Always my go to Chinese. Love the food here

Seems to be a decline in standards. Just had a takeaway and the chicken balls were very overcooked. Not something that I’ve had before at this takeaway.

food never arrived, tried to call but no answer, absolute mess

Ordered 2 chicken curries and rice via just eat for my brother Stephen’s birthday plus other stuff, delivery was late and cold and one of our chicken curries and rice was missing, plus two spring rolls. Called sunny house and a lady answered, told her items were missing from his order and she literally put the phone on the side and ignored me for five minutes. I put the phone down in the end and requested a refund from just eat. Really disappointed, my brother said he will not be ordering from them again, so rude.

Pre-Ordered through the app.. Asked 2 dishes to be No veg... came with tons of veg.. Asked if the duck can be off the bone and shredded.. ignored request.. Order BBQ Ribs, BBQ sauce was lovely, but the ribs had bearly no meat... I turned up 10 minutes before my collection time. my order was in a heat bag waiting for me.. I live 6 minutes down the road.. I had to microwave the whole order.. wasn't even warm... Considering we spent near £60.. quite disappointed to be fair.. Even tho is was 5pm collection on Christmas Eve, it wasnt busy in the shop. So you can't use that as a excuse..

Ordered direct from takeaway was not cheaper than ordering from Uber. Considering money spent would have at least expected free prawn crackers.

Needs to update opening times as they are wrong. Drove from Benfleet to here before 10:30pm on a Friday night to find it closed. Google says 11pm and is wrong.

Delivery was an hour and 20 minutes late they would not answer the phone and when i went to the shop they had no idea where my order was.....food was very tasty tho

For us, the best Chinese food in our area. Always enjoyable, reasonably priced and delivery never take too long. Delivery drivers are always very polite.

Nice, clean and tidy cuisine. Chicken chow mein is my favorite, spare ribs are not bad as well.

Food filth tried to tell me there's no egg in foo Yung no not in there's phoned to discuss this as well as the condition of the rest of the food Owner very ignorant and in denial won't eat out of hear again pitiful lack of ingredients in all things ordered

Ordered the mixed hors d’oeuvres forgot the seaweed out of it. Chicken chow Mein has no flavour, egg fried rice has no egg, curry sauce is bland. Heard good things and reasonably priced so thought we’d give it a go but will not be ordering again !!

Our go to Chinese for the last 5 years

I've just waited almost two hours for food - I pressed the update button many times and the store never responded. Only when I called them did they say that the traffic is bad and the driver spent one and a half hours trying to reach me. I live a ten minute drive or 40 minutes walk from this store. On the phone they said the driver can "bring the food later" and said an alternative is me coming to collect it! Yes they've refunded me but the disruption this has caused to my evening hasn't been compensated. It's an absolute joke to give no updates, and wait until I call them to tell me they can't complete the order and then ask ME to cancel for them, or come and pick it up!

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Absolutely disgusting. Food was old & heated, bland & horrible. Never again

I ordered a takeaway from this Chinese and me my mother in law and partner have got food poisoning

The special fried rice was nice but the salt & chilli pepper wings were way too salty and after trying a wing I had to throw the two portions I bought it in the bin. Extremely disappointed.

After not feeling well and didn't fancy cooking had a take away, which also got me out of the house. Food was great, lasted two days and was delish. Sunny House is also my youngest son's go to when he's home from Uni.

First time I’ve had a takeout form sunny house for about 3 years and with grey uncooked shrimp and tough pork it’ll be more than another 3 years before I go there again. I don’t know if it’s new people, new chef or just a bit of bad luck but I’d like to think it’s a one off because I used to love there food ☹️

Placed an order at 630 was told an hour. At 8pm called up to see where it was and was told driver had just left so will be 5 mins.(I live 5 mins away) 830 I call up again saying your drivers be lost. She said sorry on way now. This meant half hour ago when she said driver was leaving was a lie I said don't worry cancel the order and went and bought elsewhere. Will not use again

Took money then failed to deliver. Later to discover they left phone off the hook

Food is very good however this is the second time that I've ordered through uber eats and sunny house have struggled to deliver the order in a reasonable time. Unfortunately it is almost impossible to ring them (watched them ignore the phone when I went there myself to try and sort the issue out)

Poor service told 2hr wait fine but then delivered 3 1/2 hrs later. They couldn’t even be bothered to respond called over 20 times and phone put down on us twice and lied to on numerous occasions. I’m done won’t use them again avoid like the plague

Ordered to be delivered and took over 2 hours to receive. Food was cold and bland. There are plenty of better Chinese restaurants to choose from. I do not recommend Sunny House, food is rubbish and so are the staff

Avoid if you actually want to eat at a decent time. Was told 1 hour wait for delivery it turned up after 1hr 45.

Take your order give you a delivery time which is normal but but an hour and half after ordering no I don't think so. Don't go here if they are delivering.

Orderd WAITED 2HOURS WHEN IT FINALLY CAME IT WAS UNEDABLE AND COLD CAN GESS WHAT CLOSED SOWILL NOT ORDER AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMEND

I have been using sunny house since I came back to Pitsea, I love the the food, it arrives hot and within time, always to standard, the people there are friendly and accommodating, Would recommend to anyone looking for good food at a good price

Only giving one star because it's the minimum I can provide in order to leave a review. Over 2 hours for tofu in black bean sauce isn't acceptable in my view, and not only was the food bland, but it was way under par in comparison to other outlets who are far superior - and tend to deliver in under 30 minutes. Won't order again

Disgraceful, spring roll was so greasy I've used it to lubricate all my door hinges and the duck was more bone than meat.

Had a curry the sauce tasted a bit watered down and bland The mushroom fried rice was darker rice than were used to with China city or Diamond house Same with the special fried rice Won't use them again

We ordered on 14th Feb and have never been so disappointed. Sunny House basically lied with their ‘estimated’ delivery time so customers would go ahead and purchase. We ordered at 19:40 and received our food at 22:00. We were told it would be with us by 21:00. Sunny House knew how long it would take to get orders out however instead of being honest, they let customer after customer continue to order (having seen the JustEat reviews it seems this happened to a number of people). JustEat have contacted the restaurant who are not willing to refund/compensate any of those customers who were lied to. Not even offering a free side to those who had to wait almost 3hrs for delivery. A really poor show from a take away who’s food has always been good, up until the last few orders. Between being late, missing items and the quality dipping. We were regular customers at Sunny House but it seems loyalty counts for nothing. So as loyalty means nothing, we will now be using Dragon Chef and recommend anyone considering using Sunny House does the same. I wasn’t going to leave a negative review on here however it seems my review on JustEat was removed. 👍🏼

I've been eating here for years now. The food is always of a good standard and well prices. The crispy duck is superb! You can tweek your order to remove or add anything you'd like.

Lovely local take away. Bit of a wait but the food is freshly prepared.

I spent 30 pound on my food thinking it would be nice but definitely not my dUck was all stuck together all fatey worse is yet to come in had burnt noodles I don't know how the he'll someone can burn noodles my chicken balls where full of greas and taste like Ruber I wouldn't even spend 50p at the shop again descraseful that they could even try and sell something like this to someone I wouldn't even give it to my dog.

Just placed a order i used to like the food but its gone down hill since then they cant get the order right and my food was cold and my chips werent even fresh will never order again its a joke

Delicious and hot food, fast delivery...we order every week from them.

Very poor. The bag was full of the sauce that had leaked from the containers and the delivery man made a quick getaway before we could say anything. The chicken was rock solid. All the food was cold. I don't have one positive thing to say unfortunately.

Everytime I've ordered from here the foods either been cold or somethings not right with me order. Like I ordered food today and they got something wrong but by the time they had replaced the one item the rest of my food was cold and now I can't eat it! Other then that food has been on time and when it is warm the food tastes good. The guy at the desk is polite and helpful

Waited for our delivery for well over an hour and a half and it's a Wednesday night. Told several times on the phone it will be with us shortly but nothing ever arrives. Now 10.30pm and no food and having to find food from somewhere else. Don't order from here if you want to eat the same night!

I have ordered a meal from here at least once a week for over year. Whilst I have been made to wait TWO hours for my meal on more than one occasion and TWICE not had the rice delivered, I still order from here as there are NO other chinese's that offer online ordering. Until last week, when Sunny House decided to cancel my order without reason. Clearly you have far too many customers - I will assist by never ordering from you again.
