Love this pub/ restaurant. Would recommend.

Disgusting. Need a major clean up and the food is horrible From this review 6 years ago this Harvester is now a regular place I go. Been modernised, I would only like to add that may need to do a deep clean. To keep it like you had it 👍

Excellent service and food. All the staff were friendly and the whole team are clearly working as one smooth operation. Could not ask for more.

I’ve been to a lot of harvesters and this has to be my favourite. Not had a single issue since going and I’m so happy it’s on my door step, will always choose this location over any other harvester I’ve been too

It's a nice enough place and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I do wish you had the option to have a burger cooked medium rather than well done. Perhaps you can but I wasn't asked. The chips were not that great to be fair.

Lovely family lunch. Delicious food, good service and value for money

We went for a late lunch, shown to a booth, the waitress took our order, we went for our salad, which was all freshly renewed, lots of sauce toppings to choose from, the only criticism was that the rolls were a little dry and hard, but apart from that, everything was fantastic, our meals arrived, they were plentiful, piping hot and soooo delicious, we haven’t been to a harvester, for a few years, and to be fair, we had a really great time, we will definitely, be back again

Love this place, always friendly and helpful staff, food is always top notch, and even if you have to wait for a table, it's worth it.

We were lucky enough to have Brooke as our waitress for the evening. She was warm, welcoming, attentive, and frankly delightful. It’s the first time I’ve eaten at this particular location, but after seeing first hand Brooke and her colleagues, I think I’ll continue to travel a bit further to come here instead.

We came to harvesters on Friday the 5th of July 2024. We had a lovely waiter called Brooke, she welcomed us with the warmest of welcomes and made sure we were comfortable with our meals throughout the whole time. From the beginning of the whole meal I felt as though there were no problems and we had a lovely time. Thank you Brooke for making it happen. We will be back soon.

It's been a while, but I was very happy with the experience this time. Food was good, we had the Chicken and Rib combo, the sage and onion chips were very good. Included salad a bonus, plus refill sodas.

Welcomed and seated very fast but 15 min wait for the host to come to the table and ask about drinks then gabble us dirty salad bowls and cutlery and when we commented on the cleanliness of said items he walked off with annoyed and asked someone else to attend our table. After ordering the food, I’m waiting nearly 30 minutes for it to turn up the food that we had got but already been pre-cooked and warm up and again when ask for fresh food got told they would ask the kitchen then ask for the bill as leaving got charged almost £60 for 2 two course meals and a kids meal with a 40% mins voucher. This all happened on a less than a quarter full restaurants. I will never be going back to that harvester every again .

The salad bar was poor and old food and the bread rolls are so dry I couldn't eat it Food was nasty I had scampi and it was slimmey and didn't taste right so I left it The floors are so slippery and I almost went over 3 times it's so dangerous it also has a very damp smell in there tables was sticky and dirty and food took forever to come out

We come for the £8 chicken special was very nice well worth it . Will defo return. We was served by a very pleasant young man called GOKAY. very sufficient helpful n very well mannered . Thank you GOKAY we will see you again . Great service n good food 👌

Service was very good, the manager at short notice arrange for us to have 2 tables together as our group size increased. Waitresses was friendly. Food was standard Harvester offerings cooked well.

As always my friends and I always get such a warm welcome from all the staff at Harvester Five Bells. The food is always so good, hot, fresh and perfectly cooked.

We had booked online, which was a simple and straightforward process. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Service was quick and food was served promptly. We were all pleased with our meals. Unfortunately, we were too full from our mains, therefore we did not order desserts. The unlimited use of the salad bar is a great bonus when visiting The Harvester. Most of the sections in the salad bar were well stocked. The area was clean and tidy. The bread rolls from the salad bar are delicious!

Went for lunch yesterday and can honestly say totally enjoyed it all. All staff was very friendly and professional and nothing was yo much trouble. Thank you so much we all will be back.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Nicely decorated restaurant. The food was atrocious. The salad bar excellent but the main courses very small and not of a good quality. Was very disappointed with it as I have eaten at harvester before and it's never been bad

Had a lovely meal at the Five Bells this evening, unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked, but the manager on shift, Hannah I believe, was very accommodating and found us an alternative table in the bar area. Ellie was really helpful when doing our order, will be returning soon but will make sure to book !

Having read the reviews we booked for a party of six family members. We haven't been here for four years .What a surprise ,we were greeted at the door by staff and taken to our table .The staff were so pleasant and welcoming . The choices on the menu we all thought as family catered for everyone ,even to asking if we had allergies. The table went quiet when our food arrived it was all cooked to perfection, no complaints from any of us .Well worth a visit highly recomend.

Went here after visiting at basildon hospital. Was great as a mid week quick stop.

So we came in for dinner and received exceptional service from our server Brooke, she was so kind and gave us a warm welcome, she went above and beyond to deliver us our food and probably the best service I’ve ever gotten at a harvester! I took my granddaughter there for a lunch time meal and as she’s a student she should have got a 40% discount on her meal as advertised on her app, so we put it through expecting the discount however the bill came to £2.00 something more than the menu’s price so I brought it to the managers attention and he gave me back the extra £2. However we didn’t get the 40% discount on her meal and we were told that this sort of thing happens all the time. The food was good the menu price was fair however we still felt a little disappointed, it’s a bit of a con so don’t go there expecting a 40% discount if you are a student or you are a member of the emergency services (ie police etc.) as they don’t honour the expected advertised discount!

It's always lovely visiting this Harvester. I'd choose this restaurant every time when eating locally. The staff are always friendly and never rush you to leave (unless they are closing!!). Food is always nice and nothing is too much trouble. Definitely recommend 👌

The food was great the waitresses was friendly and the please was clean everything u want when looking to have something to eat. We didn't have to wait for our food it all came at the same time so we ate together. I can't tell you how good the waitresses was she was so friendly she made my daughter feel at ease

Booked online for Easter Monday tea at short notice. Loved that ✅ Welcomed by a very friendly gentleman in black who showed us to our table. ✅ 3 adults ordered the 3 course Easter menu from the very lovely Kacey. Kacey was very friendly and bubbly. It’s refreshing to meet someone happy at work. Kacey even got our first refill drinks (she could tell we were shattered lol). Brooke served our food which was presented nicely and in good time. Burgers/haddock and chips for main. No complaints from us 👍 Kacey was always attentive and making sure all her tables were happy. Although we were stuffed we had to have the third course of chocolate sponge cake and now I am in a food coma 😋 thank u to Kacey and the team at H5B for helping us round off the Easter Weekend. 🐰

The service we had was very good and we had a really lovely waitress Brooke. Can’t fought her she was very friendly and lovely person to talk to. High recommend if you get Brooke you in good hands.

Good place for families with young children. Service from Hannah was amazing, she really went above and beyond!

The place was clean and staff were frendly but the personal service was not there. The food came out so fast that we hadn't finished our starter before the main was delivered making an already small table very awkward. It felt more like a fast food restaurant than a dining experience. I will be more inclined to use independent venues going forward as the corperate targets mantra has gone too far.

The staff are so welcoming and super friendly, so this Harvester has a lovely atmosphere. This makes you feel nice and relaxed before you even start to eat. Our Server Faye was absolutely excellent at her job and a real credit to Harvester. She had a very nice way about her and knew exactly how to treat us. We chose several small plate starters which were all served hot, tasty and cooked perfectly. There was a small issue with our deserts, which was nicely rectified by Faye. For me 5 Star in every way. Will look forward to returning soon.
