Pizza Hut in Basildon

I had a lovely afternoon in Pizza Hut with my family, the food was excellent as usual with pizza hut although it can be a bit expensive but they had some good deals to work with so we got a lot of food for our money!!! The staff at this branch are first class, really friendly and helpful!!! We will definitely go back again!

Visited with my family to celebrate daughter's 12th birthday on 5th April. Serviuce from Carla was absolutely first class. She was superb. I would recommend this particular Pizza Hut. Ask for Carla as you'll be guaranteed first class service. She is a credit and asset to Pizza Hut.

We went on Good Friday, 2 adults and a child. The food was brilliant. Every pizza was cooked well, with plenty of choice and plenty of toppings. We never had to wait for the pizza to come out, and they always made sure the pizza didn't run out. Service was fine and they made sure we had enough drinks, dips etc... no complaints at all

Everything was easy and accessible, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the kids meal was cooked evenly, will definitely bring my family again.

I had my boys 8th birthday here and the staff were so helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and we all had a great time. Special shout to our waitress Stephanie who provided fantastic service.

Regular pizza was a child size. Overpriced and rude staff.

Really good dinner with the family well looked after

We called in just after 5pm, the restaurant was very quiet. Me, my daughter and my grandson, who was celebrating his 17th birthday. We all had the meal offer, pizza, salad bar, side, drink and desert. The pizzas were nice and hot. We were served by Hayley, who was really great, makes all the difference. A thoroughly enjoyable visit!

Had a lovely meal and a great catch up with a friend. Our servers were really friendly and helpful. Only thing I didn't like was having to order everything from the QR code. We didn't order desserts or extra drinks because it meant putting it all through again and was such a faff.

Not a good experience at all. We arrived at a busy time but spent several minutes, along with other diners waiting for the pizzas to arrive. The salad bar was a bit of a mess, the staff tried their best but it was awful. When people left, tables were left uncleaned. Try as i might, I can't really find anything positive to say, it wasn't even cheap. We won't be going back. 🤨 👎 After a year I thought I'd give Pizza Hut another try. We arrived at 12 pm and as its school holidays it was packed with young families. The food had improved but there was still a feeling of chaos. Not the place for a quiet lunch but it has improved.

Disgraceful treatment. Ordered a pizza on the app whilst in their restaurant in Basildon. You cannot pay and order at the table just on the app the money was taken. They had a blip and the order did not go through the only way I could get a pizza was to purchase another one. It took me over six weeks to get my money back from head office. If I hadn’t of been with three children waiting for pizza, I would never have paid twice.

Absolutely disgraceful that I paid on their app inside the restaurant. The payment was taken & the order did not go through! I showed them proof that it has been taken from my bank and they insisted if I wanted a pizza I had to pay again and then take it up with their head office. Sitting there with three children waiting for pizza and being told that because they have experienced a problem with their ordering I had to pay again. Like an idiot I did as I did not want to cause a scene & make the children wait any longer. Then took me a further four weeks and over 10 phone calls to their customer service to get my refund on a pizza that I didn’t have.

The staff were brilliant and I prefer the pizza bases to anywhere else, plus the thought of the salad bar is always a draw. We never have to wait to either place the order or receive it. The ordering process has changed to online and the waiting staff were more than happy to assist and clearly state the changes in regards the this being a “no cash” restaurant

Lovely kind caring Compassionate Staff Immensely Brilliant

Disgusted with this place had to order online my mrs paid online and it glitched her order didn’t go through but the money left her account her and her child’s food didn’t come out but mine did and she showed them her statement and the manager assured her the money will ping straight back so made her pay again. It’s been 19 days since and the payment still hasn’t come back and Pizza Hut are making it extremely difficult and told her she should have sorted it sooner. This is disgusting and I am Not happy. £60’FOR A PIZZA!!!!!!!!! The manager was female she was clearly a liar because when I asked her if she had seen it happen before she said no, so how does she know for a fact the money would ping back she was a liar and didn’t want to fill a form herself clearly.

Popped in in the way back from seeing friends and it was great. Nice busy, good vice to the atmosphere and the food was great. The pizzas were wonderful and the salad bar full of fresh food. The staff were standout though, from the very first interaction at the door they were friendly and interesting. My son had some crayons and an activity poster and fell in love with the ice cream factory. Took the left over pizza home in a take away box. Good times, felt like the 90’s again.

Will die like wimpy and little chef , doesn't take cash , salad bar brimming with items and isn't rotated well enough. Shame really party time and entertainment was their thing and others do it far better now without mentioning a name . They need to adapt or like the titanic they'll sink.

A very pleasant experience. Fairly quiet just before three on a Thursday, but there was still time to get on the buffet and pizzas being put out for that (timed it well, as they just got replenished as we finished ordering).

Came here with my girls to celebrate my divorce. Dawn looked after us from start to finish. What a lovely, lovely lady. Don’t expect that much care at a Pizza Hut but we loved it. Thank you Dawn

The restaurant was not particularly busy, but we had to wait over 30 minutes for dessert and had to follow up with the staff to remind them that we still had ordered dessert.

Absolutely amazing experience at Pizza Hut Basildon this evening. The manager is AMAZING, she truly goes above and beyond for every customer. All the team are excellent, but she stood out as the star of the show. Thank you

The food was lovely, the service was great and the place was really clean.

Server was helpful and done a good job.. she was on her own running the place. No deep pan available .... salad bar disgusting.. rotten carrots.. wilted spinach .. mayonnaise so old the spoon stood up in it.. couldn't eat it and when I complained to the very scruffy manager was told.. short staffed to deal with salad bar and you don't have to eat it !!!! Had a horrible feeling about the place as soon as I walked in.. looked scruffy and dirty.. no atmosphere and not a hint of christmas even though it was December. Will never visit again and avoid at all cost to others.

Like its app ordering. Pizza was a little slow coming out for the buffet. But really good value for money and pizza was hot, fresh and tasted really good.

Amazing Staff helped me when I accidentally ordered the wrong thing. Only this branch reminds me of the great Pizza Hut days of the past!! Will be coming back!!

It's the biggest restaurant that we are still going to back soon again one love from me James Laudat who can't wait to see you soon again with others housemates and eating out with family and friends so have a great meal AT pizza hut down festival.

The restaurant was busy ( we went on a Saturday) but still had a place for me and wife, did not have to wait in a queue. Staff was very helpful and food was in time. Most important thing is the Free Salad bar. It was so good and fresh. We liked it a lot. Pizza was delicious as we expected. We bought a large Pizza, it was more than enough for two. Recommend for a night out dinner if planning for a cinema too in festival leisure park.

Love pizza hut the best pizzas. I think it's very expensive. Only go because I have the merkat app. 2 for the price of 1.

The restaurant wasn’t busy but still had a cosy feel. Staff were helpful and food was spot on. Salad bar was inviting and fresh, a previous visit to a Harvester was not as good as salad bars go.

The staff during my visit were outstanding. Friendly, helpful and attentive. They didn't stop... if they weren't helping a customer they were making sure the buffet and salad bar were fully stocked or cleaning the restaurant.

Staff were great, couldn’t do enough. I eat out a lot and and they were fantastic. Food quality was the best I’ve had in Pizza Hut to be honest. Sound over the top but credit where credit is due!!! Will definitely be returning.

New online DIY scan a code ordering sucks but the staff made up for that by helping to take our order and make sure our visit was efficient. Drop the QR codes and employ more like the decent staff you already have

Visited again on Sunday 3 September. Service was a bit chaotic, we had at least 2 different servers, even though the restaurant was less than half full. The unlimited Soda machine had almost all of the flavours unavailable. We ordered a shared meal deal with the salad bar. The waiter came back to tell us that one of our starters was unavailable, so we had to have garlic bread. Then after waiting about 20 minutes, they brought the starters and the pizza at the same time. We had about 20 minutes left until the start of our movie, so we asked for the deserts to take out. We had to ask for plastic spoons. Overall the service was very chaotic and slow. The food was Not value for money, and several items that we wanted were unavailable !

Really pricey for what you get now. I'm sure their pizzas are smaller now. Feel sorry for the staff as its all ordered on your phone so they don't really have a lot to do other than bring a plate of food to you.

Terrible customer service. It was my brothers birthday and for the first time in over a year, we managed to get our family together and chose to go to Pizza Hut - A family of 8 people, I would also like to mention. My mum walked in, the waiter hadn't even looked at the prebooked (this was admitted - late afternoon time also), the table wasn't set up, so my family had to wait about for the tables to be pushed together. The staff then pointed to where we were sitting, didn't even walk my family to the table. When myself and brothers walked in, there was no one waiting at the door to guide us, so I had to find my family myself. The staff were too busy chatting away. We waited about 25mins to be served menus, only for myself to walk to the door to get hold of them. A further 20mins we waited to be served, we eventually gave up and ordered online. After the meal, my sister then had too hunt for someone to get their desert. So, other than the bad customer service, the food was lovely.

We visited the resturant for our date night. As my husband loves pizza on arrival we were advised that theyhad no bottomless drinks, or bottled soft drinks other than fruit shoot or tap water. Being an adult i did not want to have a kids fruit shoot or water with our meal. Surely it cant be that difficult to go to wholesaler and buy bottled drinks to sell. But we was plesantly suprised the ice cream factory was working.

Had a really enjoyable lunch with my great niece and nephew, a lot of it to do with the fact our waitress CARLA, was the nicest waitress ever !!!!

Great food but slightly slow customer service

Food took forever to come and when it came the onion rings were stone cold like they'd been left in a freezer. It then took them 45 minutes to realise we had finished eating our mains (bear in mind there were only 5 parties here). All the staff were having a chat at the bar and not serving us. Table didn't have any napkins. We weren't given glasses for an hour. The soft drinks machine was broken and all they had was water and juice. I want my £51 back...

Expensive pizzas but a very helpful server.

I have not been to Pizza Hut for ages, seemed really expensive, would put me off going again. Food was nice still.

The staff were nice and they checked in on us when we were waiting and after we received our meal. I really could not fault their customer service. The pizzas were both nice. I had a GF option and generally I do not like them, but it was one of the best GF pizzas I have tried

We haven't eaten here for years, when we used to treat our children. Now it's the grandchildren's turn, and we all really enjoyed our food and the great service we got from Carly. She was so welcoming and helpful and great with the children.

New system of ordering by code. Very easy even for a numnuts like me. Food was very tasty and well presented on a chopping board rather than a plate. Salad bar was one of the cleanest and well stocked I've seen and that includes other help yourself salad bars which offer this. very clean..well done.

Lunch buffet good value. Restaurant clean and staff pleasant! Never enough pepperoni pizza to satisfy my lot though🙄😄

Great place to eat as a family. It has gotten a bit expensive but thanks to their meal deals and use of a taste card, it wasn't overly expensive. The pizzas were tasty and well cooked. The cheesy bites were stretchy and full of cheese. It was a great experience.

First the good point was Carlan, she was lovely professional chatty and wasted trying to sell what was on offer. Salad bar was grimy muddled good everywhere mixed together. This just looked dirty and contaminated. The lasagne was like none I have ever tasted was like a white foam with bisto there was very little if any meat. Was simply the worst I have ever had A margherita pizza was small little topping and there is no way was made fresh tasted frozen. A chicken deli with almost no chicken was really as poor as ever had. A thin crust pepperoni pizza that was slightly better but not even close to how Pizza Hut used to be. Nearly £70 and was as poor as have ever had. Not worth moaning as had the grandchildren and did not want to spoil things for them. I predict that Pizza Hut will be gone soon as there is a reason the restaurant was nearly empty. Over priced warmed up food. Very very poor

Whilst the staff were friendly, thought it was awful place, not the food that tasted ok, apart from salad. We had to order from app! Get own water. No real waitrose service. I had salad and they said no carrot sorry also stopped the pasta they used to have! No potato all very messy looked like troughs animals eaten out of, just a big mess. Also very empty because it was a bit later in the evening. Terrible really, should not matter what time your there should be able to get some salad if thats whats ordered. Just felt entire place needed a good clean., floors, tables, loos etc, really not very inviting at all. Even waitress didn't agree with app!! The food that came tasted nice just a shame about the rest! Bring back your flagship stores with proper waitress service and those lovely milkshakes please! Also sort your salad bar to be filled and wiped there was nothing there and dirty, wished now i had filmed it! Wont be re-visiting again!

Went for sons birthday. On a Monday around 17.30. Didn't book and didn't need too. Think there were only a couple of other tables in use when we went. Friendly welcome (babes) and service was quick. Food was hot and fresh as you'd expect.

Myself and my friend went for a bite to eat on the 22nd. We were served by an absolutely lovely woman called Carla. She was so polite and had this comforting wholesome energy about her. She was so sweet in how she spoke to us I just couldn’t fault her in any way. The food was delicious as usual but I had to leave a review in the hopes that Carla sees it ❤️

Popped in before we start our night shift been a few times as work away. Pizza had a splash of cheese and the base sauce was loaded so thick I couldn't eat more than two mouth fulls adter scrapping off what I could of the sauce. Me and My crew mate were very disappointed and won't be back.

Prices were a little high. The condition of the seats were poor (padding worn, covering cracked). Overall cleanliness was good. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Singularly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. No welcome, drink order taken (water) and empty glass left on the table with no advice on where the water was. No consideration of allergies. No asking if we wanted to order from the menu. Staff clearly stressed and unhelpful. Toilets a mess. Will not be back. Ever.

Basildon branch. Salad bar was full of off food, to the point where the carrots were mush. Children spag bowl just pasta with tomato sauce. Chips were stuck together and soggy. Mozzarella cheese was off. Seating area not cleaned we had to wipe it down. Cutlery still had food from last customers dried on it. Overall, filth and really disappointed in spending money there.

Arrived 30 minutes before the lunch time buffet finished with my daughter, so wasn't expecting a protracted lunch. However after having to faff around with web based ordering, people standing two deep waiting to get some pizza and then closing the ice-cream station before we had chance to get served, everything was squashed into 15 minutes. I might just as well have gone to a burger van and saved £20.

Overall a good experience. The people running the floor were super helpful and very good at keeping everything going!

Very attentive staff! Super friendly to the both of us. The drink came practically instantly when we ordered them. Salad bar was freshly topped up all the time and delicious as always.

It came together really well, the 2 children's meals came up together as did their drinks, the food was good although my hubby only eats the pepperoni pizza but there's never enough of it on the buffet. So he normally has to wait.

Had a great time celebrating our son's 4th birthday here. The staff where all amazing, saying happy birthday as soon as he walked in the door and all staff getting together to sing for our son's cake time. Our server Ann-marie was excellent, she went about and beyond to make sure everyone was happy!!

Able to be seated straight away with no waiting and being able to order with a server rather than mobile apps

Thank you. 24th of January 2023 around 2pm and the 13th of February 2023 at 12pm. Basildon Festival. The man (I think the manager) and the ladies... basically everyone ! I am the customer with the twin babies and a 6 year old boy called Brady. Me and my husband just wanted to tell you how fantastic the service was on both occasions. They always help with the doors, look after my buggy in the office, get us raisins for the babies, just over all very attentive and lovely people !!! Love it. Can not wait to go back.
