We had fantastic fish and chips on Friday then amazing roasts on Sunday. Great pub with community feel but very welcoming to others as well.

Walked here from Fowey. Had lunch which was really good , we both had sandwiches which were in lovely fresh bread. Staff very friendly and such a lovely location. We stayed in Golant about 12 years ago so it was good to see the pub thriving.

Stayed in Golant for 5 nights with family and visited this gem of a pub most days which has a great mix of locals and tourists. You are assured of a lovely friendly welcome from the multi-talented landlord Nick (mine host, chef and occasional singer), and the rest of his team, including his mum and dad. Lovely views, excellent reasonably priced food and great real ale. On our first visit they were fully booked but they went above and beyond and helped us organise a takeaway to be delivered to the pub to take home. We really enjoyed the music jam night on the Sunday, with the local musicians fully involving our grandchildren (and us adults🤣). Booking strongly advised, you won’t be disappointed 👍

Fantastic county local with amazing food, friendly service and the most stunning views over the River Fowey. All food homecooked. Cheesy topped fish pie out of this world and steak and ale pie with creamy mash and vegetables- delicious. Reasonable prices. Good cask ales. We were staying in the village on holiday and visited several times. A highlight was Sunday night when every week the locals have a jam session with guitars and vocals- not to be missed. Be sure to book a table as very popular.

Excellent food fabulous landlord and his mum. Visited again second time in two months and really nice to be remembered. Fish pie was just what it said “full of fish” not like most places.

The Ploughman’s Buffet at Lunch and the Beef Madras in the evening were of the very highest order and gain full mark for taste, quality and value. Plus a view to adore whatever the tide is doing.

Lovely to come back here for Sunday lunch again - very friendly & attentive service and the first meal taken outside this year.

What a lovely friendly pub. The staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We ate there most nights of our stay. The pizzas are amazing and the Sunday lunch is out of this world. There was a singsong on the Sunday night, and we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you very much to all the staff for your attention, it made our holiday memorable.

We had one of the best Sunday lunches that we have had in a while, followed by four great evening meals while we stayed in Gollant, tasty and good value with friendly staff in a pretty village,which is lucky to have such a lovely pub with such good meals, 5 stars. Only negative were the very yappy small dogs in the evening service. Please, if your dogs are yappy or misbahaved leave them at home and don't spoil everyone's meals with your growly, yappy needy dogs.

Great pub and super little place for a nice meal with a view of the river . Not much parking so get there early. Staff friendly and helpful.

Came here with my partner on the 18/1/24. What a lovely evening. With brilliant service, and amazing food! Can not fault at all.

We spent three nights in Golant, an idyllic Cornish village, right on the estuary, we ate there every day and we were never disappointed. The fish on Friday was fresh, chips delicious and homemade tartar sauce with mushy peas for £12, outstanding, the beer and choices of gin good too. The second evening it was deep fried squid followed by pies that were full and rich and no soggy bottom! Sunday lunch was the highlight though: rump of lamb, perfectly pink for my wife and a trio of meats for me, each cooked as I would want them with crispy potatoes, generous veg and roats potatoes, the ginger pudding almost finished us off! You can tell the chef cares and cooks to impress. So the food and drink were great but it is actually the atmosphere, the locals (who know they have a good thing and support it) and the quick and friendly service overseen by Nick and his parents who are stars. It is really lovely here, almost like being on the set of a film, hospitable, welcoming and warm in every sense. Highly recommended. Thank you Nick and staff.

Found on TripAdvisor and can honestly say this is the best roast beef Sunday lunch I've had in years in a pub. It was absolutely beautifully cooked and the accompanying veg and potatoes were all spot on. The service and welcoming was second to none.and we will most certainly be returning when next on holiday in Cornwall.

I can highly recommend The Fisherman’s Arms in Golant. The food is great and very good value for money. The staff could not be friendlier and do their utmost to make sure that you have everything that you need. I would definitely advise to book a table in advance as whilst it is the only pub in this small village it gets extremely busy which is a testament to how good it is.

We went to the Fisherman's Arms on Sunday 8th and then again on Thursday 12th of October with our 3 dogs. The first time we visited the atmosphere was amazing. The food was incredible. The nut roast was made to perfection. My wife had the pork and said it was very well cooked. Our puddings were very good. I had the brownie which was lovely and gooey in the middle. It was the perfect size. My wife had the waffle which was very good. The second time we visited was for our last night in Cornwall. I had pizza with cheesy garlic ciabatta which was very good. And my fine had the ham egg and chips. We had pudding which consisted of waffle again and I had the vegan chocolate tart which was the right level of chocolatyness. In both visits the staff were very friendly and intentive. They enjoyed giving the dogs treats and made us feel welcome. I would definitely visit again when we come back to Cornwall in the future.

This character filled pub in the picturesque village of Golant never fails to deliver. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the food is delicious, well presented and good value. The use of local produce made choice difficult as I wanted it all particularly the mussels! We ate here several times on our recent visit to the area and were highly satisfied by the standard of food and welcome - I just wish I lived nearer

Drove out parked by. the lagoon from the river, warm day with sunshine so sat outside at a table over looking the lagoon, ordered the fish and chips and the lemon sole with stuffed mushroom and the prawns for starters. Very well presented, and the taste was wonderful on all of the dishes all washed down with a local ale. We will definitely be going again and again, lovely a quiet, a bit off the beaten track down a road that goes no where else.

The man behind the bar was very friendly, it had a local atmosphere but we were treated very kindly as holidaymakers. Food was amazing and there was parking right outside.

Situated in great location with stunning views across the Fowey Estuary. Popped in for lunch, lots of choice and reasonably priced. Decided on hot ciabatta rolls, so yummy! Will definitely be back!

Comimos aquí ayer. Encantador pub con un anfitrión encantador. Preciosa variedad de cervezas y comida muy buena. Bien vale la pena visitar, a pesar de la larga caminata colina empinada para llegar a casa.

We popped into the pub early in the afternoon to be greeted by a very unhelpful man but because we had travelled a long way this was our only option for eating in the village so booked a table for the evening, so glad we did, there was a really lovely couple behind the bar and the food ordered was cooked fresh and as asked for.

Pasó por aquí un viernes por la noche después de recoger mi hija de remo sólo para una bebida originalmente pero acabamos quedándonos un poco de comida. Buen menú es prácticamente tu grub estándar pub - gambas, bacalao rebozado, patatas, sandwiches, etc., pero la chaqueta también una tabla de ofertas con otros 5 o 6 opciones adicionales. Propietario era amable y gracioso. No tienen que esperar mucho para nuestra comida, a pesar de estar bastante ocupado el pub. Todas buenas porciones de tamaño de gambas y patatas fritas, lasaña de carne, pescado y pollo lasaña verde curry tailandés - todo muy sabroso. Curry era bastante picante para nuestro hijo de 10 años pero ella se las arregló! Nuestras chicas tenían los budines de chocolate fudge cake que era completamente delicioso! Vista del río es maravilloso, pero no caigas en una marea alta - afortunadamente hay más de una carretera que sale del pueblo! Muy agradable en todo.

Durante un fin de semana largo, un signo de este noticied pub y decidimos probarlo. es un poco aislada, pero muy agradable y tradicional. El menú tenía una buena selección de platos y la comida rápidamente y era muy buena y fresca. Porciones decentes tamaño y buena relación calidad-precio. El dueño incluso nos llevó 2 km hasta donde estaba alojado, ya que no había taxis disponibles.

Los brazos de pescadores hace un cambio agradable del bullicio y ajetreo de Fowey, que está situado a sólo unos kilómetros río abajo. Mientras que en Fowey puede pasar una hora o así que el estacionamiento y recuperar su coche, aquí se puede aparcar justo fuera gratis. ¡Hurra!

Booked a house in Golant so this was our local pub - great food and great service! We tried a number of different dishes during our stay. The homemade seafood lasagna was fantastic! Great views of the water and you can sit inside or outside...

Fino, no lo es. Sin embargo, gran comida de pub tradicional a precios razonables con una preciosa vista desde la terraza jardín con vistas al río Fowey. Tome un paseo entre los campos a lo largo del carril hasta el cruce de trenes. Usted puede ser la suerte de presenciar un tren deambular de su camino al lado del río, justo por encima del horizonte. Una pena Gales Inglaterra en el rugby puede superar. Esta es una verdadera joya, y un pub inglés tradicional, un poco deteriorado, pero eso es exactamente lo que lo hace tan encantador. Espero volver muy pronto.

Preciosa ubicación y claramente un pub popular para la comunidad local, que es precioso de ver. La comida es casera, pero faltan claramente ninguna finura. Nuestra lasaña hubiera sido mucho más atractivo con una pequeña ensalada fresca en vez de un conjunto barato de ajo pan de baguette que hubiera costado unos 50 p en el supermercado Asda. Bonito, pero podría ser fácilmente fabulosa con un poco de pensamiento y atención.

Vine aquí almuerzo entre semana tarde y, como era de esperar en esta época del año y el día este pequeño pub estaba casi desierta. Sin embargo, la propietaria de Ann Marie amablemente despedido hasta la cocina y hecho el cinco de nosotros una comida que, después de una mañana caminando aprecié mucho apreciamos. Recibirás típica de un pub, pero bueno recto alimentos, huevos y jamón, gambas y patatas fritas. Regados con un par de pintas de ale local. Lo que no gusta. El Fisherman's es normalmente abarrotada en temporada a pesar de estar bien aislada, pero vale la pena el esfuerzo para poder sentarse en el jardín con vistas al río Fowey. Ve y disfruta.

This is a good old fashioned pub serving traditional home made pub food. We had lasagne with garlic bread, the curry of the day (butternut squash, spinach and lentil curry and sausages and mash. All were tasty with good portions. Nice friendly owners.

Excellent scampi meal, piping hot and very tasty. Apple & Blueberry crumble highly recommended. Well worth the journey to enjoy great hospitally.

Como nos alojamos en la zona por una noche pensamos visitar el 'local' y fue muy amable, con un montón de viejas fotos interesantes en las paredes de Golant. Teníamos bacalao a la cerveza y patatas fritas, nada de lujos, pero deliciosa comida sana. Los manteles rojos había cuadros tradicionales, un ambiente agradable y disfrutamos mucho.

Parado para un almuerzo ligero durante una caminata por la costa y estaba encantado con este viejo y tradicional Inn. Situado justo al lado del agua, con una preciosa vista de la campiña de los alrededores, el hotel ofrece una buena cerveza y comida. arcilla de China es todavía parte de la industria de Cornwall, y, cada vez, un tren de mercancías ambles por arcilla, teniendo a la costa, pero esto no estropeó nuestro disfrute del entorno, la hospitalidad y el ambiente.

Nos topamos con este pub después de buscar comida en nuestros viajes, 3 adultos, 2 niños y un bebé (toda la quejándose por la comida!) después de ver un cartel (una estupenda comida todo el día) de la carretera principal por el que decidimos seguir ... Lo que nos llevó a un lugar encantador por el estuario, fuimos en encontrar a nadie, toqué el timbre ... No hay nada, nos llamó otra vez, todavía no hay nada casi listo para pasar la casera apareció y nos dijeron que no sirven comida todo el día pero sirven el almuerzo (esto fue 1300) decidimos quedarnos como todos estábamos hambrientos y estaba lloviendo. Pedí una trona y fue recibida con ondulantes ojos ... Pedí bebidas desde el encargado que also y no exactamente parece contenta que él tenía clientes! Yo casi la izquierda pero el hambre ha prevalecido!!! Entonces mi 6 años vino a felizmente sentarse en el bar mientras yo estaba pidiendo donde él decidió le dije de "no te puedes sentar allí, ir y sentarse con su familia" de nuevo deberíamos dejar? dolores de hambre Rolling en que se aventuró!! La comida estaba bien, nada especial, pero no las empanadillas? El bar era silenciosa, no hay ambiente y casi podía sentir el encargado esperando por nosotros para salir! Otro grupo venía (sin niños) y nos encontramos con una sonrisa de bienvenida y presentas charlar ... Me estaba empezando a conseguir paranoicos que quizá no es la derecha "clientela?" De todos modos respira nos un alivio cuando terminamos ... Y 60 libras! No cabe duda de que no es adecuado para familias! No volveremos!

Encontramos este hotel que está en un entorno encantador cerca Fowey pero por desgracia no exactamente recibirá una cálida bienvenida sudoeste! Aunque en el menú, que no tenían empanadas! Ver como era la hora del almuerzo y de Cornwall, lo que me pareció bastante extraño!

A friendly and welcoming village pub. Plenty of seating outdoors and in with terraces overlooking the river make for a nice setting. Decent food also which is great as there is not much choice otherwise in the village.

I love this pub because of its location. The food is good (a simple family menu) and the service friendly. We often visit by boat from Polruan for lunch or dinner. Definitely give it a try - beautiful on a sunny afternoon or evening.

Acabamos de pasar una semana en Golant y fuimos a la Fishermans Arms tres veces y comimos un par de veces. Comimos en el menú principal y lo bueno, la comida de pub coooked bien y se sirve muy rápido - encantador.

Had 2 meals at this pub - very poor quality and expensive. Plus things are pleasant host and beautiful location good beer, but doors left open on a cool night so my family had to sit with coats on - not good.

Had a lovely meal at the Fishermans served by the friendly owners, good value home cooked food enjoyed by us all. Reasonably priced tasty pub food something for everyone. Relaxed atmosphere.

Excellent food well worth a visit. Down a long country lane but very picturesque . The lane does get flooded during high tides.

Hermoso lugar, con mucho potencial. Las bebidas estaban bien. Desgraciadamente ha tenido poca atención a las críticas que data de 2008 (que nos hubiera gustado haber leído con antelación). 'Bacalao y patatas fritas', por casi 10 libras, parecía ser un apartamento losa de toda rota peces altamente con reminiscencias de los adquiridos en Islandia en 4 cajas de paquete para dos libras. Barman claramente lo sabíamos era indeseables como nunca nos preguntaron si la comida estaba bien durante la comida o cuando se paga ... mala comida y atención al cliente.

Hemos estado aquí dos veces las dos veces que lleguen en un kayack. aparcado en cerca de ribera. Las dos veces hemos encontrado pub agradable y acogedor, con una buena pinta de barril. Visité dos veces durante su estancia en Golant. He hecho comentarios antes de pubs con y sin mi sombrero de CAMRA esperábamos impacientes. Este pub demuestra lo que un buen casera puede hacer!

Qué descubrimiento. Sólo fuimos para un coche durante su estancia cerca Looe. Encontré El Fisherman's Arms y decidimos almorzar. Ambiente agradable de Avery, recibidos por un barman sonriente (quizás dueño). Pedimos algunas bebidas y el clima era bastante agradable para sentarse al sol con vista al río. La y un poco después de esperar comida Pedimos comida fue traído a la mesa. Excelente calidad y cantidad. Volveremos si estamos de vuelta en la zona.

Después caminamos a lo largo del Santos Golant Way Trail, optamos por volver la próxima noche para la cena. La comida era un típico pub. Estarás frotamientos codos con los lugareños y no vas a encontrar una tienda turística en el área inmediata. Tendrá que negociar el nivel estrechas carreteras de Cornwall para llegar allí y volver pero vale la pena.

really nice spot overlooking the river Fowey estuary. fantastic to sit and watch the high tide come in which fllods the lower access road. nice beer garden for a summers evening. we took the dog and were made to feel very welcome by the landlord and the regulars. the selection of ales and drinks was top drawer and the homecooked food was excellent, in flavour, quality and choice. really impressed and would have liked to have gone back. definitely recommended for that unique country pub feel. limited car parking thouhg

Las armas de los pescadores se encuentra justo en el estuario (muy cerca del agua que tienes que mantener un ojo para el coche, así que no hay capturado en las frecuentes inundaciones en la carretera fuera en Fowey).

We enjoyed this pub, it was friendly and right by the River and the food was good pub grub. Decent sized portions and fresh.
