Service from Ana was amazing, very attentive and patient. We had a very large party attend and it was good to see someone be able to handle it. Food was good too.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch here for a get together of friends. All ages catered for with a variety of delicious food and fabulous service, provided on the day by Ana and Megan.

Fabulous meal in a lovely setting. Staff were friendly,and didn't rush us ( we were old school friends meeting up after 40yrs so lots of reminiscing). Food was tasty; loved the option of mini puds with a hot drink. We'll be back again next year!

Really lovely food plenty of vegan options. Dog friendly with biscuits available. The waitress Ana was amazing, very friendly service.

As Always with Fishery Inn. Excellent Service, Lovely Food, Great Environment & Value For Money = Excellent. Busy today & I missed my booking. Found a table, food was up to high level service suffered due to being at capacity. BUT, when called upon staff were very attentive. My guest was impressed 👌

Highly recommend this place the service is outstanding as we had Ana for our waitress she was amazing, the food was amazing as we had a roast this is the best place to go for a roast dinner.

Wrong order- contacted them directs Just Eat are useless at responding and they stated they gave the the driver the correct order, well obviously not - it’s not rocket science and they messed up completely and that’s being generous

Lovely setting and very capable staff - especially Ana. Unfortunately the food has declined in quality - though not in portion size. The roasts were tough. The Yorkies needed more gravy (which was supplied) and the pudding sauces were overly sweet rather than rich.

The fishery inn was a lovely place to meet up with family on a Saturday afternoon for food and drinks. Place was well busy due to a wedding but it was kept clean and tidy the service was very good . All the waiters Was all clean and tidy and all very friendly and polite and done a great job as it was busy The food ( steak pie ) was delicious and very well served and my pudding (chocolate dome ) was delicious 😋. Definitely be coming back soon . Thank you

On this visit we were disappointed with the food but our server, Ana, was outstanding, attentive and willing to resolved any the issues with a smile. Very clear restrooms.

I came for Sunday lunch with my nana and we both had a lovely time, the food was amazing and staff that looked us, especially Ana who made the experience very enjoyable from start to finish, she made sure we had everything we needed and is a very delightful young lady and a credit to the fishery Inn. Had a wonderful lunch and Ana our server was excellent and a credit to this restaurant. She was attentive, efficient and on the ball. This is the service you like when going out for lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is really accommodating and helpful. I found the bacon wrapped stuffing very dry. They ran out of cauliflower cheese so could only give me one portion instead of two. The one portion was barely a mouthful. I will still order from them though. Always arrives hot. 👍🏼

Didn't eat here but staff very friendly, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Food did smell good - I was tempted, but we already had reservations elsewhere as my older nephew and brother-in-law have strict dietary requirements that unfortunately the Fishery can't accommodate for (coeliac disease so gluten-free food AND separate prep area & fryer). Edit: I was wrongly led to believe they don't accommodate those with coeliac disease. I apologise for this. Next time I meet my family up that way (I live in Medway, Kent) I will recommend we eat here.

Great place, spent a night out with colleagues for dinner. Had a great dish of pork belly with scallops! Yum! So good my wife and I ate there a few nights later.

Once we’d got over the whole ceremony of me asking for a table in a mostly empty restaurant, the rest of the service was good. You know the drill, have you booked? Then screwed up faces pawing over the diary, and finally and reluctantly agreeing to let me in. Why do this? It does nothing to give the impression of popularity or exclusivity, quite the opposite and not very welcoming. Could be a training issue with some very young and possibly inexperienced staff. Table waiting staff were very good. Generous and tasty portion of Lamb, served at my choice, which was pink. Miserly portion of veg though. Good but pricey wine. Totally infuriating WiFi - wants war and peace and still doesn’t connect.

OMG, I have gone to heaven. The food was like nectar on your tongue. If the chef isn't married, I would marry them ! I didn't want the food to end it was that delicious!! I had a pork belly with scallops. Now I'm a massive pork and crackling fan, but the scallops were out of this world. The potatoes were perfect, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection, 🥕 beautiful, tender stems just enough bite firmness. Apple sauce on the side with gravy to die for. I soooo enjoyed every mouthful I almost ordered again but too full. ! ! It didn't stop me from having poached pear, though, which was equally delicious, though I'm not a huge fan of coconut, which the pear was wearing. But a definite 11/10 for this place! Went for a lovely relaxing drink on Sunday. Weather was lovely so sat outside. A beautiful upmarket place, on the canal. Food is lovely, highly recommend.

Lovely food and great service by Ana

Have been to other pubs within the same chain and have had a great time, although this one doesn't quite feel as though it's at the same level. Staff were nice enough and the food was OK, though not quite as nice as the Gate in Rickmansworth or the Rose & Crown in Kings Langley. The service was extremely slow and often the staff forgot items or drinks, leaving us having to ask 2/3 times for water or for plates to be cleared from the table. It was a young team, so we were happy to be patient, but there was a lot of milling around. Unfortunately, it's safe to say we won't be coming back any time soon.

Ben and the team were fantastic, we had an amazing bottomless lunch. Will definitely be back!

Will is the best server I have ever had, he goes above and beyond for my needs.

Really nice place. Food was great. Service was ordinary. We were a table of around 20 and we had to go and order food at the bar, rather than the order being taken. The waitress said they were too busy, however we were the only group in the restaurant at the time.

Nice canalside pub that offered dining and extensive covered area Garden is lovely although you cannot get food on the green area Kid and family friendly Close to train station so perfect for pre drinks if off on a night out

Stopped for a drink! A good selection of drinks, staff were pleasant and had great knowledge of their drinks. Sat in the garden, which was very busy and quite cozy, however didn’t really bother me too much.

Great meal with ANA serving us. Sunday lunch at its best. Roast beef, huge Yorkshire puds, and good gravy. Bit of an issue with the gravy and a spill. But Ana handled it well (caused by someone else’s first day). Lovely meal.

A lovely place,great location obviously very popular but with that came difficulties with inexperienced staff. Starters very nice but mains brought before any of the table had been cleared and just placed on any clear area. Had to ask for clearance. Mains were OK, fish n chips i think had been left warming too long,meal dry ,crunchy overcooked. Duck salad ,not apertising. The other two guests were happy enough with the steak and linguini. The sticking plaster on the service was Ana.She tried her best to keep an eye on things and recognised the shortcomings giving us coffee's on the house.....quite disappointed as noticed following day an extra expensive bottle of wine had been added!. An average experience for us,overpriced but Ana tried to do a good job in difficult circumstances.

Myself and my brother dropped by last Thursday lunchtime on the way to the train station to see a show in London. We ordered some lunch and split the bill and paid it at the same time as ordering with our credit cards. The food was very lovely, but when it came to leaving, a lady who worked there said we still had to settle our bill!. We told her we had paid when ordering but she didn't seem to accept what we told her. All this was in front of the other diners and her manner wasn't very friendly. My brother has learning difficulties and found the whole episode a bit awkward and upsetting and this put a bit of a dampener on the rest of our day. So thanks for that.. we won't be returning.

Quality service and excellent food. On the pricier side of things, but overall the server made sure we had everything we need throughout the evening and handled several last minute adjustments to our orders. Flexible, considerate, and great atmosphere.

Excellent food and presentation. I can reccomend the lamb rump for main and ceme brulee for dessert. We ate early evening on a Wednesday and was very quiet and peaceful.

We stopped for lunch today at the Fishery Inn. My wife ate the Sausage and Mash and I had the Gammon, egg and Chips. Both meals were perfectly cooked and piping hot when they arrived at the table. Our waitress's today were Anna and Megan. They were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful lunch. They are a credit to this restaurant. I would whole heartedly recommend this restaurant.

Broadly we had Good experience and food was fresh. It was busy but they managed it well on the Father’s Day . The person in charge of our table , Ana , was great.

We walked in without a booking and asked if there was a free table to eat and was seated very quickly. Brilliant service and food not sure on all names but food was served by Ana who was very good and even took a picture for us thank you. Nice place will be even better when repairs or work on the building are competed. Thanks for a great experience.

Ana who waited on our table was very polite, attentive and efficient. The food in general was good but my steak, ordered as medium, was more rare/medium. This meant that the fat was not cooked and the steak was not the best I’ve had. We were also troubled by a persistent fruit fly.

Had a few relaxing drinks at the bar,then a lovely meal in the restaurant looked after by Megan.All the staff were excellent as usual.

Why did I get an old wrinkly slice of orange in my aperol spritz, while all the other got shinny fresh slices? Food too oniony, but some bits were very nice. Nice place next to a river and a canal

The service at this place is very good. Very nice and helpful waitress Ana and Meg.

I keep coming back to this restaurant because the quality and choice of the food is great, the service is good and it’s a short drive from home. You can get anything from a snack to a 3 course a la carte meal. Only improvement would be a loyalty reward scheme.

Great Sunday roast and great service from Ana

Our waitress Abi was absolutely amazing, made me and my family feel welcome and cared for. She truly made my birthday lunch special. Food was also amazing and the venue was amazing as always!

We visit fairly regularly for food and drinks and it’s always good, but we held an event in the Conservatory at The Fishery Inn recently and had the best time. Ben and all the team were brilliant and looked after us so well. Buffet food was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend for an event and it will be our go-to for any future events we may have!

Food was OK but pricey for what it was. The reason for the 1 star is the zero response to my email requesting to overturn a parking charge. I was clearly there to eat for 1 HR. I clearly explained the mitigating circumstances. Extortionate charge for 1 HR. I won't return.

We were with a large party on Sunday for four big birthdays in a stunning conservatory which was beautifully decorated. The staff couldn’t do enough for us (Ben & Megan ) were extremely friendly and always there if we needed anything. The food (I had a beef roast) was tender and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed watching the boats come by on the canal! All my family are planning on returning in the future.
