looked at before it's too late

An hour and 20 mins wait for food and drinks. Placed an order for drinks and food and despite asking 2 people to check nothing seemed to happened. Finally on third attempt and several back and forths by staff and asking what we ordered they blamed it on new member of staff who had finished for the evening and not processing the order correctly. Ordered more drinks after this and after no drinks arriving for 30 minutes and us having to leave, they wouldn’t give a refund (you have to pay for each round when ordering). They say there policy for a refund is that to issue a refund u have to wait 30mins plus 5 mins per drink. As these involved shots it’s 5 mins per shot. So we would of had to have waited an hour for a refund. Did complain and they said a manager would call me but a week later and nothing. Everyone makes mistakes but it’s how you deal with them after. Very poor and disappointed.

Would give just 2* from 5* . So many things to improve with a quality of food and drinks! Let's start from begining . Interior design inside and outside is lovely! Carpet on the the to ladies is so dirty (is not so difficult to hoover) . We was waitting so long for a drinks ,wasn't busy at the time.. When finally I got my drinks ,refused to drink a coffee becouse was planty of the coffee seeds. Asked for new one,received a same quality! Can you provide some training for yours staff member how to make a coffee even and coctail(Cosmopolitan) wasn't so good.... I been working so many years in the bar and even was providing trainings for new starters. Pizza was not so bad,extra 5-7min more in the oven can good decision... Trio sandwich wasn't cooked well... 1 from 3 of them wasn't cooked at all 🤦‍♀️ Common ,what is wrong... we really didn't enjoyed and not gonna recommend this place. You need to improve. From all our order was good milkshake and fries for a kid. Custumer service is good ,very nice and polite !

I love the decor, and the whole environment. Great job in re inventing the place, however the price of drinks is very very expensive indeed. Yes it was busy to start, you had to book a table, and it was a new place, so everybody wants to check it out. But obviously time will tell. Whenever i go by, theres no one in there. It appears they are trying to take the pub into a new era, pushing cocktails like crazy. Selling 2 pint glasess, when ya only want a pint. 1 pint of lager is £4.60, nearly £9 /cocktail, didnt eat food. I feel for em, i really do, but unfortunatly you are not in a city, at the top of a shopping complex, charging extortionate prices. You are in a market town. Opersite a Taxi rank, an Boots, Not looking down on a cathederal or Museum, or a Zoo, or even a Marks and Sparks. Maybe they are trying to pull in people that dont care how much it cost for drinks, hey GOOD luck on finding them, i wont be returning. The host was very assertive and helpfull. Toilets amazingly clean and hygenic Unfortunatly i wont be re visiting

On 4th May, my Son and I went to The Folly for lunch. It was not busy, therefore expected service to be swift. After 10 minutes of waiting, he had to request that he be served. The food and beverages were ordered and payed for, but no receipt was given as the till was "not working". Wefinished our drinks, and my Son enquired how much longer the food would be. The staff were apologetic but said they had OMITTED TO SEND THE ORDER DOWN!! After 40 minutes, they insisted the food would arrive soon, but as we had to be elsewhere, requested a refund. Staff refused, saying it was not company policy. We had no choice but to leave with no food and no refund. As advised by staff, I emailed to request my money be returned. This was a week ago. They haven't even acknowledged my letter. I shall be taking this further. Previously known as The Waterfront.

Stopped in Boston to break our journey home and spotted this near where we parked and from outside it looked lovely. Two toasted tea cakes and two black coffees £12 The two stars were for the friendly staff. The place was filthy- dirty chairs and tables and toilets a disgrace-certainly not been cleaned for a while judging by the number of cobwebs, dirty broom and toilet brush. So disappointed- won’t be visiting again.

Started coming here most morning now before work, really relaxing place and great drinks
