Up The Road in Basildon

I used to use up the road every weekend years ago. It's gone down hill unfortunately. Food either over cooked, burnt or soggy. Missing items which never get delivered even when promised. I have now given up with them.

This is the best place ever!!!! Food always so fresh and hot! Pizzas are addictive! My go to place!!!! Thanks up the road!!! Your biggest fan! Kirst!👌👌👌👌

food was great apart from the garlic mushrooms. Expected your normal whole mushrooms but they were all cut up & really greasy

Ordered food & after contacting restaurant several times as it didn’t arrive to then be told it had been delivered, his drivers have over 10 years experience and it’s been delivered & my girlfriend has taken it in!! Rude!!! Do not use!!

Ordered loads in the past great every time no complaints

ordered at 09.20pm. Was told 10.15pm the 10.45pm. Called the restaurant at 11.00pm was told 3-5 minutes. Order never arrived at all! Had to request a refund through just eat! Appalling service!

food would be great if driver read the box. that's says, hold this way. as it gets turned up on its side and slides down box. not good, twice now

The lamb donner was hatch and chewy and looked over heated. I have taken pictures and can email to whoever. I will not be eating this.

Pizza warm but Dow hard and half of pizza undercooked.. Dow very white on one site, underneath of staffing and edges.. Looks like quick cook from outside only... I was hungry so eating what I can and bin the rest..

Worst kebab I’ve ever had - portion was supposed to be XL but I’ve had more meat in small kebabs from other places! Food was also incredibly greasy and overcooked in places - felt like some of it was just reheated from the day before! Salad not fresh! Would not be using again or recommend to anyone!

Never ever order from these have been a very good customer untill tonight when I got called every name understand the sun being told to f**k off all because they sent the wrong pizza out so I phoned back for the right pizza to be sent out after numerous of time phoning and asking where the pizza was as they told me 20 mins it didn’t turn till hours 15 mins later and when I phoned for a refund he said I treaky they are vile when asking for money back

I haven't eaten my food it's horrible the pizza damaged and not what I've asked for! The delivery driver took of before I could address the problem I would like a full refund very upset 😞

If you value your time and money - avoid this place. I ordered from here late at night via Just-Eat. When I called about my order after an hour - they said they didn't have my door number (lie) - and that it would cost extra to have it (re)delivered (scam.)

Do not order from here. Food turned up 2 hours late, food was cold and not what we ordered. Man on phone swore and spoke to me in a disrespectful manner and swore at me. Avoid 100% Very rude on the phone and will be paying him a visit tomorrow ;)

they gave me a full sugar coke when i clearly asked for diet coca cola and i didnt even get my creme cheese poppers or chicken nuggets i just got my pizza a full sugar coke and wedges they forget most of the food dont recommend

Pizza was burnt. Order was nowhere to be seen after an hour and 20 minutes. Owner refused refund and repeatedly called me ‘baba’ and a ‘stupid wonker’ when I was simply asking for a refund. Avoid like the plague.

we had to ring to see where the order was 15 minutes after it had said been delivered. To be told only 2 more minutes, to it taking another 15 minutes. and the food being barely warm.

absolutely disgusting asked for meat well done but didn't even looked cold it was cold so threw it away the chicken burger didn't have any salad after writing this all oncrhe notes the potato chesee bacon was squahed in the. box absolutely shocking and disgusting

Rang them when the app said delivered, They told me it was still out for delivery. Rang again after 20 minutes and was told the same. After half an hour I Rang and they said it was delivered to the wrong house so sent me out another order. I got my food after an hour. I stood outside and the delivery driver STILL tried to deliver it to another house. 3 hungry children

Terrible service got my order wrong so I called and they said they'd replace it but ended up waiting for almost an hour for nobody to show up

Delivery 12.55-1.15. Then changed to 1.50 after it said delivered and I questioned it. 2 called and said 2mins away. 2.15 still no sign so going to bed and requesting refund. I no England won so prob busy if that’s the case change your delivery times to 2 hours

Most of the food was lovely, the chips were cold, smelt burnt and tasted like they were a few days old. My boyfriend couldn't eat them, straight in the bin.

Food was an hour late as apparently got delivered to the wrong address. Once we finally received our food it was hard, burnt and seemed like it was the original order which had been taken back to the shop, heated back up and then delivered!! Food wasn’t nice at all!!!!! Not impressed at all!!!!!

ordered a large but more like small. Swimming in grease and overall not nice at all. Garlic bread was under cooked and really thin. And the pizza also didn’t taste very nice. Ordered before and have been happy but not the best experience this time.

luke warm food, the chips in pitta was a joke for £4.99, not enough for that price, the salad seemed like it was yesterdays, limp and flavourless . I am going back to the Kingswood Kebab next time.

shame really good food normaly anf fast delivery but delivery took over an hour to be delivered 19:26pm we ordered and then 19:49 was sent out for delivery but 20:50 came along it finally got delivered but everything was cold really big shame food always nice but guess not when it cold.

Ordered a kabab platter came with 2 pieces of lamb Shish so much grease coming out the bag split and I let the delivery driver into my block and he decided to keep ringing others waking them up even tho I let him in won’t be ordering even again food quality poor

The food was disgusting. If it wasnt for the fact we waited an hour for delivery, i qould have sent it back. Doner kebab tasted funny and was not fresh, the chips were burnt. Luckily the pizza was nice. Cold, but semi enjoyable. 🤢

We use Up the Road quite a lot and normally have a good experience and lovely food. But unfortunately today our curly fries were soggy and luke warm if that and normally they are lovely and crispy. We paid £4.50 for dips which we didn’t receive at all. So wasn’t impressed with today’s service.

Quite a large order all correct, warm and very tasty.

Food was nice but order note was ignored for pizza and was missing an item. On calling them they couldn't apologise more and said it'd take an hour to deliver missing item so could they refund, I didn't have a problem with that, however the refund was never given. Only a few quid but not the point. Would order again but would collect instead.

First time ordering from here. First of all the chicken kebab was so so greasy the grease was literally running out of the container. The paper bag that the food came in, the handles broke as the driver handed it to me so the bag and food dropped on the floor. The driver said that always happens with those bags. Sorry but not good enough I will not order from there again

When I come home from an extremely long shift at work, i DO NOT expect this kind of service and food from anyone let alone this pizza company, I come into the pizza place and right away I get stared at by two Indian workers. Odd. Then I get a mouthful from the person on the till whilst ordering, I come home at last with my pizza and open the box to this!!!!!! ITS JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR £16.99 is it! I'm certain that the two Indian workers was eyeing up my underrage daughter instead of me too which just infuriates me further! THE worst food place I've come across I strongly recommend to stay away!

late delivery called shop told will be with me soon. 20 minutes later food called again told they will make me a new order and deliver. original order turned up 5 minutes later and cold, called restaurant asked if i could have the new order as want a hot meal like i paid for they said that fine its cooking now. Called 40 minutes later food still not here. I asked for a refund and not to bother with the food. Told im being rude and wasting their time keep calling, also that I need to sort the refund with just eat, I may or may not get a refund..... poor service wont return.
