As a group of 16 we were greeted, seated and watered, efficiently and professionally. Some changes were made to pre ordered food which was accommodated and nothing seemed too much. Thoroughly enjoyable meal with no complaints. Thank you

Our first visit to the Fleece , travelled 55 miles because our local was fully booked (yes we're crazy) The best part of our visit had to be the Romanian person with the blue hair . They chatted to everyone in the room and we had a couple of conversations too . Very interesting , gave us great service so thank you for making our experience a great one . Great food too , worth the drive 🚗

I’m appalled at this place I just popped in to the fleece to be ignored at the bar. The lady was to busy filling up the stock. And left waiting for 15 minutes so I left this place. I would have given it a zero start. Need to get your priorities right.

Attended our beloved local with family and friends on a Thursday night. Enjoyed a top evening of food and drink...we were well served by all the friendly staff. The excellent table service from Rhianna was especially appreciated, thank you guys.

Great Sunday roast. The sirlion of beef was incredible. Salt beef hash cake & a poached egg for starter, lovely. The ice cream was a bit tasteless so a bit of room for improvement there, but it didn't put me off going back

Have eaten at the Fleece many times and have never been disappointed. Good menu with pub classics but also some imagination, and enough choice without being over-the-top. Great to see the fresh fish on offer. Everything always well-cooked and served with attentive charm by all the team.

I had a brilliant afternoon at the Fleece for Sunday lunch! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch, Sarah behind the bar always made sure I had a pint ready for when mine was empty. Great atmosphere sat at the bar in front of the log burner. Emma was very accommodating with our table pushing it back to allow us more time socialise and drink. The food was exceptional, I had the chicken livers followed by the pork roast with all the trimmings. Katie and Michaela made sure we had plenty to drink on the table without having to return to the bar. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious meal with outstanding service! Will definitely be returning.

Family Sunday lunch after a visit to Bolton Abbey. Food was delicious. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Dog friendly with water bowls and dog blankets. Beautiful old pub. Lovely!

Great birthday brunch super staff

We visited the fleece today and we wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazing I had the beef Sunday lunch and it was the best beef I’ve had in ages. We had a lovely time with a couple of bottles of red and some lovely desserts. We was seated in the restaurant area pleasantly lit with candles. The service was amazing the waitresses looked after us very well. We was offered nibbles which we ordered before our mains we can’t all quite manage a starter and a main now a days.We certainly will be back.we was made to feel very welcome and the fire roaring as you enter is a lovely touch

One female server was too busy chatting to bother serving customers even after noticing people waiting at the bar. The attitude of another female server was rude and stuck up. A third female server who brought our food just put the food down and walked off, so we had to ask for condiments. Sat in tap room, which had an electric heater but was still cold, as we had a dog, other people with dogs were offered tables (not pre booked) in the main bar/barn. Fish pie was tasty, but the sauce was so thin, more like soup.

Don’t bother. Staff members all rude and always an underwhelming experience!

Absolutely love this pub. It’s the heart of the village. Emma, Sarah and the team are doing such a fabulous job running what has always been a local go to spot. The food is without a doubt the best it has been in my 30 years of visiting. Keep up the good work!

We had a fantastic lunch at The Fleece just after new year. We had booked a table of 14 and were given the private dining area which was a real treat! Everyone was happy with their lunch orders - fish pies could have done with potato topping rather than pastry.. the service and the atmosphere were fantastic!

We went for a casual lunch as we were snowed in. Our waitress Katie was wonderful, so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food was excellent. we will visit again

All tables very busy but staff coped admirably. Any delays well-explained. Two excellent waitresses who served us - could not read name badges so cannot identify.

Lovely meal to wrap up our festive celebrations. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff greeted us with a “Happy New Year” which was lovely. We were a family group with a toddler and young child and felt very comfortable. We would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back

Mixed experience at The Fleece. Lovely atmosphere in the bar and the whole place is nicely decorated in an upmarket style. Senior member of staff was very welcoming and looked after us. Food was disappointing though: the overpriced and over promised burger was appropriately overdone (not once but twice) and came with a maddeningly tiny portion of bog standard fries (in a metal cup kidding no one) and nothing else included - onions rings, salad etc. Regular fish and chips was under done and on the small side given it was £17+. The “small” must be tiny! Final thing - staff chatting about hating their shifts/work etc - why do this when customers can obviously hear?!

A wonderful meal, the barest steak was excellent and perfectly cooked. I cannot fault a thing. One of the best meals out I’ve had.

We ate at The Fleece today and we had the chateaubriand which came with cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets and loads of veg. The steak was so tasty and everything was cooked to perfection. Shout out to Emma, Michaela and Katy who served us.

Fantastic meal at the Fleece Inn, we arrived at 12-30 to be the first customer in the lovely restaurant and within half an hour the place was full and buzzing with a lovely atmosphere. There was a great menu and some lovely extras on the specials board! I had the kerelan curry which was superb and my wife had fish and chips. The service was fantastic from the moment we arrived and I'm sure we will be back!

A wonderful evening, perfect ambience, attentive service. The food was wonderful. My bavette steak was beautiful, one of the best best meals out I have had.

We had a lovely meal. My sister is vegetarian and she had eggs Benedict with avocado which she said was delicious. I had a fillet steak. It was by far one of the best steaks I have had.

Slow service in beginning, waited 25mins to be served a beverage. Xmas dinner, potatoes undercooked, sprouts undercooked, turkey lovely but bacon around well undercooked. Steak superb.

We love The Fleece! What a wonderful time we had on Christmas Day with The Fleece team. Gorgeous food - some of the best soup I’ve ever had, provided by a wonderful and calm team who couldn’t do more for you. Big thanks to Emma and the team member with the awesome electric blue hair (I forgot to ask their name haha!). Big thanks to the whole team who were super busy but super wonderful - we hope you got a rest afterwards. I would thoroughly recommend a visit - Christmas Day or otherwise, it’s a great cosy space.

What an incredible place to have my first solo Christmas dinner ! The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was second to none and the atmosphere incredible! Just had a great pre-Christmas lunch at The Fleece with a group of friends. We've tried a few other restaurants in Yorkshire, but we always keep coming back to The Fleece, even though we live south of Leeds, as every time we've visited the food has been superb, the service excellent and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Thank you to all the staff at The Fleece for making our visit so enjoyable, with special thanks to Tilly for looking after us so brilliantly. We'll be back in 2025 for sure!

Came for a meal with my family to celebrate christmas, I had the burger and it was delicious. The service from Michaela and Immy was fantastic, I can't wait to return in the new year!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed our meal with the #camramblers on Saturday. Although we were a large group, everything was wonderfully coordinated, very tasty and hot. The brie starter was beautiful and the fish pie delicious. Finally the apple strudel was so substantial I couldn't quite finish it despite its exceptional quality. I wish I had taken photos of the food to share here but I was too busy enjoying the occasion in this really stunning amazing pub. All staff were friendly and helpful and I won't leave it another year to go back!

We where a group of 42 walkers, having the 3 course festive menu, when you book for such a large group you do expect 1 or 2 to have something thats not quite up to standard. Most thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the service. Also the room upstairs was brilliant, with a walm and welcoming atmosphere. A massive thank you to everyone at the Fleece. Fantastic birthday lunch for family and friends at the Fleece. Welcomed and shown to our table by Emma, the food was delicious, atmosphere excellent and the semi private dining area allowed us to feel able to be a little louder than in a crowded restaurant. Designated waitress Rihanna was attentive, and the whole afternoon went really well. We will be back next time!

Had our yearly Christmas “do” at the Fleece last Saturday and have to say that we were disappointed with the food this year, last year having been far better. Main course veggies were cold, the roast potatoes leathery and hard to cut, and the turkey roll was of reasonable quality meat, (there were some fatty/grisly bits), but filled with an overly peppery stuffing. The sponge pudding and custard was very nice but on its own unable to negate the aforementioned shortfalls of the overall meal! Atmosphere was great, the beer excellent and the service prompt. Will we be back next year? Hmmm…

Unfortunately the veg for the main course was stolen cold. Mentioned it to the serving staff and all they did was say sorry. Eventually got my meal warmed up (in a microwave I reckon). Simply not good enough.

My wife and I went for lunch whilst on a short stay in North Yorkshire following a recommendation we had been given. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. I had the chicken pot pie and my wife had the fish pie, both of which were very good. Would recommend a visit to anyone.

Ordered from the festive menu for a late lunch with my son. I had the smoked haddock florentine to start which was absolutely delicious. The dish was beautifully presented and the poached egg was perfect. Unfortunately two of the four main course options were unavailable but I had the lentil shepherds pie which, whilst very nice, was slightly dry. This was soon rectified by the addition of some gravy. For dessert I chose the mandarin and vanilla cheesecake which was deliciously light and creamy. As always, the service from Anyela, Claire, Katy and Lorraine was fantastic and the restaurant area looked delightful with its Christmas decorations. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Ate on a Monday lunchtime. Lovely, friendly welcome from Michaela. Atmosphere always good. Just marked down a notch this time, as I thought my Turkey lunch was a bit uninspiring. Lovely roasties, turkey a little on dry side and choice of veg a bit disappointing.

It’s lovely, the building is cozy and warm. The staff are lovely and helpful. The food is great, I normally go for the fish pie and I would have it again, my partner had a steak and it tasted great.

Went for Sunday Brunch, absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Stayed in a very fancy hotel recently and this was better! Love the Fleece, Emma and all her staff (and dog) are so welcoming.

Although haven’t been for a while it’s a local go to place for good pub food and lively atmosphere.

We travelled up to Yorkshire to go on the Steam train at Bolton Abbey, for the polar express. Decided to stop off at the Fleece Inn, wow, a beautiful meal, staff great. Will definitely be stopping off again, on our next visit to the Dales. Thanks

Well, one wonders why there is a remarks section in the booking form. That’s 2 visits out of 3 where the Fleece owners have failed to acknowledge birthdays. This time it was a double celebration of my son and his grandfather. Completely ignored the booking notes. It wasn’t busy - no excuse. Service was mediocre at best. Waiter interrupted waitress whilst taking our orders. Drinks orders were wrong (regular champagne as opposed to rosé). One drink served in a cracked glass. Had to ask on 2 different occasions for unused glasses to be moved - the staff were just plonking down drinks in the (limited) area available. Looking through the reviews of this establishment, poor service seems to be the theme. Many items missing off the menu. Food mediocre and overpriced. Staff were rude when I offered gentle and polite feedback. No significant apology at yet another birthday oversight. Manager who got in touch simply backed up her staff without shouldering responsibility. I would strongly recommend you avoid this establishment. It has been fraught with ups and downs over the years and it is now amidst another downward spiral.

Beautiful food in a beautiful pub with great service!

We booked our pre wedding dinner, at the Fleece for 15 people. They gave us a beautiful private room upstairs. Many of our guests were American & they were blown away with the room. As for the meals, they were superb, as was the wine. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. They were outstanding both in flavour & presentation. The staff couldn't do enough for us, they were all so attentive. I would highly recommend the Fleece and we will definitely be returning.

Completely missed the fact that it was a double birthday celebration over 2 generations. Service haphazard to say the least. Drinks orders wrong as each time the lady was taking orders, the gentleman would interrupt her to ask about another matter. Waiter was scatty and many items missing off the menu. Food average and overpriced. Last visit to this overrated ‘gastro’ pub. Truly awful.

This is the second time we have experienced excellent food and service at The Fleece in Addingham. We do not often eat out, so when we do, we want it to be special. The Fleece was also an obvious choice as we travelled back from a day in the Dales after a long walk, with its relaxed and comfortable environment making us feel welcome.

We had a lovely birthday celebration with friends. The service from our young server was attentive and friendly. She told the kitchen staff we were celebrating a birthday and they produced a chocolate 'happy birthday' plate with desserts. Our food was good and nicely presented and the general atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.

What a great pub, The Fleece is ! We live towards York so a good hour for us, but well worth it Super courtyard with a sail type cover and a few heaters for the hardy souls Inside, we were greeted with a really warm welcome. Traditional pub with stone floor etc Oh and dog friendly too ! We were served by the lovely Emma S. whose smile and warm nature was so evident. A special person. We don’t think she quite realises how very good she is at her job ! The food was good honest above average pub grub 2 mains, a wine and a soft drink was less than £60. Great value considering the quality of food and the great service

Came here for a quick bite to eat. We sat outside, cool seating area; perfect in summer! The staff were very friendly and funny and the food was yummy!

The staff in the restaurant were all lovely, very friendly and attentive. They were kind towards our dog which was nice. There was an initial delay waiting in the bar to get seated, of about 10 mins which started to feel a little uncomfortable. In fact, another couple walked out whilst we were waiting. The food was slightly disappointing, the fish goujons were overcooked and the batter was bitter tasting, possibly cooked in old oil. The bread was dry and floury. The chorizo was oily. The beef pie was good and the salty chips were ok.
