Pizza Go Go in Basildon

The chicken strips me and my friends had were so nice, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful even though they were closing down very soon. they let us charge our phones while we ate our food and also offered us drinks, would definitely recommend

The staff there are absolutely lovely. They always greet you with a smile and provide excellent service. And let me tell you, their chicken strips are a solid 10/10. They're crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Plus, they go above and beyond by letting you charge your phones even when they're about to close which was really sweet of them as it was me and two other girls and our phones were almost dead. That's some exceptional customer care right there. Pizza Go Go is definitely a must-visit spot for delicious food and friendly service.

All nice but as I stand here waiting for my Pizza I decided to do this review as when we placed our order he replied 'IS THAT ALL?', you should never say that as it sounds like they are ungrateful for your order, they should say 'ANYTHING ELSE', that's a polite way of putting it. I doubt he meant anything by it but I don't like rhat being said.

My order came wrong when delivered. When I called to tell them its wrong. Manager was saying I have to pay extra for another pizza. So silly. We went to the store and got correct pizza and free ice cream. I won't use them again as customer service was awful. I had to take my child with me to the store to get it sorted. Any other business I would of got a better service

Avoid this restaurant….I just ordered a small pizza with pepperoni for takeaway and I have received a very salty pizza…very bad service. They made fun of my food…

Have received my delivery and I'm very disappointed, pizza was burnt and the chicken lacked flavour. When I contacted the shop they said there is nothing they can do about it as some of the pizza had been eaten (sliced taken by 4 people, all only ate half a slice each) I did point out that it is difficult to determine whether something tastes bad unless you actually try eating it first, but they basically said tough luck. Avoid avoid avoid

Pizza delivered was burnt - tasted burnt and when phoned to complain about it said you'd eaten some of it and of cause how would you know it tasted burnt without trying it 😡 so NO apology or a refund ..Customer always right, apparently Not this old hungry one and won't be going back...yer right Merry Christmas on box

Good pizzas but they always forget to put the garlic and herb dip in (even when you pay extra for it).. pizza is not the same without the dip

Service took slightly longer than usual - but you know why? The staff made sure everything was perfect. Quality over speed 👍 Thank you!

Excellent food and excellent service

This was a good pizza joint cheap and tasty but last order was incorrect gave wrong stuffed crust. This time round both me and my partner have food poisoning from it. I Won't be ordering again shame as it normally is good rather spend bit more and go dominoes etc or cook a frozen one.

Gorgeous pizza & option to change toppings, bases, crusts & sauces

Brilliant service. We put in a (very) large order last minute and the friendly service, help and speed was astonishing. We will never use another pizza place again!

After being a very loyal customer here and only ever having Pizza from here. Never having an issue and always enjoying the food. I had an issue with a delivery driver resulting in cold food. Called the shop to try rectify this as never had an issue before. Was told when I order next I will get a discount for the inconvenience in way of an apology of the delivery driver (who would rather have a cigarette than deliver food on time and give cold food), and all was being noted down for future record. Couple weeks go by, called to order and mentioned the issue previously, to be told this was not on record? And needed to be investigated by the boss? And to wait and when I call to order this will be sorted. Called today to order, again mentioned the previous issue, to be spoken to rudely and accused of having called multiple times already about it? When I only called 1 time when it happened and 1 time to then place the order and today. The man on the phone was rude and said there is still no record of this, and still needed to be investigated and nothing was going to be happen and to call again tomorrow when the boss is in again? The man was quite rude and did not want to listen to anything that was being said. Such a shame as was my favourite and go to Pizza place. Doubt I will ever use again after this appalling Service I have received for the first time in years.

Pizzas are OK but they are extremley greasy

Hello dear readers of this review. I have had an extremely traumatic mind boggling and gear grinding experience. I asked the staff if my son could use there toilet, which they replied, you must but something on the menu to use the toilet. As I entered the toilet, I realised the toilet cost £1 to use the toilet. I reluctantly paid my fee and left my son to do his business.I was then waiting for 30 minutes, and there was no trace of my son still being in the lavatory, I proceeded to investigate the situation of fear of my beloved son being kidnapped. I barged open the door and it appeared my had disintegrated into this air due to the disgusting odor of the diarrhoea smeared On the walls in the shape of a rectangle. I shalnt be recommending this place to anyone or anybody. Yours sincerely Peter file

Food was over 3 hours late on delivery and they wont give me a refund because they marked it as out for delivery on Uber when it wasn’t even near being in the oven

Not the first time they have forgot parts of an order. Drinks missing and turn up 45 minutes later with no apology. Sauces missing and cold pizza. Really gone down hill. Lovely pizza but poor everything else

It's a matter of taste, not everyone's likes GoGo's taste. I enjoy the fresh dough used, for the fluffier pizza base. I reckon they also do the best pizza garlic bread on earth, my favourite side.

The manger/owner is very friendly and very helpful. Pizza are great and they have a excellent deal of any large pizza fie £9.99 collection only. Well worth it.

I like the quality of the pizza here. I like the meal deals however had to have cans confiscated as in a secure hospital. However they are value for money. Sometimes they send the wrong type of coke (my carer asked for diet coke and I got normal coke instead)

Not the freshest ingredients. You know that funny taste bacon has when it goes off and a bit rancid? Ruins the whole pizza. To be fair, I'd question the rest of the ingredients and freshness. Ordered 2 extra large pizzas. Gave up on half of each pizza. Now in the bin. Won't buy from them in a hurry.

Great value, always on ready when you collect. And unlike other pizza Gogo's it actually takes cards for a large pizza.

Theyve never let me down with pizza which always is piping hot and fresh. I mostly collect but the one delivery i did have was great. The way the food is handled is great they just seem to run a nice shop all round out of pitsea

Very Bad service. Only order from here if you want your food to show up the following week. Very slow workers, poor management of staff, they have 1 driver for the whole of essex, no communication. Their excuse is "sorry, we're really busy..." Do not order from here. Pizza is pretty average too.

Their customer service was appalling and the staff were very rude. When i tried to voice my concerns, instead of taking accountability, they instead said they had enough customers and told me not to come back.

If you ask for something you expect it to happen. Very stingy on topping. I really think their any size and pizza deal is a con. I'm sure it's the same quantity of topping regardless of size of pizza. Pizza base is fresh but too bready and dull. Going to try dominoes next time. Update: Having not used them for 2 years I had hoped in that time there would have been a change in management. I ordered 2 pizza and sides. On arrival only one pizza was delivered. I sent everything back so they could correct the error. What's the point in only having one pizza and waiting another 45mins for the one they forgot? Anyway, the order was re-cooked and sent to me. Total delay 1 hour 30 mins. They still got the order wrong. Asked for a create your own. They forgot the onion and gave green pepper instead of green chilli. Clearly need an education on paying attention to detail and in English. Won't ever use these clowns again. Will go and get ready made pizza in future from Asda. Save money and better IMHO.

Best Pizza ever in a best price.

Ordered from there before. No issue. Ordered a tub of Ben and Jerry’s and it arrived after over an hour but that’s not the issue. The issue is that it had obviously been defrosted, gone off and then refrozen. If you’d like to contact me I’d be more than happy to send you the photos. I’m currently becoming a FHI (food hygiene inspector) after years cheffing and this is the worse I’ve seen. It stinks so very obviously been defrosted for a while. Will be taking further if not sorted.

Have had pizza go go before at a friends house..and tonight I thought I would treat the kids.pizza turned up in good time and was hot....but there was so much cheese added onto it I couldn't see where it had been cut. Kids also said the pizza smelt of sick (due to the cheese) and was swimming in oil Wasted the food... Should of stuck to my normal pizza place.

When I called they said no note has been put on the system and that I must be making it up. Terrible service and a dishonest staff. Save your money and order elsewhere.

Very rude staff, we just came from the Go go pizza Pitsea, we get pizza all the time but the person today at 9pm was very rude, I was just asking for the price, he answered ..just give me £10 in a rude way, wen I confusedly asked for particular amount then he told it was £9.49 rudely... very upsetting behaviour

Excellent take away pizza best in basildon

Had the same experience as some of the other negative reviews here. Very rude owner, swears blind that he sent the right order when he clearly hasn't and both of the sides were cold. We have ordered from Pizza GoGo for well over 2 years, started ordering from here after moving and won't be ordering again (very particular but we have only ever ordered the same pizzas so we know how they should look and the pizzas that arrived are completely wrong!). We would have ordered again and even gave the obnoxious idiot the chance to replace the order as we were happy to wait but he declined. Clearly doesn't value his customers so look elsewhere - like Queens Pizza & Kebab round the corner!

We ordered at the shop and waited in the car for 15mins. Got the pizza home.which is a 1 and half min drive. Opened the box to find we had deep pan intsead of thin crust after asking 2 times for that one. Spicy wings instead of bbq and the chicken strips that were right were as thin as chips and burnt! Totally shocked as always order from here but wont again! To top it off when we rung the shop to complain he swore that the wings were bbq and wouldnt admit he was wrong. After saying they are defo spicy as me and my partner dont like spice and we took one bite and couldnt eat anymore he replied "what do you want me to do about it, I know that's not true". Very rude and totally messed up and couldnt admit that and simply apologise.

Such a disgrace to the rest of the company. Pizza Go Go is generally a good company and have high quality food but this store is horrendous. Awful presentation, pizza was barely cut, dripping in grease. Just awful completely. I was shocked at how poor it was

Shocking delivery says its down the road an coming but still 30 mins away when we live only down the road. In total from order 1hr 45 mins. Lying to customers is disgusting. Very average pizza i could make better myself, garlic bread rock hard an spicy chicken wings ok not the best ive tasted. The best thing to taste was the drink that came with the meal and thats because they didnt make it, it came in the bottle lol. Overall quite shocking definitely wont be using them again.

Love the hot dog pizza! However, both times I've ordered for delivery, an item was missing. If it wasn't for the fantastic quality, I wouldn't bother using again. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

Great Pizza place. A visitor to Pitsea. We saw the offer of £6.99 plus garlic bread. So we decided to take a chance after bad experiences from other takeaways local to us. Tasty and filling even the children loved it. Will be going again before we leave.

99% of the time very good pizza. The other 1% still just as good as others. Pick up at moment only £6.99 delivery normal price. Would recommend.

Food was ok but if they are busy service goes down hill. Kept waiting over half hour for a pizza that had been cooked and left on side when I asked staff they handed over a cold pizza and didn't care when I asked why it had been left on top of the oven for so long.

Never get the order right and when you call to ask for the correct order they accuse you of lying and demanding the Pizzaback. Then you have to wait for them to collect it and bring the right order. This happens quite a lot. Up the road is cheaper and they never get the order wrong Useless delivery service

Cheap... but not the greatest of pizzas

After years of ordering from the same place this store is a joke my daughter went in the Basildon store and placed an order got it home and had the wrong pizza called them up said they will replace it an hour went by called again they then said i had to go back and get it as a charge for delivery would apply are they for real not only did they mess the order up they wanted to charge for delivery, wont be going back there again.

Just tried to place an order from basildon outlet and I was informed that they couldn't deliver to this address, the reason they wouldn't know! The manager then stated he can deliver on this occasion but insisted that later on it shouldn't be a headache for him. In this day and age especially when there are no shortages of other restaurants, it's shameful that they treat customers this way. Clearly Pizzagogo we don't need your sympathy or your charity and we will take our custom elsewhere especially when we haven't done anything wrong and you couldn't tell us why you turned us down. To the general public, I don't have a problem with their food but their attitude is bad, and an attitude can make or break your business. Thank you.

After years of ordering from the same place, out of the blue they decide not to serve us anymore due to some 'blacklist'. When we inquired further the Manager himself didn't know why the remark was put there. This shows they have no respect for repeat customers and also disorganized seeing as the Manager had no clue. Total disrespect and lack of empathy to paying customers. I really am keen to know what their response is seeing as others have come forward stating they have been treated the same way.

Just to echo what someone else mentioned about turning people down in Basildon, the other day my elderly folks tried placing an order only to be declined and we figured they made a mistake. Now it seems they tend to do this to others also. My question to PizzaGoGo, if you are unwilling to provide service/decline service to customers in Basildon then you must shut shop and go do something else. Shameful and Appalling service.
